Helping a friend with older computer. Windows based. Used IE to find Firefox website. Hit download button. Chose to run. About two minutes later received the message, not compatible with this architecture.
Which Firefox version are you trying to download?

Did you try the solution given, and if yes, did it work?
I have done several "attempted downloads, and see the full file download, typically taking 30 minutes to complete, and then something goes wrong.
I am happy to suspend AV and FW software, but would like to know if it is a good fix or not first?

Why do I keep getting an error message for CS6 beta when I try to extract and install, message file missing?
I assume you downloaded from here: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/photoshopcs6/
Did you successfully download the file and check file sizes match? Do you extract ok? PC, I assume? What OS are you using?
How far did you get in the installation? Did you select TRY rather than enter serial number? Did you enter your Adobe ID?
By the way, you should change your name to something other than your email as the bots will go nuts when they find that and you may get spam.

Post relates to: Palm TXHi winston45, SkyScape offers some marvelous medical software, but the installation instructions are very specific.
Some files go to your SD card, and others to the main RAM in the device. SkyScape includes installation guides and manuals in all of the downloads I've ever used. Be sure to follow the instructions to the letter.
There is help offered on their website too for installation issues.

Error message when trying to archive and install back to 10.5.6 from 10.5.7
KB article tells me you cannot install an OS on a computer that has a newer version of the OS... is there a way around this? i want to go from 5.7 to 5.6.

If you put a little more detail in your profile it would save a lot of surmising on our part.
Also more details on what OS/Version the computer came with and what version is on the DVD you are using for installing, as well as the kind of DVD it is. -
Got the message "not compatible with this signal" on TV when connecting ATV to HD TV.
I got the message "not compatible with this signal" on TV when connecting Apple TV to my Sharp HD TV.
Go into safe mode an uninstall this new game.
If this doesn't work, uninstall the graphics driver so Win will install it again after restart.

Upgraded old Mac mini (from 10.4 to 10.6) PowerPC G4 Processor, downloaded latest version of Firefox and ran installer, got a dialogue box that said 'not compatible with this architecture', now I don't have Firefox at all, and it is my preferred browser.

We get an error message when trying to download in-app purchases on the iPad using an iTunes card. This worked on other ipads. Just not this particular one.
We have tried deleting and re-installing the apps and attempting the in-app purchase again. Still get error messages. These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? (For example, 8007000B.) -

You can't use Safari to download iPad apps. Only use iTunes/App Store.

I keep getting an error message when trying to download itunes. It says it can't find "msvcr80.dll, but when I search for it on my computer it is there. My itunes was working just fine before I got the message to download the latest upgrade. I've not had any problems doing that before now, so don't really know what to do.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.
