Not recognizing dtmf tones on some forwarded calls

We use UCCX 8.5 SU3.  In our script we have a menu step that works 100% of the time when we call our DID directly.  However, when the DID is reached by calling an outside number that forwards to us the menu step is not "hearing" the dtmf tone.  This only happens with certain customers of ours and not all.  I assume there is something different in the way they are forwarding the calls, but I'm not sure what.
Has anyone else had any experience with this?

Do you have a transcoder configured? CUE only supports g711ulaw and you must set the dtmf-relay type to rtp-nte. Make sure your inbound dial-peer has the correct dmtf-relay and if using different dtmf-relay configure a transcoder.

  • Cisco Unity 4.x not recognising DTMF tones from phones

I have cisco call manage 4.x and Unity 4.x . I have set up IVR  but the IVR does not accept DTMF tones. Any suggestions anyone

Go to the Unity tools and you'll find the port status monitor there, open up all ports you have for inbound and then watch the output, if Unity is receiving the DTMFs you'll see the messages and the DTMF it received.
If you don't see any DTMFs messages then most lilely DTMFs are never reaching Unity and the problem is somewhere else.

I am able to use FaceTime but if I am in sleep mode, I do not here the ring of the calling party and hence I can not use FaceTime when I am really required to discuss any important matter.
Why it is so ? What I am missing out ?

Please explain more about the relation to ABAP development.

  • Cant get a ring tone when some one calls or a tone for mymessages

cant get a ring tone when people call same with my messages and i cant hear callers unless i pt it on speaker

I just reread your message and at first I thought you wanted to get ringtones. Now I think you meant you don't hear sounds unless you are on speakerphone. I would try a Restart to seeif it learns your issue. To Restart Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

  • DTMF Tones not working with 7.7.64.103

Hi, I'm trying to dial into a conference call and the keypad tones aren't being sent through from Windows.  I'm running Windows 7. Any suggestions of how to get round this will be gratefully received as it'll cost a fortune to use landlines or mobile phone to dial into the meetings. Thanks, Rachel.

I belive that Skype have broken something at the backend.  See:http://community.skype.com/t5/Windows-desktop-client/Skype-not-generating-DTMF-tones-again/td-p/4073503

  • Does Lync server 2013 send dtmf tones

I am aware that Lync 2010 does not send dtmf tones while on a conference call (outbound)
"AVMCU does not support DTMF in Lync 2010 Server or Office Communications Server 2007 R2"
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2254369
Can someone verify for me if Lync 2013 does? Or if Skype for business will?
We currently use a translator service on outbound, 3-way calls and so using the workaround in 2010 (calling the party that needs the dtmf tones first and then conferencing in the other party) is not ideal nor is it always feasible.
I have been unable to find any information either confirming or denying whether the limitation still exists in 2013/Skype for Business
    Thanks in Advance

Out of curiosity, because I haven't tried this, I started a conference call with Lync 2013, then made an outbound call from the conference to invite a 1-800 number that has me press numbers to navigate a menu.  Pressing the numbers from Lync seemed
to do absolutely nothing.  Pressing the numbers from a cell phone connected to the same conference were actually sent and I was able to navigate using that method.  Seems like it's still a limitation, perhaps so that the DTMF tones are not sent
to all participants in the call unnecessarily.

  • 5th Gen iPod Touch w. iOS 7 not recognized by iTunes 11.1

On Wednesday I updated my 5th gen iPod Touch to iOS 7, and ran the latest iTunes 11.1 update on my MacBook Pro running OS X 10.8.5.
For two days, everything worked fine, but today, when I plug in my fully charged iPod it is not recognized by iTunes.
    Some salient facts:
         1. My iPod shuffle is recognized by iTunes without problem when I plug it in to any USB port on my Mac.
         2. I tried all of Apple's troubleshooting suggestions - restarted iPod and computer, tried connecting to different USB ports on my Mac.
         3. My iPod touch will still charge when plugged in to my Mac.
    Any ideas? Thanks.

I did try all of Apple's troubleshooting suggestions.  It was the cable - Thanks for the tip!
It didn't occur to me to suspect that my still-new, Apple-brand cable went bad the same week Apple released two major software updates.

  • Solution!!! (for iTunes not recognizing Nano)

I've written this as a reply to the thread below as well - but as it seems more than just our friend below has this problem I've also posted this as a separate post
    Hi everybody,
I have - like many of you, suffered through this frustrating process of Windows recognizing the Nano and yet iTunes not recognizing it, and after some research I think I may have found a solution (perhaps not THE solution).
Just so you are aware, I just want to warn you that I'm not some computer science expert or anything, and this is a pretty old article (written May 2006, http://pluralsight.com/blogs/keith/archive/2006/05/26/25476.aspx), BUT I think this works on iTunes 7.0 because it is now detecting my nano. Basically I think what the problem is that the Nano is supposed to be formatted as FAT32 to work with iTunes but for many of us outdated Nano users the Nano is still formatted as FAT.
So like the blog author has written, we need to go and run the Windows disk management tool (if you are not a computer person like I really am not, just go to Windows help and search "disk management" and it'll give you a link that brings you directly there). The disk management tool will probably show the C drive and then the iPod as well as any extraneous hardware. RIGHT CLICK on the iPod (it should be there since all of you are saying that XP recognizes it), format it to FAT32 (it will warn you that info on your ipod may be erased, but this doesn't matter since it's just info on your ipod and your music is on your C drive anyway). I didn't re-run the iPod updater like the blogger did (especially since the iPod updater is apparently included in iTunes 7.0 now and the latest one, which I believe is iPod updater 6-28-06..is now outdated and invalid)...but the next time I ran iTunes, it recognized the iPod!!!!!! HORRAY
    So in simple instruction form,
    - Open Windows disk management window (Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Computer Management)
    - Once you have this window open, click on Disk Management (under Storage)
    - If like you say, your XP recognizes your iPod (but iTunes doesn't), then your iPod should be listed under that window along with your C drive (and maybe others). Under File System, it might say FAT.
    - If it does, RIGHT CLICK your iPOD and choose Format
    - Change the Format from FAT to FAT32. (It will warn you that everything will be erased but that's ok)
Btw I also restored the nano (to factory settings).
I hope this helps...was glad to find there were other people suffering through the same thing. Misery loves company! Please let me know if it worked for you and if you have questions

I too am a victim of upgrading to iTunes 7.0 I reformatted my nano per instructions, even though it already was FAT32. I reset the nano as well, still no joy. What's interesting is that if I restart the computer with the nano plugged in, it recognizes it and tells me that I need to update to 1.2. As soon as I do this, however, it says that it's updating, but the ipod goes from 'do not disconnect' to the normal menu. iTunes says it’s updating, but it never does. I need to kill the process through task manager to get it to quit.
Additionally, if I choose not to update, the nano shows up in iTunes just fine and I can move songs to the nano. (I have it set to manually update the nano as I have more songs in my library than the nano can hold.)
However, as soon as I ‘eject’ the nano, reconnecting it does not show the nano, whether I stay in iTunes or close iTunes and then unplug and plug in the nano. The nano shows ‘do not disconnect’, and windows sees the nano, but still no joy in iTunes.
FYI, I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the software and tried all the directions at:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93716
Which I was directed to when doing the diagnostics on the iPod through iTunes.
This is a total crock. Some upgrade.

  • Trying to install original drive into secondary bay, but drive is not recognized

I have a DV7 QE, and replaced the hard drive that came with it with an SSD. So far, so good. But then I installed the original drive into the secondary bay, and it is not recognized. Are there some kind of jumper settings I need to set to make it recognizable as an additional disk drive?

I think so. I have never had a laptop with two SATA hard drives but I had to set jumpers on a desktop. The first hard drive was set as primary and the other drive had the jumper on slave. That was a long time ago but you can't go wrong with that. I have noticed that some laptops had disabled the second SATA slot. Make sure that the slot is not disabled in the BIOS.

  • My dtmf tones are not recognized when trying to access my Live Conference account

Since I updated to IOS7 on my iPhone 4S I haven't been able to access my FreeConferenceCalling account. I have been told that it is not recognizing the DTMF tones. I was able to use a friend's 4S with IOS7 with no issue.

  • DTMF Tones not registering at a bridge in Germany from a system based in US

    Hi folks,
I have an 3000 MXP endpoint in NYC that is trying to enter a DTMF pin code to allow it to enter a bridge in the Germany and it is failing.  How does the Tandberg 3000 MXP present it's DTMF tones when calling overseas?  Does it use u-law (US Standard) to pass the DTMF tones that get converted to  A-law (European standard) and possibly the poor signal isn't being picked up by the bridge?  Any ideas?

Cisco IP phones, mostly 7941s, originate the RFC2833 packet, though it's the Asterisk server that actually sends them to the 2801. They appear to be valid, at least Wireshark's VoIP analysis tools see them as valid and the few packets I've looked at manually seem fine.
I tried updating to 15.1(4)M5 over the weekend, but while that seems to have helped the issue of the 2801 not sending some DTMF tones it's now occasionally sending double tones. Again, a packet capture shows the 2833 packets that I'd expect, but if I listen on the other end as I dial numbers I hear about 5% of the numbers dialed twice in short succession.

  • IPhone will not send stored DTMF tones to toll free numbers?

Has anybody else noticed this? When I program my iPhone to connect
to a teleconferencing service (ATT's ironically), the DTMF tones are not
tansmitted. If I change the dial in number to a "caller paid" area code,
the tones are transmitted fine. Probably something to make it more difficult
for consumers to use cheaper international calling accounts.
For example a number such as 866 NNN NNNN , XXXXXXXX will not transmist the numbers after the pause, but change the are code to 865, and it does.

I'm having the same issue. We use a calling card to make international calls and could really benefit from the ability to send 15 digits at a time from the address book. I do it on the RAZR, albeit ungracefully, though it's a smooth operation on my SE W810.
Any thoughts on how this might work (if it does) on the iPhone would be much appreciated.

    va

  • I have created pages with WYSIWYG 6. Some of hyperlinks work well, some are not recognized (flat, not-hyperlinked text or picture). In IE everything works well. Thanks for advice.

Hyperlinks created in some pages work normally, in another pages of the same site, they are not recognized by Firefox. Re-publishing of the pages has no effect. Please, see http://www.kramaric.eu/psychoterapia.html (hyperlinked pictures).

The following line tells me that this is not a template file, but a document created from a template called index.dwt
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><!-- InstanceBegin template="/Templates/index.dwt" codeOutsideHTMLIsLocked="false" -->
This means that you saved a child document as a template file at some stage.
If you go to Modify->Templates->Detach from Template, you can remove the template structure from your document. All you then need to do is to re-save the document as a template.
