Not responsive wireless mouse and keyboard, No internet/wifi and Bluetooth connection.

Hi,
I need help as both my wireless mouse and wireless keyboard are totally no responsive and I replaced them with fresh new batteries. My wifi/internet connection is offline too. My Bluetooth signal is the Bluetooth with jagged lines "Bluetooth offline". I tried to disconnect all my USB devices and restarted. I tried the methods listed here but to no avail.
Yesterday afternoon there was a lightning in the skies and it caused blackout throughout my whole house. So it might be due to the power surge from the Lightning but all my other devices like my iPhone and modem router are working fine. I restarted the router too. It was fine the whole evening till nighttime yesterday. This morning I woke up, I can't do anything at all.

First thing to try is resetting the PRAM per the instructions below. If that does not work then please use the instructions on how to connect a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard below.

If my imac is left sleeping for any length of time there is no wireless mouse or keyboard functionality and the imac keeps returning to sleep. Starting a couple of days ago my mouse and keyboard stopped working suddenly.
How are they connected? In my case they are wireless and their receiver is plugged into my USB hub. After an update I found the OS inexplicably not recognizing my USB hub and hence any devices which were plugged into it. My fix was to
plug the receiver into a different USB port (so I could use the mouse and keyboard; otherwise I would have had to use the OSK via Touch or pen.) Once I had normal access into my machine again I used Device Manager to remove all USB controller and
hubs (including hidden ones) and I then shut down, disconnected all USB devices and powered back up, this time using only Touch to get going. Once the OS had settled down I started plugging stuff back in the way that I wanted it to be recognized.
If I didn't have Touch I would have had to have left the wireless receiver plugged in both places which I assume would be OK. I have no idea why updates have such a catastrophic effect for USB devices.

Simple.. bridge the TC.. in the apple utility in the NAT and DHCP area.
Plug it into the FIOS router.. you can turn off wireless in the TC if you want.. or use it.. it can work faster if you are nearby and can select 5ghz.. but up to you.

well i used the mouse n keyboard, which came with my imac g5, which ofcourse was wired.... but then , i needed wireless stuf, so i bought microsoft multimedia wireless mouse n keyboard, MAN , now i feel, apple's keyboard's keys were SOOO HARD! , this MS keyboard, is a charm! its like, almost touch and it takes it! ,now i have an option that either i give this MS KB n MOuse to my sis, and get myself an apple's wireless set , or buy her another MS kB and mouse, can anyone suggest me, if on Bluetooth keyboard of apple, keys' are equally HARD to press or, are they softer compared to their wired ones? , please rpely

I switched from a windows machine that used the Microsoft keyboard. I upgraded to the apple bluetooth keyboard, and after a few days, adjusted quite well to the feel and layout and won't use anyother keyboard today.
As far as the mouse goes, I prefer a "hearty" moust and the apple boothtooth mouse didn't do it for me. I recommend the Logitech MSX1000. It's RF, but comes with drivers for the mac.
I'd keep the hardwired keyboard just incase you have any problems with your bluetooth.

I had this hotmail issue myself a while back. I Googled, scanned MS website, scanned MSN website, visited forums, couldn't figure it out. I tried Firefox and Opera and even changed the Opera mask setting from Opera to Internet Explorer. Nothing worked. My best guess was that I was signing on (with the new MSN Live as opposed to MSN Hotmail - the OLD interface) with the "Remember me on this computer?" box checked. I now make sure it is un-checked (which is not the default) and hotmail lets me in.
Not exactly sure if that is the real remedy, but thot I'd throw the story your way just in case...

The iPads here take a sim card. We were advised by an Apple Store Employee at home that this model would work in Europe and that we could buy our service here. That does not seem to be the case. We have been told that we must invest in a modem at 200.00€ and then purchase a separate service plan for each country. We can use the free wifi wherever it is available but we cannot connect to the outside world when out of range. Is there anything else we can do?

You can share the same Apple ID for purchasng form the iTunes and app stores without any problems, but you should all used separate iCloud accounts with separate Apple IDs. (You are not required to use the same ID for iCloud and other services as you do for the iTunes store.) This will prevent you from ending up with merged data. You should also use separate Apple IDs for iMessage and FaceTime or you will end up getting each other's text messages and FaceTime calls.

Boot camp, does not recognise wireless mouse and keyboard

I have installed windows 4 times, after the installation the wireless keyboard and mouse stop responding! I guess lots of people have had this problem but I cannot see any solution! If I buy a USB mouse would it work?

the problems with wireless keyboads/mouse and BootCamp Windows are well known.
The problem seem to be that the pairing of the keyboard/mouse with the Mac seems to be randomly forgotten by Windows.
An official statement and/or solution from Apple is yet to be seen.
I assume that you did install the Windows Drivers from the OSX DVD, right ?
Personally I have never used wireless keyboards/mouse, not even in my PC-heydays.
Right now I use the Apple USb-keyboard and a Logitech USB-Mouse.

and i want to use my micorsoft 2000 wireless keyboard and mouse with the hub and two of my
external Buffalo 1TB hard drives and it does not work with any of those items, the hub
works with my macmini, and a Android TV box, no problem but
just this Macbook air that I just bought is not allowing the hub to work.
The devices plugged into the Macbook air work ok when directly into the computer?
I called APPle Care and they said no issues but I read on Amazon and GOOGLE others
are complaining about using Hub with the air not working but Apple care Senior advisor
says no issues so what can I do?
I will take it in to Apple to check the Computer out with this hub and see if it is the hub on another

Mouse and keyboard stop working ocassionally and I have to re-boot the computer. does anyone else have this issue?

I have a pwoer Mac with a dual quad processor and current os. If I turn off the computer at night and power up the next day my wireless mouse and keyboard do not work nor does my hardwired mouse. I have to hold the power button to re-boot the computer to get it to work.

Open console in Applications>Utilities, check the system log for the date/time of the last problem & the Startup right after that for clues.
And/or...
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...
