Not reading content
Hey,
I'm hoping someone can help. I'm new to asp development and azure. I have made a website and downloaded all the sdks needed to publish from MS Visual Studio 2013. I can create and publish to a domain yet when I click on my domain it gives me a page saying
"Nothing on here yet" If I load the site in to webMatrix I can see all my files. So I am led to believe that the files have uploaded successfully I just don't have it configured correctly. Note, The site works fine when using a local host. Any help
will be much appreciated.

Hey everyone, I have a 160gb iPod classic that has all of a sudden developed problems. About a month ago I was listening to it in bed & it was working fine, the next day I connected it to my 2008 Macbook to transfer a couple of new tracks id just downloaded from iTunes, then when done I hit the 'eject iPod' button in the iTunes sidebar like normal, waited until it the ipod display said it was safe to disconnect form computer then pulled the lead out from computer then out from ipod. Then to my horror my iPod displayed no music under its main menu screen!
When I plugged the ipod back into my Macbook iTunes opens up like normal but a message comes up saying "iTunes cannot read the contents of 'my iPod' & goes on to prompt me to the summary tab in iPod preferences & click restore iPod to factory settings.
I tried resetting it by holding the menu & centre button down & rebooting but this didn't work.
Now whats confusing me is when i click on settings & about this ipod on its menu it says there is 22.7gb used on the storage bar but its under 'other' in the orange colour. So im guessing that my music & videos are obviously still on its hard disk its just not reading & recognizing them?!
Eventually after tralling through web forums & getting nowhere I reluctantly restored the ipod, wiping it and starting again from scratch.
I synched all my music from my macbook which worked fine & the iPod has been working fine for the past few weeks until today when I plugged it into my macbook to create a new playlist & experienced the same problem
Again when going to the setting menu & about this ipod it says it has 22.7gb of other content on iPod?!

Generally, you can't use iTunes to transfer (or "burn" in this case) files that are currently on an iPod. The only time iTunes can be used for iPod to computer transfer is for songs that were purchased (by you) from the iTunes Store.
This has never happened before.
Are you saying you were able to do this before? Yes, you should be able to burn from your iTunes library to CDs, but not from your shuffle. It's intentionally designed that way.
However, you can use third-party methods and utiltiies to transfer from iPod to computer. If you do a Google search on something like "ipod transfer," you should get some links.
Once the song files are on your computer, add them to your iTunes library. You can then burn the songs to CDs. You can also Restore your shuffle if needed and re-sync the songs. -
ITunes not reading contents from iPhone on MacBook
Hi, new year greetings !! New year new problem with my apple environment.
1)This is the sequence if events. I had downloaded few music podcasts on my iTunes through my MacBook.
2)When I try To sync the podcast it to my iPhone, it fails, does not copy but gives no error message
3)Some one tells me about transferring podcasts from MacBook to iPhone using third party software.
4) I download the software and started using it.
5)After 5 minutes figured out it was no use so I uninstalled the software
6)i plugged my iPhone to my mac immediately after and iTunes pops this message "iTunes is unable to read contents of this iPhone, goto summary tab in iPhone preferences and click Restore to restore this phone to factory setting"
This has never happened before, it happened after using the software which I have already uninstalled.
Pls help, what am I to do..
And my initial problem how do I copy the podcasts to my iPhone ??

SayeedSame thing just happened to me. iPhone synced successfully yesterday, but now iTunes wants me to restore the factory settings on my iPhone. Not a cable problem, as I have tried two different USB cables.
What's more, this is not the only iTunes problem of the morning. I was trying to use my iPod (not iPhone) to move my Music library to my son's computer. An error message popped up that my computer (not his) was not authorized to play iTunes purchases, and all purchases would be deleted from my iPod unless I authorized my computer. Even though this computer has been authorized for years, I tried to authorize it as instructed -- only to repeatedly get an error message (-42408), which is apparently a common problem these days.
So I thought, let's see if the iPhone gets the same authorization problem when synced. Well, that didn't work out too well.....
Not too happy with Apple at the moment. What should have been a simple and quick process has now turned into a time-consuming nightmare of multiple problems affecting multiple devices, and apparently these problems are common. -
When I connect my iPhone 4 it says iTunes can not read contents of Iphone. Help?
I recently got a new laptop (windows 7). My non-jailbroken iPhone 4 synced the first time but now when I connect it it says 'iTunes cannot read the contents on (iphone name) please reset to factory settings and try again. I've done that 3 times, I've tried using different USB cables and ports, and I've even tried thet ifunbox file manager and deleted iTunesDB as people say to do. Any ideas?

I know this question has been asked before and I apologize for asking again but all the solutions provided don't seam to work for me, can anyone help me please.
I am receving the message: "Itunes can not read the contents of the iPhone. Go to the summary tab In iPhone Preferences and click restore torestore this Iphone to factory settings".
Now a little about my iphone, Itunes and my laptop and what steps i havealready tried.
I have an iPhone 4 running software 5.0
My itunes version is 10.5.0.142
I know these are not the most up to date versions but I have had this issue for almost 3 months now and updating the software back then was the first step I tried. I don’t believe updating to the latest will fix this issue as updating the last two times did nothing.
Every so often after starting Itunes, The program will stop responding and will require the three finger death kill (CTRL, ALT, DELETE) to open task manager to end the task of Itunes. Once it shuts down, I restart the iTunes and it runs smoothly, apart from not reading my iPhone.
When I run a diagnostic in itunes under the help tab, I get these fail messages:
Network Connectivity test: Secure link to Itunes store fail
Device connectivity test: Under support services: Itunes helper is not running. And under ports: No iPod, iPhone or iPad found.
Device Sync test: No iPod touch, iPhone or iPad found.

I have restored back to factory settings twice.
I have shut down and restarted both my iPhone and laptop.
I am running Windows 7 32-bit on my laptop.
I am using ZoneAlarm as my fire wall, and have been disabling it when syncing my iPhone to prevent other error messages.
The iPhone is plugged into a genuine Iphone USB cable and is plugged into a USB port not a USB hub on my laptop, I have tried plugging it into all 4 USB ports and this issue still persist. The Cable is less then 5 months old, is not frayed or damaged in any way, have also borrowed 2 other cables from friends and still the same issue.
The iPhone does not even come up in windows explorer as a digital camera.
The iPhone is NOT jailbroken
I do not live close to a so called genius bar, however I have made the journey to them on 3 separate occasions last year when I first received my iPhone for a different issue, the so called genius's could not fix the problem so they just gave me a new (refurbished) iPhone, which did not extend my warranty. I will not be taking the iPhone back to them as I believe they can not resolve many issues, this is why I am reaching out to the power of the people in the wider apple community.
I have read in other forums about ifunbox and other programs for jail broken iPhones to isolate folders “iTunesDB” and "iTunesCDB" and delete them. If this is the issue is there a way to access these files through windows explorer as my iphone is not jailbroken.
I hope I have provided enough information and someone can help me fix this issue. If I have left anything out, please let me know. I thank everyone in advance for your patience and support.

I have done a complete uninstall and re install of iTunes and all related apple programs from my laptop through control panel, add remove programs and also by going through program files and deleting all tracers of any left over folders remove programs may have missed.

Premiere Pro is not reading all of the video content in my AVCHD clip. I know this because my computer plays all of the content through Preview, so the information is on the card. How do I get Premiere to read all of the content?
First, AVCHD isn't just "one" clip, it splits the video & audio into several files each per clip, typically with randomly generated names. The only way they "play" correctly is if the software doing so is able to read from the data file ...in a different folder ... the information that X clip is actually A, B, D, #@, and 456 video clips and TR, #r54, and ert$%4 audio clips. The next "clip" is ... and on and on. So both rapid access to the video files AND that database file are necessary to play the files back, or do anything else with them.
VLC is a fairly decent but simple playback tool. It's nowhere near as complicated nor demanding in its "relationship" with those clips as an NLE like PrPro, which will be trying to do more reading & writing.
Further, many of the preferences in PrPro are natively set so that it writes project, cache, preview, & database files next to the footage. So ... if it doesn't have both a fast enough connection with the data AND space for putting all of it's own stuff there, it tells you it can't work the file.
Therefore ... the need to have the complete data from the card in the exact same folder structure it was in ON the card copied to a "local" hard drive.

How to read contents of files that do not fall under public security group?
Hi,
I need to read the contents of a WCM based xml file that does not fall under public security.
The process is like this:
First the user makes chnages to the content.
The workflow will be triggred based on the security group metadata that is associated with the content.
Once the content is finally approved our workflow calls a custom idoc script.
First we tried directly reading the xml contents from the idoc script which was still in the context of workflow. But since content item is still in workflow I was not able to read the changes. So I created a separate content publisher thread and read the DOC_INFO and checked for the dStatus value. If the value is RELEASED then I reading contents by calling ssIncludeXml idoc script.
This was working fine for public content. But now the requirement is that all content cannot be public. Content authors should not be able to edit the content that does not belong to their group, So we created security groups (and roles) and are associating that groups to the relavent content.
Beacuse of this change I am not not able to read the non public content. The call to DOC_INFO_BY_NAME service, which gives all the content files' metadata, is expecting the user to be logged in to give the details.
I tried calling the CHECKIN service with sysadmin and captured the cookies returned by that service and use cookies for the DOC_INFO_BY_NAME service call. But the service call was faling. It is throing the 401 forbidden error with the message that user needs to be logged in to get the details.
How to address this problem. Someone please help.
Note: I also tried using ridc for this. I was able to get it working but since it is executing in the context of server ridc api is changing server's environment properties like HTTP_HOST, HTTP_CGIPATHROOT etc. It also seemed like system was becoming non functional after using ridc. When I called check-in the system metadata values like security group are no more loading. Not sure if ridc is the culprit here but worried that it might be causing this issue.

PratapSorry, I posted too much details while posting this question. I was saying "not able to read *non* public content".
Anyway, I was able to resolve the issue. I was able to authenticate with sysadmin credentials in the request to service using basic authentication and was able to read doc info with that credential.
But I realized there is more than option for reading secure content.
- I could set user name as sysadmin in the m_environment (if I am in the context of a service) and the call the DOC_INFO_BY_NAME service.
- I can post an HTTP request to DOC_INFO_BY_NAME service with sysadmin credentials and do basic authorization via the connection. (This is what i have done successfully as of now )
- I could add guest role to all security groups with R (read) privileges.
I will look into all options and implement the one which is more apt.

I am not able to Sync. My iPOD classic 80Gb. It tells that as iTunes can not read the contents-restore to factory settings- after restoring – it tells that it can not be restored bcause there are files that are used by other application. My iPOD appears in My Computer in drive H as a mass storage generick volume
Try disabilng the Enable Disk Use option from under the iPod's Summary tab, applying the changes, and seeing if that helps.
Otherwise, temporarily disabling any antivirus, security, firewall, or file indexing software that may be running on your system and then try restoring your iPod again.

Why are my new file contents not read?!

I have a web application with a StartupServlet. In this Servlet my web application is initialised by reading out a file (init.xml) from disk. When the app server has been started and I modified the contents of the init.xml and reload the StartupServlet the new contents are not read. Only the old file contents are visible at the StartupServlet... The init.xml file is read using the ClassLoader.getResouceAsStream();
Could someone please explain to me why the old file contents are read and not the new file contents???

Please read the resource from your servlet using the ServletContext, as follows:
getServletContext().getResourceAsStream("init.xml");
instead of using the servlet's classloader.
This will ensure that you will always read the most recent version of the resource, without having
to reload your servlet.

I did un-install and then re-install per the Adobe recommendations which are what you listed in your reply. The problem remained until I did a MS Windows restore to a restore point a month or so ago. The IE problems vanished. However, now I'm using an outdated and unsupported version that is lower than most of the web pages require for their sites, at least the ones I want to view (they all say I need to upgrade my Flash Player which, when I did, put me in this fix).

HttpClient 4 is not reading gzip content properly

I'm struggling with this issue when trying to handle some data from an Url. The returned content is ok (checked with wireshark), Content-Length header is set correctly too.
I've tried to debug and find the source of this problem, but it's somewhere deep inside the core classes. What may be worth mentioning is that the content length is > 1460 bytes (a single tcp frame) - actually, it's around 6-10 kbytes, so multiple frames will be read before reassembling the http response. Actually, the first frame looks ok everytime (I've inspected the hex dump). The problem comes, like I said before, when multiple tcp frames are required.
Has anyone encountered this problem? It would help a lot, thanks.
ps: no "deflate" encoding is available :(I did a bit of debugging, I can reproduce the problem using the code below. You can copy-paste it and try for yourself.

I tunes keeps telling me that it can not read my phone and it wants me to reset to factory setting there is nothing wrong with my phone and my computer reads the phone. What should I do I already did the restart of the apple mpbile device service.
Do an iCloud-backup, reset the iPhone and restore is from the iCloud-backup.

I learned how to download a ringtone and synching with itunes, could apply it to ringer/text msg tone. After running some errands I went to play soem music from my phone and to my surprise found no music on my phone, and hours ago there was. I plugged phone into PC as usually, itunes pulled as as my settings are, and recieved the message "iTunes cannot read the contents of the iphone....Restore this iPhone to factory settings". Now what!? All my other contacts, call list, text messages, photos are on the phone. Just no music, and itunes cannot read contents when phone is connected. I have a 4S
Is this normal for the songs to be removed from the phone when "sync" is un-checked from itunes?

What is the purpose for un-checking "Sync" under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences?
If you want to sync music and leave your selected music on your iPhone, you need to leave "Sync" checked. The same applies for Podcasts and Photos under the Podcasts and Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences.

Elements 12 organizer shuts down when I try to start. Has worked in the past with no problems. Run win 8.1 on SSD disk. Is there any one who has an idea what`s wrong. Have reinstalled without success, have also installed the trial version of Elements
