Despite attempts by some within BT, include some on this forum, to try and paint my frequent complaints as being related to me, my line or my equipment and not something more widespread such as BT Network Failures or a failure of the frankly useless and unreliable microwave relay links that connect Shetland to the mainland, it would appear that BT, in the shape of BT Scottish Director Brendan **bleep**, are to be called to account for their appalling service to Shetland. This from the website of local News Agency Shetland News:
"THE RECENT disruptions to broadband services in Shetland will be high on the agenda for the second Northern Isles Digital Forum on 2 August.
BT Scotland director Brendan **bleep** will be at Islesburgh Community Centre from 12.30 to take questions from local people.
The meeting has been arranged by isles MP Alistair Carmichael, who said: “BT has questions to answer on the problems that we have seen and this meeting will give local people the chance to discuss these issues with senior management directly.
If people are unable to attend, I would encourage them to contact my office directly with questions and I will be happy to put them to BT.”
About time. Perhaps this will be borne in mind next time I have to come on here and kick up a fuss.......

the reason I asked if it was your conenction or more widespread  was due to a subsequent poster from shetland who has a very good connection so not all of shetland have bad conenctions.
the really bad outage in june was caused b thieves stealing a section of copper cable
