Not receiveing Mac App store or iTunes App Store receipt to email for months

I haven't received any receipt from the app store for about 8 months now. I sort of wasn't paying it any mind until I bought several Mac Apps and never recived a receipt for them

You used the same Apple ID to purchase the apps?

Just in case, check your junk mail folder.

I bought a Mac for education last month. However, i did not receive any app gift card. Where can i get it?

The gift card was from Apple and on campus venders. If you bought the Mac from someone else, then you didn't qualify. If you did buy from Apple or an official on campus Apple partner, speak directly to them.

What are the correct mail account settings and more importantly the correct DNS settings
Thank you for any help you may be able to provide

Do not delete the old account yet. sign up for an iCloud account if you haven't.
I understand .mac mail will still come through. Do not delete the old account yet.
You cannot use .mac or MobileMe as type of Account, you have to choose IMAP when setting up, otherwise Mail is hard coded to change imap.mail.me.com to mail.me.com & smtp.mail.me.com to smtp.me.com, no matter what you try to enter.
iCloud Mail setup, do not choose .mac or MobileMe as type, but choose IMAP...
On second step where it asks "Description", it has to be a unique name, but you can still use your email address.
    IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
              •          Server name: imap.mail.me.com
              •          SSL Required: Yes
              •          Port: 993
              •          Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
              •          Password: Your iCloud password
    SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:
              •          Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
              •          SSL Required: Yes
              •          Port: 587
              •          SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
              •          Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
              •          Password: Your iCloud password
Also, you must upgrade your password to meet the new criteria:  8 characters, including upper and lower case and numbers.  If you have an older password that does not meet these criteria, when you try to setup mail on your mac, using all of the IMAP criteria listed above, it will still give a server error message.  Go to   http://appleid.apple.com         then follow directions to change your password, then go back to setting up your mail using the IMAP instructions above.
    Thanks to dpepper...

  • I received a link to a iTune movie trailer in an email.  I clicked on watch now and then play.  I was told I need to download Quick Time, but when I clicked on download, I was told that QT is built into Mac OSX.  My MacBook has OSX Yosemite.

I received a link to a iTune movie trailer in an email.  I clicked on "watch now" and then "play".  I was told I need to download Quick Time, but when I clicked on download, I was told that QT is built into Mac OSX.  How do I get QT to work?

When I hit the play icon the little arrow thing goes all the way over to the end of the file and doesn't play at all.  What gives?
Is this a minimum information puzzle? It is difficult to diagnose a problem long distance when you provide little or no information regarding what actions you are actually taking to export the data or which version of iPhoto you are using. Based on your latest description of how it doesn't work, my best guess is that you are exporting a single frame from your video clip rather than the "Original" file. This is easily checked by opening the file in QT and simply pressing the left/right arrow keys. If the file only contains a single frame, then your export work flow is at fault. Please select the "File > Original" (or similar) option in the export menu to export the entire file in whatever version of iPhoto you are using..

I can not instal some apps on my iPad. For example Dolphin browser. the icone of this app is not activated. Help Help help!

As Johnathan has written yes apps for iPhone will work in the iPad, however there is a '+' mark on the icon you touch or click for download which indicates both iPhone AND iPad apps. Those apps will display perfectly for the iPad.

  • I can no longer send emails from my mac yahoo business account, but can send them directly from yahoo. just not from mac mail. I've been able to send emails perfectly fine until today. Help!

I can no longer send emails from my mac yahoo business account, but can send them directly from yahoo. just not from mac mail. I've been able to send emails perfectly fine until today. I've been on the phone with yahoo mail and they've verified that my account settings are correct and I can send email from yahoo. I can receive emails via Mac mail, but just can't send them. An error message appears that says:
"Sending the message content to the server failed." I can't send emails from my Mac desktop, iphone or ipad. Any suggestions! Help! I'm a Mac rookie and so frustrated! Thanks.

Please read and begin using Can receive email, but not send email. I had a similar issue with Comcast mail (could receive by not send) and found my answer in this letter. For me it took resetting the outgoing mail and telling the system to use a password when sending outgoing mail. If you need help with that please advise and I'll tell you where to look.

Where are you trying to create it?
Go to appleid.apple.com and create it there.   Type the country name in the space and a dropdown should appear. Nigeria is clearly available there.

  • I did not find mac app on my mac

I tried to download mountin lion but i could not find the Mac App Store on my mac! I need it very argent

The Mac App Store did not appear until Mac OS X 10.6.6. You will first need to upgrade your computer to Mac OS X 10.6.8 before you will then have access to the Mac App Store and be able to purchase Mountain Lion. If you have an online Apple Store in your country, call them and ask if they still have copies of 10.6 for sale. If not, then you'll have to look to private sellers. Make sure you get the retail disk set (white label with the picture of a snow leopard on it), not the disk set from another model of Mac (grey label) which will not work and is not licensed for such use.
Before you decide, review the system requirements for Mountain Lion to be sure your Mac can run it:

  • Not receiving a gift sent via iTunes.  What do we do?

My girlfriend gifted me an album through iTunes, but I'm not receiving it.  What do we do?  We're both located in the US.

    Hello DyramBlade,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with the gifted album.  I am sure you are eager to listen to the album, and I have a couple of suggestions to resolve this.
First, I recommend having your girlfriend resend the gifted album using the steps in the following article:
    Resend iTunes Gifts
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1541
If you are still not receiving the gifted album, I recommend reporting the issue to the iTunes Store using the steps in the article below:

  • Email receipt not received from Apple Store.

Before Christmas, I bought a Macbook Pro from Apple Store in Chicago but have not received the receipt by email as promised.  I'm not in Chicago anymore so I can't go back to the store.  Can anyone suggest how to get a receipt?
    Thanks

Assuming you've checked any spam filters to make sure the email wasn't trapped, all I can suggest is for you to call them and ask for the receipt to be resent.
    Regards.

  • Not receiving iMessages after attempting to link accounts by adding additional email address.

I tried to link my daughters iMessages (iPod) to my account (iPhone). On my iphone I went to settings/ messages/ send and receive/ add another email. I was told that I could not add her email address and was directed to 'cancel' or 'remove email address'. I chose to remove it and was told that 'you will no longer be able to receive iMessages from (email address) on any device. Foolishly I continued and now she is not receiving her messages. How can I get them back?

Go to Settings>Messages>Send and Receive and sign out of your ID and then sign in again.

  • Since upgrading to IOS7.0.3 i have been having issues with my emails.  My phone used to keep historical emails for months in the inbox provided I didnt exceed the mesage limit set, not it purges my emails so it only retains 2-3 days at most.

Help - I need to retain more than 2-3 days of email for work.  There used to be functionaility on settings to enaure I retained alot of my emails, I cant find this functionality anywhere anymore

What type of account is this, POP, IMAP, Exchange? If Exchange, one of the options is to determine the number of mail days to sync. The setting may have changed, but you can set it to 1-3 days, 1-2 weeks, or 1 month. POP accounts do not have this function at all, and I don't have an IMAP account, so I cannot confirm that. Does this answer your question?

Read this whole message before doing anything.
    Back up all data.
Quit the App Store application if it’s running.
    Step 1
Hold down the option key and select
    Go ▹ Library
from the Finder menu bar. Delete the following items from the Library folder (some may not exist):
    Caches/com.apple.appstore
    Cookies/com.apple.appstore.plist - corrupt
Leave the Library folder open. Try the App Store again. If it works now, stop here. Close the Library folder.
    Step 2
If you still have problems, quit again. Go back to the Finder and move the following items from the open Library folder to the Desktop:
    Cookies/com.apple.appstore.plist
    Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist
Again, some may not exist. Test. If the App Store now works, delete the files you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, quit again. Put back the files you moved, overwriting the newer ones that may have been created in their place, and continue.
    Step 3
Log out, log in, and try again.
