Not getting email for alert log error

Hi ,
Any one please answer , I am not getting e-mail alert for error in alert log file .
Please some one guide me with the steps to configure the same.
I need to configure this option in production very urgent.

The SMTP Adapter don't just "through away" messages. If your Tracked Service Instances shows that a message was sent through the Port, I am pretty sure that a mail was indeed sent.
-Are you using Static- or Dynamic Port?
Can you try to set the Send Port in "Stopped" state, and then send a message to it. Examine the message suspended in BizTalk, and if everything looks ok, then start the Port again and check that the message has disappeared from both suspended and running
instances in the Group Hub.
If so, quickly check the mail box, make sure that no spam-filters etc. are messing up your test.

User defined metrics for alert log errors

I want to create UDM for getting the full description of alert log ORA - error to be reported via E-mail. Can somebody guide me or help me withe script which can be used to create this alert. Currently, We get the only the message of that error is generated; which request us to manually check the alert to log to figure out the error.

what metric did you use and what is the database version.
There are metrics related to alert log errors but those which have status at the end of a name return number of errors
and w/o status provide error description:
11g
Generic Incident - error message
Generic Incident Status - number of errors
10g
Generic Alert Log Error - error message
Generic Alert Log Error Status - number of errors
Did you set Generic Incident or Generic Alert Log Error? If description is not enough
you might use UDM but it would be easier for 11g since there are internal views which
have access to ADR, for 10g it will be required to build additional procedure (to open and read alert log)

ALERT not getting triggered for messages in error in adapter engine

Hi All,
I am doing the same scenario where I have created two Alert category Alert_cat1 and Alert_cat2, both are similar but one i have created for error in integration engine(Alert_cat1 ) and other for adapter engine(Alert_cat2).
Now for Alert_cat1 i have created a rule and in the setting "where did the error occur" I have given no restriction.
Now for Alert_cat2,as discussed in the above blog I have created many rule each for various adapter.
I have tested it, above mentioned configuration is working for message mapping error (sxmb_moni)
but not for any error in adapter engine for messages in waiting or system erroe status.
Kindly suggest where I am going wrong.

Alerts not getting Triggered for Integration Engine Error

We are configuring Alert Framework in our project. Here when the scenario fails at communication channel we receive alerts but when it fails in message mapping we aren't getting any alerts.
Below are the settings:
Alert rule created with no restrictions (Sender: * Receiver: *)
Where did error occur ? No restriction
Suppress multiple alerts of this Rule : Not set
It would be great if some would help us on this.

If you have created separate alert categories then test you alert as described later in this post. Else create a new alert category for your IE level exceptions. Give a description, long text, add your sap id in the fixed recipient list. Make sure you have ur email id configured for ur sap id in SU01. Create a rule in RWB. Make sure that you click on the "Add rule" tab once done. Keep all the entries as default. Give a description, remove suppress multiple alerts ,for now, keep rule active checkbox as checked, where did error occur- choose IE both stars.
Now we need to test if this alert category is working fine. Go to se38 and execute RSALERTTEST. There give the name of your alert category. Execute. Now check in the ALRTDISP, if you get an entry there. Let me know....

Not getting email for password reset

I have 2 users that have forgot passwords and trying to reset them by have a email sent to them. the email never arrives to their inbox.

Not getting email on MAcBook Pro, but receiving on iPhone. Getting message "Warning Recent errors logged" It repeatedly states "The Header From: address postoffice is not authorised - please go to control add PHP" But I only have 1 email address.

I am suddenly not getting email on my MacBook Pro, but am receiving e-mail on my iPhone. I'm getting message "Warning Recent errors logged" It repeatedly states "The Header From: address <postoffice> is not authorised - please go to control add PHP" But I only have 1 email address. I'm afraid to add anything on since I don't even know what this other e-mail address is. What should I do? And would this definitely be the cause of my not receiving e-mail?

I am not getting email alerts in Forums for my watches. Is there something wrong with my account or across the board. I used to get them before on my yahoo and I have not changed anything since then

Getting " Not enough memory for the operation error " in BOE

Hi,
We are using BOE 11.0.
we try to schedule a new report with multiple database logins for testing in BOE. When we run the report we are getting error like "Not enough memory for the operation error"
The same report has been executed successfully when we run using Crystal reports developer. The report is fectching less than 10K records from all the databases together.
Please let me know which is causing the issue and also let me know is there any limit in the number of databases connecting for a single report.

Sorry. I'm new to BOE. We know only scheduling the reports creating folders etc. :-)
I've seen one parameter "Maximum Cache Size Allowed (KBytes)" and the value for this parameter is 5000.
If we change it to a big number whether we can solve the issue ? Please suggest.

For Mail, from your Mail menu bar (top of your screen) click Mail > Preferences then select the General tab.
Click the pop up menu to the right of New messages sound to make a selection.

Processing log not getting updated for send immediatly

I have a custom output type and a Custom function module for issueing the output for delivery, my prob is that it processing log is getting updated for the send in batch and other options but it is not getting updated for the SEND IMMEDIATLY, I am using the same FM for the Output issue I am checking if they have selected output type as 4 if yes, I am calling a FM in perform by saying
PERFORM xxxxxxxx ON COMMIT
and in the perform I am calling a FM
CALL FUNCTION xxxxxxxxx in BACKGROUND TASK AS A SEPARATE TASK,
the functioanlity of issueing the output is working but the Processing log is not getting updated.
What might be the problem ? it is getting updated for Send in batch but not for except 4.

Alert log.xml or alert.log errors do not appear in EM

Little puzzled here. Using 11.1.0.6 to test if alert errors will appear on 11.1.0.1 EM Grid pages. Simple ORA-1653 triggered via sql insert and then waited and waited. Nothing. I can use EM to open log file and to display the errors but no alerts are flagged on any of the pages.
Is this a another bug?

Not getting email alerts on new meetings

I have recently installed a new Mail Account as an MS Exchange sever account. I have an ICAL exchange account as well. The issue is I am not getting emails when someone sets an appointment - but I do get notifications in ICAL. I have set a card as "my card" in address book. Any help on what else to do would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using Mac Mail?
If so, you also have to have the account set up in MM that the ical events are being sent to. You also need to go into your mail preferences and set the ical invites to automatically dump invites into your ical to "never" if you want an actual email invitation.
Though, I'm not seeing an issue with just viewing your notifications in iCal only, you know, to bypass duplicate invites...
