Not saving as in proper format. new CS6 both macchines

I have downloaded CS6 on two computers Running 10.7.5. I have been operating on CS5 with no problems.
Running CS 6 when I open a nef and try to save as it shows png as the save as if I try and change it a jpg it shows as.iff. When I open a tiff and try to do a save as the, format is empty when I click and set as psd it will do the psd. If I try and save as jpg it changes to a .ff file
This is the same thing on both machines.
I did try to run pixel bender but it does not operate on cs6. I had akvis lightshop as a plugin but I Got these messages and I Removed it.
I still have the stand alone akvis but not the plugin.
I have downloaded the New upgraded Nik software on cs6 on both machines
I tried to put a sceen shot but this will not accept it

Incompatible plug-ins - the main culprit. Known issue.
A clean install of CS6 should resolve your issue.
Please follow the thread R_Kelly has posted to resolve your issue.

  • OS X notes saving every change as a new note

Each time I make a change to a note, OS X saves the change as a new note. Delete a line? New note. Add some words? New note. It even adds notes while I'm typing and even when I'm doing nothing. I've attached a sample, looking at the oldest versions (bottom) you can even see how it saved in between typing example and note.
What's going on and how do I stop the madness?
    OS X Mavericks 10.9.2, Build 13C64.

Wow, that's really weird.  I would guess a home permission problem where you can't wite to the iMessage folder.  I guess while I waited on more specific advice, I would a home permission & ACL reset.  I just explained this in another response or your can google it on your own.  It's not hard, may not fix this but won't hurt and I've seen several cases first hand where ACLs get messed up during a Mavericks upgrade.

  • Lightroom 5.4 changes not saved after touching up in Photoshop CS6

I'm using Photoshop 5.4 and Photoshop CS6, licensed via CC.  My workflow includes Lightroom edits that apply to an entire group of photos (white balance, colors, lens corrections, etc.) followed by an individual export to Photoshop CS6 using the Edit in Photoshop menu option.  Once opened in Photoshop, the changes in Lightroom appear to be applied.  After applying some manual touch ups to the photo, then saving, the resulting .tiff file loses the Lightroom edits.  The original .nef file contains the Lightroom edits, but not the touch ups; the .tiff file contains the touch ups but not the Lightroom corrections.
    How do I resolve this?

In Library, set your sort order to Filename instead of Added order and see if the files show up, then.
How are you doing the Save in PS, using Save or Save As—one will show up, one won’t, I think, but I don’t remember which.

  • "print" command in Mathscript not saving plots in BMP format!

    Hi guys,
i am trying to create a vi that will automatically generate a pdf report for my project. I found a way to save the report directly as pdf (that is, i "print" my report to a virtual PDF printer (PDFCreator) that saves the file automatically to a specific folder with the date/time as its name. So this was the first step to making the procedure automatic).
I am stuck in the next level, which is adding to the report not labview's bad-looking graphs, but the plots generated through the Mathscript.
So, after adding as input "a" my data to the mathscript node, i use the following commands:
    figure
    plot(a)
    print image
Now, what this sequence does is make a nice plot of my data and then save it as "image.eps" in the default folder.
However, the eps format is not at all useful to me as i cannot import the plot with the "Append Image To Report.vi". This vi supports only BMP, GIF, WMF, EMF and JPG formats.
So, i want to save the plot from mathscript as BMP. This is supposedly possible, however i have not been able to find a way. The "print" command help for Labview 2011 Mathscript reads:
    http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/373123B-01/lvtextmath/msfunc_print/
    Syntax
    print
    print(a)
    print(file)
    print(a, file)
    Description
Print the plot window or save it into a file in either BMP or EPS format. If the plot window to save is an image plot or a 3D plot, the file must be in BMP format. For other kinds of plots, both BMP and EPS formats are supported.
There is no way for me to choose which format i want and it automatically chooses eps. If i use the command
    print image.bmp
it gives me back an error. So, adding the .bmp ending is not the way to go.
All in all, it is crucial for me to export the plot in BMP format (so as to import it in the report generation), but i cannot find a way, althouth it is supposed to work.
    Any ideas????
    Thanks
    PS. I run Labview 2011 SP1
    Solved!

    Thanks a lot ttrr!!

  • ITunes 9.2.1 not saving Artwork or Lyrics to new songs

    Hi,
I imported a new song. And, then went to add all of the information, such as; Name, Artist, etc.
But, when it came to adding the Lyrics and Artwork, yes it allowed me to add them but once pressing 'Ok'. It didn't load up the artwork and when opening up the information again, everything had saved except the Lyrics and Artwork.
How do I get it to work again?
    Cheers,
    Reuben T

    Started working again.
    I don't no why.

I have just updated to LR5.  I also have a new Camera.  Nikon D800.  Trying to import directly (from camera) into LR.  But unsuccessful. Getting the following message.  "The files are from a camera which is not recognised by the raw format support in Lightroom."  How can I import please?

    Hi,
I assume you mean the Nikon D810 because D800/800E support has been there since Lightroom 4.1
Currently, because it is a new camera (D810) the only support is in a RC of ACR 8.6 for Photoshop CS6 and CC, as the RC runs out on 31 August it is expected support will be there in the next dot release of Lightroom.
Current limitations are that only full sized NEF is supported.
If you wish to import to Lightroom 5.5. you will need to download the DNG Converter v8.6RC and convert the NEF files (full size RAW ony) to DNG then import into Lightroom 5.5

  • I just upgraded to Photoshop cs6 so that my new camera (Nikon D7100) would work in Camera Raw.  However, it will not download from the  "Update" option in CS6.

I just upgraded to Photoshop cs6 so that my new camera (Nikon D7100) would work in Camera Raw  (I was told that the Camera Raw update 8.3, which is available for CS6, included this camera).  However, it will not download from the  "Update" option in CS6.  I have tried over 10 times - it just says update is not working. and I cannot find an alternate way of downloading this file. So I still can use my camera, even thought I paid to upgrade.  HELP please.

What OS do you have?  You say you have explained what you had (computer/opsys) but I honestly don't see it here.  If you had mentioned that my advice would have been different; I believe you can only upgrade as far as Camera Raw 8.3 on an older Windows system.  There is more information here (look specifically for the "Revert to 8.3 ..." titles).
Adobe Camera Raw Help | Camera Raw/DNG Converter 8.4 on Mac OS 10.6, Windows XP, and Vista
What you've done/written in your last post confuses things further, unfortunately.  Photoshop 13.1 is strictly a Creative Cloud version.  The highest you can go is Photoshop CS6 13.0.1.3 with perpetual license.
And as far as I can recall, that version can work on Windows back to XP:
    System requirements | Photoshop
I don't think you're out of luck, but you seem to be leaping into doing things without having the full story, and are jumping to conclusions a bit too quickly.
Here's what I suggest you try:
    1.  Remove Photoshop entirely with the Creative Suite Removal Tool:
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
    2.  Install Photoshop CS6 from your original media or from here:
    Download CS6 products
    3.  Update the application using its own Help - Updates process.  That really should get you the latest Camera Raw version that will work.  If that does not bring you a Camera Raw that works with your Nikon, use the "Revert to 8.3" instructions above.

  • Photoshop CS 5.1 (v12.1 x64) Trial not saving to JPEG or common formats

I downloaded and installed the PS CS 5.1 trial edition today. All I needed to do was slightly edit a photo and save it as a JPEG so I could use it in a Word document. I successfully opened the JPEG photo I needed to edit and made the changes I wanted to, but I am unable to save the file as a JPEG. I can save to the following formats: PSD, Large Document Format, Portable Bitmap, OpenEXR, TIFF, and Radiance. The "Save for web and other devices" option on the main menu is grayed out and inaccessible. I've updated both Photoshop and my OS with no effect. Supposedly the trial is supposed to be fully functional (one would assume that includes saving to common image formats), but that is not the case here.
Does anyone have advice or a course of action I can take to resolve this?
    Thanks!
    Josh

yah, that was the issue...sad thing is I've made this same mistake before...gotta stop working with RAW files so much lol

I'm not sure that Lion AutoSave feature apply to network servers.
I'm just sure that the Versions feature doesn't.

    Wow. Okay...
I'll let the real veterans in this forum tackle your issues one after the other. But, I can tell you, all will be well.
My only comment would be re: your computer specs:

To be completely honest, FCPX is a RAM hog. It just is. But, RAM is relatively cheap, and the pay-off is good.
4GB is right on the edge, IMHO. 16G is ideal.
I wish you luck, hang in there, and standby for more help.

  • I am trying to download the new CS6 Design Suite - not able to get past the previous version.

I am trying to downloat the new CS6 Design Suite and am not able to get past the previous version menu. Getting the message "This serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another." How do I get past this?

When you say "Download" do you actually mean install?
Which version are you upgrading from?
Could you try the solutions in the following article: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-serial-number-qualifying-product.html.

  • Output file in not a proper format

Hello, My JAVA program generate an output file using FileWriter. The name of output file is output.dat (ie a NOTEPAD file). But when I open up the file it is not in proper format. All the text get clustered. But when I open the same file in MircoSoft Word its open with no problem. Is there any solution to this problem.
    bye

Most text editors will accept '\n' alone as the line terminator. Notepad is an exception.
    Workarounds are:
    1. Write an '\r' immediately before each '\n'.
    2. Get a decent text editor.

Sorry Photoshop --  Problems solved -- I read the details -- turns out you need to make changes with no files open for the preferences to apply to all files.
