Not gathering any oracle info

MAP 6.0 with oracle 11.2 client installed on Map server. SSH finds the Linux oracle servers and obtains Linux info but nothing about oracle is captured. MAP documentation says the required credential for Oracle is 'Administrator' credentials.
Would 'Administrator' be the linux user owning the oracle install or root or a database login?
Any other info on how MAP collects oracle info would be helpful.

MAP should be able to discover SID/instance information at a minimum. Have you tried using root? There are multiple rounds of data collection that occur, the first
is when MAP attempts to collect hardware and service information from every machine (Oracle SID/instance information is part of this). Then, based on what information gets returned, it will queue up machines for additional scans, such as directly connecting
to the Oracle database engine to gather more info, like schema info for Oracle. This additional scan requires the Oracle client to be installed on the MAP machine.
To answer your question on credentials, the scan of Linux is done with SSH and therefore need admin or root credentials for Linux. For the in depth Oracle scan, you
will need admin credentials for the database engine so that queries can be run for schema info.

After upgrading to 10.2.2.12 on windows XP SP3 , itunes does not display any summary info or buttons/options. The buttons work but it does not display the text on the button or the options available.

I recently upgraded the iTunes software to 10.2.2.12 on my Windows XP laptop. Since then, iTunes stopped displaying the Summary info
, the text on the buttons, the various drop down options. The buttons seem to be working but I can't tell what that button is supposed to do
or the option I am selecting. This is preventing me from syncing my photos to the laptop.
this was not a problem with the previous version of iTunes.
Actions taken :
- I tried downloading iTunes again and repairing the install. That did not fix it.
- Don't want to uninstall it as I am worried that I would lose all the songs and the purchases etc.
1. Has anyone encountered this ?
2. Is there a solution for this ?

Yeah it does, although the problem predates version 10.2.2.12. It's been around since earlier-on in the version 10s (at least).
It's usually Segoe UI font trouble on the Windows 7 systems too. Unfortunately, the Vortical troubleshooting technique only works on XP and Vista systems, so dealing with the issue on a Windows 7 system is trickier. (There's a bunch of different possible issues relating to the fonts that could be in play, and so the treatment tends to depend on which issue in particular you've got with the Segoe_UI fonts.)

Where are the persona packages stored on a Win7 PC with FF6/7b? Also, I can not find any actual info on what the process is to create a new persona theme, all of the info I can find is rather vague and never even tries to explain anything.

I want to make a custom persona, but none of the info I find on the web actually states where or how persona packages are actually stored on a Vista/Win7 PC. I'm using FF 6 and 7beta. Where the heck are custom persona stored while they are disabled?

A Persona consists of two images. 
One large image (lightweighttheme-header, 3000x200) for the toolbars at the top and a smaller (lightweighttheme-footer, 300x100) for the footer that are stored in the Firefox Profile Folder.
The list of installed personas is stored in prefs.js in the Firefox Profile Folder in the lightweightThemes.usedThemes pref in JSON object format ({"id":"#","name":"xxx",...}).

The first entry of that pref is the currently used persona. 
Only the image files of the currently selected persona are stored in the Firefox profile folder.

Hi,
If you want to delete the info record, you can set the deletion indicator with ME15 or if you want that after PO the info record should not get updated in the PO at item level in material data de-select the check box info update.

Because I can't delete the icloud account, I keep getting view terms to accept and it wants to go to the old company account. I can't do anything to get rid of this - when I try to delete the icloud it wants me to delete find my ipad and asks for the old co. id and password - it's a vicious circle and i just want to get rid of it and start fresh with my regular personal email id and password!!! Help!

You will need that old Apple ID and password, which does indeed still exist. Apple doesn't delete Apple IDs, though if this ID was in the control of your company they may have changed the password. If so, you will need your former company to log into the iCloud account using that ID and password and erase the iPad or remove it from iCloud:

Until that's done you cannot change those settings, and if you try to restore the iPad will have it locked with Activation Lock and thereafter be unusable.

For me to answer your questions, I would need to go get that documentation.
Then I would need to read that documentation.
Then I would need to write a forum post that interprets what I think I learned from that documentation.
It is so very much faster if YOU go do that instead of posting to a forum and expecting others to do it. You will remember what you study for a lot longer time if you teach yourself.

Oracle Apps adapter not displaying any Business Events

We have configured a Business Event in Oracle ebs R12 instance. Now we are trying to configure Oracle Apps Adapter in Oracle Jdeveloper. The version is 11.1.1.3.
The apps adapter wizard; after connecting to the ebs instance; does not display any tables/Business events.
The connection to the ebs instance is done by a normal user i.e. 'apps' user credentials are not used. We are not provided with 'apps' user credentials due to security reasons. We need help in figuring out the privileges that shld be granted to the 'normal' user so that we can browse and select the Business event in Jdeveloper and also the apps adapter can create the subscriptions and queues successfully in ebs.
Any pointers will be greatly appreciated...

I am new to this topic and dont really know how to go about this. So can i assume from your post that the oracle apps adapter can subscribe to an event in EBS. If yes, can you tell me how i can do this?

Is the disk cache and the memory cache enabled?
You can check these prefs on the about:config page.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

Oracle form builder 10g is not opening any form ,on Vista

I have installed DevSuite 10g and its update in my Vista machine. Everything is working fine ,but when I try to open any form in form designer(form builder) the form builder crashes and it gives me error saying-
"Oracle form designer has stopped working
A problem caused the priogram to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
It does not get any problem if I try to open any other file. But it crashes when try to open any fmb file. Please help how can we resolve this issue.

In your Vista platform, create a simple form. No canvas required, just two procedures:
PROCEDURE P2 IS
BEGIN
NULL;
END;
and
PROCEDURE P1 IS
BEGIN
P2;
END;
First, create procedure P2 and compile it.
Then create procedure P1 and compile it.
Go back to P2, and remove the semicolon after the NULL. If you try to compile it, it will fail.
Go to procedure P1 and try compiling it.

I have similar issues and was referred to a knowledge base article support.apple.com/kb/DL1572 This seems to corrected the issue.

I suspect you have the original, 1G iPod touch. Those can only go as high as iOS 3.1.3,
If y ohave a 2G those can go as high as 4.2.1

Imaq avi get info do not retrieve any info

Hi everyone,
I have some trouble with the vision VI IMAQ AVI get info,
everything was working well then I don't know what happened but the VI does not retrieve any information on any files, and I get the following error:
Error -1074395993 occurred at IMAQ AVI Open
Possible reason(s):
IMAQ Vision: File I/O error.
I need the framerate, Width, height and number of frame from this VI or else I cannot develop my application.
it only returns 0 on all values but the number of frames which is not correct 4294967295
I am thinking I might have broken the vision library.

Sorry for the multiple message,
I have found why it did not work it was not the imaq get file info but the IMAQ AVI Open VI that does not like the path string given by the open/Create/Replace File VI.
If you have any idea why it would be appreciated.

Oracle error: The listener could not find any available service handlers...?

I'm running Coldfusion 8 and Oracle XE 10, both on IIS 7.
Every so often, I get this message:
[Macromedia][Oracle JDBC Driver][Oracle]ORA-12519 The
listener could not find any available service handlers that are
appropriate for the client connection. One possible cause for this
error is that the server was not configured for the specified
server type (shared/dedicated).
I can restart the OracleServiceXE service and it works fine.
However, I have no clue what is causing this. I believe it all
began once I started using CFSCRIPTS and running queries using that
instead of CFML. Would anyone know what COULD cause this error to
happen and what I should look out for? I am new to Oracle and CF
btw.
Also, I can access it fine through the oracle homepage, but
when I attempt to connect to it from the coldfusion administrator,
it cannot establish a connection to that data source. It is only
after I restart the service that things go back to normal. Thanks.
