Not fade away

trying to follow four or five video tutorials on how to make an image fade. I think what's preventing me from getting this basic
operation to work is that my menu structures in CS4 dont quite seem to match what the tutorials show. I cant find the menu for "color effect" and thus cant find
"style alpha"
I can find (most of the time) a menu for "color" but though it has an "alpha" on it it doesnt seem to effect the picture in the same way as the tutorials.
I'm working in CS4
For what It's worth, I've been programming in C,VB, VBA, and PHP for many years, have worked lots in Frontpage and Dreamweaver and Photoshop; is it just me or is the menu structure in Flash a bit odd ?

As far as I know, you can only apply "alpha" to a movie clip.
So convert your image into a movie clip, and down in the Properties Panel, Color.... then alpha will be one of the choices.
It will make the image more or less transparent, from 0 to 100%.

go to project > preferences, and make sure you're not
instructing the last slide to fade out.
you may also want to verify the last slide itself is not set
to fade as well (right-click slide and choose 'properties).

Don, if you rent on atv you can only access it on atv.

Games are not turning on . I click on a he icon but screen slightly fades away and comes back to same spot.

Continuation, when screen fades away it feels as if it wants to start a game but then it just goes back to the original screen . I thought that was a wifi issue but now I am connected to wifi and it still does the same thing.

Is it every game or just some of them? It's entirely possible that hte game isn't compliant with iOS5. And if that's the case it's up to the developer to update their software for the new OS.

Ipad mini screen fades away each time i power it on

My ipad mini first gen keeps turning off but not like a normal unexpected power off instead the screen fades away and to get to turn back on i have to hold powet button and home. i tried a software restore but no luck, i think its a battery problem.

I'm not a hardware expert and I don't think anyone here is either. However, if it was the battery, I think that you would see other signs of battery problems such as inconsistent charging, the device not holding a charge, and things like that. Maybe it's a short, but I would have no way of knowing that either. Why don't you contact iPad repair support and explain it to them.

If this was my iPad, I would make an appointment at an Apple Store and ask them to take a look at the iPad. It is much easier to book a Genius Bar appointment if you use the Apple Store app.

Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.

Network card fades away

I installed Arch on Pentium 2 machine, which already has running LXbuntu 9.04 (working very well).
The problem I have is that in fully-updated Arch, the network connections seems to fade-away after few minutes since boot.
Pings and transfers work, then they drop to 0 even though WiFi (atheros-based) is still connected.
No other symptoms, except one time I got out of X and into the console, and saw something like "unable to warm-reset WIFI chip" or something similar.

If you go to the Apple menu and select "About this Mac," then select "more info" you will find information about your hardware. Look under Network/airport card. That will also tell you what is installed without opening the cover to your mac.

However, the most likely reason is your self-repair of a device that is only factory repairable broke something. Note that Apple does not sell replacement parts, so whatever parts you used were not made by Apple's supplier and are of questionable quality.

Why does my email auto pull-down list keep fading out after one second (I can put my mouse on it and it comes back, so it is there, just again fades away after 1 second)?

When I go to send an email, many of may emails are saved so when I type in the first letter, a list appears in the auto pull down. However, when I go to click on the address I want, it immediately fades out. I will put my cursor on it and I will see the list again, but only for one second, then it fades away again.
So I have to guess which order they are in and click and hope it's the right one, ha!
I like the option, it just isn't working right for some reason.

That would indicate an issue with the local network, not internet. This can impact devices differently and will likely be more obvious on a streaming only device.
If you are on wifi try ethernet
Make sure DNS is set to auto (settings - general - network)
Go to istumbler, netstumbler or similar to get a report of the network, look for signal strength and noise.

My ipod keeps "turning on" the apple will show up, fade away, and then repeat. It has been doing this for hours.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My Wifi works at home but not when away from home, what is wrong? I thought with a phone plan I didn't need to have a wifi connection.

You either need WiFi or Cellular (or both). If you have neither, you can't connect to the internet.
Most people use WiFi at home and Cellular while away from home, or connect to public WiFi networks where there are some.

I have a box that will not go away, it says, "To open JavaApplication, you need to install a Java SE 6 runtime. Would you like to check for and install one? If i push not now, it keeps popping up, if I push install, it says it's not available, help.

I have a dialogue box that will not go away and it seems to have started when I upgraded to Mt. Lion. the box says, "To open JavaApplication, you need to install a Java 6 SE runtime. Finally there are two boxes to click. One says not now. If I click on that the box goes away for 2 to 3 seconds and then pops back up and WILL NOT go away. If I click on the second box, Install, it says The software is currently unavailable. To install a Java SE 6 runtime later, open Java Application again.
My confusion here is that I have no idea what the java application is, When I click "okay" on that box, the original box pops us again and WILL NOT go away. CGoing to the apple lega web site was no help. My solution so far has been to drag the dialogue box as far to the lower right and out of the way as far as I can. Help.

Does this happen immediately after you log in? If so, one of your login items is probably causing it.

I am Orlando, owner of a Nokia c6-00 phone. Recently I updated my phone to v 41.
and after that a strange issue has occoured. My phone screen fades away when i open or close this sider. I tried googling up this issue. But I guess I am the first one having this issue. I have already tried RESET FACTORY SETTINGS, and reinstalling the upgrade. But of no use.
I have no idea whether it is an hardware issue or a software one.
So, Guys please help me with this issue.

Probably no alternative but to backup essential data then "hard reset" by keying in *#7370# followed by 12345 (default Nokia lock code unless altered by user) to exclude any software corruption; although it seems a strange co-incidence there maybe issues with screen flex cable or it's connectors.
