Not every photo in album gets transferred to iPhone when I sync

When I sync the photos from iPhoto onto my iPhone through iTunes, not every photo in the albums are there. Let's say I have a photo library of 500 pictures. They are all distributed into different albums. iPhoto says I have 500 photos total, but after syncing every photo, my iPhone says I have 495. I'm missing five photos. I find which five they are, put them into an album by themselves, and the album shows up in iTunes, but says there are not photos in it. Why can't these photos be read by iTunes and synced to the phone? Some are from the same camera roll that other photos came from, some taken just seconds after others. Is this a known bug or is their something wrong with my photos?

Try converting one of the photos that you are having problems with to another format.
Add the photo back to the album and see if the issue still persists.
you can convert the photo by exporting as a different file format and adding it back into the itunes library.
Hope this helps.

In the same way the photos were transferred from your Mac - via the iTunes sync process.
If you use iPhoto, deselect the Events or Albums you want removed from your iPhone under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync, etc.

  • I get an error message when I sync my iPhone 5 with itunes on a Windows 7 laptop. When I go back to my music there are exclamation marks next to many songs. I have reinstalled iTunes

I get an error message when I sync my iPhone 5 with iTunes on my Windows 7 Samsung laptop.  I recently backed up all of my data using Samsung Recovery Solution 5 to an external hard drive so that I could restore my laptop.  I put all of my data back on the restored laptop and reinstalled iTunes. After the error message that says that certain items could not be found and the "sync" is finished I go back to my music in iTunes and there are exclamation marks next to many songs.  I follow some instructions regarding the Edit - Preferences - Advanced settings and the exclamation marks go away until I try to sync my phone again.  Then I get the same error message and the exclamation marks return.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and the same thing happens again.  I am about to schedule an appointment with the Genius Bar but would like to avoid that if possible.  Thank you in advance for any help.

    Hello Courtney,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing when syncing your music to your iPhone.  It sounds like iTunes is not able to locate the original file for the song to transfer it to your device.  I recommend reviewing the following articles to locate you music files on your computer:

  • HT1349 How do I set up a separate icloud account? Both my wife and I have an iPhone 4s and an iPad, but only one Mac. We are tired of our "stuff" getting mixed up together when we sync.

How do I set up a separate icloud account? Both my wife and I have an iPhone 4s and an iPad (1 and 3), but only one Mac. We are tired of our "stuff" getting mixed up together when we sync. Thanks much

You don't need separate iCloud accounts if you want to simply sync unique content to each device using iTunes. I have three iDevices using one ID and one iTunes library and each device has it's own content on it. You need to set up the sync configuration for each device. This is what I recommend.
First turn off auto sync in iTunes. Launch iTunes on the Mac and go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices>Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from automatically syncing. Click OK and then quit iTunes.
Connect one of your devices to the Mac and launch iTunes.
Click on the device name on the left side under the devices heading.
Click on a tab in iTunes - Apps for instance.
Click on the Apps that you want to sync to that device.
Make sure that the Sync Apps heading is checked.
Follow the same procedure for all of the other tabs in iTunes ..... Music, Photos, Movies and so on.
After you have finished making all of your selections, click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes.
When you are done, eject the first device and do the same thing with the other device. iTunes will now remember the sync configuration on each device.
You can change that configuration any time that you like by following the steps outlined above.
If you want to continue to auto sync, turn it back on in the iTunes preferences as described above.

  • My iphone was hit by a car, however the back is totally intact as well as the sim card. Is there a way for me to back up my phone to my computer/icloud, so when I get my new iPhone, I can sync all of my old data to it?

Need help with my broken iPhone4s. It was hit by a car, and I need to know how to back up my data to my computer/iCloud so when I get my new iPhone I can sync it to there and still have all my old data, such as contacts, photos, apps, etc.

If you had iCloud backup turned on, and it made a backup - yes.  If you didn't have iCloud backup turned on - but were using iCloud for Contacts, calendars, etc.  You will get the contacts and calendars, etc back.
Purchases made with your appleID can be redownloaded as long as they are still available in the iTunes store.
If you connected your phone to a computer with iTunes, there may be a backup on there as well.

Can I get audio through iPhone when using apple tv?

What do you mean exactly? Are you wanting to output the audio to your iPhone while say watching a video on your Apple TV?  If so, I'm afraid it's not possible.  However, you should post this in the Apple TV forums for a better confirmation on then.  There are some prettty knowledgable people who hang out there.

Check the music tab on the iPhones iTunes page, and make sure "sync all music" is checked. If you chose only to sync certain music, new music will not automatically show up.

  • Why photos already uploaded to Ipad are erased when I sync other photos using Itunes ?

Why previous photos uploaded to Ipad (retina) are erased when I sync it through Itunes to upload additional photos ?

To keep the photos previously loaded when you previously synced you have to continue to select them when syncing additional photos. If you don't they will be deleted.
