Not letting me accept License Agreement, so It won't run!

After installing, re-installing and un-istalling and re-installing I still have the same problem: Once the program (8.1.2) is installed (Vista system) I try to use it and the License Agreement appears, and I clic "accept" and nothing happens, then I clic "decline" nothing happens, so I close window by clicing on the "X" and a pop-up informs me the agreement was not accepted and the program will exit and does.
Any ideas what I need to do to get this to work?

The reader, vers 8.2, is not letting me accept the license agreement.
    Running XP sp 3.
The question has been here before, but the thread has gone missing.

Can you give us a little more detail.
Can you see the accept button or is it off-screen? You can see it but when you accept nothing happens...etc.?

Restart your phone and if that doesn't help, reboot the device.
Restart the iPhone by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reboot the iPhone by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the phone start up.

  • Can't access my video meetings after Lion install Flashplayer will not let me accept or deny

I can't access my online meetings after installing lion.  Flashplayer will not let me accept or deny.

Yes I have tried everything.  Talked with support on the phone and all they could say was it is adobe Flash players fault.  They had no idea how to fix it.

Unfortunately, most of my advice is in the "hindsight is 20-20" category.
First off, I would never have purchased the peripheral accessories until the 14 day return period had expired. Second, you learned the hard way what the "14 days" really means.
Too bad you didn't do any homework, reading this and other forums and tech sites. Even word of mouth from others. That, more than anything could have steered you towards different phone choices from the get-go and I will leave that there with no further comment other than to say most of the issues you described have been discussed in this forum, ad nauseam.
Once you got into the refurbished phone exchanges, that is where things really went haywire. What someone tells you over the phone is a sketchy proposition, and when it comes down to it, it's your word against theirs.
I think Verizon tried to make it right, though. Remember, they don't make the phones. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
You stated yourself you were a satisfied Verizon customer before this. Had the first two phones performed as they should, you would still be a satisfied Verizon customer.
Doubt any of that will make you any happier, but after you went through the effort of writing such a long post, I thought I'd try.

  • ICAL will not let me Accept or Decline new Invites from outlook users

Hi using Ical with mobileme new calender. Ical will not let me accept or decline any new meeting invites or change and updated invites sent to me.

So as the owner of a 140 year old brand who appreciates just how important it is to continue satisfying your customers, I have to wonder just how long will it take for Apple to lose the loyalty of its raving fans?
I love my iPad . . . except that it won't work with Adobe Flash which makes it kind of useless for many sites that I visit.
I love my iPhone, unless I actually want to use it outside of my home (Cincinnati is always 10 years behind, and our AT&T network is all but downtown for large parts of the day).
And I love my iMacs, so much so that I paid big bucks to integrate it into my office network (I am the CEO, so I can do that) and convinced my wife, mother and mother-in-law to switch from PCs.
    Life was grand, integrated, happy!
And now, the MobileMe upgrade, which tried (unsuccessfully) to force me to Snow Leopard (I was able to complete the upgrade manually); then refused to work with Google Calendar (annoying, but I switched my wife's calendar to MobileMe and eliminated the need for Google Cal); but now, I cannot get Outlook notifications to work. Really?
If Apple is going to now be **** bent on making sure that their products are completely incompatible with Microsoft and Google, then I may have to switch back. I understand that Windows 7 is much better than the old XP that I gladly left behind. My cousin has an Android phone which appears to work great. There are now a plethora of new tablet PCs running Android that all appear to be great. And my wife was happy with Google calender and Google Docs, so maybe technology has finally evolved to the point that we no longer need Apple, Steve Jobs or his arrogant my way or the highway brilliance any more.
It is a sad day. I loved Apple. I admired Steve Jobs. But frankly, I feel that my loyalty is being taken for granted by an arrogant company that no longer gives a **** about its customers wants and needs. I NEED Apple devices that can work and play nice with Google, Outlook and Adobe Flash. And Mr. Jobs, if you are too **** proud to deliver this kind of functionality to your customers, the day is fast approaching (and may already be here) when I can find other companies that are willing to do whatever it takes to make my life just a little bit easier. My loyalty is not free, but comes at a price: namely, that you respect me as a customer. The Apple that I knew AND LOVED is fast losing its shine. Does anyone care?

  • Adobe's  "accept license agreement" pops up way too much and ruins UX

I got a work PDF today from the boss. I opened it up, and about 3 seconds later acrobat reader *shut down* on me while I was reading.
Up pops the accept license agreement box.
It pops up every day ot two for each product. It's like Adobe just can't remember that I have a valid subscription. True, I use a Mac and a Windows machine.
But stiil, the Cloud should know I'm activated and pay.
Can Adobe fix this so the experience is better ?

  • Why will reader XI not let me accept the license agreement upon startup? Only Decline is available.

I have had to restore my Win 7 64-bit system due to Reader XI crashing on start-up due to internal error and it took Acrobat XI Pro with it. Now I cannot accept the license agreement. Tried Tab-Enter and that did not work. Any ideas? I need this for college classes immediately.
    Thanks.

I don't know why this is happening; I have never seen this before.  Try the following
using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader
double-click on Eula.exe and accept the License Agreement
If that still gives you the same problem, set the registry entry that you have accepted the License Agreement:
download, unzip, then run the registry script from https://files.acrobat.com/a/preview/33ef697f-e339-49ab-bb3e-afc9057ece66

  • ITunes 10.5 won't run after accepting license agreement

I've been searching message boards for the past 2 days trying to figure out what's going on but have found nothing. I'm running Windows XP Pro. I updated to iTunes 10.5 only so I can update my iphone to IOS5. The install went fine without any errors. When the installation was complete, I double clicked to load iTunes 10.5 and it opened up the software agreement screen, I clicked agree and then agreement window disappears and then nothing, just nothing...
I have done this several times. I've uninstalled itunes and reinstalled itunes, still the same thing. Then I went drastic and I uninstalled every single bit of apple software on my computer and then downloaded new versions from the apple site and reinstalled everything only to get the same result! No matter what I do, everytime I try to run iTunes 10.5 it only opens the software license agreement screen and does absolutely nothing once you click "accept."
I've looked at all of the processes running and itunes appears in the process list once I run it but then after I agree to the license agreement, it dissappears from the process list after a few seconds.
    This is ridiculous.

Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows)
Configure Internet Options (for Windows computers only):
Run iTunes Diagnostics. If the "Secure link to iTunes Store" section does not pass, do the following.
    Open Internet Explorer.
From the Tools menu, choose Internet Options.
    Click Connections.
Under "Dial-up and Virtual Private Networking," choose "Never dial a connection." It may not be possible to choose this if you’ve never used dial-up Internet; if this is the case, skip to the next step.
    Click LAN Settings.
In the window that opens, enable the option to "Automatically detect settings" if it is not enabled.
iTunes uses Internet Options proxy settings. Apple recommends removing proxy settings that interfere with access to the iTunes Store if needed.
    Click OK.
    Click the Advanced tab.
Scroll down to the Security section and look for the option to "Check for server certificate revocation." If it is enabled, disable it.
Look for Use SSL 3.0 and Use TLS 1.0. Make sure at least one of those two checkboxes is selected and click OK (You can select both checkboxes).
Apply any changes, and restart your computer if you modified the option to "Check for server certificate revocation" (step #11).
    Rebuild network information.
    WindowsWindows XP:
From the Start menu, choose Run.
In the Open field type cmd and click OK.
In the resulting window, type ipconfig /flushdns and press Return on the keyboard.
You should see a message that the DNS Resolver Cache has been successfully flushed.
    Windows Vista and Windows 7:
From the Start menu, choose All Programs > Accessories and then right-click Command Prompt and choose "Run as Administrator" from the shortcut menu. If Windows needs your permission to continue, click Continue.
In the resulting window, type ipconfig /flushdns and press Return on the keyboard.
You should see a message that the DNS Resolver Cache has been successfully flushed.
The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store.
If you want to have Windows try to restore the hosts to default, follow the "FixIt" in How do I reset the hosts file back to the default?.
Note: Work systems may put information into the hosts file. Consult whomever is responsible for supporting Windows on your system before resetting the hosts file to default.
If restoring the defaults did not resolve the issue, you can find your hosts file at C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC .
Select the hosts file. Choose Edit > Copy, and then choose Edit > Paste.
There should now be a duplicate of the hosts file named "Copy of hosts" (Windows XP) or "hosts -Copy" (Windows Vista/7).
Drag the original hosts file to your Desktop. If Windows needs your permission to continue, click Continue.
Drag the "Copy of hosts" (Windows XP) or "hosts -Copy" (Windows Vista/7) to the Desktop.
Right-click "Copy of hosts" (Windows XP) or "hosts -Copy" (Windows Vista/7) and choose Open. You may be prompted to choose the program you want to use to open this file. Double-click Notepad.
When Notepad opens, choose Edit > Select All, and then choose  Edit > Delete.
From the File menu, choose Save. Quit Notepad.
Drag the "Copy of hosts" (Windows XP) or "hosts -Copy" (Windows Vista/7) file from your Desktop back into the original location (given in step 2). If Windows needs your permission to continue, click Continue.
Right-click the  "Copy of hosts" (Windows XP) or "hosts -Copy" (Windows Vista/7) file, and choose Rename. Type "hosts" (without quotation marks) and press Enter.
Restart your computer and try connecting to the iTunes Store.

  • No scroll bar on itunes to accept license agreement

I don't know what to do. When I put my ipod in my computer and I bring up itunes, I click on the ipod link under devices. When I do it tells me to accept or not to accept a license agreement (i guess). I can't scroll over to accept. I am assuming this is the only thing holding me back from downloading music to my ipod. I have already registered it on the apple website. Does anyone have any advice?
