I'm a newbie on installing Oracle8i.
I 'm confused with some concepts in installation.
A.Listener Name
B.Service Name
C.Net Service Name
Question:
1.Does one A listen on only one port?
2.Can one A commuticate with several db instance?
3.Does B stand for a db instance's name?
4.Is B the same as ORACLE_SID?
5.If the host I'm running Oracle has the name as "xxx.yyy.com",then can I give B the form as "db1.xxx.yyy.com"?
6.Does C have the similiar meaning as all entries defined in /etc/services?
7.Shoud I add some entry in /etc/services for any of A\B\C?

You need to enter the Apple ID and password that was used to set up/activate the phone. There is no way around this.

Not clear about possibilities..

At Crescendo (The Global User Conference for the former company Stellent) they showed a demo of Oracle Content Server integration with Webcenter. Well, honestly I don't recall the whole thing, but I know they were showing Webcenter and had a lot of plans for it.
Maybe somebody knows of a screencast or something that shows some of this integration? I've found info to be fairly scarce on it as well.

Pacman 3.1.0 is not clear about updating itself

It's nothing bad, but when I upgraded pacman from 3.1.0-1 to 3.1.1-1 through pacman -Syu I got the "pacman has detected a newer version of itself" message but then was asked whether I want to cancel the current operation.
But that is in contradiction to the "pacman has detected a new version" message and yes and now still cause the old behaviour: yes upgrades and no aborts.
Nothing big, do you think one should post a bugreport for that (I just feel kinda reatardid opening a bugreport for something as little as this, but it's inconsistent and not clear what's meant, especially newbs might(should) get confused. I dunno if this "bug" (think it's just calling the wrong message) got fixed in 3.1.1 already since the version that produced it was 3.1.0.
In case you don't get what I mean, here is the output of pacman.

Please file a bug report. Seems like a legit complaint to me.

Airport Exterme 802.11n Wi-Fi MC340LL/A not sure about some settings ?

Yesterday I bought a Airport Extreme ( Base Station ) 802.11n Wi-Fi MC340LL/A ( Model No. A1354 )
I have managed to figure out most of the setting in the Airport Utility ( Setup Guide that came with the Airport Extreme is No help with details about any settings except the Very Basic ones ) and My wireless network is setup and working but May need tweaking for even better performance.
But there are some settings/choices I'm not familiar with and Not quite sure what options I need and don't need.
My Network - No Network Disk Connected, Guest Network or Files being Shared
( at least not for now )
Connected through wireless access - ( WPA2 Personal Security )
MacBook 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (13-inch, Late 2009) –

This would be the correct setting if the AirPort Extreme is connected to a simple modem (one ethernet port).
*Settings I have Enabled*
5 GHz name indicates that you have elected to use the option to assign a separate name to the 5 GHz network. This will allow you to "tell" compatible computers to connect to that network, rather than the slower 2.4 GHz network
Use Wide Channels is recommended for 5 GHz operation.
Interference Robustness often does more harm than good and should not be used unless you know you are in a area with a lot of wireless networks and you feel that your network is experiencing interference issues from a nearby network.

I've learned how to import some other languages cmap files here.
I wonder, do I have to hold a cmap file for all types of font out there? or is there an API to perhaps dynamically download these cmap files? or I've missed something...?

Sounds like you've deleted some files that Photoshop installed (in this case the UI font file).
You probably just need to reinstall Photoshop, figure out how you deleted the font file, and not do that again.

Not clear about My Photo Stream, Camera Roll, transfer into iMac.

When I transfer into iMac using wi-fi /iCloud, some of the photos are missing in Camera Roll (iPad) and iPhoto (iMac), usually the photos I want to keep, use and post.
They are there in Photo stream still. To get them I email them on or send to Facebook. Why?

Not clear about dns service for new Mac 10.4 server

Due to low budget, I am given the task to convert a powermac g4 into a Mac 10.4 server. I have already installed it as a stand alone master but will promote it to directory master as soon as I configure proper dns setup.
Now my westell router shows that the dns is 192.168.1.1 and the domain name as myhomwestell.com, does that mean my zone name has to be westell.com? Can having both dns service conflict with each other or is it fine?

BTW,I got my mirrorlist via the action "sudo reflector -o /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist".:P

I think SPD is the download speed of the current package and TOTAL SPD is the total download speed.
Since Powerpill downloads many packages simultaneously the total speed is the sum of all download speeds of all packages together which are currently being downloaded.

I am not clear about avg. response time: 0.097 ---actually it is in seconds right??
SO 0.097 means less than 1 seconds it it true???
sometime i observe that avg. response time as 0.67 ..............again it is less than 1 seconds
So how actually it is calculated in VSTS webtest 2012..............??
because when i took the reading from fiddler or network capture ---------for the same scenario -------i observed it is taking 7-8 seconds .........here -------its showing 0.097 ............
I understood ................here load is of 50 users..............but for single users also i observe avg. response time as 0.29 or 0.037 like that
Very confused about this result
Could you please tell me formula or detailed explanation?????????

As Jack has stated the response times are measured in secs.
If you think the response time is unrealistic have you tried doing a single test run directly from your script? What response time do you get?
Also how have you setup your users? Are they all cached enabled or 100% new users? You can check this if in the loadtest you click on the scenario name and then in the properties section there is a field called: "Percentage
of new users" if this is 0 that means all your users have cached enabled and this could be reason why the response times are so low.

I am not clear about the statment below. What does redundant D means.

By default any floating-point literal in Java is a double, so the trailing D that specifies that explicitly is redundant.
