Not receiving texts after new update

I've just updated to lollipop on my Xperia Z1 Compact and have just realised no texts are coming in. I've just checked with a friend and they're receiving my texts but not vice versa. I've been using a text messenging app called Textra which is all working fine other than the main issue of not getting text messages.
I've then tried to look at and hopefully use the original default messenger. It doesn't open just has a white screen with 'Messenger' at the top, so it then tells me it's not responding. Hope that's enough information, not sure what to do at the moment.

Not receiving texts after buying iPad

Hi
After buying an iPad my incoming texts kept going to the iPad. I turned iMessage off the iPad as it's at home in use by other family members when I'm out. I then stopped receiving texts or the texts I did receive had removed the contacts name and left the number so I had no idea who they were from. After reading your forum I turned I message back on the iPad, still no texts and the missing texts not showing. I'm not sure what to do next, shall I just disable I message from both iPhone and iPad and not bother with it? I don't want messages going to my iPad only my phone.
This is causing issues as I receive texts regarding work and arrived at work to a huge issue I had no idea about due to not receiving the texts the night before. Suggestions would be much appreciated

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with iMessage on your iPad and iPhone.
It sounds like you prefer not to receive messages on your iPad, so I recommend leaving iMessage off in Settings > Messages on the iPad.

Next, I recommend the following steps to troubleshoot iMessage on your iPhone:
To resolve issues with sending and receiving iMessages, follow these steps first
Check iMessage system status for current service issues.
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and make sure that you have registered iMessage with your phone number or Apple ID and that you have selected iMessage for use. Learn more about troubleshooting iMessage registration if the phone number or Apple ID isn't available for use.
Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify data connectivity. Learn more about troubleshootingcellular data or a Wi-Fi connection if a data connection isn't available.
iMessage over cellular data might not be available while on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn more about which network your phone supports. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on to use iMessage while on a call if your network doesn't support simultaneous data and voice calls.
Restart your device.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
If you are still unable to send or receive an iMessage, follow these steps
Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
Verify that the contact you are attempting to send a message to is registered with iMessage.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.

Not receiving iMessages after i updated my iphone 4 to iOS 7

Once i updated my iphone to the new ios 7 update, i haven't been able to receieve any imessages after i updated it. But I was able to read them on my ipad, but i couldn't recieve them on my iphone.

Most likely the iphone was hacked to unlock it from the original carrier
updating the iOS will relock a hacked iPhone to that Carrier

Droid Razr will not power on after new update.

I have the Droid Razr and attempted to download the new update this morning. My phone has powered down and will not power back on. I have done the forced re-start several times & nothing. The phone starts to power-up and turns right back off. My phone was fully charged before I attempted to install the update.

Try holding power + vol up and vol down keys simultaneously (all at the same time). It should bring you to the bootloader menu, use volume down to go to recovery, press volume up to select it. An android lying on his back will appear, press the volume up and down keys at the same time, hold for about 5 seconds and release. Scroll down to wipe data factory reset, use the power button to select it, it will go back to the main menu, scroll down to wipe cache, back to main menu and restart device. If that doesn't work, try Verizon support on the phone and/or bring it in to your local Verizon store.

Not receiving texts on new phone.

So I recently, about a week ago, switched from an iPhone 4 to an HTC One. I can send texts to my friends/family with iPhones, but I cannot get messages back from them. Sometimes I get the message, sometimes I do not. I was told to remove the iphone from my apple account and it would stop iMessage so I could receive texts, but that has not worked. What do I do now?

Messaging to other iPhone users is not working after ios7 upgrade. I receive them on my ipad but not phone. I have a 4s. I have followed all suggested troubleshooting and still not working! Any ideas?

The same issue I had for an iPhone4.
During iOS7 upgrade connection to iCloud was always failing so after many retries I skipped it thinking it can be done later when upgrade has been completed.
But no. I am wrong.
Even connection to apple store is no longer possible after I signed out and tried to sign in again. Getting error about failed to contact server.
I was trying since last night 10 hours ago and trying again now for many times with no success.

Xperia Z1 can not send/receive MMS after Lollipop update, is anyone else having this issue. Any ideas on what I can do to restore MMS?

MMS need a data plan, there are certain carriers/networks that allow MMS to be sent w/o a data plan to their branded/locked phones, you will have to contact your carrier/network regarding this.
Is your phone braded or was it branded? did you flashed lollipop ?

Turn off iMessage in your phones settings. Apple devices can only use iMessage to other Apple devices.
Turning off iMessage will allow the messages to go as regular text messages.

Nokia 5800 not receiving texts problem!

Hi guys Bought the Nokia 5800 about 2 weeks ago and all has been fine with it until recently.....
Ive done no modifications of upgrades or played about with any of the settings..
But now for some reason im not receiving text messages when they are sent??
The only way I can get them is by either sending one, turning my phone off then back on or by going into message settings and selecting view sim messages then the message will pop up....
But I have to do this everytime which is quite annoying! I can do everything else fine....send messages, ring people receive calls etc.
Ive rang vodaphone and 5 times they have fobbed me off with different things to try and none have worked....Ive tried the hard reset and still nothing!
Is anybody else having this problem, or does anyone know a solution to fix it?

I haved the same problem and I think I solved it, and it works (right now and hopefully also in future).
I have 5800XM with latest firmware upgrade - V30.0.011
THIS IS NOT NEEDED BUT USEFULL
Connect your phone (with phone battery loaded on full) to PC. Make backup of your phone data. Menu START, Nokia, Nokia Ovi, Content Copier
If you have V20 or V21... *#0000# - select this combination as a phone number to check what version do you have. If you have V20 you can update firmware to V21 via NSU (Nokia Software Updater). All international language versions beside English are corrupt (last week I checked, maybe something changed) so better use English version because it's always latest, fresh etc. ALWAYS read what NSU talk to you on the screen.
If you have already V21, update to V30 you can do only from phone. You must have access to stable WIFI connection (because file to download is something like 5MB size) and phone battery loaded on full. I'm using Polish language so I don't know how it's named in English but... Press middle button twice, go to Preferences, go to Phone and find icon with arrow ("Phone management" or something like that) then phone icon with arrow straight down - this is responsible for firmware update.
THIS IS IMPORTANT IF YOU ARE AFTER FIRMWARE UPDATE (OR IF YOU HAVE BASIC FIRMARE VERSION) AND DON'T GET NEW MESSAGE INDICATION AND/OR NEW SMS SOUND INDICATION
Press middle button twice, go to Preferences, go to Phone and find icon with arrow - "Phone management" or something like that, then pure phone icon - "Factory settings" or something like that. Some window arrive, click OK. This is not hardcore format, you don't loose anything.
After this operation you will have "clean screen" like straight from factory, so if you haved before little "tuned" screen and overall phone (added phonebook contacts from SIM card, selected wallpaper, different profile etc.)... you know what to do - tune it again. ;PP
I tested it. On different profiles (General, Outside - one hella loud profile on 5800 speakers, better don't use it rooms where silent is needed xD), with upcoming sms when screen was active, with upcoming sms when screen was locked - indication works with the sound!
Turning on/off phone registry logging (incoming/outgoing connections, sms etc.) got nothing to do with solving this problem.
Have hope it helps someone... This is for 5800 but what I see also other Nokia models have the same problem so maybe other users find this post usefull too.

Im having the same problem, I updated my Iphone 4S to 6.1.3, shortly after that my phone had no audio. It was working fine one minute and then stopped. Was listening to music when sound gave out on me. It wont ring, phone just vibrates even after turning off vibration option. I've tried all the options listed and nothing. My phone has never been jailbroken either. If I connect the earphones is works perfectly. On one of my last calls received, phone's ringtone was heard for about 2 seconds before muting and just vibrating. Ringtone sounded perfect, speakers did not sound damaged.
What else could be done? I've read several post regarding this and it seems like Apple has no solution to this yet. Very dissappointed.

Does it not show the presence of a wifi signal, or just not connect?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

Aluminum Wireless Keyboard not working properly after Firmware update 1.1

Hi,
Well, as the subject says, my keyboard is not working properly after I updated the firmware. The problem is that several keys (delete, down arrow, brackets and apostrophe) stopped working right after I installed the update. I never dropped it or hit it. And I did not stop or interrupt or did anything during the install. I take very good care of it.
I have already tried toubleshooting with the support page, restarting the iMac, taking off the batteries, setting it up with bluetooth again, going back a week with time machine and to reinstall the firmware. So, if you have something new for me to try, I will really apreciate it.

I have 24" iMac with the Apple wireless M&KB - I know this is basic but have you tried a fresh set of batteries? My KB will refuse to establish connection when batteries are on the weak side the firmware update may just be a co incidents. If your wireless mouse is working OK then I would guess the blue tooth is functioning.
Not sure about the 10.49 download - are your other file downloads completing properly? Are there any error messages?
