"......not responding" even though I have! What's the alternative?

I have a MacBook Pro, using broadband over a router, trying to use ichat with cam and just cannot get it to work -I just get the "XXXXX has not responded" - even if I have!
On the same router I can use my Windows PC ok with MSN Msgr and web cam.
I've read all the posts - what's the best alternative - aMSN?

I have just entered the world of the doomed audio/video user and have spent an hour or so with a very helpful Apple operative, but still no fix yet. My audio/video worked fine on the router I have but within the last couple of weeks I have been getting an error message telling me that 'I' didn't respond to 'me', not that I didn't respond to someone else.
Has anyone any idea what's going wrong, all the settings are the same as before and I can buddy chat etc., the only thing that might be different is that I've updated to 10.4.7. I have now been advised to stay at 10.4.6 and I'm going to try and chat with friends when they get in from work. Has anyone had the same problem and if so, did they get a fix?

History in my search bar will not clear even though I have selected all the appropriate settings under tools/privacy etc. Is this a Firefox bug or am I doing something wrong?

when i go to Music > Artist > All, as you suggested, i see all the albums i have listed. doesn't really relate to my problem with artists with songs in one album, as well as song w/o album set, and the latter not showing up.
but that reminds me, why is it when i go to the All section from a particular artist and they do have more than one album (or even no albums), the order of the songs is in the order they are in the albums.. if i wanted the order it is on albums, i would have selected that album for example.. it would be nice if the songs were in alphabetical order when you're NOT browsing by album, making a particular song easier to find (what if you have thirteen albums for example and u aren't sure which album a song is on, now you have to scroll through a seemingly random ordered list to find one song, alphabetical would be SOOOO helpful!)

Thanks. I do not think that the phone is stolen as I have been able to get it unlocked and surely the phone would be repoted stolen and blocked. What I do not ubderstand is that I thought icoud was just somewhere to back up your data instead of saving it to your computer if that is the case why is it stopping the actual hone from loading the previous owner rest it to factory settings before selling it but refused to get it unlocked. The phone would work with a Vodaphne sim as I understand it althought I did not try before i gave it to a shop to unlock. surely they would have knon before unlocking that there was a problem with icloud and that they woyld not be able to do it. The phone shop are insisting tgat I pay £40.00 for te unlck which they say is done or tey will not et me have the phone back does what they are saying seem right and is it reasonablefor them to expect me to ay for a dud phone??

Someone installed babylon toolbar on top of Firefox - since then when I try to open a new tab, it automatically goes to a babylon search page, even though I have un-installed the toolbar.

Sounds like Firefox is "hanging at exit". That problem is frequently caused by an Extension or a Plugin. Read all of the following articles.<br /><br />

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.

My iPad will show a cellular connection even though it is using Wi-Fi as long as I have cellular turned on. Are you sure that your iPad is actually using the cellular instead of Wi-Fi?

Hello CKemp, Firefox OS Simulator 4.0 is the latest and works only with Firefox 19.0 and later, for the 17.0 firefox version only the Version 2.0.1 (and 2.0) works.

Why do my homepage settings change to a site I do not want every time I shutdown Firefox - EVEN THOUGH I have gone through the process of saving the site I really want?

Thanks for the reply. I never get the option to "Restore Previous History" from History. I don't even have the box checked that asks to delete the history when Firefox closes. I don't know what's wrong, no matter what, I always lose everything. I have the box marked "Show my windows and tabs from last time" for when I open Firefox, but it never shows that, just my homepage. Also, when I check my History, it only shows the pages that I opened since I started Firefox, nothing from before. Even if I were to open up 10 pages now, close Firefox, and open it, the history would only show the homepage that opened this time, not any of the 10 pages that I opened 5 minutes ago.

Preview is not responding even though it's been forced to quit

My preview is not responding, and even though I've forced it to quit several times, it is still not responding.
I've tried to go to Finder --> Go to folder --> ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Preview.plist --> and moved it to trash.
But none of it is working!
I'm studying for my exams, and I really need my "preview" to work.
I would be extremely happy, if anyone could help me.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.
