Not receiving imessage from a specific number

I recently switched my Iphone 5 to a Iphone 6, & between one specific Iphone user & I, Imessage doesn't seem to work. I've messaged other Iphone users & Imessage works between us. I want Imessage to work between I & said user that it is giving me problems with,

Comcast Security Assurance manages email system security and should be able to help you with this. Call them at 1-888-565-4329 (from http://constantguard.comcast.net/dedicated-support/). They will probably want to know the IP address(es) and/or host name(s) of the sending email server(s).
The first-line reps at CSA are sometimes not so helpful. If so, be persistent, and keep at them until you get a satisfactory answer.

    Hi,
    I'm having problems with not receiving emails from one specific domain @youmail.dk. It hasn't been an issue earlier, but I stopped receiving the emails late last year. For all I know this is the only domain there's a problem with - I don't have any problems with any other random domain.
    There is no rules or anything like that set up, so I have no idea what the problem could be... There's no "failure to deliver" notification send to the sender either.
    It doesn't matter if I check iCloud online, on my MacBook or iPhone...
    Can anyone help me?

    Hmm, that is strange that your phone number is greyed out. There are a few things that we can try. First would be to turn iMessages off, then back on. See if you are able to select your phone number. Then if that doesn't work, turn iMessages back off, then reset the network settings....settings>general>reset>reset network settings, this will reboot the phone. Don't worry, it won't delete anything from the phone, it simulates a battery pull. Once the device comes back on, then turn iMessages back on. Keep us posted if that works!

    For some reason, I cannot receive email from a specific sender. I can send it to her, if she sends it back, I do not receive it.
    If she sent to four people, and I was one of them, I won't receive email but others will and if the others try to forward that email
    to me, I won't receive it but I will receive separate emals from them. Why is this?

    Have you checked you junk folder on the computer. Also, check spam folders at your email provider's website. Also check any settings that may exclude this sender.
    If the sender in your Address Book. Make sure they are so they will be excluded from junk filtering.
    Also, check any rules that could delete or junk message from this sender or content it may contain.

    That just sounds like the mail headers. Most people don't know (or care) about them so they're usually hidden.
    Check Mail -> Preferences -> Viewing -> Show header detail
    I'm guessing it's set to 'All'. Switch it to 'Default' or None as you prefer.

    Since moving to iOS 6 I have found that other iphone users are unable to send an iMessage to my phone number. If a message is sent to my email address, it appears on all my divices. If sent to my phone number, it goes nowhere so I am receiving SMS messages from other iphone users or their send is failing altogether. Even though I have set it up on my ipad to do so, iMessages sent to my phone number aren't coming up there either. I have tried a hard reset of the phone and turning imessage off, then on again.

    You must define a port.
    And you can also choose to receive messages from only one particular phone number (but again, only thru the defined port).

    What happens is on a random basis, my iPhone 4 dials a computer shop (I think) and yet they seem to be calling me. I have restored the iOS and have the same problem.

  • IPhone won't receive emails from one specific person

    My iPhone 4S will not receive emails from one specific person.
    It sends and receives emails from anyone else ok, I can send emails to this person with out problem, but it will not receive them.
    If I check my webmail it is there, but it won't download to my phone? If I forward their email to myself from the web the forwarded one will be there, but not their original?
    I receive emails from others in the organisation ok. And it used to receive them all ok, on about December 27th it stopped?
    Anyone have any ideas on why this has happened and what I can do to fix it.

    She did have a 1 in front of the number, however she deleted it and the texts still aren't going through. Any idea what else it could be?
    EDIT: Spoke too soon, just came through. It was just liek 20 minutes delayed.

    After upgrading to iOS 8 my iPhone 5s is not receiving iMessages from the rest of the family. My phone shows up green instead of blue on the other phones. I have tried all kinds of resets, turning off/on iMessages, etc. Nothing has worked so far. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    To my knowledge, I've only seen this for imessage only and not SMS.
    The other users would need to have send read receipts enabled on their phone.

  • How can I permanently delete an old phone number from my 'receive iMessage from' list?

    I have just got a new contract and iPhone. I wanted to get rid of my old number because of people hassling me on it. However I can still receive iMessages through my old number even though I have a brand new phone and SIM card! I have de-selected it on the 'receive from' list, but I want to permanently delete the number for a fresh start. I have logged into my icloud account on apple but as I didn't actually register the previous device with apple there seems to be no option to remove it. can anyone help? Why can I not just swipe and delete this number!!! Ridiculous! So much for a fresh start   just turning the option off isn't the same.

  • Not receiving texts from one number

    As of Saturday, between the time of 4:00pm and 4:30, my phone decided to not receive texts from one number, which is an AT&T number.  It was working before, and ever since then, it hasnt been able to receive texts from said number or send them to the number.  I havent been able to get texts from the number either, and we both dont know why.
    The thing is, I am getting texts perfectly fine from everyone else that I usually text.
    I cant figure out if the number is blocked, because I am not the main owner of the family plan that I am on.

    It's strange that you are having text imessaging issues with one contact. I use text messaging all the time and I am here to help!  Do you have issues sending or receiving text messages to anyone else? Can you send and receive picture messages from this contact? Are you using a 3rd party messaging app? If so, please uninstall and trying using the stock messaging app. Which device are you using? Did you make sure the account owner didn't have this number blocked? Did the contact check with AT&T to see if your number is blocked? Please answer these questions so I can resolve this issue for you.
