hi there ive tried to download the HP recovery manager but is saying the softpaq will not be installed because HP Recovery Manager cant be found in my system? what to do now?

In that case you need to buy some Recovery DVDs if you didn't burn it out by your self.
I you didn't burn it. I will recommend you to contact HP support and ask here you can order this recovery set.

Folks,
We have new installed new PI 7.1 system and importing interfaces from the OLD XI 3.0 system in to new PID 7.1 system.
We are getting following error when we try to import an interfaces in to new PID system:
Import failed because of business system transfer object
Communication component XID_FileSystem: Obligatory
transport target for business system XID_FileSystem not found in
System Landscape Directory
We are yet to install PIQ system.
All the interfaces in the old XID system have transport target of XIQ system. I removed the transport taget for the interface, but transport target is still showing in the Business system under transport target head.
How can we overcome this issue as we will not have PIQ system atleast for two weeks.

Hi,
You need to maintain Transport Groups and target for business systems while SLD transports between your XI system and PI 7.1
Illustrated with DEv & PRD here.
Procedure:
1) Call Integration Builder screen on DEV Server with http://hostname:J2ee Port/rep
2) Call SLD (System Landscape Directory) Component from the Integration builder
Save all the Following .zip files on the Local Desktop
3) Select the Software Component & say Export that you want to Export from DEV
Server to Production server and which is going to use in the IR of XI
4) Also Select the Product of the above SWC and say Export
5) Select the Technical Systems (TS of XI & TS of the SAP R/3) and say Export
6) Select the Business System(s) & say Export; those are associated with above Exported
Technical systems.
In Production Server
1) Logon to the SLD of the Production Server.
2) Create a Technical System and Business system which points to the Production SAP R/3
3) Go to Administration TAB in the main page of SLD
4) Select the Import option to Import the SWC , PRD, TS,& BS which we Exported Earlier in DEV Server
5) Click on Browse and select the .zip files that is to Import into Production Server,
Which were stored on the local desktop at the time of DEV Server Export
And say Import Selected File Option
By this we exported and imported the SLD Objects
Now we have to create transport groups and transport targets in the Production server of SLD
Creation of Transport Groups
Edit GroupsGroup1) Select the Business systems
2) Click on New Group and give the name of the group as DEV_group & select the
Corresponding Development serveru2019s integration Server
3) Similar way create another group for Production serveru2019s business system as
PRD_group and select the Production serveru2019s integration Server
Creation of transport targets
This is to Define which business systems in two different groups correspond to each other
1) Select each Business system in the SLD and select transport TAB---click on
Add/Change Target and select its corresponding target business system.
For Example:
If you select the business system of Production XI server means
In the target you have to select group as DEVGROUP and the business system of Development XI server.
Like this do the same for other business systems also
Ex:
BS_PRD_Integration Server----
BS_DEV_Inetration Server

As the user in question, when I browse \\san.f.q.d.n\share$\username, the BACKUP directory exists, but there are no sub directories.
I manually created the sub directories, USERNAME\USMT - so the full path now exists: \\san.f.q.d.n\share$\username\BACKUP\USERNAME\USMT
I re-ran USMT but the process returned the same error.
If I specify other shares not on san.f.q.d.n but on san1.f.q.d.n or server.f.q.d.n or even workstation.f.q.d.n, it works fine.
Can someone provide guidance on how to troubleshoot this further?

In Windows, setting the Environmental Variable sometimes DOES NOT WORK.
The -Djava.io.tmpdir=C:\temp setting must be made in the server properties of the oc4j in order for it to work.

We have installed New PI 7.1 system and stared migrating the interfaces from XI 3.0 to PI 7.1 . in Devlopement system .
IR object have been successfully deployed but while delopying ID objects got the following error . Obligatory transport target for business system SAPR3D not found in System Landscape Directory.
When I checked with business system transport target was not defined ., Please suggest how to go ahead further .

Nexus 5500 "Mezz not found" error, system wont boot

Rebooted N5548UP after software upgrade didn't go as planned and now it wont boot up stating mezz not found. Attempting to get console access to boot the kickstart and load the image again but looking for direction if that doesn't work and what the mezz not found points to ??
A software upgrade attempt from 5.1.3 to 5.2.1 broke fiber channel connectivity so a reboot to revert back to original 5.1.3 was what got us stuck with a broken reboot for FYI.

We had the same problem on a Notebook G71. If you can get to the BIOS, do a RAM and a Hard Drive test. Our Hard DRive test failed and we had to get a new hard drive. When we took the new hard drive through the Recovery phase, we still got a device missing error, not the same one as before though. We started the process over several times and finally it found what it was looking for and is working fine now.
Search these forums, you will find a lot of good advice. I did.

Device not found after system update

After running a system upate from 10.4.0 to 10.4.11, Final Cut Pro no longer finds my camera at startup. Refreshing device in FCP does nothing. I tried installing the Pro updates, deleting preferences, and repairing permissions. The camera is found in iMovie and System Profiler, so it's not a hardware issue. If I need to downgrade the OS, to what version, and how do I update from 10.4.0 to something other than 10.4.11?

Ya know? They have such a bad rap generally with their interface with FCP that I shy away from using them... Sony cameras seem to always work, as do Panasonic units... can't say I know more than that, but Apple has tested many cameras and there is a list of what device control setting to use here: http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/resources/devicelist.php#results If you search with all, canon, all... you'll see the basic setting is pretty much every camera in every version of FCP with few exceptions.
I think the bad rap comes from the timecode signals recorded with them.. they seem to be weak enough that many times FCP reports a break in timecode where there really isn't one... Can't say why, but if you just search this forum on "Canon" you'll find a lot of problems with the interface with FCP. Been that way for years too.
If you're really going to go through a revert, I'd suggest you go all the way and reformat the startup disk and install it all again.. might use another drive for this and keep your current setup. That's what I've been doing for quite some time now, and it lets me "ease" into new OS's and versions of software that way. Also allows me to setup beta startup disks for beta testing that I do for a bunch of folk.

When I start firefox 12 it gives two errors; First one saying mozutils.dll is missing and firefox needs to be installed. Second mozjs.dll not found in system.

I downloaded and copied the mozutils.dll and mozjs.dll in the system32 folder and the first error message stopped. But the second error message persists.
The second error message says that no entry point found...... could not be located in the dynamic link library mozjs.dll
I did a clean install of firefox but still the same error.

DON'T PLAY WITH SYSTEM32 folder. You can get your Windows Corrupted.
You will need to Reinstall Firefox because your previous Installation did not end properly or it got Corrupted.

Keyboard not found after system update

I completed a system update on the iMac, which required a restart. Now the iMac cannot find my keyboard. It is a usb connection working fine before the update. It is an Apple extended keyboard. The system is optimizing and looking for a bluetooth keyboard. I unplugged the keyboard and plugged back in. I ran disk utility twice. I restarted the machine. It is still not recognized. The Bluetooth Assistant has a spinning icon that has run for 30 minutes. My keyboard does not respond to my typing. The keyboard is a 2 months old.
What happened? How can I get it working again?

Reset the Firewire bus
If your Firewire or USB isn't recognizing any device. A solution which has worked for some whose hard drive became invisible in 10.4 was simply to follow these four steps to reset the Firewire/USB bus:
1. Shut the machine down.
2. UNPLUG the power lead to the computer and any firewire/USB drive or devices.
3. leave it for 10 minutes.
4. Connect back up and reboot.

BP_ADDR not found in system

Hi,
I tried to delete enhancement of component BP_HEAD in IDES environment as it was throwing some binding errors on WebUI. It prompted to delete enhancement of BP_ADDR in process and we accepted to delete it. Now when I check BP_ADDR in the system, it is no more available (even standard component).
Is it possible that any SAP standard component gets deleted? If yes, how can we get it back?
Basis team replied back with following comment: "There is an ICM service called BP_ADDR but there is no BSP associated. Maybe it is included on a BC set that needs to be activated. ".
Can anyone send guidance on this issue?

Yes, there is a "bug" in the standard.
If you delete an enhancement the system proposes by default also to delete the standard class.
How to solve this is descriped in note 1370547.

DEV- QAS : Obligatory transport target for business system not found

Hi guys!
I have read all the other threads about this subject, but since I still have no success, I´m feeling obligated to ask you for a help (deadline approaching fast!)
I´m trying to transport a Communication Channel, from DEV environment to QAS. I'm having the 'usual' error:
Import failed because of business system transfer of object Communication Channel * | SIGA | SOAP_SYNC_SENDER: Obligatory transport target for business system SIGA not found in System Landscape Directory
Here were my steps:
Keep in mind that in DEV, everything was up and running: Software Component, Product, Technical System and Business System for this name "SIGA".
1 - In DEV, I created a new Technical System, named "SIGA_QAS", pointing to my QAS server. (Keeping in mind I already had a "SIGA" pointing to my DEV server.)
2 - Still in DEV, I did create two groups: GROUP_DEV and GROUP_QAS, one points to INTEGRATION_SERVER_DX1 (DEV) and the other INTEGRATION_SERVER_QX1 (QAS).
3 - Still in DEV, I created the Business System called "SIGA_QAS" also, pointing to my QAS server.
4 - Still in DEV, I went inside both Business Systems and put: "SIGA_QAS" as TARGET BS of "SIGA" (which automatically puts "SIGA" as SOURCE BS of "SIGA_QAS")
If I look at my QAS SLD, I can see all of these objects already there, since my BASIS team did activate the 'sync' between these two environments. So, I dont need to create anything 'new' in my QAS SLD, all the objects are there, same as DEV SLD.
If I try to EXPORT/IMPORT a simple Communication Channel (using file system or even CTS - I tried both) I get the error mentioned above.
But this is 'wierd' for me, since the error says: "business system SIGA not found in System Landscape Directory", but it is there, in both SLDs.
Am I missing something here?

Hi,
If you not tried this then try it. Delete the Business System SIGA from Integration Directory in your QAS system and then again import the business system from SLD. Acitvate the changes and then import the CC from Dev to QAS.

MSFT_ISCSITarget.Connect() Method is throwing System.Management.ManagementException "not found"

I am using c# wmi calls to connect to connect to ISCSI LUN through ISCSI initiator. I am using windows server 2012 r2. From server manager I am able to connect through ISCSI initiator. From GUI every thing is working fine. I am able to list ISCSISessions
through ISCSISession.GetInstances() in c# code. WmiExplorer is also showing that connect method is there. Generated class contains the connect() method.

Business system RD1 Not Found

Hi All,
when i was trying to import the tpz from XI Dev into QA (XI Dev and XI QA are using the same SLD)
i get the error:
Import failed because of business system transfer of object Service | RD1: Obligatory transport target for business system RD1 not found in System Landscape Directory
But i already have the RD1 in the SLD and define the transport target, the target business RQ1 is already in it.
what's more SLDCHECK is fine, and i try to clear sld cache but without any luck.

Hi,
It seems like you have different GUIDs for SCV within XI system and SLD. Thus while transporting it will create the problem, as the GUID conflicts with SLD side GUID.
Changing the GUID is possible but must be done in a consistent way within the XI system and SLD

Obligatorytransport target for business system not found in SLD

Dears,
We implemented CTS+ in our PI three system landscape.
While implementation we configured local SLD and after that for dev and QAs we configured a central SLD.
And for Production we have seprate SLD.
In DEV SLD we have three buisness systems:
File_Dummy of type DEv
File_Dummy_Q of type QAS
File_Dummy_P of type PRD
Now in transport target group of File_Dummy I put File_Dummy_Q and in File_Dummy_Q I put File_Dummy_P but for BS File_Dummy_P target group is empty.
Now I put all these BS into a request and import them in QAS then I get error:
Obligatorytransport target for business system File_Dummy_P not found in System Landscape Directory
Now I am not getting what to put in transport target of File_Dummy_P as it is of type.
I tried to put their File_Dummy_P but we can not put PRD type BS there.
I also tried with dev and qas BS there but still same error.
Please suggest how to resolve this error.

did you transported the associated technical systems of your business systems....?
Also I assume you have assoicated the targets foryour business systems in SDL..
like for D targets are Q and P
for Q source is D and Target is P
for P sources are D and Q... if not assoicate the same...
and also make sure the three groups are available for three environments...

Transport Error while transporting ID TR (Target Business System not found)

Hi Gurus,
We are facing a issue with transports while transporting a ID transport to Prod from QA.(We are using CTS+)
Its our first transport to PROD and we have checked the configuration for BC Application Server in Administration ->Content Maintenance and all looks good .
Our SLD is looks as below
We have shared SLD for Dev and QA and it looks as below
Dev's BS has target business system of QA BS
And in Prod Sld looks like as below
QA's BS has target business system of Prod BS
When we transport from Dev To QA transport works fine but when we transport from QA to Prod its gives below error and in error its points that target for Dev business system is not found in Target SLD.
We thought we should try to point Dev BS ====>>Prod BS may be that might work work but its also giving error same error.

Hi,
I assume you have two SLDs(SLD1 - for Dev and QA , SLD2 - for Prod) and PI 7.0 or XI 3.0.
In this case the ideal solution would be to
1. set up a SLD bridge between your Dev/QA SLD and Prod SLD. The bridge basically forwards all the Technical system SLD info to Prod. SLD.
2. Import Dev business systems information into Prod.
3. Then create transport target,
Make sure that you have created Business Groups for Dev/QA/Prod properly
