Not displaying igoogle themes on secondary user

I am running windows 7 on a new hp laptop with a i3 core. The secondary user on this machine has igoogle for the home page and it will not display the theme and some icons on the home page. I have uninstalled and reinstalled firefox and adobe flash and still does not work correctly, and for a time the primary user (admin) dit not function in the same manner and then pop it was there.

Reset Permissions (Get Info ) Repair Permissions (disk utility)

Jerky scrolling and Safari not displaying most jpegs in one user a/c

I upgraded my 15" mid 2010 MBP to Mountain Lion and find that it is behaving oddly. I have two different user accounts and the oddities vary between accounts. In one, most jpegs in Safari are not displayed, substituted with black rectangles with patterns of coloured dots (in the other, there is no problem with rendering pictures). The scrolling of pages is extremely jerky in Safari and far from perfect elsewhere (slightly jerky in Preview eg). Even the dock magnification is jerky, with icons breaking up as you pass over them.
In both accounts the scroll bar in Safari flickers on and off irrespective of whether the setting in General prefs is for the scroll bar to display permanently or not. The less troubled user account is noticeably snappier in action (eg opens the About this Mac screen with no delay compared with a second or so in the other account).
I've tried ditching the caches for Sarari with no effect. I rebuilt permissions after the install. I'm at a loss to know what to do next as it feels like a generic video problem but, bizarrely is more or less confined to one account.
Any clues?

Check Safari > Preferrences > Extensions
If there are any installed, turn that OFF, quit then relaunch Safari to test.
If it's not an extension issue, try troubleshooting third party plugins.

Actions not displaying in Overview for ONE user ID

Hi Frnz...
For only ONE user ID Actions not displaying in Overview tab.
For this User ID Overview details are visible for some Employee IDs and for some its not visible.
Already checked Roles & Authorisations and IT 0302 & 0000 are active. Have also run RPUEVSUP.
Just to add.. this query is happening while a technical upgrade has happened from 4.6 to 6.0.

Web template not displaying report properly for few users

Hi,
We have a report based on a web template.The box is supposed to display values for certain fields.
For some users, this box is not displaying any values, its coming as blank and its shrinked in appearance.
This happens only for a few users.There are others who are able to see the report correctly with the values appearing
Any idea from where should we start trouble shooting and what should we look at?

Hi,
You can specify the properties for your Web application in each Web template. The settings you have made can then be saved in a library and applied to any other Web template as needed. Choose the Web template for which you want to make the settings from the dropdown box in the header of the Properties window of the Web Application Desginer.

Problem with "Group By" in Views - Not Displaying the Same for All Users

We have an Announcements List with its only View being set up to group by a metadata category field. We've done this many times on other kinds of lists and never had a problem. But with this list, about half the users can see only the ungrouped
set of announcements, whereas others actually see the items within their groups.
Those with "View" rights only can't see the grouped items - but that appears to be a coincidence as I promoted them to the same rights as others who can see them correctly, and that did NOT solve the problem. Everyone is using the exact same browser.
Note: the users who do NOT see the groupings see only a single category entry that displays only the name of the category list (but not the names of the actual categories within the category list). All the announcements are grouped under that one
entry for those users. This display looks exactly like it would if the categories had been left blank when the original announcements were created. But the categories are NOT blank, and the rest of the users can see them just fine, and the announcements display
within their appropriate groups.
I can't find anything in the View, the List Settings, or the User Permissions to explain this. What could be causing it, and how can I fix it?

Browser settings are controlled by central IT and are all identical.
The only difference I can detect is the second set of users (that don't see the category options) have only Read rights, whereas those with Contribute (or above) rights can see the categories. It doesn't make
sense that permissions would affect this, but I can't come up with any other differences.
Microsoft will not allow me to upload images. it says I can't upload images until they have verified my account, but there is no clue as to how, if or when that might happen. If you can tell me how to fix that, I can provide samples.

Not displaying customized themes when running apps as root

The thing is that i usually have compiz enabled as normal user... but whenever i run an application as root, this appears withouth any decoration........ i know is really not really important thing,but the point is that i remember it not happening before..... which could be the reason for this behaviour?

like ronin said you would have to set up your themes for root, It's good they look different though then you won't forget they're running as root and do something you shouldn't thinking the app is running as a user.

BEX query: filter is not displayed in one of the users

Hi,
We created a BEX Query with a Month/Year filter.
When I run the query with my user, it's working ok (photo 2).
When I run it with another user, the filter is not dislayed (photo 1).
I've checked the role with PFCG, bit i don't know what it's misssing. The infoarea, infocube and name of the query are included in the PFCG, as well as the activities: execute, visualize, etc. (Photo 3).
Any ideas?

Just compare assigned roles for My user and other user.
Then you may know the missed authorizations.
As my guess your issue will authorization related one.

ISight not working with Skype on secondary user accounts

Having problems with Skype on my iMac. I cannot consistently get the built in iSight to work when logged into my partners user account. It seems to work OK from my main (admin) account but more often than not it don't light up and is greyed out in Skype preferences. This is a major problem for me that has been ongoing since Snow Leopard or perhaps longer.
I am running OS X 10.6.2 and Skype 2.8.0.722 - both the latest available versions. Any help appreciated.

My start up disk not displayed nor is my local(user) in my Finder OSX 10.8???

I started my Mac Pro like always and today my OS disk and local user fole is not in my Finder under users or devices...really confused as to why. I did not do a thing to the system and should not be klike this. I even ran a verify disk in disk utility and of course all fine as well as the disk is there. ANY help much appreciated!

Backup / Clone the system (ideally you have a clone of your boot system drive from before) / Used ML Recovery Mode?
Don't just verify from the disk you are working running off.
Do a Safe Boot as well.

InternetErrorDlg WinInet API does not display credential dialog box for user in IE10 when proxy is set

I have set proxy server in IE. I prompt user for credentials using InternetErrorDlg API. Prompt appears in IE 9 and below. In IE10 and IE11 prompt doesn't appear.

LXDE panel menu does not display in regular user mode

Hello All,
Running arch on eeepc 1000HE. Running openbox with lxde. The menu on the panel does not display when in a regular user mode, but does display when in su mode. The button for the menu displays but when pressed the menu is blank. It seemed as if the /usr/share/application file was not being read properly so I changed the owner to my user to see if it was a permission issue. That did not help. I have not yet seen a problem like this on the web.

It can. The configuration is in /etc/xdg/menus/lxde-applications.menu. You can also copy that file into ~/.config/menus to keep your modifications local.
This brings me to two suggestions for you brahan: Check if you have a ~/.config/menus/lxde-applications.menu, and delete it if you do. Then restart lxpanel. The other thing, check if you have /etc/xdg/menus/lxde-applications.menu and what are it's permissions.

APs not displaying CDP information in WCS on newley configured Switches

We're changing our edge switches from vlan 1 flat network to layer 2 trunk switches.
1 trunk for data 1 for voice.
New native vlan is 555.
Since starting this, the APs are not displaying any CDP or connected users in WCS.
Vlan 1 is being trunked.
WCS and WISM are using ver 7.
Any ideas?

Are the APs connected to trunk ports or access mode?
If trunking is not needed on AP switchport, can you change to access-mode?
I read, there are issues on CDP when AP is connected to trunk port and native vlan is not 1.
Access mode on switchport would fix this.

Version 3.0.04 (04.34) Quick Outline not displaying for Package Body

All,
I am using the latest release of SQL Developer (Version 3.0.04 Build MAIN-04.34)
When I try and do a quick outline on one of the packages the package body node + sign disappears and the quick outline is empty apart from the package body name.
I have checked I have no < or > in text or anonymous pl/sql blocks within procedures as per previous posts.
The package body is over 6000 lines long but a package body which is 8000 lines displays the outline correctly.
Has anyone else experienced this behaviour ?
The package body has not changed and the quick outline worked in v2 versions of SQL Developer.
Any ideas ?

Hi, I can confirm I am having the same problem as ChrisR, I have the same SQL Developer version.
I found out that the parser have probably problems with declared functions and procedures at the beginning of the package body...
Anyway, when I was searching what's going on, I found somewhere on the internet that this bug was reported long time ago in version 2.xx and it should be fixed in version 3.

That occurs when the library has lost the link to the original file. This is a result of a damaged library database file, Library6.iPhoto. You can try rebuilding the library from within iPhoto to see if you can recover the photos by launching iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select the first three options. However, it's iffy.
You can rebuild the library with iPhoto Library Manager as it create a new library, leaving the original one intact, by reading the AlbumData.xml file and copying what it needs. You will be able to recover the photos, albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, slideshows, and calendars will not be recovered. Here's how:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 -Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 -Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your User/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File->Rebuild Library menu option
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: It may take some time to create the new library if you have a lot of photos. Report back on how long it took and how many photos you have in the library so we can give other users an idea of how long it may take.
It that doesn't work you'll have to start over with a new library and import the Originals folder from the old library as follows:
Creating a new library while preserving the Events from the original library.
Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
Open the library package like this.
Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
Drag the Originals folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.
This will create a new library with the same Events as the original library if you have the Finder checkbox unchecked in the Events preference pane.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
