Not remembering WiFi passwords since update

Since i installed the recent update, each time i connect to a regularly used wifi network, I need to retype my passwords. THis is especially the case with eduroam and is extremely frustrating. Prior to the update, I had used eduroam daily for over a year without having to retype my password. Now, I need to do it every time I connect. Please help.

I can connect perfectly to wifi after typing in the relevant password. My phone now forgets the wifi password to both my work wifi (eduroam) and at home. This means that almost every time i go out of range, I need to retype the password.
I'd really appreciate some help as this is incredibly frustrating.

I had not created 2 separated wireless network. The airport extreme has had create wireless allowing it to be extended and the airport express has had it to extend since day 1.
The only device that does not connect to the airport express when it is far from the airport extreme here is the iPhone 4. I've tested 2 Windows based computers, 2 Macs, 1 Samsung TV and 1 Android phone and they all are able to connect to the airport express when the signal from the airport extreme is weak (please take a look on the screen shots on the original post).

I have seen other people here on the Apple discussions complaining about the same issue with their iPhone 4 and iPad: would it be a iOs problem?

Iphone 5 not remembering wifi password

no matter what I do, once I leave the house and come back the phone does not automatically join my wifi and if I do it manually I have to enter the password again and again. Very annoying to say the least, and something trivial that should just work. I did a reset on the networking part, still same problem.
Might be just me, this is my first iphone, but it seems like this should just work without me having to do much thinking or fiddling?

Phantelope - This is a new issue with iPhone 5 - worked find with my 3 and 4. Also when I transfered from my i4 to 5 the setting where saved. The issue was with my wife's phone, it was new to our network so it didn't have any saved seting to transfer over.
One last comment - I see the inital post was from September - You would like to think that one of the OS updates since then would have fixed this.

Thank you, James, but I do have a WiFi connection on the iPad mini. The Numbers files update on my iPad third generation and iPhone just fine when connected to the same network.
Do you have any other suggestions?

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

I tried reinstalling Leopard -- the computer originally came with Leopard -- but the computer screen goes grey and a message comes up saying I need to restart. He wants to give this computer to me since it's useless to him. What do I do to get a system on it again?

You will need to reformat the hard drive to go back to Snow Leopard or Leopard.
Does he have a Snow Leopard Disk? He should, as there is no way to go from Leopard to Mountain Lion without it. If you can find the Snow Leopard Disk, I'd at least start with that.
You will need to use Disk Utility in the installer to format the hard drive and get rid of the recovery partition.
Boot from the installer disk by holding down the C key on restart. When it boots, Open Disk Utility (Utilities menu, at least in Snow Leopard).
Select the Hard drive and then click the Partition tab.
Select 1 Partition from the partition menu.
Select Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as the format.
Name the drive (Macintosh HD is the standard).
Click Apply to partition the drive.
When it is done, quit Disk Utility and install the OS.

The saved password feature worked well, but the site I had saved the password for required that I change the password. I have found no way to update the password in Firefox. After I deleted the saved password, Firefox did not ask if I wanted the new password saved. When this happened before, I removed and re-installed Firefox, and then it worked. when you start using iCloud on any iOS device and enable find my iPhone, this prevents a new user from using it, and also prevents anyone from using the phone
as it is locked to previous owners account ,this is also the case if when a phone is lost or stolen.
the only way around this is to have the previous owner reset their apple id by going to @ applied.apple.com
if they are unable to do this, then the only other way around this is to have the previous owner get a copy of their original receipt and call apple support who can then lift this lock if they get a copy of the receipt
