Not showing wizard network instalation

We have just recently installed new desktops at our office and are having difficulties in reinstalling the printer on the network.
Our printer is model: Officejet 8500 a909a,
when doing the instalation the program tells us to select the "wizard network instalation" from the control panel on the printer itself, but that option is not even available. There are only four options in network, those are: print network preferences, connection speed, IP settings and reset to factory settings. None of these have anything to do with an instalation wizard. Since my colleagues have lost both the original installation CD as the printers manual there is no way for us to find what the problem is. Does anybody here know the answer, or at least can send me tyhrough to somebody who might know what to do.
The driver i used was downloaded from the HP support website and should be compatible with our system zich is Windows 7 (32 BIT)

According to the manual, the Wizard should be in the Setup > Network area. You could try a reset of the printer - hold # and 6 keys while powering on then see if the Wizard shows up.
The Wizard is a great way to add the printer to the network but not the only way. See page 156 of the manual for more on how to set up the printer on a network.

The dialog you show there looks like it may be a CS6 open dialog running on windows 8.1 that is showing what is local. Network is not highlighted selected.

This shows as an AT&T iPhone 4S. Are you trying to use this with an AT&T network?

Satellite not showing wireless networks, adapter seems ok

my satellite is not showing wireless networks and i can't figure out what networks are available. the adapter seems to be working properly according to windows device manager. i had to uninstall configfree, although i'm not sure that caused any problem. i have had to run a bunch of anti-spyware programs, registry cleaners etc., system seems much better but a few glitches.

It's possible, but it might be a lot more work to do so. It all depends on how soon you need to get it fixed. I'm not a network specialist so I can't really offer much in the way of assistance other than what I already did. It's possible someone else might have other ideas, but since you didn't post this in the Networking and WiFi Forum where it belongs it's quite possible that those networking specialists will never even see your post to respond to it. I know that I rarely go into the Networking Forum as it isn't my strong suit.

I have this Exact same issue, I bought it from a friend though, and it will not show any networks to choose while I am at home and my computer and other phones are connecting perfectly to my wifi. I have tried to reset the network settings, I just restored the whole phone when I transferred my info to it. If anyone knows of anything else please advise.

DC not showing under "Network" in Windows Explorer of member server

Hello Community
    After spending an endless amount of time trying to create SharePoint Server farm
and seeing an error message stating that I could not connect to the master, I found
that that was not the problem at all.
    The farm has Windows 2008R2 Server dc (Server1) and Windows 2008 Server member server
(Server2).
    If I go into Windows Explorer and click "Network" on the Windows 2008R2 Server
dc (Server1) the Windows 2008 Server member server (Server2) is visible.
    But if I go to the Windows 2008 Server member server (Server2) and click "Network"
I do not see the Windows 2008R2 Server dc (Server1) it is not visible.
    I figured that since Server2 showed under "Network" I would be able to map a network
drive to Server2. But when I tried to map the network drive I got the following error
message:
    "\\Server2 is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network
     resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access
     permissions."
    However, after a waiting a looong time I was able to do the opposite by
mapping a network drive from Server2 from Server1.
    But that doesn't solve the problem because Server1 still doesn't show under
"Network" on Server2 which is what is needed. It only mapped to the C:\ drive on Server2,
which is what the server farm needs.
    I am admin on both servers.
    The firewall is off.
    Both servers are obviously in the same domain.
    How can I get Server1 to appear under "Network" on Server2?

Hi,
Based on my experience, if your computer is connected to a network, you can see all of the computers and devices that are currently part of the network in the Network
folder.
Please make sure the DC and server2 are in the same network and network discovery setting is set to open on both of the computers.
In addition, did you have other member servers on the same network? If yes, can you see them list in the network folder on server2?
I also recommend you to ping the DC on server2 to make sure the connectivity between them.

When I go to Keychain Access, firstly, the Network does not show up at all
Open Keychain Access. Select Passwords on the left.
In the search field top right corner of that window type in: airport
Press return or enter on your keyboard. That will highlight your network keychain.

Windows 7 32 bit computer does not show in network neighborhood

If I go to Windows Explorer only certain computers will show (both Windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit computers) under network. Why would
another computer not be showing.
The computer is on Windows Server 2008 domain.
If I a computers that does not show and open Network and Sharing Center, Change advanced sharing settings, I see Turn on network discovery and Turn on file and printer sharing are checked.

After upgrading all the computers on a small LAN (about 10 workstations) I found that only a few of the workstations would show up in network neighborhood. This was a using a clean install of Windows7Pro on all the computers. After a great
deal of checking settings and verifying that the really could be accessed by mapping a drive to a known computer name and share such as:
\\SERVER1\data, but unable to see the computers in network neighborhood, out of frustration I changed the workgroup name from the default WORKGROUP to WORKGROUP1 and like magic the network neighborhood became populated.
I saw hints about this in several other forums, but nothing on Microsoft, so wanted to pass it along that this really works. OTH, I have other workgroups that work just fine with the default WORKGROUP name,
So, after changing all the computers in the workgroup over to WORKGROUP1 all became visible and my problem was solved. Oh and this was just a typical TCP/IP network with a Dynex router providing dhcp services and internet access. Absolutely plain
vanilla, no 3rd party firewalls, just the default tcp/ip network settings that are pretty much installed automatically when installing W7Pro. And all the computers were set up as WORK networks with Network Discovery and sharing enabled. I verified
again by changing some back to WORKGROUP that when I did so those computers were no longer visible on the network.

IPad 2 (5.1.1.) not showing WiFi networks.

I have been looking for a while trying to find a solution to this question, but so far I can't find anyone else with this issue and the a**h**** at Best Buy refuse to believe there is a problem.
Anyway the issue is that I have an iPad 2 running iOS 5.1.1. and it doesn't show any networks available. At first I thought it was the router but every other device in our house is working fine. So I checked to see if maybe it was just the connection so I sat next to the router with it (to make sure it was not interference) and nothing, I also checked to see if the neighbors WiFi (usually on even low range devices I can see about 5-7 other people around us) would show up and still nothing. I took it into Best Buy and it worked immediately on their connection but when I got home it stopped working again.
I did a full wipe and reinstall of the software on the iPad, tried running a diagnostic on the router (which turned up nothing), made sure the router is broadcasting at the frequency that Apple recommends, uninstalled all the software that has been installed since it started having issues, and it is getting just a little bit frustrating.
If anyone has any suggestions that don't involve chucking it off the roof I would very much appreciate it.

I also have the exact same problem. Has become worst and worst. A month ago or so I would not be able to see any wifi, and then after a few hours the ipad2 would see the wifi network again. Have been struggling for 5 days now and it still can't see any network. I have Ipad2 with v5.1 on (Also did it on the previous 4.2??)

Finder not showing connected network drives in Devices section

I have a number of network drives on my LAN, some NAS drives, some other Macs and of course a Time Machine. Prior to updating to OSX 10.9.5 when I used finder to connect to one of these shares the name of the connected share used to appear in the Finder Sidebar - under the devices section. Now when I do this nothing appears, although I do get an icon on the desktop and I can still access the remote files.
I have set/reset all the finder view settings from the Preferences panel and also tried deleting the finder and sidebar preferences files without improvement. I do have "Path Finder" installed as well and this still works as normal.
I contacted Apple support and after a hour or so they promised to get an engineer to get back to me sometime this week.
Has anyone else seen this behaviour ?
If Apple don't come up with any ideas I will have to experiment with uninstalling other apps which might indirectly case it, like Path Finder and even Paragon NTFS drivers.
It's not a show stopper, but a rather annoying inconvenience.

Sorry to take so long responding. Major disaster! My whole wall bookcase just tumbled, and I'm still working at excavating the family (of Macs).
Your card should work. I've used the Acard cards by the dozens without problem, though I've never used that particular 6860 card or set up a RAID ARRAY. Just checked, using a 6880 (RAID) though as a controller card and not as a RAID ARRAY, and found that my 2002 QS Mac would not see a standard hard drive(#2) running OSX (10.2) that had been formatted by the OSX install disk using the stock bus on the motherboard. It would, however, see a hard drive(#3) that had been formatted while connected to an ACARD controller card (6280). I'm guessing that an OSX installer disk is prepared to see and to deal with a SCSI drive, and that Disk Utility is not.
Check that.
Just removed the controller card formatted drive(#3) and re-installed the OSX(10.2) drive(#2); this time my 2002 QS saw it right away, both on the desktop and in disk utility. I guess it needed personal messenger service.
As I recall, I've seen that happen before using controller cards; as a result, I've always taken care to format a new hard drive by connecting it to a controller card if that is the way I intend to use it. Hard drives can be capricious, sometimes. At any rate, try formatting your hard drive(s) with an OSX installer disk (hoping you have one) while connected to the ACARD controller card - just click on erase (twice) and the drive formats automatically.
I'm a little mystified by reference to drivers; never installed any drivers, and always assumed none were needed.

AirPort Menu not showing other networks except the one it's connected to.

AirPort menu is strange indeed. Only for the first time, it shows the list of all available networks.
Now I cannot see any other networks. Is this a bug or something?

Snoop does not show any network traffic other than own machine

Does anyone know of a way to troubleshoot a 3COM 3C900-Combo card? I reinstalled the card which lets the snoop command show activity of the machine but the card does no send or recieve (ping) any other machines onm the network. The IP and subnet are correct and the ifconfig - a shows the card as "up". Any help would be appreciated. I sur ewould like to get Solaris machine on my NT network.

Please verify if in the BIOS the settings of "PNP OS" is set to FALSE, instead of TRUE. This may help fix the problem.
If this does not resolve the problem can you please enclose a snipped output of the dmesg related to elxl0 and "ifconfig -a" output. Please confirm the sub net mask is set right. Cat /etc/netmasks to confirm.

Built in ethernet not showing in network preferences

A friend has been experiencing random dropouts via airport, as a workaround she has been using a direct cable to the adsl router from time to time. Now all of a sudden she cannot see the ethernet anymore.
In network preferences ethernet is not displayed in the network status, regardless of whether a cable is inserted or not.
About this mac lists an ethernet adaptor and ethernet is enabled in the network port configurations in the preferences.
Dis/enabling the ethernet in network port configurations has no effect neither does repair disk permissions.
The machine is less than a year old, fully updated and still under warranty, anything else she can try?

i am having something like you where the ethernet worked for a while and then it was greyed out... and i went as far as formating my computer and reinstalling os x... but now the computer thinnks i don't have a ethernet card...

Color Labels not showing across Network

I appreciate any help I can get with this...
We have a 4 macs on this network right now in our Art Dept.
2 are 1.6GHz PowerPC G5's 1GB RAM
2 are 800 Mhz Power PC G4's w/ 1GB RAM
All are running 10.4.5
We have a Buffalo Terastation as our Unix Server with Gigabit Networking.
It is very important for us to be able to see the folder/file color coding system. It is not working on one of our G4's. It will allow me to change the color, but will not be visible from other machines neither will it see the color if it is changed from another machine.
Has anyone else ever had this problem?
What can I do to fix this machine so it understands the color system?
Is there an alternative to the coloring system?
Is there a plugin or expansion for this to add even more colors?
This machine is worthless to us if this does not work...this is a very fast paced environment where we need real-time color labels to constantly know the status of our ads!

I have been having the same problem and I just discovered a solution. At least it worked for me. One of our computers was connected to the server using cifs instead of afp. Once I reconnected using afp the color labels worked fine.
Select your server on the desktop of the computer you are having problems with and get info. Under General info, see if the Server address starts with afp or something else. Under the Go menu in the finder select Connect to Server... and make sure you put afp:// before the server address and connect.
