Not Recognizing mp3's on Sdcard

Okay here's the scenario I know that Sony Walkman app reads anywhere store on the phone as long as it's not inside the .nomedia folder, but every time I have a new mp3 that in sdcard0 and will transfer it to sdcard1 that mp3 will not be recognized by Walkman app but if you click the mp3 stored on sdcard1on any file managers it will play it by walkman but opening your Walkman app and search for that song it's not there. So I try moving back the mp3 on sdcard0 and Walkman will recognized it again, I got 16gb built in memory on my z3 and like others I want all my media to be stored on external memory. I manage to solve this problem but this is the third time I'm gonna format my SD card again on my pc and I'm getting sick and tired of it knowing the hassle of copying back and forth all of my data's on my SD card so it can be back up. I tried almost all the possibilities to solve this without formating the sdcard1 cleaning the cache, removing sdcard reboot copying the mp3s to a different folder and no success so I end up formatting the card again, this only happens every time I transfer mp3s from phone memory to sdcard and I think sdcard getting corrupted by the process, there's a lot of Walkman problem I read related to this and there's no clear solution to the problem beside the format thing, please Sony solve this as it was getting annoying,. Sorry for my bad English but I do hope I explain it well. Thank you

Just like Rickard said, when clearing data for Media Storage the phone needs to rescan all the media files (which will be done automatically). If you have a lot of media files on your phone, it can take a longer time before they show up in your phone again. I suggest that you just wait a bit longer and the media files will appear again.

  • Windows not recognizing ipod at all, but recognises other MP3 players.

I just bought a ipod nano red 4 GB from a friend. I looked at the settings on the ipod and it is set to windows. When I connect the ipod to windows with an apple power cord I get "USB Device Not Recognized. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it. For assistance in solving this problem, click this message." But when it is connected it charges. so i don't know how it can be malfunctioning. this happened on two computers.

Since the iPod seems to be recognised on other comps then it does sould as if the problem is with the comp rather than the iPod itself.
Make sure the iPod is fully charged before you start.
Try creating a new user account on the comp which won't recognise the iPod and use that account.
Go through the apple 5R's, be sure to uninstall iTunes and the iPod software with the iPod disconnected from the comp and when you reinstall do so with the iPod disconnected and only connect the iPod when the software prompts you to do so or after the install has completed. You might like to reboot the PC after you've uninstalled the iTunes and iPod software and reboot again after you've completed the reinstall. Follow apple's instructions to the letter.
If you still don't get it to work you will need to consider reinstalling XP and starting over with a clean install.
    Hope that helps.

  • IPod nano 3rd Gen 8G "Device Not Recognized" on 2 diffrent computers...

I have the latest versions of iTunes on both a Windows XP service pack 3 computer and Windows 7 Laptop. I've tried multiple cords but both computers tell me "device not recognized", I've uninstalled and reinstalled all drivers. Done a reset and Disk Mode reset on my iPod. Haven't droped it or damaged it in anyway since i've connected it sucessfully to my computer last time. Will charge on a wall charger, car charger and dock. Tried connecting friends iTouch and it was registered by Both computers.
And ideas on a fix other than the $100+ apple wants, I'll just got buy a new MP3.

    - Try another cable
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

  • 4 gen Ipod shuffle is not recognized by windows

I charged my 4 gen i pod shuffle and configured an updated i tunes to transfer songs (mp3 files) directly from my desktop. Nevertheless i tunes had showed ipod as a driver in the windows explorer and has also showed a mp3 files list from my desktop, I transfered only two mp3 files to the device, because, suddenly, ipod icon stopped to appear in the windows explorer. After that first time (it has happened yesterday), the green light now starts to blink 4 times.. but after that it won't response. Now, it is not recognized by my computer and by i tunes as well. I can't transfer more mp3 files to my i pod. Please, help.

    Hello fern_br,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!
I was researching what might be causing the iPod not to appear in Windows or iTunes and found this article named iPod not recognized in 'My Computer' and in iTunes for Windows http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1369.
It pretty thorough and I feel has the best troubleshooting for this situation.
    All the very best,

  • ZEN v Not Recogni

Hi, well my computer does not recognise my Zen v 2GB with the message "USB Device Not Recognized" when I plug it into a USB port.
I have the software installed that came with the CD and windows media player does not pick it up.
Under the device manager the MP3 player is listed as "Unknown Device" and I had tried updating it from there but with no luck.(Also when I right click on it and go to properties then click on "Driver details" it says "No driver files are required or have been loaded to this device" )
Now this has not always been the case. You see I upgraded my computer (New Motherboard, RAM and CPU) and I had to format it. I have all of the windows drivers installed also other MP3 player devices seem to work one of which is an IPOD and the other is an old mp3 player which both are picked up by windows. I had tried using different USB ports as well but that did not help. Also the mp3 player does switch on but it is on low battery. (And it won?t charge as the icon does not show).
If someone could help me with this I would appreciate it as I have a long train journey next week.

Well, it IS the week after Christmas... Sure we could overhire 300%, but then we'd have to charge more for our products. Not exactly a win-win situation here.

  • Zen Extra "USB Device Not Recognized" ??? HEL

    Hi all,
I had a MPIO 20 gb MP3 player wich was stolen. No biggy, I took advantage of it and upgraded to a Nomad Jukebox Zen Extra 30gb. It look and feel nice and the navigation seems really easy. Where it gets more difficult is the "simple" pluging in!!! No matter wich USB port I use on my PC, I always get the "USB Device Not Recognized" message. Front port, motherboard port nor soundcard port (Audigy2) dont work.
Any advice, I really need help here!
    Thx for your time,

I just bought a Zen Micro and had the same problem, the issue is with the USB cable. I had an extra cable from my digital camera and using it, the Zen Micro was recognized immediately. I've seen the issue posted here by other people too. You could try to return the player and chance getting another one with the same problem. If I didn't have a spare one, I would have just picked up a new one up at Radio Shack or Best Buy...

  • Wav format not recognized

I have a Creative Zen that I use for recording my stand-up gigs. I used to use my phone which records in MP3 format from which I imported into Cubase and cleaned up the sound and tightened the envelope.
The wav created by Zen is not recognized by Cubase nor by Windows Media Player. Only Zen plays it. I want to import to Cubae, work on it and save as mp3.
How can I get other programs to recognize this Zen wav format?

  • TOUCHSMART 520 PC NOT RECOGNIZING DEVICES IN THE USB PORT.

When I plug any devices into the USB port, they are not recognized.  The computer acts as if they are not there.  The devices (MP3, camera, Garmin, etc) turn on, so I know that they are connected.  The Printer and wireless mouse that connect through the USB port still work and I have tried changing ports...it doesn't make any difference.  Even if I try to search for thr device, the computer does not find it.  Any ideas?

Roxio media manager in BB Desktop Device Manager not recognizing/transfering to the device.
Read some threads. Managed a cumbersome workaround by using Roxio to take songs from CD and transfer to MP3 format. Then using Explorer to drop into media card. Spent hours trying to figure out. Since I'm not very tech savvy, REALLY appreciate your help. Because I can't get any files from my PC to work. How I can convert WMA. WPL XLS DOC files so my BB can read them? Also, anyone with general info as to why emails I send to myself take days to reach my BB Curve 8330 while other senders come thru quickly?

  • Help:  encoder not recognizing audio in mpg

i have to convery a number of mpgs into flvs using flash's
video encoder. the mpgs have audio, however when i bring them into
the encoder, click on settings, and then click on the audio tab,
it's all grayed out like it's not recognizing it has audio.
anybody encounter this problem as well?
    thanks!

    Hi liscola,
I'm having similar issues with Flash's video encoder although
I have an MPEG file with audio that I'm converting to an FLV. I've
been using the 'Flash 8 - High Quality' setting. It starts encoding
    the file but then give me the following error;
    2008-04-18 13:13:34 : ENCODING FAILED
    - Source file: SourceFile.mpg
    - Output file: ConvertedFile.flv
    - Video codec: On2 VP6
    - Alpha channel encoded: no
    - Deinterlace: no
    - Frame rate: 0 fps
    - Key frame interval: 0 frames
    - Video data rate: 700 kbps
    - Width: 0 pixels
    - Height: 0 pixels
    - Audio codec: MPEG Layer III (MP3)
    - Audio data rate: 128 kbps (stereo)
    - FLV duration: 00:00:00
    - Encoding time: 00:02:01
    ====================================================================
    An internal application error occurred.
    ====================================================================
I have looked into this and there are other posts indicating
that the encoder possibly can't format MPEGS with sound thats over
44kbps. Other people have suggested to convert the MPEG to AVI and
then to FLV but when I tried that is just reduced the quality of
    the video.
If there's anyone that can help with this issue I'd really
    appreciate it.
    Thanks Simon

  • Rio S10 not recognized in iTunes 9.0

iTunes 9.0 and 9.0.1 do not recognize my Rio S10 MP3 player. I didn't have any problems until upgrading iTunes. The player still works in iTunes 8.x.
Does anybody have any suggestions how to get iTunes 9 to recognize my player?

I have a Rio S30S and the same problem. Not recognized any more through iTunes 9.
The support article referenced above carries an April 2010 date, but it contains statements like "Songs purchased from the iTunes Store are encoded using the AAC Protected format." It looks like obsolete information that somebody slapped a new date on.
And in view of the very public spat between Apple and Palm, I wouldn't count on iTunes to support non-Apple devices.
Can't use a USB card reader to drag and drop MP3's to the memory card either. Now what??
Try updating to the newest iTunes. The 9.2.1 feature list had a cryptic reference to resolving issues with drag and drop.

  • HELP!! Device not recognized on an ACER TABLET

?alright, im running windows xp tablet edition in an acer tablet. i have a nomad jukebox zen xtra 40 gb. my mp3 player works at my home computer?(im in college right now, so the computer at home isnt helping much). i installed the drivers from the cd, then?updated the drivers, and software, and my mp3 player is not being?recognized by the computer. its not the software i dont think because the actual pc itself is not recognizing the device. i dont know what to do, im at a loss here. no matter what i've done, the computer just will not recognize the mp3 player. reading through the posts it sounds like creative and acers/tablets don't get along too well. great.. if anyone has any thoughts please please post so i can get to the bottom of this and start using my mp3 player again!!

What's the current firmware version that's in the player? To check this, go to the player settings, information. Also, when the player is connected to the computer, open up device manager and see if there's any error and whether the player is properly registered.

  • Device not recognized - Zen Visio

Day 3... I made the mistake of installing WMP beta without updating my firmware on my Zen Vision M player. It has not recognized my player since. I am not able to rollback to WMP0. I did a system restore to a couple days back before the WMP beta install. Shows WMP0, but device still not recognized. I have plugged another MP3 player and a camera into the USB 2.0 ports and they recognize fine. I updated the firmware on another computer - recognized device fine. So, I know the device works, and my computer is the problem. I am running Windows XP - Service Pack 2. At this point, I am out of options. I am assuming I need to edit my registry. Anyone have any suggestions before I chunk this into the trash and get an IPOD? Thanks for any replies.

i find it hard to believe that I haven't got a single reply to this problem, and neither a reply from creative (I've emailed them, and also replied to their automated email).
I've kept trying to test the mp3 player every few hours, and it worked only once since then. Again, when it worked, it worked on all three computers tested.
I really lost my interest in creative products now, so much different from the times of my creative muvo mx.
Is there really no solution? I'll just return it back
