is almost full. I bought a WD 1Tb external drive and backed up my drive, and there's a heap of space left on it (over 900 gb) I want to burn some movies I shot on holiday . before buying the external drive, my mac told me that there was not enough disc space to burn my movie, and a friend recommended getting an external drive to free up some space. So what's my next step?

I did what you suggested. I partitioned my 1tb External drive and moved my movie project (8.89 Gb unedited material so far) into the free space which has a 456Gb capacity. I opened the movie and couldn't work with it; it freezes, moves along a couple of seconds, freezes, moves along a couple seconds, freezes...you get the picture. eventually. Same with trying to import more frames. I tried opening the project directly, then tried by opening imovie and accessing it from there. Same result. ***!! If you or anybody else has any other suggestions then I'd love to hear them!

This is webtool kit problem if you have a rather large library in my case a little over 250GB and you play music as you work Itunes goes out and tries use the Genious recomandations this is a great feature but the problem is after awile all of those requests and threads leaves Itunes in a less than stable state.
If you are running in Jukebox mode ie just listening to music hide the Geinus Recomandations it should improve your listening experince under Windows 7 64bit.

Occurs when trying to write data ( out.write(bytes) ) to a DataOutput. Is there any way to know the available space in the data output? Or any other method to avoid this exception?

I'm not sure because the code that I'm testing is not written by me and it's very large. I suppose that must write into cache. Anyway, I've erased 3 lines and now the problem is moved to another line. In that line, the solution seems to be easier.

I am attempting to make a movie with Imovie HD 6.0.1, And it's not happening. I'm loading footage from my Canon HV40 (HD) and its stalling big time. Not enough processor/ram capability I believe. How can I free up my drive in order to make my film? I am going to get my imac 1Tb hard drive soon, but until then? Help!

Your Mac should be just fine. The only thing you haven't told us is how much FREE space there is on your hard drive.
You should update to iMovie 6.0.3, which is free. (Apples System Updater should have asked you to update. Did it? And you declined?)

What does error message when trying to burn DVD from iDVD mean "not enough disk space to burn the remaining assets"

I created a DVD in idvd and now when trying to burn to DVD using external burner, I get the error message
"not enough disk space to encode the remaining assets". I am using a brand new blank DVD.
I have read the help info on computer but hasnt proved helpful.
Any suggestions?

iDVD requires a fair amount of disk space to carry out the encoding process; depending on your project, you may need to have over 25 GB free space on your startup hard drive. How much free space do you have?

i have the iPad mini. trying to rent a couple of movies.i'm getting a message that I don't have enough room. But i have previously been able to rent 3 movies at one time.

I'm new to the IPhone and it wouldn't occur to me to check how much storage I had before trying to download a movie, especially since I don't have many apps on my phone. I didnt see the purchase in iTunes which is why I was unsure about being charged in the first place. Also, I back up everything on my phone every day to my computer. I have done that with any phone I have so that is not an issue. Clearly you are a major fan of Apple if you would defend its honor so passionately in response to my question. There is no reason to be a jerk about it, though. Your rude manner was not necessary and quite uncalled for.

Are you sure the message isn't about space on your phone, rather than in iCloud.

My ipad told me i have not enough room available. My movie stopped downloading What can I do?

Chances are if you only have 7 GBs left on your iPad. You are not going to get a full season of episodes on it.
Video takes up a lot of storage/memory space.
If you have a computer with iTunes on it, you could try and download the entire season to your computer in iTunes and
either connect your iPad to the computer and sync individual episodes until you reach the limit on your iPad, or , if you have WiFi on both your computer and iPad, use iTunes Home sharing to stream each series episode from your computer's iTunes library to the iPad.

I changed my LCD last day and now i noticed all my pictures on my phone are gone. I tried to restore the back that I got yesterday but it wont let me because its telling me there is not enough space on my phone!!!

I just called the guy who changed my LCD and asked him what happend, he said there were no pictures on your phone when you gave it to me! i know he is lying tho!
My apple warranty is over and I have to pay them to get some help over the phone!
