Not Capturing Error

I'm trying to capture HDV off a mini tape on a new JVC GY HD200 using Final Cut Studio 2. I've downloaded the updates for Final Cut. FC recognizes the camera, will control it, will allow an in point edit and an out edit point. When I click the Log Clip button nothing seems to happen but when I click on batch it says the clip I have marked is Ready. I hit continue and the tape begins playing like it is being captured.
However, the tape continues to just keep running after the edit out point. Eventually an error message appears saying it has aborted due to no signal from the camera.
I've tried short ten second edits with the same results. Any ideas what I should try?
Thanks for any help.

Assuming your connecting with firewire make sure the deck/camera is outputting HDV via firewire. Read the manual to be sure. Sony products need the FIREWIRE CABLE DISCONNECTED TO MAKE THESE CHANGES. I'm not sure if this is the case with JVC.
Most HDV cameras and decks downconvert to DV using the same timecode that is used for deck control. So you think it is working up until the error message.
Good Luck

Try SUBMIT ... EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY and then analyze the list returned by the first program. You'll find examples for such code on SDN.

  • Oracle stored procedure call failed, but not captured by the error handling

    Hi All,
I have a unix shelll script which calls a stored proc in Oracle, the stored proc call failed due to "ORA-01033: ORACLE initialization or shutdown in progress".
But it is not captured in the error handling block, Any ideas why this had happened?
    SQL file had : my_test_sql.sql
    exec my_proc(..............);
Unix shell script has this call:
    sqlplus -s my_user/my_pwd@db1 @my_test_sql.sql
    if [[ $? -ne 0 ]]; then
    echo "failed"
    exit 1
    else
    echo "success"
    fi
If i execute the above shell, I'm getting the following
    ERROR:
ORA-01033: ORACLE initialization or shutdown in progress
    SP2-0306: Invalid option.
    Usage: CONNÝECT¨ Ýlogon¨ ÝAS SYSDBA¨
    where <logon> ::= <username>Ý/<password>¨Ý@<connect_identifier>¨ | /
    success.
    This puzzled me, any pointers?

The $? status variable shows the return code of the last command executed. It will be difficult to determine what the exit status of your sql script is without knowing the script. Do you have any "WHENEVER SQLERROR EXIT" statements in the script?
The ORA-01033 error happens when the database is not open, perhaps in recovery, or startup or shutdown is halted due to a failed or full disk, error in archiving or writing to redo, etc.

  • Error: "End of tape reached, last clip was not captured."

I am trying to import a clip that I have successfully captured in the past.
    *The Tape:*
    Vis.TC, Keycode, and Audio TC.
    *Batch Capture settings:*
Use logged clip settings, no handles, dv ntsc 48khz, 29.97, 24bit, 720x480 etc.
    *The Deck:*
Sony DVCAM DSR-11 deck, the same one I used for importing last time.
    *The Device Control Presets:*
Apple Firewire Basic, Time source: DV Time, 29.97, Non-Drop Frame.
I imported the telecine log and selected the clip I wanted to capture. I hit batch capture. Click ok to the batch capture settings. The deck winds to the spot on the tape, capture starts, after 10-12 seconds or so I get this message...
Error: "End of tape reached, last clip was not captured."
    http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3557/3354451183_fef917f317.jpg?v=0
Its clearly not the end of the tape...why is it doing this? How do I fix it? Any help is greatly appreciate.

Just to get you started, the DSR-11 firewire control protocol should be Firewire NTSC not Firewire NTSC Basic.
Also, are you sure the tape is NDF timecode?

  • Can not capture from Sony HDV 1080i (recording in 60i)

    Hello
We are trying to capture from the above camera to a Mac Dual G5. We are using FinalCutPro 5.1.2. We are using a FireWire 400 cable to connect to the front of the computer (have also tryed back of Cinema Display). The footage was captured in HDV1080/60i, and we have tried the corresponding formats in Easy Setup (Basic, standard, Apple Intermediate).
The problem: we can control the camera from the Log and Capture windows, but when starting capture, no data is coming in, and the program therefor gives up after a few seconds (displaying a no data error message).
We have tried Batch and Now capture. We can log clips, and get the correct time code, but can not capture those clips due to the no data problem.

This is a good workaround for curing your camera recognition problem with FCP (if that's what it is):
First, check that your Easy Setup / Timeline / Camera or Deck Settings are all exactly the same, then making sure your camera or deck is in VTR mode, try to capture again.
FCP uses a different form of QT than iMovie for capturing, so if the camera works in iMovie (or if it's listed in System Profiler) but not FCP, it obviously means your Mac can see the VTR but FCP can't, so you need to do this QuickTime fix.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301852
Follow the instructions carefully and you should have things running in no time - it's quite safe but you must Trash the Receipts AND re-install QT from the link provided.
If the Camera / Deck isn't recognised by iMovie or System Profiler, try resetting the Firewire Bus . . . Turn off the Mac and disconnect the power and all Firewire cables. Leave it for 30 mins then connect back up.
Still not working? Try a different Firewire cable.
Failing all this, try resetting the PMU (Power Management Unit). The method varies from machine to machine, so visit the Apple site and search for it in support.
Don't use iMovie for capturing - it doesn't give you a timecode and that's very important.
Let us know how you get on!

  • DVCpro 50 Deck shows up but will not capture

I can (finally) see the deck (SD93p) in my capture window and watch the footage, but it will not actually let me capture, it continues to have a "general error". I'm using FCP 5 and have the set everything up for DVCpro 50 (24p) Anamorphic, but something's missing. Can anyone help?

Your deck may not be showing you what code is on the tape. Is it set to display timecode?
The code you see in the top of the Capture Window what's coming from the tape. Changing that number will not do anything. If you want to enter an in, do it using the I key while the tape is playing or enter the code you want in the bottom left window of the capture screen.
If you are trying to use Capture Now, you must let the tape run until the TC is rolling before you press Now.
Better still, try logging a test clip to see if that works.
Play the tape, let it roll for 10 seconds then press the I key. Let the tape roll for another 10 seconds then press the O key. You have now marked an in and out.
Next press the F2 key (or press "Log clip" in the capture window) and a dialogue box will appear, name the clip and hit enter. You have now logged a clip.
Next, select the clip that you just logged, it will be the one in your browser with a red line through it. and choose Batch in the capture window. Does that work? If not, what error message do you get?
Another thing to make sure is that the tape you are trying to capture was recorded DVCPRO 50 since that is how you set up your capture preset. If it was recorded DV then you won't be able to capture till you change the preset.

  • Capture error premiere pro cs3

I've got an ongoing capture error in premiere pro cs3 (on Mac OSX).
At around the 9 minute mark of capturing, it stops and says 'Unknown recorder error'. The footage is still captured if I stop it straight away but lost if I leave it for a while. I'm using canon hv30 camera to capture dv footage (not hdv) and can't seem to solve it. Any suggestions?

Try a different capture utility.  VideoHelp.com will list plenty of free alternatives.  If they stumble as well, there ie likely something wrong with the tape at that spot.

    Hi,
Check with the minimum amount of the withholding tax code.
    Check accumulation activated or not.
If you are using portary dependencies check the base withholding tax code given.
While defining the withholding tax code check the posting indicator and check withholding tax formula is activated or not. if it is active then check the amount given in withholding tax code formulas.
    Still problem continue revert back.

  • Section Code details not captured at the time of vendor clearing

    Hi Experts !
I am  facing problem in clearing of vendors accounts through F-44 or F-54 . The problem is creating with those vendors accounts which having withholding tax.
Error massage is (Fill Section Code)
At the posting of down payment and invoicing documents section code is filled by user. But when we go for clearing those documents one clearing document is created, in this document Section Code details not captured and field is in inactive mode.
Please suggest me for same ASAP.
    Regards
    Amit Gupta

    Hi Amit,
Probably you are using a validation for making Section code mandatory. Check it in OB28. If it is yes, then check  whether you are using Set directory for including/excluding a list of transaction code for making section code mandatory. if it is yes, th exclude that T-code from validation as section code is not required to be filled in clearing transactions.
Section code is required for Witholding tax and section code is made a required field whereevr, TDS liability is generated. And  in clearing no liability is generated so section code is not required. It is not done through Field status group. It is doe either by Validation or by Screen transaction variant. SHD0.

The only thing I can think of is to check the Capture side - see Monitoring Capture - 11g Release 1 (11.1.1) (and the following chapter). Try to find what's being logged. Focus namely on Commit Batches (4.4.4.)
I'm afraid that either way (user will be in Capture, but not in UCM, or user won't be in either Capture, or UCM) you will need to search if something like that was not reported.

  • To Simulate PR creation and capture errors in SRM

    Hello Experts,
We are on SRM 7.0 EHP 1, classic scenario.
SC is created in SRM, post which, PR and PO gets created in ECC.
Sometimes, though SC is ordered successfully, it goes into error due to various reasons. (Mostly PR creation at ECC fails due to some data error etc)
    Is it possible that:
In SRM, once we order SC,
    > it will simulate PR creation in backend, Instead of actually creating a PR
    > capture error if any at the time of PR creation simulation
    > and display the same to user in SRM? So that user knows what the error is and hence can modify data and order SC successfully at one go?
Will it be possible to do this custom enhancement? Any pointers?
Is it possible to trigger an email to appropriate requestor based on RZ20 status? (As RZ20 captures error, can we send the SC error reason to requestor? But again this will increase requestors work of re-ordering the SC)
Are there any other simpler/better options?
    Thanks,
    Dhananjay

    Hello Ankit,
    Thanks for your reply.
    1. We do not have SC approval process in SRM. Once the SC is ordered its get auto-approved. So is there any BADI which I can utilize to simulate PR creation > capture error > and display it to Requestor?
    2. In the case email notifications, will it be possible to send the exact error reason for SC error? Do we have any standard FM to do this? or it will be custom code query on standard tables?
    Pls let me know.
    Thanks,
    Dhananjay

  • Facing problem while capturing error messages in ME51N

    Hi Experts,
In ME51N transaction, we have included custom fields and tried to capture Error messages by building ex_message.
Below is the code that we used:
             loop at tb_error into wa_error.
                wa_message-type   = WA_ERROR-TYPE.
                wa_message-id     = c_zpr.
                wa_message-number = '007'.
                 wa_message-message    = wa_error-message.
              wa_message-message_v1 = WA_ERROR-MESSAGE.
                wa_message-message_v2 = wa_eban1-bnfpo.
                APPEND WA_MESSAGE TO EX_MESSAGES.
                CLEAR WA_ERROR.
              endloop.
In my message class we have not hardcoded the messages because we need to capture dynamic messages(In message class it is 007: & & ). For that we have passed message text in wa_message-message.
But when Check button is selected, we are not the desired error message.
But if we pass the same message in Message_v1, we are getting the error message but it is getting truncated as the size is small when compared to Message field.
    Waiting for your response.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Amarnath

    Looks like configuration prob.
Have you tried jms examples of weblogic ? you may need to re-configure your server setup, to create example server.

  • BED value is not captured in the outgoing excise invoice

    Dear Friends,
I have  created a sales order consisting of BED,ECESS, SECEE duties in the sales order , delivered and created invoice and then raised excise invoice with the referance to invoice. Here BED is not captured in the excise invoice.
I will let you all know what is my analysis regarding this issue.
    1. I have checked the " maintain excise defaults" settings. i have checked the BED condition type(JEXP) is available under A/R BED cond or not. Then in trial error methode inputed diff places and checked.
    2.condition records are maintained properly.
Please let me know as soon as possible, if any other configuration part/settings to be maintained because my client is go living on next week.
    Regards
    Mohan

    Hiii
    Check the followings..
    1. Wheather you have maintain the condition type JEXT as 100% with condition record or not.
    2. Check you have maintain the condition type JEXT under, Logistic General -> Tax on Goods movement----> India -
    > Basic Setting -
    > Determination of Excise Duty -
    > Condition based Excise Determination -
    > Classify Condition type
check here condition type JEXT is maintain with your pricing procedure or not.
Hope it will solve your problem.

  • CVD not capturing in GRN(101 mvt type) with reference to STO

    Hi Experts,
This regarding the CVD not capturing at the time of 101 movement against STO.
    My scenerio is as follows.
I am importing some materials. Import PO will be based on a pricing schema where no CVD or customs duties are maintained. Against that Import PO GRN (101mvt type) will takes place at Port plant(Maintained Port as a plant). Now STO will be done from the manufacturing plant setting port plant as the supplying plant. This STO also based on the pricing schema where the Customs duties as well as the CVD s are maintained. Miro for the BCD & CVD will be done based on this STO and then MB1B with 351 mvt type will be done .Then by analysing financial documents having the CVD and BCD entries will be generated at the time 351 mvt type. Then GRN (101)at the Manufacturing plant against STO will be done. But in the Excise duty field the CVD values are not capturing.
Why CVD values are not capturing? Is it a std SAP functionality? If so please explain the logic.
If not please guide me why it is not capturing.
If Only at the time of 351 these excise invoice will be generated. How can I track the Invoice because during mb1b I am not supposed to put any vendor excise invoice number.
Please analyse this scenerio and guide me with your experience in this Ocean.
It will be helpful for me to tackle this issue raised by a client if you put some significant threads on this.
    Thanks & Regards
    Prabhul

    Dear
It is not possible in standard SAP. use the MB_DOCUMENT_BADI.
To get the order components use the COXT_BAPI_GET_DETAIL.
Now while doing goods issue using transaction code MB1A and MIGO system has to do the check:
If Quantity of issue in goods issue screen + Quantity withdrawn <= Requirement quantity then allow the transaction else throw an error u201CGoods Issue not possible for Requirement quantityu201D

  • Migrating from Sybase 11 to Oracle 10G : Data not Captured

    Hi,
We are working on an interesting customer engagement - one part of the effort is to migrate our Customer's Database. Our Customer is using the Sysbase 11 Database - we are planning to migrate this to Oracle 10G.
We are using the latest Migration Workbench - 10.1.0.4.0. We created a new user in one of our local DB Instances & used this credential to login to the Migration Workbench tool. We have the Source Files for the Sysbase 11Database.
We tried to capture the Source Model - unfortunately, the Tool claims that the Objects have been migrated, while the Source is not captured at all. The Error Log is alos silent about any problems.
We are flummoxed by this error as we have successfuly migrated from Sysbase in the past, but never encountered this error.
Can you guuys please help us out with this ?
Please do let me know if I need to post more information
    Thanks,
    Sandeep

    Sandeep,
Have you used this user which holds the omwb repository before for a migration? When you connected the first itme, did you get a message, that the repository tables did not exist and would you like to create them?
Are you using the connected or disconnected source model load?
