Not receiving or able to send any text messages

I have only had my phone for a month and about a week ago I stopped being able to send or recieved any text messages. When I view my bill with AT&T it shows that I have sent and recieved them but I have not. Any suggestions of how to resolve this?

Why am I not receiving or able to send media texts?

My data is on and I have 188/200 MB left.

Media Text service was working just fine before factory reset.
When I made a factory reset on my phone (fixing my camera, glitches, and my non-responsive alarms, this was the best option), I was able to send and receive pictures in my texts. It's now been two weeks and my ticket hasn't been answered, nor has the problem fixed itself. I've tried many solutions, and resorted to asking people on the internet, all of them not helping me one bit. I'm tired of paying for a service I'm not receiving... help me out, please.
I've tried turning it off and on again.
I've turned data off then back on.
I've removed SIM card and re-inserted it.
I've had a representative do work on their end.

Consult your carrier about SMS/MMS if they're properly provision.

I dont thik its his IPOD as his account on our family IMac is also not receiving or sending messages. Does anyone know what might be wrong?

Has he tried connecting to a different network?

general: memory full. close some applications and try again.
I erased all my messages in my inbox and in sent messages. I even deleted some applications to my phone. And my phone memory and memory card are not also full.
please... i really need help...

3G Setting - not able to send SMS text messages

I have a £GS iphone. Can anyone explain why my SMS messages fail to send if the 3G setting is enabled but it will send when 3G is disabled. It makes no difference whether I have a strong 3G signal or none at all.

I suggest contacting your carrier. I don't believe this is an iPhone problem since you are able to send SMS when connected via EDGE or when 3G network access is off. Although technically data, SMS is exchanged over the same network as calls - not via the carrier's data or internet network.

Unless you have recently restored the device from a backup it might be best, if possible, to try to back up to a different computer, otherwise yes backup anyway. There is normally only one rolling backup for each device until the backup is used to restore. Backing up to multiple machines would give you a chance to restore the current state, or your most recent backup if that fails.

is this an IMAP mail account? If so
Tools menu (alt+T) > account settings > server settings and set expunge on exit.

My iPhone 4S won't let me send any text messages, I can see the recent ones but when I go to type back the screen goes off and it goes back to the home screen?

I have had my iPhone 4S for a while and it's worked perfectly. Messages were going through fine and everything. I went on this morning as I had a text from someone. I opened the text and the screen just went back to the homepage. It has never done this before so I tried opening it again. The same happened again. I opened a recent text and I can read the old messages fine, it's just as soon as I click to message/text them back it just goes off.
I tried with Facebook mailing and the same happens, it just goes off. And when I go on safari and try and type something in it goes off.
I don't know what to do. I have tried turning it off and on and that didn't work. I have tried resetting network connections and I just don't know what to do. I am currently trying to software update to the iOS 7.0.4 to see if that has anything do with it. As before I clicked to text the person back a carrier question came up and it has come up before, could that have something to do with it?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore. Try each of these in order until the issue goes away.

I was receiving texts as of yesterday but today when I try to send a text it tells me message failed would I like to try again. I received a text this morning but can not reply to it. It isn't blocked because I tried sending a text to myself and that won't work either.

Both of yall need to go to settings, meassages, send and recieve, scroll down to start new conversation from, and make sure you have different email addresses with a check mark beside it. Right now sounds like they are the same email addresses.

Have your brother create a contact in his phone for himself. Inside his own contact, have him add his phone number and his iCloud address.
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive Have your brother select both his phone number and email addresses where he would like to receive iMessages.
