Not Collated Printing

Hi all,
When i have a single paged layout and when the data from for instance an invoice is more than 1 page, than the layout does everything allright and continues on the next pages.
But when I want to print it twice or more and I uncheck the checkbox "collate" (so I get all de first pages first and then all the second pages etc) than the the package is still printed collated.
Example: I have am invoice that is 3 pages long and i want to print it twice.
Collated printing
The package consists of 1,2,3 and than again 1,2,3
NOT collated printing
Normally: 1,1,2,2,3,3
SBO does: 1,2,3,1,2,3
So, SBO doesn't print not-collated (also not when the printer is said to do it). SBO keeps sending packages of 1 layout at the time. So in the example: SBO sends twice 1,2,3 in separate printjobs.
Can anybody help me so I can print NOT collated with an PLD-layout?

1. After Print Preview,then Print.
2. Using document printing,then print.

CR XI R2 Viewer not obeying printer collation setting?

Just noticed this. Steps to duplicate: Print a printjob to the viewer. Hit print button in Viewer. Change to 2 copies, change collation, print.
Result is the same whether you select a collation of 111 222 333 or 123 123 123. Printout is printed as 11 22 33.
Seems like the viewer is not obeying the collation setting of the print dialogue.
Can this be fixed?

I found this forum thread - [Collate Copies bugs|Collate Copies bugs; - that discusses this issue. According to one of Ludek's replies he tested printer collating with both CR XI R2 and CR2008 and it worked correctly for him, though that might have been in the designer directly.
Unfortunately CR XI R2 is anything but cutting edge at this point. As noted previously CR XI R2 won't be receiving any further updates. Earlier updates are no longer available, so if you don't have earlier Service Packs there's no way to "go back" to an earlier file version for testing.
Hopefully some else has some additional thoughts.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe you need Acrobat Pro for that.

Adobe doc HP duplex collated printing slower than collating with hand labor

Hi,
My duplex Hewlett Packard LaserJet 4200 printing an ALAP imposed InDesign Book takes three minutes to spool the document (80 page book printed on both sides of 20 legal sized sheets).
Ten copies collated requires 30 minutes to spool ten times and 20 copies requires slightly more than one hour before my iMac g4 OSX 10.4.3 quits spooling and starts printing.
Not collated requires only one spooling cycle.
I realize Adobe can't support or even recommend the plugins that make InDesign work and Apple can't support printers it doesn't manufacture, still, it seems to me that a 1 ghz computer made by anybody should be able to collate any printer output faster than unskilled hand labor.
So far no technician at Adobe, Apple, or Hewlett Packard has figured out how to make my printer collate faster than manual labor using their products in combination.
Ideas?
Adobe wants me to buy $400 more software which then requires different imposing software for at least another $350 (but can't say this will actually solve the problem).
Would I be better off buying a small Microsoft computer to run the HP printer after doing the work on my iMac?

Hi Garrett -
Unfortunately there's nothing Apple or Adobe can do and HP won't volunteer the information.
The speed (pages per minute) of a laser printer is predicated on 2 key factors:
1- Printing 'pure' business letter text... no graphic effects such as bold, italic, underline, let alone images of any sort, and
2- Printing consecutive copies of the same page... collating blows that out of the water.
Unless you have an ultra-high end commercial laser, you're better off printing one set & running the additional sets at a service bureau or sending the whole job out. You'll save time & money.

Document in DMS can not be printed using FM CVAPI_DOC_VIEW

Hi Experts,
We've been using FM CVAPI_DOC_VIEW in the program to get the document in DMS and set value of import parameter 'PF_APPTP' to 3 to make the document to be printed.
But after our system upgraded to ECC6.0, the document could not be printed, only displayed in the screen.
Could you please tell me anything has changed to cause the issue?

In this text field if the user enters more than a page, a scroll bar appears in the print preview where the users can view the complete text what they have entered, but while printing the text which exceeds more than a page is not getting printed in the next page.
I have set the subform properties as "Flowed" and the check box "Allow Page Break within content" is also been enabled, but still the extra contents is not getting printed in the next page.
Please help me regarding this.

This issue is in ADOBE, I think there is no concept of Window in ADOBE,
The text box is placed inside a Subform.

Barcode is not getting printed in the SmartForm

Hi All,
I am trying to print BARCODE in a SMARTFORM but it is not getting printed.
I have created a barcode ZTest_Barcode from the transaction SE73. Then I have created a Character Format C1 with this barcode ZTest_Barcode.
In the SmartForm I have applied this character format like this <C1>&WA_VBAK-VBELN&</C1>.
But in the preview of this SmartForm barcode is not getting printed while this field is printing like <C1>220<C1>.
I have also tried with some SAP barcodes like BC_CD39, C128A_01, etc. But the result is same.
Please help me to resolve this issue.

Barcode is not getting printed in Sapscript

Hi,
I want to print the PO as barcode in my Script. I have converted the output to PDF format
I have created a character format for this and given C128A as Barcode and used this character format to print the barcode. but the barcode is not geettting printed in the PDF output. the PO is blank.
Did i miss anything in the process?
Please let me know the exact procedure for printing the Barcodes.

hi,
There're differents solutions for the creation and print BARCODEs . All of them have the same problem : When you create a spool from a form/smartform with Barcodes, it's not possible to convert the spool to a PDF file because the BARCODE is created at the time of printing.
just try printing one copy and see.

I have new Epson printer with airprint possibility. Printer is on wifi and iphone can see it and print files. but ipad does not find printer at all?

Dunning letter could not be printed F150

Hello,
I have following issue: Customer does not getting dunned because of u201CDunning notice for account:
'D' '3015707 ' was not printed Forms for MAHNR: 'Z001', RBUKM: 'FI10', KOART: 'D' do not exist (T047E)u201D, but if I am looking in that table T047E all these enties are populated and smartform assigned to them.
And this is the only one Customer with such problem, for all others dunning letters could be printed.
Any ideas?

Maybe this will help others get around or solve this issue. I was trying to print a 67MB PDF created in INDD (similar to others created and printed that day) and got the same messages as other posters:
Document could not be printed
There were no pages selected to print (even though All was selected)
I updated to 11.0.10 and continued to get these messages.
Ultimately Distiller was the solution.

APEX4.0.2 - Interactive Report total is not getting printed when downloaded

I've an Interactive Report based on a sql in Apex 4.0.2. There is a Balance column whose total sum is displayed at the bottom of the table.
When I download the report, the total sum of balance column is not getting printed in the bottom of the report.
Could this be a bug or have I missed some setting?

Hi,
Whilst you can update the SQL to include totals, these would probably not be effective if the user filters the data (the total row may be filtered out) or sorts columns (as the total row would likely be sorted as normal data).
Unless someone else has any other ideas on this, this may be something that needs to be logged with the Apex team as an enhancement request - create a new thread and start the Subject as "Enhancement Request:"

Invoice is not getting printed for particular 3 customers

Hi,
When user is printing the Invoices, only for specific 3 customers it is it not getting printed automatically, but the output is shows success with green. When they re process it manually, it is printing successfully for the same printer.
1. Printer setup is checked it is correct
2. There are two outputs one is External send (E-mail) and one is Printout.
3. The problem is with only the Printout, where as the external send (E-mail) is sent successfully.
Help me out in this issue...

First of all Welcome to SCN Forum
Please check wheather any subroutine has been assigned to the output type access sequence.If the problem is with printout only then check the Logical destination that has been maintained in VV32 for those 3 customers.In VV32 for those 3 customers check wheather Release Immediately has been checked or not. Before reprocessing it go to VF02 and check on determine analysis

Document could not be printed - no pages selected to print

I am running into this well-known issue with several documents, but unfortunately none of the fixes I have come across have worked. Some background:
-Using Windows 7 Pro
-Happening with both Adobe Reader XI and Acrobat X, clean installs. and happening on multiple computers, with multiple printers, with multiple domain users.
-Have tried repairing both installations, no success.
-Have tried disabling protected view, changing size of the fit, letting printer determine colors, printing in greyscale, changing setting for "view documents in PDF/A mode" to "never."
-Print as image works, but quality is unacceptable.
-It seems to be isolated mainly to Xerox printers, as I have no issues printing to an HP printer. I am trying different models of Xeroxes with no success, however. I have reinstalled printer driver and verified updated driver for all, issue persists. Printer models are Xerox ColorQube 8700X and 9203
-The PDFs are from different sources, so I can't pinpoint it to one website. Documents contain various financial info, so I can't post here. Any help would be appreciated. I'm probably going to have to try a different pdf reader for these, but that is not ideal, since multiple people need to print these and are comfortable using Adobe software.

I was also receiving the message "The Document Could Not be Printed" I am on 10.6.4 with Acrobat 9.4.1. I did not get the second part of the message though "There were not pages selected to print". Anyway, I got mine to work by going to Preferences - Print & Fax. I selected my printer and clicked Options & Supplies. Under the driver tab I changed the "Print Using:" box to Generic PostScript Printer. I'm not sure if this is what you are supposed to do. I'm not an expert but it worked for me so I am going with it.

set the wake-on lan on the main computer
The laptop's too far away from the router to be connected by ethernet. It's all wifi.
No separate server app on the laptop, it's all samba
The files are on a windows laptop and a hard drive hooked up to the windows laptop. The windows share server is pants, so I'd need some sort of third party server running. Maybe you weren't suggesting to use Samba to connect to the windows share though?
I'm glad that you've all understood my ramblings and taken and interest, thanks The way I see it, I can't be the only netbook user these days looking for this kind of convenience, and I certainly won't be once chrome and moblin hit the market.
