Not recieving Alerts from Digital life

I've sent my digital life to send me a text and email when the system loses AC power and restores power. the programs are there and when you run them manually they work. However when we actually lose power I never get notified. This only started happening after the system had an update. Anyone else have this problem or know how to get it fixed.

Not recieving at all. I've had technicians out to my house, tier two has been engaged, and nothing has been fixed. the only text alert I get, is when I turn my house alarm off. I set up automated action and syslog.log shows the message. But still i couldn't recieve alerts from Nexus 1000v switches indicating ESX host is online or offline. I was able to recieve these alerts before. But failed to receive thos recently. What can be the reason. If it helps the SyslogCollector Status shows lots of invalid messages. I am not sure if those are messages that do not confirm to standard syslog messaging format.

Currently there is not a way to change the the binding type of portgroup. It is always set to "static binding"

iMessage uses data not your messaging plan. You need to have either Wi-Fi or cellular data turned on to use iMessage

TS4268 I just traded in my iPhone for a Samsung and I am not recieving messages from other iPhone users. I think I need to remove my phone number from iMessaging but I am not sure how to.

Not Recieving Emails from a Certain Emails Address

Hi All,
I am having trouble with my account where I can't recieve emails from [email protected] which I have sent out to people who are members of my website. It seems to be affecting BT email addresses as my dad cant recieve them and he has a BT Email address too. It stop about a month ago then started working, but in the last week or so it doesnt seem to be getting them again. I know that there is nothing wrong with the mails as I have sent them as a reminder. I have been sending them to myself recently just to check if they are going through or not.
Any Help would be great.

Even though the "system" says sent, it doesn't actually mean that the mail servers have actually managed to send. When you say "they think if could be BT's end" - have they checked their systems thoroughly ?
Some mailing list systems are notorious for being treated as spam sending systems, and the emails could actually be prevented entering end user ISPs altogether by higher order anti-spam filters, such as Spamhaus etc. The end user would then not even see them in their online Spam folder.
If all other emails are being received as expected, then it seems to point at the originating end - even if users on other non BT ISPs are receiving those emails.

Not recieving texts from Iphone users

Just signed up with Verizon and got my new LG G2 but I'm unable to receive or send messages to IPhone users. I've already tried downloading the Verizon messages app and done a factory reset on my phone. Not sure what else to try here. I've never owned an IPhone so the deregister of Imessage does no good. Any Ideas??

Is this your first cell phone ever? If not, were you able to receive texts from iPhone users on your previous cell phone(s)?
Have you inquired with your contacts what color of bubble is around the text messages they are sending you? If it is blue, they are attempting to send it as an iMessage and think your phone is an iPhone. If it is green, they are attempting to send it as a text.
As Snn5 has stated, there is a setting in iMessages which much be turned on to send messages as SMS/MMS if iMessage is unavailable. It is possible that this is not set such that a SMS/MMS can be sent.
Do you not receive texts from ANY iPhones or do messages from some iPhones get thru?

Not recieved reciept from itunes since Feb 2010

I havent recieved an email reciept from itunse since 6 Feb 2010.
I know that free apps etc do not come with reciepts. but I have spent more than £200 on music and movies and apps and recieved no receipts at all.
Help??

Hello,
You should check in iTunes (in your account) and see if the purchase is indicated there. If yes, someone used your account to buy it, if no it's a scam and you can mark it as spam and delete it.
And never click on a link in a suspect email, type directly the URL in your browser or go to your account in iTunes.

Two iPhones with one email account, notes and alerts from separate users show up on each others phones

My husband and I have always shared a personal email account. We got iPhones a year ago and each set them up to view our shared email. He also has a separate email account for work. Unfortunately, when either of us takes a "note" on the notepad or sets an alert on the calendar, it shows up on the other person's phone. I assume these aps use the email to sync? Is there a way to manage this so that we can share email but not the other stuff? We set up separate iCloud accounts with separate apple ID's thinking that would do it but it didn't change anything.

goto settings>mail,contacts,calenders>accounts and under your shared email account disable notes and calender.

IPhoto does not play movies from digital camera

When transfering photos and movies to iPhoto, the movies are not playing in iPhoto.

I am using iPhoto '09 v8.1.2 and QuickTime Player 10.0 on Snow Leopard 10.6.3
I deleted QuickTime 7 Pro after upgrading to Snow Leopard.
My digital camera is a Pentax Optio S6 that creates movies in the MPEG-4 format. The ending of the movie file after transfer to the Mac is .avi
What Codec do I need? Or should I reinstall QuickTime 7 Pro?

Not recieveing email from certain domains

Hi,
I am having trouble getting to the bottom of an issue which I have had for a couple of weeks now.
We are unable to receive email from certain domains. The big problem is our sister company no one on there domain is unable to send to any party on our domain, this has only just started happening this morning, however email delivery form other domains has
been problematic for about two weeks now. We are receiving plenty of email form other parties still.
Our sister company is not getting any bounce backs and I have checked the message tracking within Exchange 2008 and I am unable to see any email come in at all from our sister company.
It is worth mentioning that the host of our domain is having a number of issues with "Nameserver" when I check on intodns.com and I'm not to sure if this is the problem or not, however we are currently in the process of transferring away form
them and setup with the same host as our sister company. The transfer hasn't happened yet as our current host hasn't released the tags.
Has anyone got any ideas that can help please??

What's the path from the sister company to your company?
Is it direct? Or does incoming email first transit through some online spam filtering service (like Postini).
Can the sister company connect using telnet?

Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.0 not showing alerts from switch

Hello,
I have a prime infrastructure 2.0 running at a customer place and the customer now complains that he is not receiving link up/down messages from the switch. When i checked I have seen that if I shut down a port in the switch the prime identifies after a long time, but its not generating an alarm still. How can I fine tune the prime to fix this issue. Please help on this.

Same problem here.
I am using Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.0 (evaluation version for 60 days). I want to deploy port monitoring for my trunk ports between switches and some other important ports e.g. servers. Basically I want to get alarms when these ports are down, there are errors on ports and etc.
So in Design>Port Grouping I created User Defined group with important ports. In Deploy>Monitoring Deployment I selected Interface Health (default)>Deploy selected Port Groups and when selected port group I created.
Now the rule shows Deployed: Yes and Status: Active. After that I just pulled out one port which was in monitored group, waited 5min as it is set in Interface Health (default) template, and nothing happened, and worse, alarms started to show up of other ports where regular users are connected (computers was turned off), which I do not want to see at all. I tried redeploy template, I even created my own template but still no desired result.
Any suggestions how to make port monitoring work?

Since it is affecting all your devices also, try going to the e-mail web site and seeing if you can log in there. Who is the e-mail provider?
Try deleting the pass word from Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access.
If that doesn't work, try deleting and adding back the e-mail account.
