Not open new IE window when clicks on a hyperlink

Hello. I'm using Adobe Reader 7.0.8 and IE 6.0
I open a PDF file using the Adobe Reader, click web hyperlink on the document, it always launch in same IE window.
How can I configure to launch a PDF hyperlink in separate window? Thanks.

Not open new tab (empty) when clicking on a .pdf link that can't be read in FF (no plug-in for pdf)

When I click on a pdf file that should be able to be open in Firefox (with plug-in), FF open a new empty tab and ask to open or save the file.
I would like that in case of FF not being able to open the pdf file, it skips the "open empty tab" part and directly go to "open/save" part.
Is there a way, server side, to tell FF to do so or is there only only client side solution ?
NB : In case that pdf can be open in FF, or any other browser, it should still be open in the browser and not be asking to "open/save", the point is only the empty tab.

Is it possible you were using the Tab Mix Plus extension on your Windows system? Tab Mix Plus has a feature to force bookmarks into a new tab automatically when you left-click instead of the default behavior of opening in the same tab.

Urgent help on opening a new popup window when clicking on h:comandButton

I am working on a JSF application.I got a requirement where i need to Open new popup window when the user clicks on <h:commandButton>. Here is my sample code.

At any way, a 404 simply means that the URL is wrong.

Yes I can it only happens in the browser..
I reinstalled Windows on my machine and started over a couple of weeks ago.
When my desktop started up I didn’t have Acrobat installed and clicked on a pdf file and the open with xxx dialogue box came open.
I chose a different program as Acrobat wasn’t installed yet so it associated pdf files with another program.
Later Installed Acrobat and couldn’t associate the pdf file with acrobat so I went into Folder Options and manually associated PDF files with Acrobat.
Ever since then I get the error when something is downloaded and opened in the browser.
Works fine everywhere else and when I cancel the blank error, highlight the web address and press enter to reload it works 90% of the time.
Not sure what to do..

Spotlight does not open a finder window when i choose Show all in finder menu?

I have a significant number of files in my Macbook Air. A lot of them are research papers and medical literature.
About a month ago I updated the operating system from snow Leopard to mountain Lion and I had no reasons to complain except a smaller battery time.
Since then I installed every OS update.
After the last update, a few days ago, Spotlight does not open a finder window when i choose Show all in finder menu.
Spotlight continues to work properly if I write a name or expression in spotlight in a finder window but not in the upper left corner at the menu bar
As this been described yet?

I had the same problem yesterday after performing a clean install of Mountain Lion (10.8.2) on my MacBook Pro.
I resolved the problem by booting from the Mountain Lion Recovery Partition and then running Disk Utilty (Repair) for the primary disk on which Mountain Lion is installed. It identified (and repaired) many permissions issues...
When I rebooted following the repair, Spotlight worked again properly -- including the "Show All in Finder" function.

I have created a table view and out of the 5 columns 1 column data is hyperlink which displays the pdf file path.

i tried the same code but it seems to be not working, no error nothing is displayed when clicked on the hyperlink.
for testing i have put the code as , even this does not work.
WHEN if_bsp_wd_model_setter_getter=>fp_onclick.
        rv_value = 'http://www.google.com'.

I want that when I click on a button, it should open a new browser window. I have tried to set property on the button , direct to url , html = _blank.
but somehow it is not working.

Even if i create different regions , it is not possible for me to place them between items.
But anyways, I created a separate button in the same region and it works fine.

Opening new email window when email link is clicked

Hi,
I have a requirement where there will be a email id displayed on view.
This email id should have a hyperlink and click on which, should open a new mail window of MS Outlook with the same email id in 'TO' section.
Any idea how to achieve this?

This can be achieved using a LinkToUrl UI element in the view.
Open the properties of the LinkToUrl UI element. In the Text field, provide the email id that you will like to show on the screen.. say abc[AtTheRate]domain.com. If the email id is fetched at runtime, you can bind this to a context attribute as well. The context attribute will then hold the value like abc[AtTheRate]domain.com.
Then in the Reference field, we need to provide the string prefixing a "mailto:" to the email id. For example :
mailto:abc[AtTheRate]domail.com
If the value changes at runtime, then map the Reference field to a context attribute. This context attribute should contain a string like - mailto:abc[AtTheRate]domail.com
At runtime, when you click on the link... outlook compose mail window will be launched with abc[AtTheRate]domain.com in the To Address Field.
Make sure that Outlook is the default Mail Exchange Tool in the system.

Why does Firefox stop opening new browser windows when "Sync" is running?

I downloaded and installed Firefox Sync v1.4 to my Firefox v.3.6.10
While Sync is running, Firefox will not open a new window when I do any of the following:
* Click "New Window" from the File menu.
* Click "Open in a new window" from right-clicking a tab.
* Click a link with JavaScript to open the target in a new window.
No error messages, just no action. I updated Sync to the newest version 1.5 but the problem still exists. Disabling either version in the Add-ons window "fixed" the problem. Is there a setting that causes this problem? Are others experiencing this same problem?

Firefox 3.5 versions and later have a feature called tear-off tabs.<br />
You can detach a tab from the current window and open it in a new window by dragging a tab in the browser window.<br />
You can drag that tab back to the tab bar in the original window to undo that detaching.

Opening New Browser window for click event on an image

hi all,
I want someone to help me out solving the problem of opening
a new browser window on the mouse click event of an image or a
button etc.... The new window would contain the datagrid details
from the main window, but in an expanded form. If at all there is a
solution, I even want to know whether there is anyway for sizing
the poped up window,because I dont want the new poped up window to
cover the entire screen.
For getting better idea of my problem, the best example I
could give is the popup window that appears when we click on the
preview button while posting the message to the forum.

I'd definitely try to use a Flex popup... but the
flash.net.navigateToURL method is a simple way to open a popup
window in a new browser. You can pass any data needed by the new
page using the URLRequest and/or URLVariables. The URL you navigate
to could, of course, be another Flex application if necessary. I
use this only when I need to open a popup window on another site,
or an HTML formatter report or something similar.
Concerning yourself with the size of the popup window may be
a bad design choice also. I, for example, have my browser
configured to open all popups in a new tab regardless of sizing
constraints imposed by the designer. If it is absolutely necessary
for you to have control over the size of your popup window, you
should follow the advice given by others and use a Flex
popup.

I have to load an applet viewer in the new browser window. I have URL to the PDF.
I ma able to load the applet viewer in new browser window using javascript. But I have to load the new PDF if the same window in already opened.
The issue here is , i am loosing the window handle if the parent page is refreshed. I want to store the window handle in session scope variable and use the same.
How do i update the session scope variable using javascript?

Opening New IE Window When Using WebGUI

Does anyone have any experience with extending notifications? We need guidance on how to change the HTML properties so that when a user users the links in the Outlook notifications from workflow, that it opens a new IE window even if they have an IE window open.
What currently is happening, is that when a user is logged into the HR portal and then tries to use the links in the email notifications from Outlook, the SAP webgui logon pad opens up in the current open IE window and tries to pass the same crendentials that were passed for the HR portal and will give them an error of "SSO logon not possible, browser logon ticket not accepted" and also causes a runtime error: dynpro_send_in_background.
To circumvent this, we are trying to make the links open a new IE window for the logon pad.
ANY help will be appreciated and will be rewarded with points.

I think this cannot be controlled from SAP, instead you need to see IE options.

Stop "Open in Dashboard" widget from opening new Safari window when viewed

Hi,
For the first time, tried Safari's "open in dashboard" to make a widget showing an area of a webpage that updates information frequently.
It worked, but now whenever the Dashboard is viewed, something in the code opens up a new Safari window, even starting up Safari first if need be. (Because of the url, I suspect some javascript is trying to set a third-party tracking cookie.) Safari preferences don't appear to matter.
Any way to prevent this? 2010 iMac/10.6.5/Safari 5.0.3.

Thanks for replying, but that isn't the answer I am looking for. Also, there is no + sign, UNLESS you do tap the overlapping boxes.
Let me try to ask my question a little more clearly:
When I tap the two overlapping boxes on the lower left (the option to Open New Windows), the new Window that appears will show your Bookmarked FAVORITES. But with my new iPhone 6, and the new iOS 8.0.2, when I tap the two boxes to open a New Window, my Bookmark Favorites show (as they always have and should), but below them, there is a dividing line underneath them, and it says Recently Viewed Websites, and has these websites available to tap.
So my question is, HOW DO I TURN THESE OPTION OFF?
*UPDATE (10.13.14): Since I have asked this question, I no longer see these Recently Viewed Websites under my Bookmarked Favorites in my new Window tabs. So I hope that Apple fixed it, or somehow it was a mistake, or somehow I changed an Option on my iPhone 6 that stopped this for reoccurring.

GMail in Safari w/FluidApp opens up blank window when clicking externally

I'm currently using FluidApp to create a stand-alone instance of GMail in Safari. This works great for quickly switching to GMail as I can just type G using Quicksilver and I'm there right away.
However, I'm noticing something annoying in that whenever I click a link in my email to an external website Safari opens up another window that I need to close in addition to wherever the website opened. So my path basically goes GMail > view external website > leave external website to return to GMail > close annoying blank window > Go back to GMail.
Any idea why this is happening?

You should check Preferences > General to see that you've enabled the "Open links from applications:" in a new tab in the current window. Then restart Safari and test to see if the problem is resolved.
