Not iTunes problem - Vista Problem
Songs are not able to be played on the main user account on my computer. It just randomly stopped working and do not work on any media players. I made a new user account and mp3's work.
Any help would be appreciated.
Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Ive got the same problem, just got my iphone unlocked, and they told me to sync it to itunes to get it permently unlocked, well everytime i plug my iphone in it says; it wont work as it needs up dating to 10.6.3, which i have already updated, but still doesnt work, so how can i get my phone unlocked?

My Ihone 4s is not being recognized by Itunes.There seems to be no connection, the cable i am using is not the problem because itunes will recognize my Ipad2 and Ipod thru it. I have the most current itunes and phone software I need help!

Itunes problem with windows Vista
ok i bought my touchsmart tx2 1025 with windows vista ultimate 64 bit and well i ve noticed that ..well since this is my third time i exchange this computer and i noticed there was a problem with the speakers when i was playing music that anytime during a song i would get this distorted sound like when u put a lot of volume in ipod headphones that it sounds like a crack. Well that happened in my computer even with low volumes.
However I played two times the same song on itunes and two times on windows media player.
Every single time on itunes the sound came as if the speakers were about to blow... like a crack..
Every single time on Windows media player it never sounded like that.
So i am pretty sure its an itunes problem. Does anyone know how to fix this.. i would rather use itunes than windows media player but i really hate the sound it makes sometimes because it shows about 2 to 3 times during one song.It's possible that the song your playing does indeed have a little audio distortion in it, some media players are capable of filtering it out in a silent way, others play a beep, hence with one song I have, if i play it in windows media player it goes on and then for a split second theres a beep, iTunes doesent seem to do it, so instead of filtering out the missing data, it plays it.
This is more likley a problem with the song than iTunes -
How can i retrieve purchased audiobooks that were not synced (problem encountered during sync process)? My account shows the purchase history, but the apps are no longer displayed in itunes or on my ipad or iphone. I'm not very savvy with using iTunes - I don't think is very intuitive (unlike me:)). Any help would be appreciated.

My computer failed and the main drive had to be formatted but all my music was on a separate internal hard drive. So I downloaded the latest iTunes , problem is it has found all my songs but seems to not recognize half of the album data, half of the artists, all of the dates and all ratings data.
I had a large part of it backed up on DVD's but it does not want to recognise them either?

My iPod touch doesn't show up in my macbook desktop. This prevents me from copying data into it. What can I do? It does however, show up in itunes so that is not a problem. Only started happening after I got mountain lion. If that helps.

I purchased Photoshop CS5 for my windows vista operating system. I purchased a canon 7 D some yrs ago no problem. I purchased canon 7D mk 11 in December 2014. The supplied software will not work with vista. Photoshop CS5 will not accept canon7D mk11. Can someone please tell me how i process canon 7D mk11 photos ?????. (is it possible to bypass camera raw and open the photo straight into CS5 without using camera raw first. if so how do i do that. if not how do i process pictures).

Brian in the UK.Photoshop by itself cannot process raw image data. That is why the Camera Raw plug-in was developed. You could try the DNG converter and convert your images to the DNG format and then the Camera Raw that you have would be able to open them. I can't recommend Lightroom because you are using Vista, and Lightroom 5 cannot be used with that operating system. It may be time for you to get a new computer and upgrade your software.

Well that was a jerk reply, thanks for no help 'gdgmacguy'. I have the same problem and have already contacted support regarding the matter. Hang tight Scottyp, I will post any resolution I find or receive from support for us and others coming here for help.

I purchased Premiere Elements 13 & Elements does not support Windows Vista which is our operating system. I have Elements 12 and never had this problem. What are my options? Do you have a compatible program for WinVista similar to Premiere Element?

In your other thread which I have cited above, I have posted a list of choices ahead of you. There is no workaround to get Premiere Elements 13 to support Vista, XP, or OSX 10.7 that has ever surfaced.

Itunes not working with Vista Home Premium 32-bit
Itumes 10.6.3 version will not work with Vista Home Premium. I have a 32-bit operating system. I'm not sure what to do next. It appears in trying to update it deleted the old itumes, as I can't find a copy of it when I search the computer.
Then I installed Quicktime on its own - still get the same error 'Quicktime has stopped working;
Okay. That will be the source of the iTunes problem. (Without a properly working QuickTime, iTunes won't work correctly.)
Checking on things that can cause QuickTime launch errors now.
Have you at any stage installed any Codec Packs, any copies of the programs QT Alternative, QT Lite or Storm Codec, or any media converter programs that can convert files into QuickTime readable formats?
(I'm checking on these things because depending on the versions of the programs/codec-packs, these can install earlier versions of QuickTime componentry on a PC, which can interfere with the running of a higher version of QuickTime.) -
IPod recognized by Vista but not iTunes
Hi, I have a perplexing problem. iTunes is suddenly not recognizing my
iPod. Vista does (though has renamed it Apple iPod), but it does not
open (when I try, Explorer hangs)
Nothing happened b4 to provoke this behavior. I uploaded some podcasts
on Friday, went out of town (w/out the iPod), and came back Monday
night. Tuesday, I try to update the iPod and it doesn't show up in
iTunes, but Vista wants to reformat it!
I try the following (suggested in the Apple support pages):
* I restart the iPod service
* I completely uninstall iTunes
* I reset the iPod
Each time I connect the iPod to Vista, it asks if I want to reformat it. I grudgingly restored to see if that would help. I even reformatted it (Quick Format) even though I had heard that was bad. Still doesn't show up in iTunes, but the iPod is happy as a clam, albeit empty of any songs/podcasts.
Any ideas? Oh, and I have an ancient 3G iPod w/ doc connector. After 5
years, (and 3 batteries) it still works like a champ.You need to install iTunes in order to install the necessary drivers.

Someone help me with severe iTunes problems?
I am running the latest version of iTunes on my computer running Windows 7. Since November 2010, I have been unable to purchase anything, I have been unable to update my iPod touch 3rd generation, and I have been unable to sync, etc etc. The second I open up iTunes, I get a "duplicate file name specified" pop-up. This same pop-up happens when I plug in my iPod. And it happens again when I try to buy anything. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, I have tried installing previous versions, EVERYTHING. I have also contacted Apple Support via email multiple times. Finally, around my FIFTH time contacting them, they said I could restore my iPod to factory settings and start all over, and they would make every purchase I have ever had available for download again. Sure, they were made available for download again, but what error did I get when I tried to download them? Duplicate file name specified. So I never restored to factory settings. I've been relying on an outdated iTunes store on my iPod itself to buy anything. Please, I know I wrote a lot but if ANYONE has any help they could give me, I'd really like to be able to have a functioning iTunes and iPod touch again!
I am also having this same problem on Windows7 Ultimate. I have completely removed my Music Library to make sure that was not the problem. I have uninstalled all Apple applications from my computer. I have re-installed my original version of iTunes (10.5.2.11) and finally I unistalled that and reinstalled the latest iTunes (10.5.3) and I still receive the "A duplicate file name has been specified". It does not stop me from playing my library. But, as Aidan said it does stop me from purchasing from iTunes Store.
Has anyone found a fix for this?
