my phone is currently installed with developer preview. now i cannot update it to the cyan

when i went through ur link i found that, cyan update is under testing for telstra.... how can i find whether my phone is telstra or not.

Lumia 810 not receiving Black update?

I find it rather odd that the Lumia 810 will not be getting the Black update and have also heard that Nokia is no longer supporting additional updates to this phone.. If this info is incorrect please let me know.. I am stuck with this Pile of **bleep** and my carrier will not replace it with the 925 even though I am on phone number 6 and all have had the same issues such as calls dropping, the Wifi not working, bluetooth being crackly, not getting service in areas where I should have full bars. Until couple days ago I was an owner of an 810 (loved it) and was abandoned by T-Mobile. If dropping support for a phone less than a year after selling it is "uncarrier", then give me a real carrier any day.
So, in protest, I did some research and decided to switch to AT&T. Your options for Win phone on T-Mo are the 521 and 925. AT&T also has the 925, so I compared the two carriers.
A 925 on T-Mo will cost you $480. Then the plan is $50 + $10/mo for 2.5GB data. JUMP adds another $10 for a total of $70/mo with the option for a new phone in 6 months.
A Nokia Lumia 925 on AT&T cost me $330 at my local AT&T corporate store. I got a $200 switchers credit, plus they gave me $100 to trade in my beloved 810. So the 925 cost me $30 in the end. AT&Ts Next12 plan is $45/mo -$15 credit = $30, plus $40/mo for 1GB data (enough for me). Again, that's $30 for a brand new 925, then $70/mo with the option for a new phone in 12 Months. Not exactly apples to apples, but close enough. And AT&T has better network coverage.
Bye T-Mobile and your poor customer loyalty.

AT&T Amber Update Lumia 920

I was the first person in my state to have a white 920. It was the only one available according to the rep, to the dismay of everyone in line behind me. (I was first in line at the store ) I have been amazingly pleased with the updates, in both speed of release and quality. Up til now.
My girlfriend liked my phone so much that she bought the 928 when it came out for verizon. But she has received the Amber update. Its been about a month since she has updated her phone to Amber but according to AT&T, its still waiting for approval!!!
I understand that it is up to the carrier to release the update, but it is leading me to believe that either AT&T is dropping priority of Windows Phone or something isnt right with the update. They used to roll out updates almost immediately. I know i'm being impatient, but it is already early September, the latest that we were supposed to get the update. It is almost mid September.
What's the hold up? Is Nokia fixing issues that were causing problems on AT&T's network, or is the priority of WP slipping?

It is September 27,and AT&T still has not released the Amber update. This isn't news to anybody waiting for the update, but I want to state the facts. Nokia released a statement that all Lumia handsets would receive the update by September 30th, which gives big blue 3 more days to release the update before stated timeframe expires. It also give Nokia 3 days to address any possible issues with the update that might delay the release further. At this point, I continue to hold out hope that one or the other occurs.
However, if neither the update is released by AT&T, nor another public statement is issued by Nokia regarding delays by the 30th of September, you will start to see posts on every public forum and social media available slamming BOTH companies for not supporting their customers.
These are the facts.
If anyone from Nokia or AT&T cares to respond, consider this a formal request.

No, in the official Windows Phone 8.1 update currently rolling out Cortana is available in the US only. In the currently available Developer Preview which is further along (it's the GDR1 update) China and UK are added as supported and some regions, including India, have an opt-in for an alpha release of Cortana for that region.
As all this is not for an official release version we can't discuss the how and where here, I suggest you try Google or other appropriate Microsoft resources to find out more.

Problems in updating Lumia 920 and installing apps

I have had problems with the new (approx. 1 month old) Lumia 920. In the beginning (bout 2 weeks) everything worked fine. Then started synchronization problems with MS account. I was some how able to fix these problems, even they renewed. I thought that the Black update would fix the problems, but the phone did not istalled the update. It started to download the update, but after dowloading 20-50 % of the update the download crashed with some error code. I also had problems to install some apps. App was downloaded to the phone, but duringthe installation the process crashed and reported some error. After one week of trying different kinds of tricks to get the update and installation of apps working I decided to reset the phone to original setting i.e. hard reset. The reset cycle went through fine. i was able to set the MS account and synchronization was working, got e-mail and contacts to the phone. Still the update does not work and now I can not install any apps to the phone. There are over 20 updates waiting, but always the result is the same. App is downloaded to the phone, but during installation the process crashes. I have tried different connections WiFi and mobile data and done the soft reset every now and then. Is there still something I can do myself to try the fix the problem or should I just take the phone to the Nokia Care.

I would recommend you to check your device thoroughly by Nokia Care Technical team or get it replaced because the problems you have described, unluckily it is a defective device.

HERE Drive Beta with Traffic updates Lumia 920

Why can't i use Traffic updates in the HERE Drive + Beta..?? How can see the traffic info while using the navigation on my Lumia 920..?? i had this with my Nokia N8...

I recently got the update to Here Drive+ Beta and now have Here Drive+ with My Commutes. I think the possiblities are fantastic with the My Commutes feature but so far in the Dallas, TX area whenever I start My Commutes is always says "Couldn't update traffic" I have uninstalled and reinstalled the application but it will not show me any traffic updates during my communte.
I recently discovered that if I put the app in 2d mode it will show me traffic updates but as soon as I start My Commutes the traffic information disappears.
Is anyone else experiencing this same issue?

No, you have misunderstood the email. It says you will be able to select and send messages to multiple people, not select multiple people in contacts.

Hello people, just entering this forum in order to get some info regarding 1020. I've bought one in February 14th and has been the best phone I've ever had (and I've had many, including iPhone 5). With every update I started to feel Microsoft Mobile really cares for customer satisfaction.

With the imminent launch of Lumia Cyan, I've seen many awesome features will be available, like Living Images, continuous autofocus, and so on, ONLY for Lumia 1520, Icon and 930.
Had Camera Beta installed in my 1020 and Living Images was working perfectly, but today, the official Nokia Camera updated and didn't bring any of this.
I can understand many of these updates require powerful hardware in order to not compromise stability, but HEY! remember 1020 is powered with a Dual Core Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon running at 1,5Ghz with 2GB of RAM, I mean, I think this is enough for carrying out some of these features...
When I read about the updates not coming for my device I started thinking that maybe there is going to be a 1020 specific update with exclusive features for the camera (like maybe a faster capturing speed). Now I seriously doubt it, and since the Cyan updates will be at first only for the mentioned devices, I'm starting to feel like my phone is like a shame compared to the new ones. I'm feeling like when Apple released the iPhone 5c dropping down the 5's price.
At least M Mobile didn't make my phone unusable...

no worries mate. i for one do like the 1020 as it does take some fantastic photos. I know that really Nokia Camera is only a placeholder until the full Lumia Cyan update is delivered in the summer, so will see what features are brought to the table then. i am sure that if the hardware supported it, they would add the features then to the 1020. as it stands, other things such as Dolby audio recording will stand specific to others like the 930 and 1520 simply due to the hardware required. but nothing beats a xenon flash for me

Router not receiving RIP updates from PIX

I am working on a customer site. The customer has a Core router (L3 blade in a switch. That router routes to all subinterfaces (VLAN's).
There is a default route Statically configured on the Core to one of 2 egress PIX's.
I am trying to configure the PIX's to multicast their default route in to Core so that the Core router will update its routing table.
I know I have the PIX's configured correctly because I have captured the traffic in sniffer using RIP filter.
What I see no evidence of is the Core router ever receiving any updates. I have enalbed debug ip rip on the Core, but it will not output anything. When I check the routing table on the core, it does not have any rip updates..
What do I need to do to ensure that the Core Router is getting the RIP updates???

How does your RIP statements on PIX look like ?
rip inside default ? -> broadcasts default route.
Also check what versions are configured on both ends.

TMobile Cyan Update Lumia 925

Does anyone know why TMoble hasn't yet received the Cyan update? All AT&T phones have been updated, but nothing for TMobile. I'm told TMobile sells more Windows phones than any other US carrier. Seems weird that TMobile customers should get the short end of the stick when updates from Nokia come around. I'd simply install the developer update, but I don't want to void my warranty and miss the rest of the firmware update.

The Cyan came with a lot of issues for some carriers phones and bad firmware problems. Just be patient until Microsoft get all the bugs out for your carrier.

Droid razr m not receiving Ota update kitkat

as the title says, my Droid Razr M will not update even trying the Motorola update manager software on Windows 8. Does it have to be an active phone on your account to receive the update? I miss the little thing but can't use it unless it runs KitKat.

That is the reason.
You will not receive an alert on your iPhone that an update is available since you can't install an iOS update direct on an iPhone with iOS 4. There are no updates for iOS 4 after 4.3.
You need to install iOS 6 on your iPhone with iTunes on your computer. After doing so, you will be able to install iOS updates direct on your iPhone and receive notification on the iPhone that an iOS update is available.

Can send SMS but not receive after update...

After updating my iPhone 4S to ios6 i have problems with receiving messages.I can send SMS but not receive. What to do?

Although I don't believe in consequences, I think this might be one of them. My email was working fine until I installed my VPN. I use the Thunderbird email application, which I like a lot, for three Hotmail accounts and two Yahoo accounts. After installing the VPN I could receive mail but could not send it on any of my accounts. I contacted the VPN and they sent me some numeric IP Addresses to put in my account settings. One for the Hotmail accounts and one for the Yahoo accounts. I did as instructed and the email seemed to work okay. It was late in the evening and I went to bed. The next morning, I could send and receive emails on the Yahoo accounts, but could only send emails on all of the Hotmail accounts.
I guess I'd like to know if anyone else is having this same problem. I'd hate to think it was just me. :-)
I would like for Thunderbird to tell me if there is a way to change the outgoing server in the Account Settings, so I can enter the IP Address in there, or does the fact that I entered an IP Address in the Server Name box, cause it to override any other entries? Or should that even make a difference with me receiving mail?
Also, at what time limit does Thunderbird send back a message that the connection to the server timed out? I continually get that message.
I found a way to do a ping on the Hotmail server and the fastest response time for the last two days was 258.09 which seems very slow for a business computer. At least for a business that wants to stay in business. So is that time above the Thunderbird threshold of the connection time out message to be generated?

Vibration not working [under warranty] Lumia 920

Hi,
I have a lumia 920 and my vibration doesn't work and also i have my glass broked (touch works perfectly), but vibration started not working a lot of time after that accident.
An employee of the Nokia service center told me that my problem of vibration is not covered under warranty because the glass is broken. On the internet it says that the vibration's problem is a manufacturing error.
I think is fair that the problem of vibration since it is proven to be a manufacturing defect will be fixed under warranty! Am I wrong?

The problem is that the service centre has no way of knowing that the vibration issue occurred before you broke the glass. Most manufacturers will declare a warranty void when there are signs of physical damage.
All you can really so is discuss it further with the service centre or contact Nokia directly in your country and submit a complaint.
