Not found in My Computer

Hi Everyone. My computer recently crashed, and I need to get my music back from my ipod to my PC.
I followed this guide:
http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=797432#797432
I remember this with my nano, but I cant find my iTouch in the My Computer Window. Yes, I have hidden files off, so I can see them.
Why wont my iTouch show up?

The Touch and iPhone are not designed to be used as a disk drive. I know there is a program for the Mac that allows them to be mounted, so I would guess there is one for Windows as well, you may just want to look around for one.
I know that is not much help, but don't drive yourself crazy trying to do it w/o an extra program.

  • Serial number I provided is valid, but a qualifying product is not found on my computer?

Just purchased Adobe XL Standard, and it is saying the serial number I provided is valid, but a qualifying product is not found on my computer?

    HI ,
The reason why you get this prompt is because you are trying to install an upgrade version . I believe as per the conversation you are trying to upgrade from Acrobat X standard to Acrobat XI standard .
During the upgrade , you will be getting the option to enter the serial number twice. The first option when you are entering the serial number is for the actual product that you have purchased ie. Acrobat XI Standard .
The second time when you get the option to enter the serial number is for the previous version ie Acrobat X Standard. SO please enter the previous version serial number at the second prompt.

  • 30 gig iPod not found in My Computer or iTunes when plugged in

I just got this iPod the other day for a birthday present from my father. I immediately put some music and video on it and all was fine. I've had it plugged in a few times and it worked perfectly fine again. Last night I tried to plug it in again to put stuff on it and all that happened was the beep you get to let you know that something has been put in the USB. It is not shown in My Computer or iTunes, and there is no USB error balloon popping up. My iPod screen still says do not disconnect when plugged in and it still plays normally when unplugged. I do not know what to do to remedy this problem and I have tried many things and looked up and down the support section of the site, but to no avail.
    Emachines   Windows XP

Have you tried assigning your iPod a different drive letter? See these instructions below:
Log off of any other users on your computer (and disconnect any iPods that are currently connected to your computer, as well)
Then, put your iPod into Disk Mode, then follow these steps:
1 - Don’t plug in your iPod yet.
2 - Go to "START -> Control Panel -> Admin Tools (if you don't see this, click on "classic view" button on the left panel) -> Computer Management."
3 - Click on the "Disk Management" button in the left panel area.
4 - Now, with "Computer Management" and Control Panel windows opened, reset your iPod, and connect it.
5 - Right-click on your iPod's listing there (after a few moments when it gets recognized in this drive window), and click on "Change Drive letter and Paths". Then the "Change..." button.
Assign your iPod the letter "M" "N", "O" or the like (further along in the alphabet).
For more details, see this article:
Windows confuses iPod drive letter / Changing drive letter
If your iPod isn't recognize to assign it a different letter, or the above steps still don't work, then try disconnecting all other USB devices from your computer (other than your mouse and keyboard), and see if you can re-assign your iPod's drive letter works.
    I hope that helps you.

  • Ipod not found on my computer or iTunes

Everything was fine till my brother came with his new iPod. Mine was not named . I just plugged in his and i've been asked for a name . I skipped and continue. Now my own iPod is not recognized by iTunes or my computer. I'm scared to ****. What do I have to do to find it back? Please help me

Nope, already did that multipule times, my comp reads my iPod fine, its in Device Mag. and Services, but it doesn't show my pod anywhere. "My Computer or iTunes" im just sick and tired of Apple and them being so..... Strict.... about whay you can do with the iPod. I think im just going to get a Vision M and I suggest that anyone else having major problems with their iPod do the same. T
he Vision M may put a dent in your wallet, but its a great investment and it's been dubed "The iPod Killer," and their right. My friend has beaten his up the wazoo and it's still in better care than my babyed iPod. Plus there are about 100,000 more things you can do with a Vision M than an unreliable iPod.

  • Inspire T6100 Speakers not found by the computer

Hi all, I have the X-Fi Sound Blaster Extreme Audio sound card. I then connected the speakers to the computer correctly as per the green/black/orange connections. The blue light is on, on the centre speaker representing power. However in the sound/speaker options my speakers are not shown. I fI am to conenct the audio cable from the monitor to the sound card then the speakers in the monitor work so it must be a speaker problem. Any Ideas? Thanks

The first step would be confirming the printer actually got fully connected without any issue by running a wireless test page. This should be under setup on the front panel of your printer, then wireless, then wireless test report. If this is all a pass you should be connected, but will also want to try loading the EWS of the printer to ensure the mac/ipad see it.
Under the same wireless menu you should see the IP address, or an option for view network summary that will show that address. Put that address in top the address bar of safari as if it was a website, but without WWW. If it loads that page you have communication, just not the communication you need for printing on apple devices.
If that loaded and you cannot see the printer to print, chances are something called multicasting is disabled. Apple devices use bonjour to communicate, which is a multicasting protocol. Generally this will have to be enabled without your routers settings so you may have to check the manual for the device, or contact the router manufacturer.

  • Firefox sync - account not found on rebuilt computer

Windows 7 (Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601) lost my profile--after recreating a profile, I am trying to get the Firefox (29.01) Sync working between the rebuilt system (desktop) and the existing system (laptop) . I have what should be a good Sync account (it seems in every way to be live on the laptop), yet the rebuilt desktop insists that the Sync account does not exist and one must be created. That is to say, when I choose "Already have an account" and use the credentials I have, which apparently work on my other (laptop) system, I get the message that the account does not exist and that I need to create a new account. I reset the password on the existing laptop account just in case my notes were wrong. The account still works on my laptop but does not on the rebuild. At this point, I have then (on the rebuild) tried to create the account again (I know, but what choice do I have?). This does create an account, which I did not expect, but it is, apparently, a new account though with the same account name as is working on the laptop. At this point, there is no option to pair a device on the newly recreated system (and sync account). (The existing, laptop system does prompt for a pairing code, but since I can't get any such from the recreated system, it's a dead end.) At this point, should I delete (both) my sync account and start over?

hello, firefox 29 has introduced a new sync system which isn't compatible with accounts set up in prior versions. please try unlinking your laptop from the old account and re-add it to sync with the credentials of the new account that you have created: [[How to update to the new Firefox Sync]]

  • I changed to a new computer, but after I installed the software, went to set up, entered the serial number, then a pop up window tells me: "the serial # you enter is valid but  a qualifying product was not found on your computer" and on the selection it g

How can I get my serial number to work with my product?

So you are installing Design and Web Premium CS6?
    I started with a student Cs5
That's the qualifying version serial number which the dialogue box is asking for.
Is it a CS5 Creative Suite (doesn't matter if it's a Student version)?

  • Product is not downloading. It says  product could not be found on this computer.

I'm getting this message. I don't know whats going on. Please help!

it means the serial number you used is for an upgrade of a previous version.  that previous is not found on your computer so you are then prompted for the previous version (select a product) and its serial number.

  • Scanner Not Found Error Message on My Computer

5 years ago, I got an HP inkjet printer and after it was installed, I could never get the scanner to work. I always got an error message (can't remember the wording). Last month, I got a new HP laserjet printer with a scanner, and it is installed, but again, I get an error message when it comes to scanning. This message tells me that there is no scanner found on my computer.
Today, from the panel on the printer, I was able to open up the scanning option. It looks like the only options are to send the scan to an email or to have the scan sent to a flashdrive (USB port). So, if I want to scan a picture, how do I just scan the picture and save it in my documents? Why is the only option to send it in an email or a flashdrive or a network folder? If I try to access the scanner from my computer (instead of using the panel on the front of the printer), it doesn't look like the scanner is connected to the computer even though it is (I went into system preferences and found the printer and both printer and scanner are connected with this new printer).
So, my question is two-fold; why do I get this message saying my scanner is not found on my computer and is the only way to use the scanner is to have it connected to the internet or a USB port, and if so, how do I connect it to my email address or network? I guess I would have to email the scanned picture to myself if I want it on my computer or save it on a flash drive? Thanks for any help.
    This question was solved.

    Hi @awestruck ,
I see that you are getting a "scanner not found" error message. I would like to help you out today, but I will need to know some more information.
What is the full name and product number of your printer? How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Depending on which model you have, the features are different.
You should have the HP Software installed for scanning from the computer. You can also use Apple Preview, Apple Image Capture or Print & Scan.
What software are you using to scan with?
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)
    Have a nice day!
