Not receiving mail from AOL

I am not receiving mail from AOL users ( PC's or Mac's ) I do not have an AOL account. Verizon DSL is my service, their tech. support does not see anything wrong. When I send from Apple mail the Mac user does not receive the mail, nor a message as to an error. The PC has received my Apple mail, but I have not received mail from them, also no error message to me. Thank you.
iMac Power Mac 6,3   Mac OS X (10.4.6)   Power PC G4 (3.3) Upgraded from Panther

Have you checked is these messages are available at the server via webmail access for your Verizon email account?
If these messages are not available at the server when checking the account via webmail access, this is either an AOL or Verizon problem.
Regarding sending messages, try sending a message via webmail access to the same Mac user.

  • Not receiving email from AOL

Hi - About a week ago I stopped receiving email from AOL on my i5s phone.  Only thing I can think of is I changed my password on AOL, I tried changing it on my phone too, but I get the following message.  "Cannot Get Mail  The mail server "imap.aol.com" is not responding.  Verify that you have entered the correct account info in Mail settins."  I have tried deleting the account on my phone and adding it again, nothing.  Have tried changing my password on AOL and on AOL mail account on the settings page, no luck.  Any ideas?  Help please.

  • Mac Mail not receiving mail from certain sender

I'm having trouble receiving mail from a certain sender. I verified that they have my correct email address and I don't think it's getting filtered as junk because my junk mail folder is empty. Is there anything else that could be causing this? Any help would be appreciated.

  • Not receiving mails from certain email addresses

I am sending & receiving the majority or my mails without any problems but there are a few email address from which I am being sent mails that I am not receiving. They are not being notified that I am not receiving the mails either.
Could they be blocked on Mobile me? How can I unblock these addresses and retrieve the mail?
    Thanks,

Yep, that's very typcial of mail from lists...
In Outlook open the message, click on File/Properties, and you'll see a box labled "Internet Headers".  I usually copy that out and paste it to Notepad to make it easier to read...
You'll find that there are different addresses in the vairous headers.
This is NORMAL for some types of list mail.

  • Not receiving mail from people with gmail accounts

Has anyone run into a situation where they stopped receiving e-mails from contacts with gmail accounts? I seem to get mail from all other mail providers, just not gmail - sending messages to gmail contacts also doesn't seem to be working. All was fine up until about 2 weeks ago.
    Any ideas?

If IMAP for your GMail is still not working correctly, then setup a new email account under Settings > Mail,.... > Add Account > Microsoft Exchange.
    Then enter the following
    Email: your GMail address
    Domain: Leave blank
    Username: your GMail address
    Password: your GMail password
Description: Up to you what you enter here.
    Click Next
    Server: m.google.com
Click Next and now you can select what services you wish to sync with your iPod.
    Mail: On
    Contacts: Up to you
    Calendars: Up to you.
You should have your GMail account backup and running, on your iPod.

  • Not receiving mail from Gmail

I have two email accounts, so that one is not flooded with subscriptions all the time. One is with roadrunner and the other with Gmail. My roadrunner account is working just fine, but my Gmail account won't receive the mail. I haven't tried to send anything with it (no need). They both were working fine for the first several weeks but now they're not. I haven't changed anything, and it's not like I've always had this problem. It's only come up recently. However, I do receive the messages from Gmail when I go on my computer. Any ideas?

If IMAP for your GMail is still not working correctly, then setup a new email account under Settings > Mail,.... > Add Account > Microsoft Exchange.
    Then enter the following
    Email: your GMail address
    Domain: Leave blank

  • HT203528 Not receiving mail from certain email address

hi looking for help here I have 2 email address that where put in the junk but are not , I moved the email address to the inbox but then they stopped even coming threw to the junk?... I then thought if I made up a rule to go to a certain folder for this email address I would be happy with this but even this doesn't work and it's taking some times 4-5 hours for me to revive this email address , the server at there end is fine as they send this email to a group and my hotnail account recives it instantly

Any error message provided and if so, what?
Are the message headers available in your account's Inbox mailbox and when selecting a message to view it, the content is not shown?
Is your account a POP or IMAP account?

  • Not receiving email from one domain

    Hi,
I am running Exchange 2003 on Windows Server 2003 SP2 and suddenly starting having the problem of not receiving mail from one domain.  All other domains seem to be fine, although seem slower to receive mail than normal.  The sender of the domain in question does not receive any NDR or bounce back error messages, so they are none the wiser the mail has come through.  I have checked the junk/spam, I don't have any filters which could be blocking the domain.
    Any ideas??
    Thanks

    Hi,
Please enable the protocol log on SMTP virtual server to check whether the remote domain has attempted to connect to your exchange server to send email to you.
If the remote domain has attempted to connect to your exchange server, please check whether the message is received by the SMTP server. If the message has been received, please use the message tracking log or queue viewer to check whether the message stuck on the server.
If the message is rejected, you can use protocol log to gather further information.
If the remote domain does not attempt to connect to your exchange server, I think you need to work with the remote domain admin regarding the issue as other domains are able to send email to you with no problem.
    Mike

  • AOL not Receiving mail

I have used AOL on both Edge and WiFi without any problems until I (upgraded?) to iPhone fix. I have tried Reseting, Erasing, and manually putting in my information and I still get
The connection to the outgoing server "smtp.aol.com" failed
I am able to receive mail with AOL and all other accounts ( Home, and GMail ) work fine both sending and receiving.
Has anyone else had this problem and been able to fix it?

Well, my goodness. I guess it wouldn't have been a bad ideal to read what I was about to post. The problem was with sending and not receiving as the subject states.
    Thank you for responding.
I now have solved the problem and it appears to have been a problem with AOL and not with the iPhone. More of a coincidence than any thing else. This is part of the learning curve that goes with a new device.
