Not Feeling Citi AT ALL!

I have a 9 month old Citi Diamond Preferred with a $1k limit that sticks out in my portfolio like a sore thumb. Each time I have requested a cli, they have denied me. Are you kidding me? I agree with wacdenny. What makes them think they are so freakin special?. I have over $200k in credit with 95% of my cards being $10k+. I don't have any desire to hang on to Citi. Can anyone think of a reason why I should keep them?

baller4life wrote:
Thx Tortoise for your experience. I just wasn't confident that Citi was a lender I needed to hang on to and be patient with or what. They are just so different than any of my other lenders.
I often wonder in situations like yours (where they don't like you much from the start, no offense) or like mine where I ticked them off years ago if it's a better approach to hang on to the card to keep the 'relationship', or if it'd be better to end it and start fresh in the future when they may like you better. You know? So I could see saying 'We need to take a break'. Maybe closing it and then later if Citi offers something you want, try again. Yeah, I could see that.  You'r comment after the one quoted is what made me think of it because I never get offers from Citi like I see others get. (Just like I never get auto CLI's from Chase on my Freedom who also CLD'd me back then).  Kind of like I've heard people (you I think) say about not applying to PenFed (I think...could have been NAvy or the like) until X because while they may let you in the door, they'll keep you in a bucket. You're not in the same bucket I was with Citi because you got some kind of DP offer, but you're also in some kind of bucket.

  • Laptop not turning on at all! Charger adapter is working fine....what's wrong?

    PLEASE HELP!
    My HP Envy 17 laptop is not turning on at all. It's been 1 month since this problem and within that month I've tried doing the following:
    I checked the AC adapter by plugging it on my PC (HP brand) and my adapter seems to be working well.
    I have tried the hard reset (hold power and beats buttons for 8 to 10 seconds) MULTIPLE TIMES and still not working.
    When I plug the AC adapter and attempt to switch the laptop back on, there is no wifi light, no power light, no light to indicate the device is charging. There is also no fan sound (or whatever it is I've seen some people say they hear when they try to reset). There is absolutely no sign of life! And I'm worried.
    I have not attempted to remove the non-removable battery as I hear it voids the warrant. (although seeing as I bought it on ebay brand new, I don't think it came with a warranty...not sure).
    What are my options? and what could possibly be causing this problem?
    PLEASE HELP!!

    Hi Jemini3,
    I'll be honest I am not sure how easy a fix that is. In the Maintenance and Service guide on page 73 it will show you how to remove the power connecter. However, you do have to remove the battery, subwoofer, hard drive and top cover. All the directions are included on how to do that, so if you are up for DIY project all the information is there. The part number for the piece is 665907-001.
    You can always try a local technician or can call HP Total Care at 1-800-474-6836 in North America or visit this link if you are outside North America, there would be a charge as it sounds as if you are out of warranty.

  • N97 does not power on at all - only blue light sho...

    Hi all,
    purchased a used N97 the other day, which according to the seller had sustained a virus when opening an email. He told me it wouldn't power on, I was hoping it could be solved with hard reset and took the plunge, but unfortunately no luck.
    Symptoms:
    * When the charger is connected, the blue light on the upper right corner of the phone lights up
    * When I push the power on button, the blue light on the upper right corner of the phone lights up
    * When I try to hard reset..... take a wild guess.... aye, the blue light on the upper right corner of the phone lights up
    Now I'm not sure whether the guy spoke the truth about the virus, he might as well have been attempting to flash the firmware or whatsoever. My question is if anybody recognises the phenomenon, and if there's a cure or possible suggestion of how to problem solve this error?
    Cheers
    //Joris

    You're probably right that it's a fake - had a closer look last night and saw that for one the LCD isn't the size it's supposed to be either:
    Measured diagonally the screen is 2.95", not 3.5". It's apparently a clone, although I haven't managed to find anything resembling it on eBay or google - the known clones only have 2Gb, this one does have 32Gb according to lettering on the mechanism under the front lid when it slides open. Might add that it feels sturdy and all, so it's at least a half-decent clone (albeit broken )
    Trying to get my money back but seller insists it's original. Luckily I didn't pay a lot for it and it seems I can at least use the battery in my current E90. Let's hope that's a good quality fake battery at least
    Thanks for the reply and feedback!

  • IPod Not being recognized with all the software updates

    I've been without my iPod for a few weeks now and I desperately want it back. I dropped it a while back, and have come online to look up stuff to restore it, but none of that is working for me. I reset it by pressing "menu" and "Play" at the same time, then put it into disk mode by pressing the "ff" and "rwd" buttons together, but even in disk mode my computer is not recognizing it at all. The iPod screen says that it is in disk mode, and says it's okay to disconnect, but its not giving me the option to restore when I connect it to my computer and open the iPod updater.
    It also gives me the file folder w/ an exclamation point whenever i don't put it into disk mode. And the few times that my computer does pick up something the iPod updater flashes a message that says "Can't Mount iPod" and then the updater manually closes itself. Anyone know what to do?
    Thanks
    20GB with Dock Connector   Windows XP

    For "Cant mount iPod" - please try the following first
    Click on Start=>Control Panel=>Admin Tools=>Computer Management=>Disk Management
    -- Right-Click on the iPod and select “change drive letter”
    -- Choose something further along in the alphabet that is unused (Usually, “M”, “N”, “O” or something similar)
    -- Safely eject the iPod
    -- Reboot the PC
    If still cant solve it then
    The Sad iPods icon, clicking sound or folder with an exclamation mark are the toughest problems to deal with, and must do a Restore in order to fix it. However, when your iPod is showing this icon, it is probably too late for your computer to recognize the iPod.
    1. Try these five steps (known as the five Rs) and it would conquer most iPod issues.
    http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/
    2. Try to put the iPod into Disk Mode if it fails to appear on the desktop
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93651
    Still can't see your iPod?
    Several things could keep iPod from appearing in iTunes or in the Desktop/Finder when you connect it to your PC/Mac. The most likely causes are listed below in logical order. Check from the top of the list to see if that is what's keeping iPod from appearing.
    3. Try to wait 30 minutes while iPod is charging.
    4. Try another known-good FireWire or USB through Dock Connector cable.
    5. Try another known-good FireWire or USB port on your computer .
    6. Try to disconnect all devices from your computer's FireWire and USB ports.
    7. Windows users having trouble with their iPods should locate a Mac user. We've found that in many cases when an iPod won't show up on a PC that it will show up on the Mac. Then it can be restored. When the PC user returns to his computer the iPod will be recognized by the PC, reformatted for the PC, and usable again. By the way, it works in reverse too. A Mac user often can get his iPod back by connecting it to a PC and restoring it.
    There are also some cases being reported that some unrecognized iPod being able to be erased with Linux, then reconnect the iPod with the original computer and do a Restore there.
    8. Try to do an Erase (Disk Utility) on a Mac computer or a format with a PC (Disk Management tool) but ensure you choose the right Drive (your iPod not your Hard Disk of your computer). You may need to plug and unplug your iPod with the computer for several attempts, and switching around Format and Restore, and hope out of sudden, it will get recognized.
    9. Diagnostic mode solution – which I copied from a thread of a post from thinktwice
    “Then I cam across this special Diganostics Mode that you can get to by resetting and then while the Apple is showing pressing the Select and backwards keys simultaneously. It bring up and weird Diagnostic utility witha a abunch of tests. Here is what I did
    - I tried the 5in1 test and got and error on Firewire.
    - I did the HDD R/W and surprisingly it passed.
    - I went on to the HDD scan. This supposedly tkaes acouple of minute so I waited. I think 4-5 dots appeared then nothing. The iPod started to get hot. THe disk was spinning away. After a while the battery got very low. THis test chews up the battery. So I escaped out by resetting and went to connect it to a power source.
    My USB was dangling out of my computer and I was too lazy to get the Firewire AC adapter thing going so I connected expecting the whole lockup thing with iTunes. Surprise. IT was recognized immediately and has been working like a champ. So go figure.
    Details on Diag mode can be found at http://www.methodshop.com/mp3/ipodsupport/diagnosticmode/index.shtml
    10. Let me ask you a question, if an iPod with no iPod software with it. When your connect it with a computer, what would happen?
    Yeah, the computer will treat it as a fresh external hard disk, which will get force mounted, the computer will ask you to format the iPod. It does not really matter the format is completed or not, the key is to erase (or partly) the corrupted iPod software on the iPod, after that the computer will recognize it.
    Once it has been completed, eject your iPod, open the iPod updater and interestingly, you will able to do the Restore this time.
    Base on the above, that's why I suggest Windows users who experience trouble with their iPods should locate a Mac machine or vice versa. PC computer will not recognize a Mac formatted iPod, but it will get mounted in an attempt to format your iPod.
    11. Put your iPod in disk mode and plug with a computer, and have a boot of your computer using the Mac OS or XP startup disks, hope that your iPod will be seen on Mac's Disk utility and allow you to do a Erase there. Or, under the XP, you will be able to find your iPod there for you to do a Restore.
    But, if none of these steps address the issue, your iPod may need to be repaired. You can arrange for service at the iPod Service Website.
    I have just read an interesting solution about the Sad iPod, it does make sense but the warranty will be waived once you open the iPod, I would not do it myself as I am not good on doing this

  • Insufficient Disk Space: What do I do? I do not want to delete all of my projects. If I delete them and then empty the trash it will free up some space but I have deleted way more than I am tryig to import.

    I keep getting a message when I try to import pics. Insufficient disk space. What do I do? I do not want to delete all of my pics!

    Easiest thing to do would be to buy an external hard drive and move your Aperture library to that drive.

  • HT4759 change do not show up on all my divices like contacts

    change do not show up on all my divices like contacts

    Are you saying that changes to your contacts are not syncing to your other devices?  If so, you need to make sure that the contacts you are changing belong to the iCloud account.  To do this, open the contacts app on your device and tap Groups.  Do you have any non-iCloud accounts listed, such as On My iPhone, Gmail, Yahoo or an exchange account?
    Also go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Contacts section).  Do you have the Default Account setting there, and if so, what is selected as your default account.

  • Why is my website not showing up AT ALL in Google?

    I uploaded my website at the beginning of this week and it's working OK, but not showing up at all in Google.  It is not so much an SEO question, because even if I google the exact website, it still doesn't show.
    I have no idea what I did wrong, but I assume it's a meta data issue.  What should I have filled out in the HTML for <head> box?  It's blank now.
    Thanks!!!

    You didn't do anything wrong most likely. It takes time to get indexed. Could be months depending on how your site is optimized, your content and traffic you generate to it.

    Well, it seems to be a bug in the handling of the XML file
    contents. I fixed it by changing the code in SpryData.js to force a
    "manual" parse of the XML code. Not a good solution, but I don't
    know the codebase well enough to find the root of the problem. I
    know that the firstChild.nodeValue is "Object required" but I can't
    figure out who sets that and why. Maybe no ActiveX object?
    http://www.taradeal.com/pow2.html
    still broken in IE6 if you want to check it
    http://www.taradeal.com/pow.html
    uses changed code and dynamic-data accordion works
    Spry.Data.XMLDataSet.prototype.xhRequestProcessor =
    function(xhRequest)
    // XMLDataSet uses the responseXML from the xhRequest
    var resp = xhRequest.responseXML;
    var manualParseRequired = true; /*** DC for IE6 **/

  • Some Devices are not showing up at all in the Discovery reports

    Hi all,
    The first time I ran the CS device discovery I got 50 reachable devices. I scheduled the Device Discovery to be run every week. I added more subnets to the discovery but unfortunately the last discovery shows only 31 devices from the first discovered devices (50). I checked the DCR and there is only 44 devices out of the 50!
    My question is:
    Should not the scheduled Device Discovery discovers all devices -the previously discovered ones and the new ones-?
    Why the rest of the devices are not showing up at all in the discovery reports (neither reachable nor unreachable) although all of them are pingable and responding to the snmpwalk tool from the CWLMS server.
    Your kindly respond is highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    I ran the discovery again with the same settings after enabling debugging and I checked the following log files:
    1. in the ngdiscovery.log I found a lot of errors all about Duplicate IpAddress example:
    ERROR  [DeviceManager : EvalTask-DiscoveryThreadPool-06 addNewDevice]  : Duplicate IpAddress (127.0.0.51) found in addNewDevice().Device 1 ip = 10.8.113.29 , id1 = 127.0.0.51*F1COR.xyz.com*.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.283, Device 2 ip = 10.8.113.106 , id2 = 127.0.0.51*LCD.xyz.com*.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.283
    ERROR  [DeviceManager : EvalTask-DiscoveryThreadPool-08 updateDevice]  : Duplicate IpAddress (127.0.0.51) found in updateDevice().Device 1 ip = 10.8.113.93 , id1 = 127.0.0.51*UDS.xyz.com*.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.283, Device 2 ip = 10.8.113.73 , id2 = 127.0.0.51*F2COR.xyz.com*.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.283
    ERROR  [DeviceManager : EvalTask-DiscoveryThreadPool-09 addNewDevice]  : Duplicate IpAddress (10.8.113.42) found in addNewDevice().Device 1 ip = 10.8.113.42 , id1 = null, Device 2 ip = 10.8.113.86 , id2 = 10.8.118.251*OPS.xyz.sa*.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.501
    2. in the CSDiscovery.log:
    Error while changing the permission of the file C:\PROGRA~1\CSCOpx\objects\csdiscovery\1348\DiscoveryStatusObj
    I checked the file and the casusers has a Modify permission
    My Question is:
    1. what is the meaning of those output exactly?
    2. If CWLMS found duplicatedd IP address how it works in terms of (ignoring, updating existing devices, Adding the new devices, ... etc)
    Many thanks for your help.

    Unfortunately, you are describing the symptoms of an AirPort Extreme with a failing (or failed) internal power supply.
    As a last resort, try a Factory Default Reset on the AirPort Extreme as follows:
    Power off the AirPort by pulling the power cord
    Wait a minute or two
    Hold in the reset button first, and keep holding it in for an additional 8-10 seconds while you simultaneously plug the power back into the AirPort
    Release the reset button and allow a full minute for the AirPort to restart
    Now try to configure the AirPort again.  If you continue to see the same symptoms as before, the AirPort will need to be replaced.

    What model iPad do you have? If it's an iPad 1, the battery may have expired and needs replacement.

  • Album artwork either all mixed up or not showing up at all

    All of my albums have the correct artwork in itunes but after i sync it to my ipod touch, most of the albums dont have the covers and some of them have the wrong cover. how can i fix this? I dont remember any of this being a problem until i upgraded to software version 2.2 for my ipod touch and the newest itunes.

    I have the same problem with the artwork for just one album on the IPOD touch. It shows the cover from another album. However, the album names are not the same and the artist is not the same. All is correct in iTunes. I have not yet figured out how to force a refresh of the artwork on a sync, but perhaps there is a way.
    Either the correct artwork got over written at some point, or as you guessed, the hashing scheme for linking the artwork to the album is flawed with more than one album cover resolving to the same key.
