If you are getting Siri when you double tap, then your home button must be sticking. Siri comes up when you hold the home button. Try tapping quickly twice. When that happens, the multi-tasking list comes up and you will see the app icon and then a thumbnail, or reduced size view of the app above it. You put your finger on that thumbnail and swipe upwards with your finger.
For that issue, you might want to do a reset of the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. This will not affect your data.
To be honest, your novel is a little difficult to read, and I think you put too much information in there, and a lot of it is unnecessary. Be to the point and just add information necessary to understand the issue. -
IPhone will not get emails unless my work laptop is running.
I posted this within another iPhone post but I think this is a more appropriate subject line. I recently changed some rules and alerts (nothing major, simple move to folder A if X is in the subject line stuff). After making the change I noticed that none of my work email is retrieved by the phone when my work laptop is in sleep or off(MobileMe is working fine). If the laptop is running everything works fine. The work tech team stonewalls me as soon as I say iPhone (I can log into our browser-based Exchange server) and based on my past experience with them I'm not counting on them to be of any help.

I had been having trouble with Outlook "waiting to update folder" and I made the changes to prevent Outlook from getting caught in that loop. I essentially just moved them around and added two basic rules to keep the inbox tidy. I'll try and deactivate them and see if that helps. Unfortunately that change will also make using the phone difficult since I'm on so many distribution lists with work. Thanks for the reply, Malcolm.

I updated my imac to osx mountain lion. Had trouble with icloud affecting my itunes so I turned off iclouds.
Then my automatic software updates stopped coming through. Even when I check for them manually by
clicking on software update it acts like it's checking for about one second then says "no updates available".
It's been months since I've got any updates, used to get them every week or two.
Could turning off icloud have affected the necessary contacts ? Please help,

If you check for software updates using the App Store in OS X 10.8 and get "NSURLErrorDomain error -1100" the problem may be with your Software Update preferences. This is particularly likely if you were using a custom Apple Software Update server. To solve the problem, quit the App Store, move the following two files (if present) to the trash, restart, and only then rerun App Store updates:
/Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist

Hi, I m using an iPhone 4 and my yahoo push email was working just fine but for the last few days I am experiencing some problem that is the emails are not getting pushed , I have to manually fetch the mails. So what could be the reason for this.....I have set the email setting to "push" mode. Moreover I can't edit the mail server address ....current it's on Yahoo SMTP server
Will it get rectified and restored...if so after how long. What could be the reason for such outage kindly share, as I am facing real problem because of this...

DROID X DOES NOT RETRIEVE EMAIL UNLESS POWERED OFF, THEN ON
I've identified through testing and confirmed that my 3 day old Droid X does NOT actually retrieve email from a third party (non Google) mail server WITHOUT having to power it down, then back up first. Activating the cute little manual retrieving spinning circle, in fact, does NOTHING.
I have tested this a MILLION times after not getting emails. MANUAL or SCHEDULED settings absolutely do not work.
I REPEAT, I do not receive email unless powered off then on
I set the the following to no avail:
* battery profile to "Performance"
* Data Delivery settings to "Background data" enabled
* Data roaming to enabled
* Email and Corporate Synch settings/Email delivery settings "Data Push" to enabled
* "Fetch Schedule" to EITHER "15 minutes" or "manual" (either of which shouldn't matter if Data Push is enabeled)
* Sync over WI-FI Only is disabled
Not retrieving email is critical to my business- I use a device for email more than I talk to anyone.
This constitutes a breech of service unless it is immediately rectified.

Now when i shut the X off an do the restart it's back on.
I don't use WiFi very often (work doesn't allow non work computers to connect, and at home I use my laptop), but I find at work that my phone sometimes doesn't want to connect to the Network when I walk into the building from the parking ramp (very spotty service on the ramp).
What I do to correct this without restarting, I turn on 'airplane' mode until I see the little airplane in the notification bar, then turn airplane mode off. Within a minute, the network is reconnected and working in 3g just fine.
Location is also part of the problem. I work on the first floor of the building. They are doing remodeling on my floor right now, so I am now on the top floor and have not had this happen since the move a month ago. Since my floor is below a hill with another building on top of the hill between my normal location and the closest tower, the line of sight is hidden, so I expect small problem with it. It doesn't happen all the time, but I do notice it when I try to run internet radio at work. -

If your Tracked Service Instances shows that a message was sent through the Port, I am pretty sure that a mail was indeed sent.
-Are you using Static- or Dynamic Port?
Can you try to set the Send Port in "Stopped" state, and then send a message to it. Examine the message suspended in BizTalk, and if everything looks ok, then start the Port again and check that the message has disappeared from both suspended and running
instances in the Group Hub.
If so, quickly check the mail box, make sure that no spam-filters etc. are messing up your test.

Have you contacted your email provider to make sure there are no problems on their end? If they say their email servers are working properly, check the outgoing and incoming mail servers entries on your iPhone to make sure both are entered correctly. Enter the outgoing mail server even if the account setup indicates that is optional. -
I am suddenly not getting email on my MacBook Pro, but am receiving e-mail on my iPhone. I'm getting message "Warning Recent errors logged" It repeatedly states "The Header From: address <postoffice> is not authorised - please go to control add PHP" But I only have 1 email address. I'm afraid to add anything on since I don't even know what this other e-mail address is. What should I do? And would this definitely be the cause of my not receiving e-mail?

Sales orders from CRM are not getting blocked with credit check
Hi All
I have configured ECC in such a way that , if cutomer does not have enough creditlimt, then those sales order will get blocked. Our orders will come from CRM, and some times some orders are not getting blocked with credit check even though the customer does not have credit limit. And at the same time some orders are blocked with credit check...what are all the things that should be checked to diagnose the problem.

Orders created via CRM will not have transaction code set (SY-TCODE). -

If email contains attachment it works. Is there any setting in document library that will allow emails and eventhandler to fire with out attachment?

ChanduWe are using Oracle AIA Exception Handling feature. In the BPEL process , we have catch branches defined. From the catch brances we are invoking AIAAsyncErrorHandlerBPELProcess.
In case of an exception , the instance of AIAAsyncErrorHandlerBPELProcess and AIAReadJMSNotification is being created. We have configured ns_emails.xml and user_properties.xml as per the documentation.
Kindly let us know the issue. -

Advising record (ADV - HSBC form) in DME file could not get email address
Dear all,
I have problems with DME file that Advising record could not get email that is maintained in vendor master data.
Standard communication methods in vendor master data must be Emails.
We use exit module to get this email for below fields:
Email chnl se. flag
Email address
T-code DMEE -> Advising record
(Attributes tab: Mapping procedures is Exit module.
Source tab: value was entered for Exit function)
We test once and got the expected result: email shown on DME file, in advising record.
However, as I rechecked recently, we have no email shown (though Constant value 'ADV' shown).
The form is active by the way.
I do not know if I miss anything in configuration.
Please advise.

What is going on with POP email? I can NOT retrieve email unless*...I reboot AND reset!* I POP 3 Comcast emails and my own URL email. Never any problems on Entourage. Hourly issues with my new iPhone—and it's only been 4 days.
This is *unbelievably frustrating* and negates why I got the dang thing in the first place.
Does anyone have a work around? Is this a known bug (Apple) or am I missing something?
+*Plus as a side note I think there are too many clicks into the In Box. Just a usability thing I wish I could set myself.+

Its not always the case, but I can't isolate the scenario which causes it to go into this weird mode...
