  • Nano was working perfectly until I had to reformat for windows computer. Now, it does not respond well to touch.

I recently purchased a ipod nano and briefly had it synced with my macbook pro.  I recently sold my macbook pro and had to reformat ipod nano.  Since then, the ipod nano does not respond very well to touch commands and sometimes goes into apps that I did not select.  It is impossible to switch from page one to page two one app screen.
    Thanks,

  • IPod touch home button not responding well even after replacement

Replaced the home button of my 4th gen iPod touch 2 times but no go, I even tried to restore but it still doesn't work. Please any help will be appreciated.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
      - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem. Maybe you damaged something when you repaired thw Home button.

  • My screen zooms in and cuts off access to other icons/apps and does not respond well to touch commands, My screen zooms in and cuts off access to other icons/apps and does not respond well to touch commands

It started out as an occasional problem but not seems to happen multiple times a week. The screen will zoom in and not respond normally to touch and swipe actions.  I cannot seem to get it back to normal unless I turn my phone off which can prove to be very difficult when the touch functions and swipe functions are compromised. Any ideas?

You have activated the Zoom function in Accessibility. Triple click the home button and you can use 3 fingers to scroll the screen. Go into Settings>General>Accessibility>Triple click Home button, off.
Double tapping with 3 fingers should turn it on or off. Three fingers to scroll around screen. Double tap 3 fingers and drag to change zoom.

  • Dreamweaver CS4 not responding well on Mac

I just upgraded to CS4 yesterday. It seems every other thing I do in Dreamweaver, it doesn't respond to my click, then turns to the colorful spinning disc for a minimum of 10 seconds. This is for nearly every click action... it is very annoying and inefficient. I deleted the configuration files but that didn't work. This same problem happened periodically in CS3 as well, but appears much worse now. Any ideas? I'm on a Mac Pro, OS 10.5.7 with 4 GB of RAM.

Thanks Jon very much for your suggestion.
I work on a Macintosh iMac with a 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo running on 2GB 667 MHz memory. I am running no extensions on Dreamweaver.!
I usually pull down any files from my clients' servers then work on the files locally. Once I am happy that the files have been altered appropriately I then send them back up to the server.
Up till now the files have worked relatively well although they can take a little while to load. I notice that if I view the files in code only there is no problem but since I am fundamentally a designer I like to see what it is I am doing and tend to avoid working with the files in code.
I have done exactly what you have suggested although I have done that before thinking it would 'clear out' the system. Sadly, despite my meticulous attention to removing all the files associated with Dreamweaver the problem still persists.
There are some points to note in all this. While trying to pin down the problem I have noticed that it is the larger file sizes that jam Dreamweaver BUT it is a relative problem. Big files on one of the clients sites are small files on other client sites - one minute it will not open a 50k file for one client the next it will be a 372k file on another site that stalls!
It is interesting just how many people there are out there having the same issues that I appear to be having.
    Thanks for all your help
If I come up with a solution I'll let you know.

  • Hard drive completely full computer not responding well What to do

My daughters MBPro has been problematic.
Recently it was misbehaving, and I was able to get about 10GB below capacity. Which really helped. Now however she comes to me and says email is not working and weird stuff is happening. So I certainly a novice at best look it over and the hard drive is completely full, zero space. She I am sure has not add much data, if any over the past few weeks that would have taken up 10GB. I noted thaat she did a recent software update, which may have pushed it over the edge.
Anyway, I launched a Carbon copy clone of the HD in order to hopefully prevent total catastrophe. This is running now.
We could not seem to even delete photos, etc. itunes stuff to help a bit. Kept getting error that it could not save itunes library or iphoto library.
Tomorrow I'll bring the computer to Apple Store for help. Is there anything I can do in the mean time??
    Regards,
    Jim Svarz

OK, it's me, talking about what I would do...
I would delete both "folders" FULL STOP.
There's an article in Apple's KB suggesting to trash anything in the /volumes/ apart from ANY mounted discs or images.
So, o fcourse, it's your call, but my advise would be to trash them.
Considering the number 1 after the name, the files are leftovers from "Free Agent Drive" (some backup software - I guess), therefore safe to trash - there's your HD space!
As to CCC, if you are cloning (as opposed to backing up just a few folders) your clone would have those files on it as well, which is bad and good at the same time...
If you have a recent-ish clone, delete the files from the HD and if everything runs just fine, delete them from the clone as well. If anything refuses to run or crashes (VERY unlikely in relation to those two folders) you can always restore them from the clone.
Please keep us posted, it's worth learning stuff, innit?
PS. Does PS make any sense in electronic writing? I could just edit the text... hmmm...
PPS. Back on the topic. Is "Free Agent Drive" the name of your backup volume? If so, I am 99.9% certain it's a CCC leftover - safe to delete.
Apple KB article (which I can't find at the moment) says that it does happen under Leopard that stuff can get left over in volumes and it's not a fault of any third party software. You will forgive me if I don't spend my night trawling for that article, but you could have a look for it here: http://support.apple.com/kb/index?page=search

  • Power/unlock button does not respond well

    Hello,
I bought my Xperia Z1 about a month and a half ago. I haven't put my Xperia Z1 in water and I didn't drop it on the floor so that's not the problem. But whenever I want to unlock the phone I press the powerbutton but 10 seconds later it responds or not at all. When the phone is finally unlocked and I want to lock it again the button works perfectly, so the problem is only with unlocking. Also when I have an incoming call when the phone is locked the screen doesn't light up, so I can't answer it. Besides that, and I'm not sure if those two things are related, when I turn my phone 90 degrees the screen doens't always rotate automatically, same when I take a picture with the camera. Both problems showed up at the same time so I don't know what's going on exactly, but it's getting annoying since I've only had the phone for a month and didn't drop it or put in under water. I hope someone recognizes this problem and could tell me what's wrong with the phone.
    Thanks in advance

How about if you boot in safe mode.does the same occur?

  • I have transfered my music to a new computer. I have a iPhone 4S 64g  and I have a lot of music. I believed i have followed all instructions to do this. I have even unistalled itunes and reinstalled. Synching to  new computer not responding well

Can anyone provide more specific info when transferring iTunes to new computer. i have completed all steps including the ones ive seen on the forums since others have had same issue. Uninstall iTunes. Reinstall iTunes. Check synch all music uncheck synch all music...When I try to sync with new computer it transfers music, some go into downloaded songs only, if i connect to old computer its better, and then there is the new cloud! I am regretting changing computers but it was time. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I just want my iPhone 4S 64g to synch correctly and completely.

It is probably best to start over. These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
    Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
    Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
If you have an iOS device that syncs with contact & calendar data on your computer you should migrate this information too. If that isn't possible create a dummy entry of each type in your new profile and iTunes should offer to merge the existing data from the device into the computer, otherwise the danger is that it will wipe the information from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data. If you don't have any Apple devices then see HT2519 - Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store.

  • Some characters of my keyboard not responding well

my keyboard's  "T" and "Y" keys doesnot work if i press the T key its automatically types T4 and if i type y it types Y7

    Hello @asok56sth,
It appears that you're having an issue with a couple of keys typing extra characters. I will try to assist you with this.
I recommend starting off with the steps in this document: Notebook Keyboard Troubleshooting (Windows 7).
There is a section in the document that guides you threw popping the keys out. I do recommend doing this to check to see if there is any damage or anything that may be causing multiple keys to engage at the same time. Based on the key typed and the number that goes with it, this could be a likely possibility.
If you require further assistance, please provide the following information. Model and Prodcut numbers for the notebook. Currently installed operating system.
Please let me know how everything goes.

  • IPod Touch not responding well to touch

I touch the number pad to enter the passcode and it never registers by the number is selected on the screen.

    Try the standard fixes:
    - Reset. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
    - Last, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • Error -200284 not responding well to suggested fixes

I get error -200284 when running labVIEW to acquire voltages.  Your suggested fixes are disabling the timeout feature (which makes the program just sit there and do nothing) or increase the sampling rate (I was using 1.5 kHz, and when I increase it to 10kHz, it will take 6 seconds of data, display it, pause, and take 6 more seconds of data and repeat rather than just continually sampling like it should).  Any ideas?

It sounds like you probably have the correlation between the Sample Rate and Number of Samples setup incorrectly. Normally you want to keep this at a 10:1 ratio of Rate to Samples on a Continuous Acquisition.
If you are sampling at 10kHz and it takes 6 seconds to returns data, you must have the Number of Samples set to 60,000? At 10kHz, you're getting 10,000 samples per second. If you had this same Number of Samples with a rate of 1.5kHz, it would take 40 seconds to acquire 60,000 samples. That's why you are getting the error. So if you follow the 10:1 rule, at 10kHz, getting 1000 samples would 100ms.
The Number of Samples input specifies how many samples to acquire each time the Read vi runs. Normally for a continuous acquisition you acquire a small number of sample per loop iteration.
    Does that help at all?

  • Satellite P - Letter K is not responding

The letter K is not responding well when pressed on my keyboard. It may have some debris underneath, is it safe to prise the letter off, clean and replace ?

    Hey,
The problem is that single keys cant be removed so if a single key doesnt work anymore you have to replace the whole keyboard. Some keys cant be replaced or ordered.
But the whole keyboard shouldnt be so expensive. Its cheaper part I think and you can order it from an authorized service provider in your country. Just get in contact with the guys and ask for help ;)
