Not enough VRAM to run Flash 11.  What do I do?

I recently upgraded my imac 5,2 by adding RAM so I could download snowleopard 10.6.8, update itunes, etc for my new ipad and ipod.  After the numerous upgrades in sofware to safari Version 5.1.2 (6534.52.7)  I am now having issues with flash and now realize that upon this upgrade the new adobe flash 11 will not work since this imac only has 64mb of vram.  It is not upgradeable to the required 128mb so even though I download and install the new flash 11 it does still is not recognized in safari.
Hardware Overview:
  Model Name:          iMac
  Model Identifier:          iMac5,2
Processor Name:          Intel Core 2 Duo
  Processor Speed:          1.83 GHz
  Number Of Processors:          1
  Total Number Of Cores:          2
  L2 Cache:          2 MB
  Memory:          2 GB
Long story longer I did all the maintenance suggestions of disable plugins and change the network DNS, clearing cache, history, ensuring java is enabling.  Pretty much every except clearing my head.  Can I install older versions of flash?  The files have 5-10 folders with numerous variations and I'm n ot sure which one I should be using.  HEEEEELLLLLPPPP!  Please don't make me return my ipod and ipad!

Here are the old versions of Flash Player. Maybe you could email their support and ask your question and they could tell you which is the latest one that works with your 64MB video card. Or maybe you can't really ask it that way, but hopefully they can still help.

The Apple-firmware 5770, about US$250, works in all models of Mac Pro. Drivers are in 10.6.5 and later.
It provides faster, more stable support, and more firmware than the card that came in your Mac Pro 65 lb tower.

  • After Effects give "not enough vram" error with GTX690

I have a Mac Pro with 2 GTX 690's. Both have 4 Gigs of memory. To be more precise each card has 2 processors so each processor only uses 2 GB. When I open AE I get a "not enough VRAM" error so I can't run ray-tracing. 2 GB should be plenty of VRAM, so I don't get why it would say that. When I go to GPU information in the Previews preference window, I have enable unsupported GPU checked, but "GPU" is still greyed out. In the OpenGL section, it reads that I have 2 GB of vram. What gives? How come After Effects isn't seeing the VRAM for CUDA? Very very frustrating. The cards work fine in Premiere and EVERY OTHER APPLICATION that works using CUDA. After Effects is the only one that freaks out. Need a fix for this.

Hum, that seems weird. I mean, I CUDA is sooooo very much faster than regular CPU rendering that C4D does. The ideal situation would be to have the Cineware plugin actually be able to use any of renderers in C4D, not just the standard. Then I could select my Octane renderer and have screaming fast 3D live in AE.

Photoshop can only see what your video card driver reports.
You might want to update your video card driver from the GPU maker's website.

I get message:"Can't save library file.  Not enough access privileges" .Don't understand what this means. No visible effect that I can see now.

Classic example of why you should save your workm in progress...just hit Ctrl+s to do it on the fly.
Yes I know. But it is the first time I work with Photoshop on such a big project and I thought it would be more stable.. Do the newer versions manage the memory better ?
You can shrink your image down which will make it smaller enough to save
Not enough memory to resize the image. And in the manipulation, it would corrupt some of my layers..
you can try to save as a diffeent format
I could succesfully save in Bitmap format. But I lose all my layers info..
The making loads of screen shots would be good if it wasnt really an
option seeing as it would use even more memory to do that then put the
image together out of the screen shots.
I made screen shots without any problem. I saved them through MS Paint without any memory problem, while Photoshop in parallel was just used as a static image for snapping...

  • Not enough memory to run Microsoft Excel. Please close other applications and try again.

    Hi All,
I have windows 7 SP1 64 bit machine with 8 GB of RAM. and have office 365 pro plus installed on it. I use windows explorer preview pane a lot and suddenly it has stopped working. Whenever I click on any excel, power-point, word file with the preview pane
enabled it gives me the error as below:
for Excel: Not enough memory to run Microsoft Excel. Please close other applications and try again.
For Power point: there is not enough memory or system resources to start power point.
However the file opens fine when I double click it. I have tried the following"
    1. Repaired, re-installed office 365 pro plus.
    2. Disabled, enabled and changed virtual memory page file size. It did not make any difference.
    3. Have verified folder and search options and they are fine for the preview pane.
Is there anything we can do about it?

Since we were unable to reproduce in my test machine, we were unable to determine the root cause of the problem.  This seems to be happening when Windows is trying instantiate the Office application for the preview in the Preview pane, if the repair
Office still doesn't work, we might turn our mind onto Windows OS level.
    Here is my suggestion:
    1. Disable all of security programs or Anti-virus on that machine.
    2. Disable DEP.
    3. If you installed any video or graphic codec programs, please temporary to remove them to check the result.
    Feel free to post back.

  • ITunes - not enough memory to run this program [Solution]

After upgrading to iTunes 7, if you install UNO - Unified GUI and use any option apart from 'Default Aqua' under the iTunes GUI choice you will get this error.
Note this does not make a difference if you have already modded the itunes GUI using UNO and upgrade, only if you run UNO after installing iTunes 7.

Solution: re run UNO revert to default Aqua for iTunes, and reinstall iTunes.

    Hi All,

The code line is as below :
              Runtime runtime = Runtime.getRuntime();
              Process process = runtime.exec("gzip -f -9 " +fileName);
I got the following error :

I even tried to use the actual path of gzip in the code :
              Runtime runtime = Runtime.getRuntime();
              Process process = runtime.exec("/usr/bin/gzip -f -9 "
              +fileName);
But still I got the same error.
Can anyone tell me what I am missing out.....
              Thanks.

We just ran into this problem yesterday. For us, it seemed to be a disk
space problem. If you run "df -k" you'll see how full your file systems
are. We cleared out some of the /var/log (capacity was 80%) files reducing
capacity to 50% and the problem went away, for now.

  • Not enough VRAM

So here is the issue, I am trying to install compressor 3. So I can use the Xserve in a cluster with Qmaster. When I attempt to install compressor on the Xserve it throws me an error saying I don't have enough VRAM. Is it a 64bit processor?
Do you have a SLES 9 installation CD handy? If so, try booting from it to
see if you get the same error.

  • "not enough storage, go to settings". What am I doing wrong?

I use an IPad and an IPod touch. I had the message that "not enough storage" was left for me to download new music I've bought. I then purchased the iCloud twelve pound yearly storage plan. However I am still getting the message "not enough storage .... Go to settings". I decided to purchase the next plan, ( twenty eight pounds a year) but still get the same message. I can't download new apps either. What am I doing wrong? I certainly don't have anywhere near that amount if music/photos.
Hope you can help. Thank you, Janice

I just downloaded mountain lion and it told me that I have to pick a disk to put it on. There is not enough space on Mac HD because apparently time machine backs up on there. What do I do? Can I back that up somewhere else?

HOw much avaiable space do you have on that volume?
Do you have a partition for TM, or are these local snapshots (is it a MacBook or MacBook pro)?
Either way you'll need to free up space by moving data off the drive.

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

  • Not enough memory to run iTunes???!!!

I just ran the Software Update to get iTunes 7 and the latest version of Quicktime. I restarted after the instalation and was able to open iTunes and it ran famously. I really enjoy the changes. I decided that with the new artwork features I should clean up my library and add to the artwork I already had so I got a few more album covers and also got rid of some duplicates I had lingering in my library. After I did that for a little while I quit iTunes to go do other things but when I came back to my computer to listen to some music I got the following mesasge: "The iTunes application could not be opened. There is not enough memory available." I highly doubt that this could be because I have 768 MB RAM installed on my computer. I tried restarting and that didn't work. I even tried quitting all applications and closed every widget in Dashboard, yet I still got the same message. I am clueless, please help.

758mb should be enough to run Tiger, but I try to not let my computer get down below about a gig of memory. If I do I get a similar message and programs start to become too taxing on the computer.
I think by updating your album art you may have pushed it...I'd try deleting some files, free up some space, and see where it takes you.

  • When i sync my iphone it says that there is not enough room in my itunes library what do I do?

When I try to sync my iPhone with iTunes, it says that there is not enough room in my itunes library for my phone to sync. Why is this? Do I need to delete stuff off my library? Or is my laptop too full? Or is it that my phone hasn't got enough space? ...Or something else?

Why is this so difficult to figure out?
The message is quite clear.  The size of the iTunes library is larger than the space available on the device.
Stop attempting to sync the entire library to the device.
Select the desired content to sync to the device.
    Sync.
