Not enough memory short dump
I am investigating a performance problem with a SAP standard report. It falls over when trying to sort a table, the table size is [194994x294]. In know this is large but is it common for it to cause a EXSORT_NOT_ENOUGH_MEMORY short dump?
Hi,
Go to my computer and right click on it....
and go to properties.....
then go to advanced tab...
in it go to performance settings...
then go to advanced tab
in that go to virtual memory....in it click on change...
in change click on the radio button 'system managed size'
click on set and save it...
it might help you...
Regards
Debarshi

Photoshop cs6 error "Could not complete command because there is not enough memory (RAM)"
Hi, I have a Macbook Pro and the Adobe Creative Suite 6, and all of my other adobe programs run smoothy with the exception of photoshop. For about the past year and a half now, I will very inconsistency receive the error message, "Could not complete ___ command because there is not enough memory (RAM)." Sometimes this problem gets so bad that I am not even able to open my preferences.
My computer seems as though it should have plenty of space to run photoshop, and I have taken my computer to a number of differed tech supports, but they have only been able to temporarily make the problem less severe for short periods until it acts up again and completely prevents me from using Photoshop. I recently updated to Yosemite and deinstalled/reinstalled photoshop, hoping that would fix things, but I still get the message almost any time I try to complete a command.
Your help would be very much appreciated, thank you!

3.5Mhz? Do they even make processors that slow?
I'm trying to think back through Photoshop versions, but IIRC it became hungry for RAM with CS5, but it might even have been CS4. But certainly from CS5 onwards a 32 bit system was going to be severely compromised with its 3.5Gb RAM limit, of which Photoshop could access only a bit over 2Gb. You might remember the 4Gb switch that let you use a bit more of your 4Gb of installed RAM. That worked OK with XP but was still flakey, and third party plugins used to fall over all the time through lack of RAM — at least Photoshop has a Scratch drive.
So nowadays you can forget trying to use Photoshop on 32bit hardware. You need 64 bit and at least 8Gb RAM. So like I said, the OP needs to look deeper into the 'apparent' over heating issue, and put that other 4Gb back in. I can't even conceive of why a person would cripple their system by removing RAM. _Especially_ when it leaves just 4Gb -

_Especially_ when it leaves just 4Gb -
"Warning! Not Enough Memory!" A bug in Logic 7.1?
Hello,
I seem to have discovered a bug in my Logic 7.1, and would like to see if this is a system specific bug, or a bug in everyones Logic. It seems to occur in the Matrix editor which results in the error ""Warning! Not enough memory! This operation cannot be undone" and follows with the mysterious deletion of random parts, and totally corrupts the file, preventing me from doing any further MIDI edits or even undo the mysterious deleated parts!
Here is how I discovered it. I selected two separate audio instrument tracks (violin and viola) and opened them in the matrix editor. To see both parts at once, I double clicked on the background, resulting in viewing all possible MIDI parts. I then selected from the "show selected regions only" from the view menu to isolate the violin and viola parts. I then copied some notes from the violin part and then double clicked on the viola part and attempted to paste the violin information I copied to the viola part. However, the information would not paste for some reason, so I decided to simply draw in the new notes, and BAM, the error message "Warning! Not enough memory" occurs.
I have been able to replicate this error on my own system on a few occasions, but it doesn't always seem to happen which is strange. I may be able to get around it by making sure I double click and isolate the part I want to copy first, before isolating where I want to copy it to, however I need to test this idea out more often to make sure. In the mean time I have tried "reorganizing memory" in logic, repairing permissions and running all maintenance scripts, Re-installed the OS 10.3.9 update (just incase something didn't install correctly), ran apple "hardware test" in which everything passed, and trashed and rebuild my preferences, and I'm still able to create this error.
I do feel something is wrong here, I was wondering if anyone may be willing to try to duplicate this on their system, just so I can be sure there is a Logic bug, or maybe there is something wrong with my personal setup. (MANY weird things have been happening lately, such as corrupted key commands in my preference files).
Thanks in advance for your help!
-JonThanks for your comments Rohan. The reason this post was relatively clear headed is because I already went through my "freak out" process earlier that week! But thanks for your comments. I did try to make this post as clear as possible, in the hopes that others could potentially get the same "buggy" results. I guess the problem seems to stem from something bigger then how I arrived at it, but from what I've found researching it, the matrix editor does seem to play a consistent part.
Maybe we should send a quick note to apple, asking them to keep an eye out for this bug?
In answer to your specific questions, the size of my file before the error was 468KB, and the file after I saved the error is 544KB. Not a big enough difference to raise flags, as the error file does contain a few more seconds of music, some different parts, etc. The song itself is only 32 bars long @ 103bpm, and the total bars is set to 266. At the current tempo, the song would end at around 7min, much shorter then an hour. For the record, I have done many longer, more memory and CPU intensive pieces and experienced no such problems (except for the need to freeze a few tracks). For example, I recently scored a film that was heavy in Atmosphere, VSL, and Stormdrum, and ran an uncompressed film file and no problem. Now that I think of it, perhaps it could be an EXS problem even? For those who have experienced this error, were you editing a EXS part?
As for the Key commands problem, I will have to do more research and testing once I upgrade my system. I dont mind loosing my current key commands and preferences and starting again. In fact, I think I can do a better job customizing Logic now that I have a better idea of what it can do. However, if this seems to be a consistent problem, then I may not do too much customizing yet
Thanks again for the post Rohan. I hope everything runs soother in Tiger after a clean install. Any quick tips for optimal Tiger setups?

Problem :-- When using the Mixer Brush tool, the photoshop stop responding and showing error.
Error Massage :-- "Could not use the Mixer Brush tool because there is not enough memory(RAM)"If your layers in Photoshop document are fairly complex, then working with them frequently can be little tough keeping in mind that you're using both Photoshop and your OS as 32-bit only. Photoshop will use some portion of the scratch disk as its virtual RAM when it is out of memory using its available memory that you have set for Photoshop in its preferences. The hard drive spaces left in your C drive may fall short depending on the page file size you've set for Windows becasue Photoshop expands an image to its actual resolution when it is opened in Photoshop/placed in Photoshop layer, thus taking up a lot of memory depending on the size and resolution of the image.
Make sure no other programs are running in the background along with Photoshop. If you're working with a dual monitor, try disconnecting one of the monitors and see if that resolves the issue. Keep the history/ clipboard clean. Frequent saves will help in this matter. -
I'm working on a VBAI inspection where the Custom User Interface has a tab control, there are several tabs with various things displayed like real-time waveform charts, miscellaneous indicators and controls, etc. The Inspection Interface runs fine, but when I'm programming in the Configuration Interface it frequently has the error "Not enough memory to complete this operation." and/or "LabVIEW: Memory is full...". See attached screenshots for the complete messages.
When I get this message nothing works anymore and I try to close VBAI and re-open it, which "fixes" the problem for a short while. Sometimes VBAI closes gracefully, sometimes it crashes, sometimes the inspection is corrupted. I'm wondering if there is a problem with a particular tool in the "IVB Configuration Tools Pallette.vi" or if it's a general problem and is there a way for me to work around it other than very frequent saves and frequent re-starts?All 64-bit apps should be installed under C:\Program Files and all 32-bit apps should be installed under C:\Program Files (x86)\. The memory issues with the 32-bit VBAI are expected because Windows only allows 32-bit apps to use ~3GB regardless of how much memory is in the system. The 64-bit apps do not have this limiation and generally are faster than their 32-bit counter parts because of better memory access (so running your inspection on 64-bit applications is generally better. The crash with the decoration is another matter. I wasn't able to reproduce this issue. Is it reproducible for you, or was it just a one time occurence? If it happens regularaly, could you send your Custom UI to me (you can Export your custom UI to save it as a VI outside of VBAI).
Hope this helps,
Brad -
"Not Enough Memory to Complete this Operation" Error using notifiers in LabVIEW
I get the (windows?) error message "Not Enough Memory to Complete this Operation" when using notifiers to send a flattened byte string as a response from one VI back to my calling VI. I do get my data and everything works out perfectly between the two VIs, but I do get this annoying error message that requires a user interface action. Why?
Well, I'm thinking you may have stumbled across a LV issue. I can get it to crash a lot faster than that when I clear your plot history in the top chart. It definitely seems as though LV has a huge memory leak on charts having their history cleared. With your 500,000 data point history, I lose about 170MB of memory every time I clear the chart history.
When I run your VI, the first time you plot data, I see a 170MB jump in memory, which I am assuming is the chart allocating its chart buffer. But, then I continue to see more memory being used as more data is collected (if you don't use your default 1 sample a sec rate, you can see this happen much faster - I am using 5k sample rate and 5k samples). Eventually, even without clearing the chart history, this will cause the system to crash.
I did a quick test and dumped the waveform and just used doubles and plotted that. Memory usage is drastically better, as I see no memory leak during standard acquisition (I still see the memory leak when the chart is cleared however).
You may have to rewrite to not use the waveform and signal for your chart and just use DBLs. -
I hav an 8gb iPod iPod touch 4 and according to settings I've got 2.6gb of memory left. However I've tried to download apps which are way smaller than that but it keeps popping up saying not enough memory! Plz explain wats goin on
Top download and install apps you need space available on the iPod equal to about three time the file download size. If you download more than one app at a time you need about three times the total file download size available so it is better if short on storage to purchase one at a time.

Iphone 4 will not sync. not enough memory.
I am trying to sync my Iphone 4 with Itunes.
I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I have a dell XPS 8100 with 12GB memory and Intel Core i5 CPU.
My IPhone 4 is running software version 4.2.1. Itunes latest version 10.2.2 64 bit.
I keep on getting message "The IPhone "XXX" cannot be synced. There is not enough memory available."
I tried a complete uninstall of all Apple software per support instructions. I even took computer and IPhone to Apple Store. Tecs could not help. All he said is that he had seen a similar problem for Windows 7 64 bit. What am I supposed to do?
I am very frustrated. I spent all this money on the Iphone and now I cannot add music or update the phone. I am considering dumping Iphone for droid phone when contract is up.I have rebooted several times.
I should also add that I have tried running syncing from a different user account on my PC. -
After years of playing Snood, w/o problems, I started getting this error message, on my iMac, OS 10.5.8,
with 4 GB of memory when opening Snood: Not enough memory {Error # :: 0, in sound.cp@line 101
My MacBook Pro w. Mac OS 10.6.8 did not have this problem.
Initially I thought that Snood raised its minimum requirement to Mac OS 10.6.
I had several correspondences with Snood. Their tech support is great. Quick and thorough responses.
They thought the issue was in Mac's system preferences/ Sound. It was.
I didn't realize that my sound input and output devices were gone.
The fix was resetting the PRAM. I found this advice on MacFixIt.com.
MacFixIt help with volume: http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-10415659-263.html
Resetting the PRAM is on Apple support: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
My sound (music!) is back, along with Snood. So glad I reset the PRAM before reinstalling the OS software!
Thank you to Snood, MacFixIt and Apple.
Happy new year all!Good work, nice post/tip, thanks!

Help Needed REP-1800 Formatter error VGS-1701 Not enough memory
Hi. Gents
Help needed
I’m working on a Report, it gets some 2 million records and the report pages are approximately 52,000
It works fine if the pages are lesser then 48,000 or the data is less let say one and half a million, the problem occurs only after 48000 + pages formatted.
Report is generated successfully when trying to go to the last page it throw an error.
REP-1800 Formatter error
VGS-1701 Not enough memory
I have already gone through the metalink DOC Id 95505.1 as well as OTN
But all in vain,
Any comments or help much appreciated.
Details are:
Reports 6i (Clients/Server) on Windows platform
(Windows XP Professional with SP 2)
Database: Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.5.0
Computer:
Pentium(R) 4, CPU 3.00GHz, 1 GB of RAM
Still 20 GB free space
Thanks & RegardsI don't see the point in making a report with more than 48,000 pages, I think Al Gore will not be happy when you start printing it...
The problem might be caused by the fact that Reports needs to format all output at once, and then even 1GB of memory will probably be not enough. Formatting all pages at once is needed if you use pagination with displaying total number of pages. If you have this, try to get that out of the report definition and try again. -
Memory full. Not enough memory for operation.
To the Report Design Team,
It has been suggested that I post this issue here based on another thread I started: Re: Memory full. Not enough memory for operation.
The template contains a single 24 bit PNG image as a background in the Page Header section, plus 9 image records from a SQL Server image field over 3 pages (3 images per page). The images are all JPG at 3000x2000 (digital camera).
To summarize, we are experiencing three problems.
1. CR2008SP2 Designer issues a Memory Full error when Exporting to PDF.
2. Using a 3rd party PDF Printer (Bullzip PDF) and CR2008SP2 Designer generates a PDF, however, the CR2008SP2 API throws a "Memory full" exception suggesting Designer and API are different (see stack trace in linked message above).
3. With only 3 images on 1 page, CR2008 Designer Export to PDF takes 110 seconds to generate a 24MB PDF while our third party PDF Printer generates the same report in 17 seconds and 580KB.
Edited by: Don Williams on Sep 30, 2009 6:43 AMThe .rpt file size is 14MB with the Data Save option enabled, 12MB without Data Save. Presumably the 12MB file size is because of the 24bit PNG we have as our background.
The Designer executes the report in less than a second and we can scroll through all pages and see the image fields perfectly.
When we Export to PDF, the Designer takes a long time, eventually gets to the 77%, the 7th record and returns "Export report failed" followed by "Memory full". If we export only page 1 of the 3 pages, it also returns a Memory full error. However, when the same report is run with only 1 page, that page exports to PDF but with a ridiculously large size and export time.
The machine has 2GB of physical memory with an 8GB pagefile with Windows 2003 (latest everything). The process runs up to about 1GB before reporting the memory full error.
We've also tried a variety of other suggestions posted in the other thread with no success.
We're happy to provide the RPT file to the Report Team to diagnose the problem. Ultimately, we need to be able to produce a 15 page report with approximately 45 images.
Our preferred scenario is fixing problem 2. The CR Designer seems quite capable of rendering our report and printing it to our third party PDF printer in a timely manner with small size. However, the API reports memory full.
The API resides in a dedicated reporting web service with NO other code except for loading the report, setting parameters and printing. When executing, it uses up to about 1.1GB before reporting the error.
Are there any other suggestions for fixing what we have? Are there known problems with large images in reports? Do we need to lodge a formal support request?
Regards, Grant.
PS. Grr and my message formatting is lost when I edited this message!!!
There is a 1500 character limit and then all formatting is removed to save space. Break you posts into separate entries.

How can I get all photos from iPhoto to automatically back up to iCloud from my Mac OSX Version 10.6.8 operating system. Not enough memory to upgrade.
You can't. iCloud is not for general file backup from a Mac. It's for backup up and syncing data between mobile devices and and Macs and The following is from this Apple document: iCloud: Backup and restore overview.
iCloud automatically backs up the most important data on your (mobile) device using iOS 5 or later. Once you have enabled Backup on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch .....
What is backed up
You get unlimited free storage for:
Purchased music, movies, TV shows, apps, and books
Notes: Backup of purchased music is not available in all countries. Backups of purchased movies and TV shows are U.S. only. Previous purchases may not be restored if they are no longer in the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBookstore.
Some previously purchased movies may not be available in iTunes in the Cloud. These movies will indicate that they are not available in iTunes in the Cloud on their product details page in the iTunes Store. Previous purchases may be unavailable if they have been refunded or are no longer available in the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBookstore.
You get 5 GB of free iCloud storage for:
Photos and videos in the Camera Roll
Device settings (for example: Phone Favorites, Wallpaper, and Mail, Contacts, Calendar accounts)
App data
Home screen and app organization
Messages (iMessage, SMS, and MMS)
Ringtones
Visual Voicemails
But not from a Mac. If you want to backup your photos and other important files I suggest you get an external hard drive and use it with Time Machine.

SBS 2011 Remote Web Workplace issues not enough memory???
Hi,
Were having problems with the RWW website on our SBS 2011 server, users are able to logon, but the connect buttons of the computers are not working, if we click on them nothing happes, no error message, nothing.
When a users logs on we see 5 error messages in the application log of the SBS server, 4 times event 3 appears and 1 time event 1309, all messages say there is not enough memory available (less then 5%). When we close some applications/services and the memory
usage is below 95% the RWW websites works fine and the connect buttons function properly.
This server has 16GB of RAM, beside the standard SBS 2011 installation we installed only anti-virus and back-up software on this server.
We have several other customers that are running SBS 2011 servers, they have less internal memory and sometimes just 98% of free memory, but their RWW websites function without any problems and don't get these error messages.
Can someone tell me how to resolve this problem?
This are the complete error messages:
