Not recognizing 64-bit installation

itunes keeps saying i cannot sync my phone with my itunes account because I need to install the 64-bit version of itunes. But i have uninstalled and reinstalled the software multiple times and it is the 64-bit version that i am installing.

I'm having the same issue. Did you get any type of resolution to it?

    Which disc are you installing from?  Also did you just purchase Premiere Elements 10 or did you buy the bundle which includes Photoshop Elements 10?

  • Nano not recognized by ipod installer or itunes

    Received a reburbed ipod for fathers day without software, dead battery so plugged it in to charge (bad idea)before any apple software was on my XP sp2 computer, computer found it as a harddrive disk, i deleted all folders as the music was not my desire(another bad thing).
    ipod installer will not find. I am in a USB 2.0 port, I have re-formatted the device to be fat32. the ipod nano will not reboot holding the keys down, everytime I connect it shows the zzz's and computer finds as a harddrive only. I have installed/uninstalled itunes and ipod installer a few times, no success with issue. Currently I reinstalled only the ipod installer.
    What shall I do? Also, my serial number shows that warranty service is left on it, it does not have a hold key but a on/off switch older model perhaps?
    I am thinking that I must have deleted something on the harddrive to help the ipod installer identify it. I believe the ipod is probably fine, just unsure about why the restore keys for 6 sec thing doesnt work

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
    Try right clicking the iPod in My Computer and go to format? Does anything happen? Did you already do this?
    Is the software currently installed and up to date?
    iTunes
    iPod Updater
    Update iPod's Software
    Does the iPod work fine when not connected to the computer?

  • Audigy 2 NX USB not recognized by creative installation

    Hello
    I am Swiss, please excuse my ugly english ;-)
    I have troubles with installation of the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX Software. It cannot find my working audigy 2 nx on USB. My System is:
    * Windows XP 5..2600 SP 2 Build 2600
    * AMD 93 Mhz, GB RAM
    * NVIDIA nForce On Board (deactivated)
    * USB 2.0
    * x HD on Firewire
    * x Wlan HW on USB
    * x Printer on USB
    When I tuned on the Audigy 2 NX the first time, Windows XP found the USB Audio Device and installed a generic driver. I was not able to cancel it as suggested in the "quick start" manual, MS has changed that behaviour.
    I was able to update the driver and Windows XP found the Creative Driver on the cd. So now I have a working Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX. I see the device on the device manager and also in the "systeminformation" it is found in the usb and audio tree.
    But ... I am not able to install the Software "Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX", the installer tells me: "Setup cannot find any Sound Blaster USB Audio Card on my System" (the message is in german). Very interesting is also the creative flash software, that tries to register my programm. It finds my Audigy 2 NX but at the same time an error message comes up with "File Error: Cannot find SETUPX.DLL"
    I already deinstalled everything, tried again with the installation, and so on and so on.
    Why can /audio/Setup/Setup.exe on the Creative CD not find the Audigy 2 NX? I would like to install all other software as well. Thank you very much for any help or suggestions.
    Greetings from Switzerland :-)
    Andreas
    BTW: I wrote to the helpdesk as well, just got an autoanswer, nothing else.

    Update: I've got mail from the german helpdesk yesterday. I should start CTZAPXX.EXE from the installation-CD (/audio/drivers), reboot the system and start the installation from the cd again. Unfortunately it didn't work, starting CTZAPXX.EXE doesn't do anything (just got the sandglass for a short while).
    I informed the helpdesk of that behaviour, as well as I updated the device and xp found the creative usb driver and the device seems to work. Only Creative is not able to find the device and I cannot use the Creative Software.
    I also tried to install the update "AUDX_WEBUP_LA__00_000.exe" but the installer just tells me to use w2k or higher, I have xp sp2 ... I also tried "SBDX_WEBUP_PCWDRV_03222.exe" from creative support, the installer can't find any creative device :-(
    BTW: The driver xp is using for the audio is "c:\windows\system32\drivers\sbusb.sys" Version 5.2.0.93 by Creative.
    Don't know what to do more. I hope the german helpdesk has a solution (or somebody from the forum?).

  • Presentation Designer 2011 SP4 Setup Not Recognizing 32-Bit Microsoft Excel 2013

    I have 32-bit Microsoft Office Excel (with 2013 office suite) installed.  When I try to install the SAP Crystal Presentation Design 2011 software, the setup prerequisite check is stating that I am missing Microsoft Office Excel (XP or higher) 32-bit.
    How do I install Crystal Reports Presentation Designer without having to use Microsoft Excel 2003?
    Does anyone know when (estimated guess) Crystal Reports Presentation Designer is scheduled to fully support 2013?

    Hi,
    You have to use SAP Crystal Dashboard Design 2013 which does support MS Office 2013, but I've read that it is not great, so I would not recommend it and to use MS Office 2010 if you can.

  • Tascam US-122 not recognized after Leopard installation

    Nothing is recognizing my Tascam US-122 since I upgraded to Leopard. I've looked for updated drivers at the Tascam site and I couldn't find anything referring to the US-122. I found drivers for the US-122L, but not the one I've got.
    Any ideas. It's a drag not being able to use Garageband.

    I believe I've solved my own problem finally, although I can't tell for sure without waking my wife.
    I kept nosing around the TASCAM site and I finally figured out how to find more recent drivers. They have an option for "Resources" which I take to mean drivers, documentation and such, but whenever I tried to enter a choice in their pop-up, I was taken to a dead page.
    But.
    On the lower right margin of that page was an option to go to "Legacy". This lead my to a US-122 page and I found more recent drivers and installed them. Now I can see my US-122 in Preferences->Sound.
    I'll try launching Garageband in the morning when I can make more sound to be sure.
    You can go directly to the correct page here:

  • Satellite A500 - TV tuner not recognized after updates installation

    I recently ran some updates (Windows 7) for Satellite A500 (PSARA9A). It has an inbuilt tuner & it was working fine until the updates. Now when I go to watch TV or Record it comes up with "No tuner available to satisfy current request".
    I tried to install new driver, but I can't tell if it's doing anything. Device manager tells me the latest drivers are installed, yet it shows yellow exclamation mark.
    Can anyone suggest anything here??

    Thanks for the replies, I appreciate it.
    Still can't get the tuner to work.
    I tried uninstalling it, it then tried to re-install, but failed.
    Yet It tells me latest driver is installed. Still have yellow exclamation mark.
    So decide to do a system restore.
    Tuner still has the same issues & now Windows Media Center won't work either. it's quite frustrating.
    Did a search for media center, which told me to turn it off & then on (in windows features).
    Still not working. So yep, now have 2 issues.
    Any further suggestions on either issue.

  • Intel iMac's HD not recognized by Leopard Installer

    I am trying to install Leopard on an Intel iMac dual core 1.8 MHz, 2 GB RAM. It seems to be running Tiger 10.4.11 just fine. I have successfully updated both a MacPro and MacBook Pro with the same DVD disc. When I start the install process, I get as far as the screen to select my iMac's internal HD and it never appears. If open Leopard's Disk Utility, it sees the HD icon, but not the volume. When I reboot from the Tiger install, the Disk Utility sees it verifies the HD and all permissions are fine.
    There's plenty of space left on the HD (90+ GB) out of 240 GB. I am stumped. Suggestions welcome.

    Hi! See if THIS helps. Tom

  • HP scanner not recognized by MacBook Pro 17" 2010

    New Macbook Pro user (arrived from the factory last week) with OSX 10.6.8. Trying to get my HP scanjet 7400C to work. It's certainly not being recognized. When I look up how to install a scanner in the help it dumps me to the print and fax dialog. No indication in this dialog how to set up or use a scanner. No scan tab. No scanner options at all that I can see.
    How do I install a scanner?

    Hello Jeff,
    I have the same problem trying to connect an HP 7400C Scanner to my MacBook Pro 17" (2011) running Snow Leopard.  I tried downloading the drivers from HP Support Drivers (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=219&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw _lang=&product=59553#N160).  The web page indicates that it supports OS 10.3, but does not identify any later version of OSX that is supported.  When I download that package, it is not recognized as an installable image.
    I am wondering what drivers and support software you downloaded and installed?
    Thanks for your help!

  • IPod Touch is stuck in "connect to iTunes" screen. It is not recognized by iTunes or by my Windows (64-bit) computer.

    I recently purchased a new laptop after my old one ceased to function. Therefore, I had lost ,my old iTunes, and my iPod is no longer authorized by a functioning computer. I downloaded the latest version of iTunes, plugged my iPod in, and tried to install the new iPod Touch software update. I got the error message that the installation had failed, and iTunes automatically ejected my iPod, leaving it in the "connect to iTunes" screen, in which it has been stuck ever since (about 9 days now). I have uninstalled and re-installed iTunes, have rebooted my computer numerous times, I have tried various holdings of the power button and home button as recommended on several help forums, etc. to no avail. I am using a Windows 7 (64-bit) system on a brand new HP Pavilion dm4 laptop with plenty of space and the newest version of iTunes installed. My iPod Touch (3G) is not being recognized by iTunes or by my laptop. I would like to, if possible, restore my iPod to original factory settings so that it can be authorized on my new laptop and will sync approrpiately. Any help anyone can provide will be immensely appreciated. Thank you.
    Also, the iTunes is the version for a 64-bit Windows OS.

    - First I would remove and reinstall all the Apple software using the following and then restoring the ipOd.
    Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
    - Next see if manually placing the iPOd in recovery mode will allow a restore. For recovery mode see:
    iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
    - Next try DFU mode:
    How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - Next try another computer/cable to help determine if you have a computer or iPod problem.
    - If the other computer works and yours does not see:

  • Installation Failure: Audition 3 disk not recognized

    When I place the Audition 3 disk into my CD/DVD drive to install, it whirrs a bit then...nothing.
    When I look at the CD/DVD drive using windows explorer it displays a file view of D: (my CD/DVD drive) with nothing in its file listing. The view of the listing of files thats supposed to be on the CD is a complete blank. I have View hidden files in XP turned on.
    My system:
    Cd/DVD drive by Memorex dvd 16+ dl4rwid2. Drivers are up to date
    Win XP Sp3
    I've tried placing the media in my laptop and it reads the disk ok (but that's a vista machine). So I know the Audition 3 disk seems to be ok.
    Coming back to the XP machine, I have successfully installed many other programs INCLUDING Photoshop, and just yesterday: Illustrator -- all from the same drive. Audio CDs and Video DVDs play no problem. As a matter of fact, I have been able to install the Loopology disk in the Audition 3 package! I've called Adobe support -- they were a big help: "talk to the hardware manufacturer". Sheesh.
    I've even tried to copy the contents of the Audition 3 disk to the desktop usig the DOS prompt but it returns and error "the device is not ready". That's the same error you'd expect to see if there was no media in the drive. So it seems like the system does not recognize the Audition 3 installation disk at all.
    The Audition 3 installation disk is the ONLY disk my system has EVER not been able to read.
    Has anyone else seen this installation behavior with the Memorex dvd 16+ dl4rwid2?
    Any ideas on how to fix this?
    Thanks for the help.
    Mark

    Here is how I solved this. It was really quite simple once I thought through the problem.
    I took the disk to my laptop (which could recognize the disk, but where I did not want to install the app) and copied all the files into a subdir (called it TEMP) on the Laptops desktop. (the disk buzzed/vibrated more than usual during this task, so I guess it was out of balance. That's why it probably failed in my desktop drive)
    Anyway, I then burned the files in the Temp subdir to a blank CD on the laptop...took the newly created CD over to the desktop machine (that was not recognizing the original Audition 3 disk), put the newly created CD into its the desktops drive, and poof...it worked! Installation proceeded normally with the newly created CD.
    Cheers!

  • XP Prof installation on Tecra A9 PTS52E - SATA HDD is not recognized

    Hi all,
    I have a brandnew Tecra A9 (PTS52E) with Vista Business installed. However, I need XP Prof and have a slipstreamed XP-SP2 CD. The SATA Disk is not recognized from XP setup, so I need a 'F6' driver.
    There are a lot of howtos about doing this for the 945 chipset, but I couldn't solve this on my A9 (Mobile 965 Express Chipset). I don't want to buy a USB-Floppydisk drive just for one-time-installation. So I have to build the driver (iastor.sys and more) in the XP setup disc.
    Some problems: there seems to be no easy way to do this, because intel only provides *.inf files for the ICH8R (=RAID) controller, which doesn't exist in the A9. So I have to edit the *.inf files, correct?
    Another thing: I saw in another posting here the discussion about switching from AHCI to compatibility mode in BIOS. I can't find a way to change this setting.
    Aargh, I need this Notebook for my work, on a A8 (which also is mine) I installed XP without any problems.
    Can anyone help?
    Thank you,
    Michael

    Hi,
    now i have a new problem: the last reboot after installation finished leads to bluescreen and immediately reboot (so I can't see the stop-message)
    During installation the reboot from Harddisk works.
    But so far:
    you need the latest Intel Chipset Driver:
    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/T8Clearance.aspx?url=/13499/a08/infinst_autol.exe&agr=N&ProductID=2800&DwnldID=134 99&lang=deu
    Next you must extract the files in a temp directory:
    IATA75 _ENU.exe -a -a -pC:\temp\AHCI
    Now edit the file iaahci.inf:
    you have to change all the ICH8R related entries (R means RAID, which isn't supported in that A9 version of the chipset) to ICH8. Also change the related PCI-device IDs from 0x8086h/0x2821h (Vendor/Device ID) to 0x8086h/0x2824h.
    The best way I think is to copy all ICH8R related sections and replace "ICH8R" with "ICH8" and "2821" with "2824".
    As you need the driver during installation, you also have to change these settings in txtsetup.oem.
    The next steps I found in a ASUS forum (they have similar problems):
    create a new (personalized) installation CD for Windows XP
    STEP 1: Modify the original XP installation files
    a) Copy all the files and directories of the XP installation disk to your hard drive
    Ex: form D:*.* (your installation CD) to C:/XP/*.* (your HD)
    b) Create the following directory path:
    XP\$OEM$\$1\drivers\SATA
    c) Copy all the files of the Intel Matrix Storage Manager (see solution I) to that directory: XP\$OEM$\$1\drivers\SATA
    iaAhci.inf, iaAhci.cat, iaStor.inf, iaStor.cat, iaStor.sys, and TxtSetup.oem.
    d) Copy iaStor.sys to XP\i386 directory
    e) Modify the file TXTSETUP.SIF located at: XP\i386
    => You can read and understand what you are doing reading Adding OEM drivers to Windows Setup at http://www.windowsserverx64.com/CSK/technical_articles/hardware/56.aspx (really nice article form Robert. Thanks)
    Use: notepad.exe to edit it.
    e.1) Under [HardwareIdsDatabase] add the following lines
    right after GenFloppyDisk = "flpydisk"
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2821&CC_0106 = "iaStor"
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2824&CC_0106 = "iaStor"
    and before PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1230 = "intelide",
    Note: dont touch any other line. Be carefull, the name iaStor => is case sensitive.
    e.2) under [SourceDisksFiles] add
    iaStor.sys = 1,,_x,4,1
    Note: There are several [SourceDisksFiles] sections. I added the line in all the existing sections.
    e.3) under [SCSI.Load] add
    iaStor = iastor.sys,4
    e.4) under [SCSI] add
    iaStor = "Intel(R) 82801HEM/HBM SATA AHCI Controller (Mobile ICH8M-E/M)"
    Note: If your controller is a different one, use the right one. Read the contents of the TxtSetup.oem file for more information.
    f) Create a new file called (use notepad) WINNT.SIF and locate it at: XP\i386
    [Data]
    AutoPartition=0
    MsDosInitiated=0
    UnattendedInstall=Yes
    [Unattended]
    UnattendMode=ProvideDefault
    OemPreinstall=Yes
    OemSkipEula=Yes
    NoWaitAfterTextMode=1
    NoWaitAfterGUIMode=1
    WaitForReboot=No
    TargetPath=WINDOWS
    DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore
    OemPnPDriversPath="driversSATA"
    [GuiUnattended]
    OEMSkipWelcome = 1
    [UserData]
    ProductKey=xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx
    FullName=EnterYourName
    OrgName=EnterYourOrgName
    Note: Use your own product key
    Now use a tool to create a bootable CD. I prefer "AutoStreamer" because I also have to slipstream SP2 into my XP Prof. CD.
    With it you generate an iso image. Burn it to disk and that's it.
    Like I've said: installation works well, just the last reboot from disk creates a bluescreen and therefor a bootloop.
    Regards,
    Michael

    I have done a fresh install of Itunes on the laptop which had never had it on there before,
    I have ran the windows troubleshooter, and the Microsoft fix it troubleshooter,
    I have removed all traces of the ipod driver and tried updating,
    I have updated the driver from the itunes folder on my pc,

    My wife even took it to the apple store today and they told me that it is a windows 7 issue. they basically would not do anything for her.
    Funny thing is, after trying everything that was suggested to me online, by those at the apple store, and using my own PC knowledge as I also work in IT, it still does not recognize the driver. So it seems to me that Apple need to get their drivers updated to be compatible.
    I currently have a $400 piece of crap Ipod that I cannot use because apple cannot make a driver that works.
    Anybody that has anything new to suggest, be my guest.

    Illaass,
    It works connected to another apple device. I have TWO windows 7 64 Bit Machines both with widely different configurations, and they both have the same exact issue. This IS a driver issue, that much I agree with apple on. However its not a WINDOWS issue. APPLE makes the driver that is installed with Itunes. That Driver does not work. (As a side note, Apple really should get their head out of their A$$ and come up with better solutions vs telling their customers to restore their windows config. That's straight up BS.)
    JEM24,
    I have done that. I have also taken a PC that had never had any apple software on it and installed itunes on that. Tested, same result.
