Not receiving iCloud verification e-mail

Hello everyone,
I recently purchased a new iPad Air2 and the only problem I'm having is setting up my iCloud account. I set up the username/password but when I request a verification e-mail it doesn't arrive. I've checked my junk/spam mail folders and I've been receiving other emails from Apple, so I know it's not a communication issue. The requests were done through icloud.com, over the iPad settings, and through the iCloud client I downloaded onto my computer. Is there a way to fix this situation? Thanks!

Make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account and that the account can receive email.  If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.  If it never arrives, try contacting the Apple account security team for your country and ask for assistance: Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security.  The call should be free.  If your country isn't listed, contact iTunes store support by filling out this form: https://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html.

Not receiving icloud verification email, have checked spam etc..phone is just saying account not verified, the address was linked to my husbands account but has been removed, prior to this it was saying it was already in use.
If i change to an old address it works fine but all my apple equipment uses a current googlemail address and dont want numerous ids
My itunes account/icloud account only shows this address, albeit on icloud its not verified
My husbands accounts dont have this address anywhere
Where is the verification mail going????

All...sorted so thought i owed it to you all to update...
As suggested on numerous sites it was in my spam folder....but because i am using googlemail it was in the Googlemail Spam on my phone and online google account, the spam wasnt getting to my outlook account (where i was looking for it!!!)
As soon as i opened it there they were all 38 verification emails !!!!!

  • I am not receiving iCloud verification mails

I cant receive a mail to verify my iCloud accts, tried from my iPhone, iPad, and Mac, any suggestions?

I managed to resolve mine last night - and all I had to do was go to manage my Apple ID - click edit - put a new e-mail address in that I wanted to associate - this time it will actually send a verification e-mail to that new address - follow the link sent - and boom - everything worked.  You could go back and put your original one in - but I chose to stay with the new one.  All my music, apps, previous purchases are all still there.  This is the fix.  It was instantaneous after hours of frustration.

  • Not receiving a verification e-mail

Hello! I recently got a new MacBook Pro w/ Retina display and am trying to set up my iCloud account with the device. When I put in my password in through iCloud in the settings, it tells me that a verification e-mail has been sent to me. I have tried resending it a dozen times and I keep checking my e-mail but nothing is coming through. I have no idea what else to try? Hopefully someone can help? Thank you!

Make sure you check the primary email address associated with the ID, and that you check both the inbox and junk/spam folders.  If it isn't there, you may need to contact the email provider to make sure they aren't blocking messages from [email protected]  There's more details on troubleshooting this issue here: If you didn't receive your Apple ID verification or reset email.

  • HT204053 not receiving icloud verification email

Can anyone help - this is driving me mad.  I want to set up icloud form my mac and iphone but I am not receiving the email and yes I have checked junk/spam folders....

Make sure you are checking the primary email account you used to set up the Apple ID you are using for iCloud.  If you still can't find it, you can try resending it by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

If you're not receiving the email to your rescue email address (and you've checked the spam folder on the account as well as the inbox and tried clicking the reset link again), then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

  • Why do I not receive iCloud e-mails when there is a specific group of "To:" addresses in the body of an e-mail

I noticed this when I started my iCloud e-mail account a few months ago. I am not receiving iCloud e-mails when there is a specific group of "To:" addresses in the body of an e-mail. I can receive the e-mail on my outlook & local cable providor e-mail accounts with all of the addresses listed. If I strip out the "To:" addresses and send it from my local cable providor e-mail account to my iCloud e-mail account than I will receive the e-mail in my iCloud account (minus all of the "To:" addresses that are in the body of the e-mail. This has caused me to miss a lot of e-mails.
Following is one of the e-mail that I can send from my cable providor account and not receive it in iCloud. If I strip out all of the "To:" addresses I will receive it in iCloud. I have a case open with Apple but it is not going anywhere. This occurs from multiple sending internet service providors (ISP's) so I think it's an Apple iCloud e-mail processing issue.

I've been having a very similar problem to what ziemsen describes, for about a week now. The Mail app has stopped delivering new messages to the Inbox, even though I can view the newly incoming messages on the server via Webmail. I am able to send email through Mail with this email account, and as for the other email accounts that I have on Mail (which are also hosted by the same server), I am able to both receive and send email with no problem.
None of the mail settings have been changed, so how this happened all of a sudden is very puzzling. I have checked Account Info on the problem account - Mail recognizes that there are messages that are on the server yet to be downloaded, but it won't download them.
I've checked what other users have suggested here in the Discussions Forum, and tried: 1) deleting the problem Mail account from Mail and re-adding it; 2) creating a new machine User account and setting up Mail with that User; 3) setting up Mail on another machine; 4) archiving and re-installing OS, and even 5) wiping the HD entirely and reinstalling the OS. None of these have worked.
Ernie, your suggestion of deleting the MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded file sounded like the solution to the problem, so I just tried it - but to no avail. Mail delivers messages that are on the server to my Inbox up until the same point that it always stops at, and there are almost 1000 new messages since then.
I am pretty lost at this point - I have no idea what else I can possibly do to resolve this problem. The strange thing is, when I tested my email accounts on Microsoft Entourage and Mozilla Thunderbird, they don't have this problem - both deliver all of my incoming mail. I may have no choice but to switch to one or the other at this point, but I'm attached to Mail and would really like to continue using it if I can. Any advice would be much much appreciated.
    very best,

  • I am not receiving the validation e-mail to enable me to validate my iCloud account, any ideas why?

I am not receiving the validation e-mail to enable me to validate my iCloud account,  I have resent the e-mail a dozen times and checked the address but I receive nothing, any ideas why?

Check your email account's SPAM folder - I use YahooMail and theirs is VERY effective, but sometimes thinks legitimate emails qualify - SOME Apple emails are often affected

  • I am not receiving the verification email when trying to add an email account

I am not receiving the verification email when trying to add an email account to facetime and iMessage. Is there something else I can do?

    Hi,
I don't ever remember getting an email when Adding an account.
Apple seems to verify it some other way (a self test to see if it is valid ? an actual email ?)
I tried adding an older @mac.com account that is not a valid email (gained when MobileMe was the Apple service and the @Mac.com registration was used for iChat names).
I then tried  to add a Yahoo one.
This got past the first part and said an email has been sent.
As you say this has never arrived.
( checked the web Site for Yahoo Mail as well as my Mail App.)
In each case I also checked the Spam and Junk folders in both places.
I then tried an iCloud ID.
(FaceTime seems to treat the Original Apple ID and the iCloud issued email as separate IDs)
I did not get and email (Although it said it was sent) I did get a Pop up for the FaceTime app asking if I wanted to add an email and a second for the actual email itself.  (It turned out it added an @me.com email also issued by iCloud before the @icloud.com was issued.
This is much the way iMessages adds emails when you add the emails to  an iPhone, the Mac version gets pop ups.
I recently had something similar in Messages that might be related.
In Messages 7 (Mountain Lion) it seemed it could be any Apple ID that was used.
In Messages 8 it seems this has to be an iCloud linked one.
The @mac.com one I used above could not be added to iMessages either when I tried it about two months ago.
It might be one I have removed the creating/Recovery email so that i could create another Apple ID.
The name continues to work in Messages as an AIM valid screen name but I could not add it as the iMessages account and got sent to iCloud to "register" it but ran into problems that I have not sorted out yet.
    EDIT.
Checked the Apple ID site and the @mac.com email I used has no linked Alternative/recovery email.

  • I'm not receiving my verification email to verify Apple ID. How do I get it?

I guess this isn't a Mac book technical question but maybe someone can help me out. I'm trying to set up Icloud and it's asking me for my apple ID username and password which I know is correct. It then says that an email is being sent to verify but the email never comes. It is definately the right email adress because I just recieved an email today from Apple. Any suggestions?

I'm also not receiving email verification's from apple , so are not able to download any apps or access accounts ,obviously i'm not the only one with this problem, so come on apple get it sorted as it is really frustrating
and it seams to be a problem on your side.

Try checking your spam or junk mail folders.
    Try logging into https://appleid.apple.com/
Are you able to login or recover information using the forgot account link?

  • I am trying to create my Apple ID, but not receiving the verification link from Apple,. I get the email but NOT the link,. any suggestions

I am trying to create my Apple ID, but not receiving the verification link from Apple,. I get the email but NOT the link,. I have triple checked my email address and all Apple account info, all of which are correct. Any suggestions?

Where are you trying to create it?
Go to appleid.apple.com and create it there.   Type the country name in the space and a dropdown should appear. Nigeria is clearly available there.
