Not Matching info on iTunes & iPod

I primarily use my iPod at work. My PC is often used by other employees in the evening. Today, when I plugged in my iPod, another persons info popped up. ie: His iPod name and songs were listed. BUT NONE of my info or songs were listed.
When I disconnected all of my info and songs were still on my iPod. How can this happen and how can I fix it??

Might be a drive letter conflict. Try this.

  • HT1364 If I already moved Itunes media folder to external drive and now music is not matching up in iTunes?

    Dear Itunes Community~
This is my first time using glad you are here, but all the passwords!!
    Question/Quandry:
If I already moved Itunes media folder to my external drive and now my music is not matching up in iTunes, what should I do?  I have tried my solution !?, and now I have 17,000 songs, instead of 9,000!
Should I just uninstall Itunes, and then reinstall Itunes, and let it do it's thing, and then figure out how to move to the external hard drive later?
Help, I screwed it up all on my own!
Any/all help and Itunes educated suggestions appreciated!
    Thank you very much,
    Doris =:o
PS ~~ Is there anyway to easily delete duplicates?? Seems not?

I have a very similar problem. Hope I don't confuse people trying to help us since the solutions may be different.
I had my iTunes path directed to a 2nd internal hard drive. Everything was working fine - except I found that purchased Apps were still being downloaded to the Mobile Applications folder on my main hard drive instead of the 2nd internal drive. I decided to retry directing the iTunes path to my 2nd internal drive, hoping that might get iTunes to save my Apps there. Big Mistake. Suddenly, there were no Apps showing in my iTunes Library Apps window at all. I verified the downloaded apps are still in my main hard drive's Mobile Applications folder, but I cannot get iTunes to display them in my Apps Library window anymore.
I decided to try downloading a new app and, sure enough, iTunes once again downloaded it into the very same Mobile Applications folder on my main hard drive, where all my (now orphaned) original apps are, but the only one iTunes will only display in my Apps window is the new one. I read you can redownload purchased apps, but my apps are not missing. iTunes just won't display them in the Apps window anymore.

  • How do I set up CS5.5 educator edition pack when instructions do not match info on my CS5.5 package?

How do I set up CS5.5 educator edition pack when instructions do not match info on my CS5.5 package?

I have a 22-space alphanumeric product code for my Adobe creative suite 5.5 web premium package.
It does not have the 24-space alphanumeric code that is the product code sequence asked for when signing up for adobe procuct code approval.  Adobe keeps asking for a correct code and I only have the one they gave me in the package, called a product code, but adobe keeps rejecting it.
Also, the program never loads correctly - it says this at the end of the 45-minute loading from the disc.  That is getting awfully tiresome as well.  I have everything closed as they request, and do not know how to turn off the virus protection which is windows defender.
Also, mine is a new teacher edition, and when I go to the page for getting my approval, it will not open that page.  I have used Adobe products before with typical annoying hassle but always eventual success.  So this really is perturbing.

  • Album art not matching correctly between iTunes and iPhone.

So as much as this might not seem as an issue for some, I notice that my album artwork in iTunes does not always match up with the album art on my phone. If I think that some artwork for a song or album is unappealing or not matching, I will change it to my own artwork. Normally, this has never been an issue for me until recently. What happens is I do the normal album art changing procedure (go to get info, add/delete album art) and it works fine. The odd thing is that when I go to select an album on my phone, the album art is the same as what it was in the iTunes Store and not what I added, but the individual songs have the album art that I added myself.
I've managed to fix this issue on some albums by converting them mp3 format, but that only works for some and I don't know why. I would prefer the song art and album art be the same, just because I'm really nitpicky about things matching. Am I missing a step or doing something wrong? Does anyone else happen to have this issue, or any clue what the problem might be? Help would be much appreciated, thanks!

What you are trying to do is clear but iTunes Match / IOS 6 does not work that way.
You can sync playlists from computer to iDevice using the options under the music tab for your iDevice on the computer.  This will provide a local copy on the iDevice of each Song included in each Playlist selected for sync.
With iTunes Match / IOS 6, as Songs are played from the iCloud (ie not those already downloaded in playlists) IOS 6 does in fact 'download' the Song to a local cache.  In theory this cache should be managed by IOS 6 such that it does not overload your iDevice memory - Apple have not chosen to share exactly how this operates.
Given your notes above would suggest starting from a refresh restore on the iPhone 5 with all synchronisation performed afresh and iTunes Match switched on.

  • TS4124 Is there an option not to upload songs that are not matched in the iTunes library

I don't want to upload all songs not matched, not necessary and adds no value. Should be an option to skip this step and proceed after matching all songs in iTunes library

Please disregard. I found the problem. The 3 songs were duplicates so everything was synching correctly.

  • How to update song info in iTune & IPOD after changes made in source drive?

After I added songs to library in iTune and updated in IPOD, I notices some some information was not correct. How can I update the song information to iTunes & IPOD other than clicking each song one by one? In another words, is there a way to batch update the song information from the source drive (I have uploaded all my CDs and saved on my harddrive.
    Thank you.

I understand that you use iTunes to sync, but somehow didn't use iTunes to delete the file. You will have to use the iTunes interface to delete the file. Go to iTunes/Books, highlight the book, and delete the file. The next time you sync,  you should not see the message.
Respond in this thread with the results, so we know the problem is fixed or not.

Is the setting to prevent deletion of the copy on the comcast server: preferences, accounts, and then uncheck "remove copy from server after receiving message"??
    That should work.
You'd just have to forward the messages manually, one by one, as far as I know (there may be a way to script it but I'm not too keen on AppleScript).

  • Artwork on iPod does not match artwork in iTunes

    Hello all,
Lately I have noticed that the artwork for the songs on my iPod are way off from what the artwork is for the same song in iTunes. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason. I have done a reset of the iPod to factory settings and then resynched the iPod but it still is showing the same problem after I added some songs to iTunes and did another synchronization.
    Any ideas?
    Ed

I had this problem for a while then I realised that it was because I was syncing music from 2 PC's. When I synced from my home PC all the artwork would be ok but then when I added another album from my work PC all the covers got scrambled. I believe its because I needed certain folders from my home PC on the other one. Dont know if this will help but thats what happened to me.

  • IPod not showing up in itunes, iPod screen says Do Not Disconnect

I just got a nano, and installed the itunes software on the computer. It was working fine, I even put some songs in it, the Do Not Disconnect screen came up, and so I hit the eject button. As soon as I did that, the PC froze and so did the nano. Now, whenever I put the iPod in the USB port, and open itunes, the Do Not Disconnect Screen comes up, and the iPod is not listed under the Source list in itunes. What can I do?

That happened to me on numerous occasions. if you have more than one user on your computer using itunes, it may be connecting to the other user.
also if you have a window's computer, this link may help.

  • Playlists songs not the same in iTunes-iPod Touch (most often played)

I have created some smart playlists based on "most often played" or "most recently played", and the thing is than on iTunes, the playlists' content is correct but when I open the playlist on the iPod Touch, the songs that show up are not the ones supposed to. I tried changing the "most" recently played to "least" recently played, and it worked for the iPod Touch in the way that know I can have the MOST RECENTLY PLAYED songs but actually I'm using the "least recently played" criteria so in iTunes is all the other way around, it really shows the LEAST RECENTLY PLAYED!! What can I do to fix this??? Thank you very much.

There is a 3rd option (besides disabling live updates, or sorting things in reverse): construct a similar 'smart' playlist without using the 'select by' rule. So, for example, if you usually pick the '50 most recently played', create a list of 'played within the past 5 days'. Or instead of the '50 least recently played', try 'last played more than 3 months ago'.
These alternative playlists won't be limited to a fixed size, but they can accomplish similar goals, and they avoid the bug.
Whether this solution is better (or worse) than reverse-sorted playlists depends on your preferences. For me, this works reasonably well (and the lists appear the same in iTunes and on the Touch).

  • MP navigator ex the scanner driver for this device is not supported for my itunes/ ipod

Mp navigator ex driver for this device not supported when I plug in my ipod I have windows vista

    Hello there K_McCreedy,
I saw your post about the scanning issues you have been having with your PS B110a and Mavericks. I have looked into this for you and I would like to offer some suggestions.
First of all, there is no downloadable full feature driver and software (scanning software included) for this model of printer and Mavericks. There are some work around options however, that I will link you to below!
    Please follow these steps:
    1. Mac OS X: How to reset the printing system
    2. Repair disk permissions
    3. OS X v10.9 Mavericks: Installing and Using the Printer on a Mac
(See under link #3 for the different methods of scanning options with Mavericks under the FAQ's section)
I hope I helped answer your question!
Thanks for posting in the community and have a great day

  • Video does not match memory, missing iTunes U videos

I had iTunes U on my ipad and downloaded some courses but then my son deleted the app.  Now the memory is still taken up by the courses but I can't find them anywhere to delete them.
I re-installed iTunes U but they're not anywhere to be found.  Right now the video memory for the ipad shows 5.7G used but I only have 2.8G of movies on there.
How do I free up my memory?

Most likely something your son did corrupted the data. I had this just happen with a game. It was "copying" over from my ipad to mac when I was syncing and I hit cancel. Well, then I had 1.2 GB of Other data just taking up space. I would suggest trying to sync your ipad to the computer. See if just syncing clears up the phantom space, if not then you might have to do a restore.
Hopefully syncing(uncheck itunes U on computer) will remove the data after its synced.
I would start there and post back. Maybe someone else has some ideas.

  • IPhoto events do not match events in iTunes?

When I try to sync my photos into my iPad from iTunes my events are not the same as my iPhoto events. It's like iTunes broke up my events into smaller events with the same name. Any one else with this problem? iTunes does the same thing when I try to sync my iPhone.

I had all the same issues. Tried numerous things with using another temp-iphoto-library and stuff...
In the end I opened iPhoto (make sure iTunes is closed), deleted my iphoto-trash and quitted iPhoto again.
Then I opened up iTunes (with my already plugged in iPhone) and I could see all the correct entries in the photos section of the sync-menu.
Hope that works for you too!
