Not receiving email on computer but I am on my blackberry

Hi all, this is my first post here.
About a month ago I got a new blackberry 7130e and I used pocketmac software to get my computer and it to talk. I was receiving email on it as well as on my computer like normal but about 4 days ago I stopped receiving it on my computer. Every once in a while one gets through to the computer but all of them seem to get through to the blackberry.
I haven't changed anything in mail. I can send emails fine. I have preferences set to remove from server after a week. I use comcast for my isp and Verizon for my phone. Any ideas? Thanks a lot for any help.

Wackman, welcome to the discussions. I do not use a Blackberry, but have had a similar issue with my handheld before. You said that you have emails set to delete from the server after a week. Is this on both the Mac AND the Blackberry? The behaviour you are describing, given Blackberry's Push email capacity, is that messages are being sent the Blackberry immediately and being deleted from the server by the handheld, hence being nonexistent next time your Mac connects to your email server and looks for mail.

  • Not receiving emails on desktop but ok on Iphone

    Hi all,
Don't know if I've posted this to the right forum - could go into the Iphone, or applications but here goes.
I'd be really grateful if someone could tell me why some of the messages are not arriving to my Mail on my Imac, but they all come in on my Iphone.
I've set up dedicated IP numbers for both the Imac and the Iphone, as originally it was automatically finding the IP address. It has worked for a while, but now, I'm having the same problem.
    thanks,
    Robin

You may have better luck re-posting in the Mail and Address Book forum. Because Mail is part of OS X you will find it by clicking Apple Support Communities then typing Snow Leopard. Once you are in the Snow Leopard forum you can narrow the search by clicking Refine This List where you will see post's related to Mail and Address Book.

  • I can send but not receive email

Hello All. I know this is a highly posted topic but I cannot find a solution. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Basic Problem- I can send but not receive email.
My ISP is. Yahoo SBC Global
    I have a 3rd party email provider: 1and1.com
I have set my preferences according to the specifications of 1and1.com
The error I get is this: The server error encountered was: The attempt to read data from the server "pop.1and.com" failed.
I have a Macbook Pro, running 10.4.9. My account with the 3rd party email provider is new and only has 1 or two emails in the account. I know this because I can log on via the internet and use their website to check the emails in the inbox. So the "email" address is working. I just can't get it to forward to my laptop.
I'm wondering if it has something to do with port 110 being blocked by my ISP. But I really don't think they are blocking that port. Due to the fact that my previous computer was a dell, and I used a similar 3rd party provider to email, the account used port 110 and things worked fine.
    Thanks to all.

    Ok. I've got it working.
All I did was delete my account information from the preferences. Before, I was editing it.
I entered a completely new POP account and it started working. I have a hard time believing that I entered information incorrectly prior to this because I checked it, rechecked it had a friend check it and it all looked OK. I was copy and pasting information anyway.
However, once I deleted and re- entered a brand new account, it worked fine.
Ernie, thanks for replying to my emails! I appreciate it.

  • Receiving emails on iphone but not on laptop...

    Hey
My Iphone seems to almost be 'stealing' emails from my computer so much that they can only be accessed on the phone - it didn't do this initially, only recently, and it doesn't do it with one of my two accounts and only with selected emails in my default account.
Also, when I tried to access the emails on iphone, it says 'message could not be downloaded from the server' and there is a particularly important email which I can only read the 5 previewed lines of in the inbox as it isn't appearing in Windows Mail.
    Any help???

    Hi Jemina13,
One thing you might also want to check out is your spam settings.
The iphone does not have a spam filter.
If you updated your antivirus or spam filter on your computer this might cause the issue that your are explaining about misc email not downloading to the computer but shows on the iphone.
Now the issue about the content of this message not available for download, could be a pop3 issue as suggested by m.bode. When the iphone initially receives an email, it just downloads the header. Then when you tap on the email, it downloads the body of the email. If the iphone has downloaded the header of the email, but the computer has downloaded and erased the message of the server, there is nothing left on the email server for the iphone to download. So, when you tap on the email to view it, you get the error message you explained.
    Hope this helps.

  • E6 (Belle) - Phone can sent but not receive emails

    Hello,
I have set up a 2nd mailbox. The first mailbox functions fine. But with the second mailbox I can send, but not receive emails.
Has anybody an idea how to solve that?
    Many thanks

One more try.   The problem here is that I don't have hands-on experience with Belle.  Some backtracking...  I assume that
    1) Your firmware is up to date.
    2) Even manually syncing email doesn't work.
    3) You are not seeing any error messages that would help us track down the problem.
I did a web search, and found other Belle users complaining about Gmail support, but mostly that push doesn't work reliably.  Manually syncing (or polling every X minutes) still does.  It's a long thread, but you might want to read http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Messaging-Email-Browsing-and/E-mail-doesn-t-sync-automatically-after... in case any comments help you.
If none of that helps, try enabling logging.  Within Nokia Email, I have a logging option under Settings -> Global Settings -> Log Output.  It writes at least two files to Phone Memory -> Logs.  In my case, one file logged only GUI calls...and so was useless, and the other file was always empty.  (A third file applied only to Mail For Exchange.)  But give it a try and check the files later for references to Gmail or IMAP.  Read them from a computer if that helps, and then post any relevant portions here.  Also turn off logging when you're finished.
    Again, good luck!

  • My Mac is not receiving emails, but my iPhone receives emails. How can I fix this?

I have a MacBook Pro Retina with OS X Yosemite 10.10.2. I recently tried to send a large file through the iCloud email drop. The email stayed in my outbox for a day and made my email app extremely slow. The email never sent, so I deleted the email from my outbox and restarted the program. Now, my email is no longer receiving any emails. The same email account on my iPhone receives emails, but my Mac email program will not receive emails. I've restarted the program and the Mac, but nothing has resolved the problem. Any suggestions???

You may have a corrupt preference. Mail - Preferences - Accounts - click the offending account and re-enter all prefereneces. Also you can use Apple's OS X Mail: Troubleshooting sending and receiving email messages located at:

  • When I had my old blackberry connected to my computer, all incoming emails were routed to my outlook so I did not get mails on my blackberry.  How do I get it so my iphone4 does not receive emails when connected to my computer?

I am getting my iphone inbox bombarded so would like it to not receive emails when connected to my computer.  My old blackberry had an app that took care of this which worked really well.  Am wondering if I can do the same with my iphone4.

Blackberries were/are able to do that with some types of e-mail accounts because the mail is routed to an intermediary (BlackBerry Service).
There is no equivalent for the iPhone as the phone communicates directly with the mail servers and does not go through a 3rd party.

  • Mail not receiving emails but sending them ok. It says updated at 11:28 but that was six hours ago and it won't update.

my Mail is not receiving on my iPad but is sending fine.  Emails are sent and received fine on my iPhone and when accessing the account directly through safari.  It says updated at 11:28 but that was six hours ago and it is stuck there.
i have tried restarting multiple times  with no luck.

Have you tried signing out of your Mail account and then back in again?
    Cheers,

Why can i not receive email with my icloud account but I can send it out only

    Hi Nortarian,
The article below will walk you through the troubleshooting steps for email on your iPad:
iOS: Unable to send or receive email
If you are unable to send or receive email, try the following steps:
    Restart the iOS device.
Tap Safari and attempt to load a webpage to ensure that the device has Internet access. If you're unable to load a webpage, try the Wi-Fi assistant.
    Try an alternative Internet connection.
If your email is provided by your Internet provider, try connecting from the home network.
If your iOS device has an active cellular data plan, try to disable Wi-Fi:  Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn off Wi-Fi.
If not, try a different Wi-Fi network.
Log in to your email provider's website to ensure that the account is active and the password is correct.
Delete the account from Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and then add the email account again on the iOS device.
    Hope this helps ....

  • Windows live does not receive emails

Windows Live works fine on my family computer.
Windows Live does not receive emails from my btinternet account on my laptop any more (it sends ok I think)
This happened in March. After talking to someone in India the other day who suggested that my laptop did not have enough RAM (not so), I eventually managed to uninstall WLive, reinstalled, then used the automatic set up on BT and called the account a new name. IT WORKED...all my emails turned up on Windows Live. Then it STOPPED WORKING again.
I honestly cannot fathom this. Any ideas????
(I have just tried using the automatic set up again, using the same account name, but it just says that the account already exists).
    Errors are in essence:
    0x800CCC90
    ERR inactivity timeout
    WLive error 0x800420CD
    WLive mail error 0x800CCC0F
I got the automatic tester to test email account, but no fault found.
All suggestions gratefully received. I had no luck last time I tried on this Forum, but giving it another go.

    Hi.
I personally never let the "system" set up email automatically, it doesn't always get the servers or ports correct.
However, what you could try is to login to webmail in case there is a stuck/corrupt email in the Inbox. You can move them to a temporary online folder and retry Windows Mail. If that works, you can try moving one email at a time into the webmail Inbox.
Do you keep all the emails on the server by the way ?
