Not connect to icloud

My mothers gen 1 ipad will not connect with icloud all of a sudden, so she cannot send or receieve mail. The usernsme or password is incorrect it says, but I "know" they are not. She was getting her mail fine the last time I saw her and nothing has been changed. I even vrrified they were correct. Is anyone else having trouble with icloud?

I am not clear on what the error is. First thing to try, clear your cache and restart the computer. Also,try a different browser, so if you are using Safari try Chrome. At least this may help pinpoint the issue.

I have (sorry forgot to add that). I was switched around and finally I was told I would be put through to a supervisor but after being on hold for about 10 minutes the phone went dead, I did not lose connection so I do not know if I was hung up on or there was some technical difficulty. I called again yesterday and did in fact speak with a supervisor for Account Security but he told me he did not know why it was happening and put me through to a different number but that ended up not being any helpful either. That's when I decided to give it a shot on here!

Is there a way apple can block an iPod when it's not connected to iCloud? If I unregistered it would it wipe the iPod of my details? As my sisters iPod got stolen and is all linked to my account.

No, unless Find My iPod was enabled on it before it was stolen then there isn't any way for you to try and locate and/or remotely wipe it - and that will only work if it's connected to a network and the device hasn't already been wiped and/or Find My iPod disabled on it.
If it was stolen then you should report it to the police. You should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.

IPhoto can not connect to iCloud

My iPhoto works very well before I chose to connect to iCloud to download/share my photos.
Once I chose the option connect to iCloud, my iPhoto worked extremly slow, even a dying status. Then I can't chose any options through iPhoto.
I must force to close the iPhoto option in iCloud setting.
I have tried to rebuild or repair my library, it still didn't work.
I have enough hard disk space for my iPhoto running.
I have delete the file "com.apple.iphoto.plist" and restart iPhoto, it didn't work.
So, now, I can use iPhoto to view and edit my photos, but not connecting to iCloud to share my photos with my iPhone.

Try this. Using Safari go to iCloud.com. Tap the URL field. Pull Favorites down and tap request desktop site. Sign in to your iCloud account.

I can not connect to iCloud from safari

I suddenly can not connect to iCloud.com from safari. I have no issues with chrome, firefox etc. Is there a setting that is blocking this site?

Might be a cookies, cache, or extensions issue.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that doesn't help, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

Trying to follow Apple instructions to erase content before sending but 5 will not connect to iCloud so I can't proceed - when promoted to enter password I keep getting "Verification failed. every once in a while my iPhone 5 fails to recognize my Apple ID. I don't have to go all the way to Restore to Factory Settings, I just have to turn off the phone. (Hold down top button until screen asks to slide if you want to turn it off.) Give it a few seconds, turn it on again.

All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

Iphone will not connect to icloud.

iphone will not connect to icloud. I get a verification failed box that says The connection to icloud timed out. I am connected to wifi. My photo stream on my pc hasn't updated for months. The last time anything was uploaded to my photo stream on my computer was back in mid August. I don't know what to do. My photo stream on both the PC and my iphone is set to automatic. My photos should transfer over when there is a wifi connection. I'm not sure what is going on. I have tried turning the photo stream on and off on both my pc and iphone to try to reset it. I have changed the destination folder for my photo stream hoping that my photos will repopulate. Nothing has worked. When I go to my settings and icloud, my iphone just will not connect. I constantly get a verification failed box. I don't know what is going on. I'm extremely frustrated. My iphone 5 has been updated to to ios 8.1 and my PC has icloud 4.0.

You don't have too many devices. You should be able to connect to icloud as long as you go to Settings>iCloud and sign in using the correct ID and password - are you absolutely sure you are using the right ones???

It won't give me the option to sign out of the old account, it's that light grey color that you can't click on. And since it has the old email address that it's telling me to go into to verify the account, I can't actually change it... I'm stuck

OSX Mail will not connect to iCloud server?

I realise that this has been asked before but nothing suggested seems to work for me? Basically the Mail app will not connect to the icloud server? I use a @me.com email address. The error I get is:
The server returned the error: The connection to the server “p01-imap.mail.me.com” on port 993 timed out.
I cannot for the life of me change this server address. I think I need to lose the p01 part? I have tried deleting account and adding it back but still the same. The strange thing is that the settings on my home iMac seem to be the same but it is my Macbook pro with retina that will not connect. I am completely up to date with latest software on Mavericks. Mail is working for my work email on an exchange server so I know that app iteslef is working. Its been like this for a few weeks now but I thought it was just my work network blocking it but only just realised it is happening at home as well where it used to work.
Any advice gratfully received.

the 'p01......' is correct, so is the port 993. I would recomend opening mail and selecting Mail>Preferences>Accounts and then highlighting your icloud account and delete it by clicking the "minus" button, then add it back again.

Keynote not connecting to iCloud

All my Keynote documents on my ipad have disappeared. They are on icloud but i cannot retrieve them. And when I check settings it does indicate on but then turns itself off. So, Keynote won't connect to iCloud. What the Heck?

I found this same issue and it was maddening. My Keynote docs disappeared but my Numbers and Pages documents did not.
More bizzare: when I logged into my icould account on the web, my Keynote docs were there, but my Pages and Numbers docs were not. After reading some posts, I logged into the web under another .me email address that I never use for docs (just email). This ID doesn't sync contacts, calendars, anything. Under that ID, I found no Keynote docs but I did see my Pages and Numbers.
I turned off icloud on all apps. Turned back on Document & Data under iCloud. Deleted my second email account from my ipad. Turned on (one by one!) iCloud under each app.
As I opened Keynote, all my presenations appeared. When I opend Pages and Numbers, all my local docs sync'd back so that I could see them on the web.
It does appear that there is a serious issue here. I will not be using a second icloud email address on iOS devices until I know this is fixed. It scared the crap out of me!

I have recently upgraded to Mavericks on my Mac and have lost all my notes which used to appear in the email section.
I have done what is suggested to sign out of icloud then back in again but this has not worked for me.
Can someone from apple support please detail in simple terms exactly what I have to do to get notes back into the email section.
Notes are still on my iphone 5 but not anywhere on my mac and this was simple before I installed Maverick as whatever I wrote on notes on my phone synced with my mac and vice versa.
Why are things so simple, then you change something and it becomes a problem??
Please help me fix this!

ITunes account not connecting to iCloud

When I log into my iTunes account using my PC (Windows 8) it's doesn't connect to iCloud so I cannot view the music and films stored through my library. I have attempted to re-authorise my pc but still nothing. I have, however, managed to download from iCloud using my iPod touch (5th generation). My iPod touch is new and I was wondering if using my iPod to download from iCloud has somehow knocked out the settings on my PC but I am not sure what I am looking for. Prior to downloading from iCloud using my new iPod I was able to view/download from iCloud using my PC. Please help!

Open iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Store and make sure Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases is checked. Also make sure you are signed in with your iTunes store ID (if not, go to Store>Sign In and sign in with it). Also, if you are trying to access previously purchased content from iCloud make sure you are doing it this way: Download past purchases.
