Not sure how to use linksys wired router and using Airport Express as bridg
Hey, thanks for any help.
I now own a Linksys BEFSR41 Cable Router. I was told earlier that I could connect the modem to this router and then to the wireless AEBS. I was wondering if anyone knows how to do this bridge thing. Also if anyone has any experience with this linksys router with a mac.

How to use Airport Express to extend range in conjunction with Belkin N Wireless Router
I would like to know how I can extend the range of my Belkin N1 Wireless Router using the the Apple Airport Express? I saw a similar post to this question but the results talk about using this in conjunction with time capsule - I only have a Belkin router and the Airport Express.
If so, can someone help me to find out which settings/configuration I need to set of my Router and Airport Express in order the extend the range of my network.

I tried connecting the AE via Ethernet from the Belkin router but was not successful in being able to get any additional coverage. I feel like I am missing a vital set of instructions with set-up/configuration details.

Keep trying to access my Hulu plus Account and it keeps telling me it's not available. It did that yesterday and then the login screen appeared (not sure how it happened) I logged in and it worked. Now today, same unavailable message comes up. Help !!!
Try a Hard Reset.....
Press and hold the Wake / Sleep button AND the Home button at the same time, keep them both pressed until the Apple Logo appears on the screen, it can take 10 or more seconds. Ignore the swipe to turn off message. -
I have two companies sending me indesign documents. One opens up and the dictionary is set to English. The other file opens at is in Hebrew, Not sure how to fix the Hebrew part and whether or not the fault lies at my end or at the other end
If only the language is Hebrew, you should correct it in the Paragraph and Character Styles.
But in such a case I would expect more problems.
If you are a creative cloud subscriber you should additionally install the InDesign version, English with Hebrew support:
Go to the preferences of you CC.app. It is found behind the Gear Symbols on the top right.
When the preferences open, go to the Apps section.
Change the App Language to English with Hebrew support.
Now you can install it. It will install on the very same place where your InDesign program is found some additional plugins, which will give you access to Hebrew functionality, like RTL text. Otherwise you will inherit in the document (and where you copy and paste it from such a document into another one). But now you can change or repair problems.
Now repeatstep 1 + 2, but you need not to install your own language again. InDesign will now, when started, run in the language of your OS (when you have it installed in that language) but with more functionality to handle problems with Hebrew documents.
The same steps you would have to do with Arabic or Asian documents. These languages will also add more plugins. But keep it limitted to those language you need. I have installed it that way, because I get sometime documen where the text flows the wrong direction or the numbers come up in Farsi digit, not in Arabic digits. For such purposes I need versions in languages I don’t understand myself. -
Lets say X is a shell command that will get you into X-shell upon execution. There's a command, a module, Y that can be run only in X-shell. How can I run Y from a C++ code? I need to somehow tell my app that the environment it'll be dealing with will be X-shell and not the Linux shell. I haven't dealt with a case like that before and don't know how to incorporate IPC here. Would I take X-shell as the parent process and the spawned child as module Y? Not sure... I should point out that it's not possible to do something like "X-shell -c Y"; first X-shell has to be executed. Once in the X-shell environment, now Y can be called.

How to use airport express wired and wireless at the same time

I currently have FiOS with Verizon, they ran a coax cable to the Verizon router. I didn't ask them to switch to CAT6 cable since I have an airport extreme base station and an airport express base station (both are the newest generation). I ran a CAT6 cable from the Verizon FiOS router to my AEBS (extreme) to make it the default wireless router. The Verizon router and extreme are in one room. Now, the Airport express is in my living. I'd like to extend the wireless network from the extreme. However, I can't seem to find a way to use both wired and wireless from the airport express at the same time. It's now either via wired, or wiresless. So is there a way to get both work?Can you tell us if you used Apple's instructions for a "roaming" network?

Although the instructions picture a 2nd AirPort Extreme in the illustrations, the setup instructions would be exactly the same for an AirPort Express. -
Network not connecting o internet randomly?
Could anybody help? Need some info about what's happening with my internet connection sometimes.
My setup:
Time Capsule connected to Internet via PPPoE, one TC Ethernet port wired to a Mac Mini. Other TC Ethernet port connected to a wired type router. From this wired router, two of its ports connected to two Airport Express in bridge mode so, extending same network name as TC.
Mac mini is connected to Internet via network cable and to the wireless network in order to print or use airplay in the rest of the house's floors.
Problem seems to be random. Sometimes we 'are unable to connect to internet wireless in either of the rooms.
I don't know if it has something to do with the problem but I think that, when Mac Mini is accessing internet (I suppose via wire), the wireless network is not able to connect to internet.
However if we try to connect via the wireless "guest" network from the TC (Airport Express guest networks disabled), we are able to connect.
Does any body has any idea why is this happening? Appreciate any help on this!A couple of things to check......
PPPoE connections are tricky. What works well for one user may not work for another.
Leave the Service Name area completely blank on the main PPPoE setup page in AirPort Utility.
Experiment by trying the "Always On" and "Automatic" settings in AirPort Utility for the PPPoE setup of the AirPort Extreme to see if one setting might be more reliable than the other.
Other TC Ethernet port connected to a wired type router. From this wired router, two of its ports connected to two Airport Express in bridge mode so, extending same network name as TC.
Make sure that the wired router has been configured to operate in Bridge Mode, not in router mode, since you only want one device.....the AirPort Extreme.....providing DHCP and NAT routing services for the network. -

New Cisco IP SPA 303 - not sure how to use
I received this phone as a gift (long story) but since its an IP phone, I am not sure I have a use for it. I have comcast triple play, and use the old style phone to connect to the jack on the comcast cable modem. However I would like to take advantage of what seems to be alot more features on this IP phone, but it didn't take long to realize just plugging the SW port into my router would do anything outside of assign the phone an IP address.
Can someone spare me the thought of disappointing someone and having to return this phone and tell me how I can make use of it? Its specifially for my home office. For example, do I have to subscribe to a VOIP provider and inherit yet another gadget adapter for my desktop? I looked at vonage and the device they use seems to be the same technology as comcast with the rj45 jack.
Any help appreciated.I'm not sure about connecting it via Comcast Triple Play, but you can use it via Voip, and there are some well recommended inexpensive voip services. Usomo for example, have monthly rates from £2.99 for a basic service, whereas others such as VoipTalk have a business package of £29 if you wanted to use the 303 as a switchboard but my first guess is that you're looking to use it as a single user phone?

Arranging objects on a JPanel (Not sure how to use Layouts)

Not sure how to use Movie Maker with my HP TrueVision HD webcam
I've never used Movie Maker before. When I fire it up and double-click Webcam video in the ribbon I get a splash screen saying "Please Start YouCam"
I assume it is possible to make a video using the build-in webcam, and to save it to disk.
I need some help understanding how to do that.

You know, if you hadn't replied, other people who might be inclined to actually help, might see that there were "0" replies, but now someone may actually think I've received helpful advice and skip it. If that seems harsh, would you mind taking the time to address a couple of meta-issues?
1. You state that Movie Maker is a Microsoft product. Now, my question was how to make Movie Maker work with the built-in camera on my HP laptop. Movie Maker itself seems to launch just fine, but it appears to be unaware of a piece of HP hardware, hence my post to an HP forum. How do you figure it is helpful to inform me (as if I didn't know) that Movie Maker is made by Microsoft? Does it matter if movie maker is made by Acme Software? My problem is essentially that I can't get Movie Maker to see my HP camera. Are you just attempting to scold me for not realizing Movie Maker is not an HP product? Is the forum ONLY to assist people having difficulty with HP software?
2. You write "you might want to read up the instructions." Are you just being passive-aggressive or is this comment actually intended as assistance? Now, I fully expect you to double-down at this point. I know that almost all respondents to forums who make these kinds of remarks never apologize and admit they are simply being critical with no attempt to be helpful. Unless you believe that by stating the obvious, it is helpful. (Do you?) While it is of little value to explain this, let me say that the Microsoft instructions for Movie Maker that I was able to find (note: MM itself does not include a help entry on any of its ribbon menus or sub-menus -- and if you are unaware of that, don't you think you should have investigated it prior to taking on the role of scolder-in-chief for this thread?) did not explain how to activate one's built-in camera. I firmly believe such a help topic is covered somewhere, but I simply couldn't find it after considerable searching. I didn't feel it necessary to point that out in my question -- I guess I just assume people are more charitable or willing to help than was the ONE PERSON WHO COMMENTED AND THUS OFFERED HIS "1" UNDER THE "REPLIES" COLUMN.
3. You ask if my laptop has a built-in camera. You know something? I know my four sentence post was a trifle difficult for some folks to read and understand (OK, now I plead guilty to a charge of passive-agressiveness), but don't you feel the use of the phrase "built-in webcam" (ok, ok, so I misspelled it "build-in" instead of "built-in") should have been a pretty strong clue that my laptop has a webcam?
Well, I wish there was some way to totally delete your extremely condescending and unhelpful response. But maybe someone who actually can offer some assistance will ignore the "1" and make it a "2" for the number of replies.
