Not sure...New Home Built PC Issue

Ok. This was my first attempt at building my budget gaming computer and I purchased a almost complete "Combo Deal" through Newegg and some other things that I needed for it. Now, I put it together now, three times, and the problem I'm having is that the Monitor keeps saying "no signal". Everything is running, fans, lights, etc. Apparently the motherboards BIOS may not be up to date enoughwhich the AMD FX is not recongnized so I purchased an older CPU to update it, still same problem so I can't update the BIOS...Not sure what else to say. Here are the specs:

I'm limited on way to diagnose this process on my own...I've already plugged in the Monitor via VGA to the Graphics Card and to the Motherboard w/ and w/o the Graphics Card still plugged in.

I was checking the specs and there shouldn't be an issue with it not showing a boot signal. Even with outdated bios the fx4100 should still post boot. It sounds like there is something not hooked up. Do you have the 4 pin connector plugged in at the top left of the cpu and obviously the 20-24pin connector is working fine because everything turns on. Ummmmmmm, I have dealt with many issues like this with friends and it always ended up being something up with the graphics card. It could be simply something wrong with the 6pin connectors going to the graphics card. I had a faulty 6pin connector once that did the same thing and it wouldn't give enough power to fully boot my old gtx260. Are you using the 6pin connectors that came with the graphics card or ones that are on your power supply? A buddy of mine had a short in one of his 6pin cords; I literally just wiggled the cords a few times and bam it worked. I'd also try another graphics card if you have one.
Just trying to help one step at a time. It just feels like a graphics card issue since it won't post anything.

XML Bursting program was messed up the report format and output, not sure what is causing an issue

I need burst the report based on the customer number for some customers and burst based on invoice number for some customers in the same bursting program. I have made the changes accordingly and sending email attachments as expected, but when the output sent for as an attachment for each invoice the report does not printing in full format, its completely ignore one child block. Not sure what was the issue. This is very very urgent please help me out.

Iphone camera shutter not opening...not sure if software or hardware issue.

Hey everyone,
So I've had my iphone 4 for about 3 months now. It was working perfectly until last week. The camera shutter will not open for some reason. I can't use the front face or the regular camera. This also does not allow me to facetime. I would turn off the iphone, cancel all the apps, and SOMETIMES it would work, but now it just doesn't. Now the weird thing is that when I downloaded third party camera apps from the apple store, my regular camera was working, but my front face camera was not. Also facebook allows me to snap photos, but not front face photos....
I'm not sure if this is a hardware issue, only because my iphone was working perfect for months before this problem occurred. Should I restore it?
I've had such terrible luck with iphones, if i can't do anything about it and Apple has to replace it, this is the second time i'm going to have to replace the phone since getting the iphone in april.
PLEASE HELP!

Problem with HP Officejet 8620 (just bought it) not sure if Printer or wireless issue.

Alright so hopefully I have put this in the right forum.
I just bought an HP Officejet 8620, and set it up. It printed the test pages fine yet upon trying to print homework it would dissapear in the Print Queue while saying it was "printing". Thus nothing has come out of the printer except test pages so I am in a bit of a bind.
Now the computer brought up a trouble shoot issue stating "problem with wireless network".
To give some back ground on this issue our previous printer HP Officejet 6500A about a month ago starting printing abnormally slow, and eventually reached a crawl not doing anything.
So im not totally lost, yet as of now do not know what is going on.

I see that you are having some connectivity issues when attempting to print wireless.
Please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Well, not sure if I have an issue...

I have a 3-month old MBP. Everything's great, but I have recently noticed the battery losing charge while charging. I start the machine, and the MagSafe light is green. After I open a few windows, I notice the light changes to orange/red... I also notice when charging, the remaining time may say 15 mins remaining until charged, then a few minutes later it may say 25 minutes until charged... I know batteries can lose oomph over time, but is this normal? The battery is rather new -- shows 23 cycles.
I do tend to have multiple windows/sessions open at once, connected to various servers via Citrix, etc... but that's nothing compared to some of the graphics crunching/photo editing/movie editing that many of you do on a daily basis.

I called Apple service for the similar issue before. they told me to clear SMC,PRAM and NVRAM, not very useful to me, but you can have a try.

Not sure if this is an issue or if it's normal...

Every time I go into my Geek Bench to run a Benchmark test, my processing speed changes. It doesn't seem to effect anything it just seemed strange.
These were literlally taken seconds after each other. Last night, it read 1.2GHZ, which I thought was the original speed. Just curious to know. Thank you!!

Turns out, it was a Geekbench issue.

My Mac Safari keep crashing. I have the crash log but not sure how to fix the issue. I have Safari 10.4.11 not in a position to replace it. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

WGM creates new home folders with _unknown user/group, SA can't change it

A little background:
In our school we've got an xserve (about 1.5 yrs old), that was having issues last year. (the OD database pretty much ate itself). in august we did a clean install of 10.5, and updated to 10.5.3 (after suffering through the AFP/OD issues in 10.5.2). Because of the corrupt database from the last server, and the fact that a large number of our accounts have migrated through 4-5 iterations of servers from 9.2 on through 10.4.11, we created all new clean accounts by hand in WGM and moved the user files to the new home folders, changed user and permissions with SA to the new accounts and propogated that info to all the files for each home folder. everything has been going fine since then.
until this week.
the issue was discovered when we tried to create a new staff account (we created several accounts last week with no issue). in WGM everything looked fine. it created the account, assigned it to the proper group, and sucessfully created a home folder. the problem however was when we went into SA to change the permissions. we don't need everybody seeing everyone else's files, so we change the default group and everyone permissions to something more appropriate (don't even get me started on that gripe). When you navigate to the new home folder you just created in WGM, it shows the owner as _unknown (read/write) and group _unknown (read only... I think), Everyone (read only). Server Admin refuses to change the user or group. doesn't matter whether you use the 'show users/group' dialog and drag the account, or whether you edit it manually and insert the short name or UID. when you hit save, it stubbornly reverts back to unknown/unknown for user and group. we've tried creating accounts with different templates, no template, different account names and UID's, all with the same result.
The odd part is that nothing in the OS has changed since we first set it up and created all the users. nothing installed, nothing updated...
We've stayed at 10.5.3 due to the disaster in one of the updates (10.5.5 I think) that many of our other local districts had with network accounts not being able to see their own library folders due to permission issues, as well as the AFP causing 100% CPU use bug reported with 10.5.5
A second, probably related issue is that when browsing home folders in Server Admin filesharing, any files our network users create seem to end up assignedunknown/unknown for user and group (as far back as October it seems). After searching around the net most of the day I came across a lot of info about the _unknown user issues for folks upgrading from 10.4, but these are all newly created 10.5 network users (not local) logging in and working in home folders on the server. The original owners can read/write/delete these files as normal.
Any help would be most appreciated.

ok... I find we were shot in the foot by one of our own.
The quick answer: DO A GET INFO ON THE VOLUME WITH THE SHAREPOINTS! if the 'ignore permissions on this volume' box is checked... UNCHECK IT!
Explaination: not sure how the ignore permissions box got checked, but I don't think it was done directly by human hands. we use Carbon Copy Cloner Ver. 3.something (not sure which at this point) to back up both our data (daily) and server (weekly) drives to remote storage. by striking coincidence, things started saving with _unknown user and group about the same time as crash reporter shows that CCC hosed itself. My guess is that CCC temporarily ignores permissions (as shown in the status when you do a clone) and then resets them to their original state. when it crashed, it looks like they were still set to ignore, so it happily set it back to that state every time it ran after that. not sure why the account creation issue suddenly turned up after so long... In any event, it turns out that if you have sharepoints on a server volume, AND you set the OS to ignore permissions on that volume, BAD things happen (I'm not sure it should even be an option on a shared volume, but that's for the engineering folks to figure out.) .... specifically, the symptoms above. if you login as root (yeah, I know that's something you should never do) and uncheck the ignore permissions box on the volume, then log into WGM, as root (yeah, yeah, I know... even worse) and set ALL of the Directory Administrator accounts to 'do not administer this server', and no change rights for the directory, save those settings, and then set them back to 'administer this server', and FULL rights to change the open directory, save again. and then WAIT until the drives stop going nuts... after that everything works fine.

Safari 7 will not open multiple home Tabs

I have my home page tabs properly set for safari to open 4 sites when Safari is started. On my Mac Pro(Mid 2010), they do not open properly in Mavericks on Safari startup. However, if I click File>New Tab, all of the startup tabs open, along with a new, blank tab.
On my Macbook Pro, they open properly. I've searched the forums for this behavior. I do NOT have glims, so I'm not sure what is causing the issue.
Any advice on how to solve this issue would be appreciated.

Try deleting the cache.db associated with Safari.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

Home Button & Microphone Issues

I have some strange behavior on my iPhone. First of all the home button does not work at all. To get "home" I actually have to turn my phone off and on again. 2nd I cannot use the build in microphone to actually talk on the phone. Using the Memo application I can tell that the microphone is in fact working. And no, I don't have the microphone muted when I use the phone.
Does anyone know how to handle deal with this? I have no warranty anymore. Can these 2 issues in fact be connected somehow?

Hi! I have a similar problem with my iphone. Without any warning signal, yesterday the built-in microphone of the iphone start to have several problems: once I started a phone call, he drammatically decrease voice quality in few seconds and I have to insert original headset+mic to finish the conversation. I really don't know what can be happened... It doesn't seems a hardware problem...
I've tried a total reset (with a backup restart) and I'm not sure it will resolve the issue. Has anyone a better suggestion? Thanks

Why does my hypem (hype machine) extension/add-on just keep saying "waiting" ?? ( not sure if this is a crash xD )

Downloaded the HypeM extension/add-on.
When i log on to the site and attempt to use this add-on it just keeps saying "waiting".
When clicked, "waiting" just sends me to the home page of HypeMachine.
Not sure if this is an issue on Mozilla's end or HypeM's.

Siri Can't Post To Facebook "Sorry I'm afraid I can't post to your Facebook, I'm not sure what happened" iOS 8.3

I've had trouble with this for quite a while now. Not sure what the issue is. I have an iPhone 6+ running the current software iOS 8.3 & when I try to post a Facebook status through Siri she responds with something along the lines of "I'm sorry. I can't post to your Facebook. I'm not sure what happened." Not sure what's causing this issue as I have the Facebook app installed on my iPhone as well as being signed in through the settings app. Note: this is an issue only with Facebook. She is able to post tweets with no with no issue.

Not sure if this is a iCloud or Wi-fi issue. Why can't I put my new playlists onto my iPod Touch?

A month or so ago, I bought a new MacBook Pro for myself, an iMac for the wife, a 2TB TimeCapsule iCloud and Music Match. The whole 9 yards. Since then, I have't been able to put new playlists onto my iPod Touch. When I plug it in and switch to the "Music" tab for the iPod, I get " iTunes Match is On. Brian's Newest iPod can access music in iCloud. Songs can be downloaded and played via Wi-Fi or a cellular network."
Well, no I can't. The reason I know this is because yesterday, I was given two brand new music CDs, which I uploaded onto the MacBook Pro. Made a new "AC/DC" playlist and everthing. And now I can't get this playlist or any new playlist onto my Pod. Looking for "AC/DC" under the "Artist" tab or "Back in Black" on my iPod does't work either.
This is Gawd-Awful annoying. I don't WANT to play everything from Wi-Fi or cellular network. (Don't need/want an iPhone-that shouldn't count again me, should it?) The whole point of buying a 32 GB iPod was because I am usually not on a network of any type during most of my day. How do I get the stinkin' music onto it?
Maybe I am missing the point of both iCloud and Music Match. I thought the second allowed me to download better versions of all the songs I have on my computers. (Was that payment a one-time thing or will I have to pony up each year, btw?) And iCloud meant that I could listen to any and all of my songs on anything with an Apple Logo on it via wi-fi. But is that the only way?

Nope, though it did allow me to get some missing songs back onto my iPod. That's something. But neither "Back in Black" or "Dirty Deeds" show up anywhere on the Touch. Could this be because iTunes has no deal with AC/DC?
Quite frankly, at this point, I'd really rather not have the "ease of use" of iCloud attached to the iPod. It's not like I change my playlists that much. It would just be nice to get what I want onto my MP3 player. Not sure which one it was: iCloud, Music Match or the Air Port but the only real result of all the $ I plunked down is seeing all of my Wife's 231 Christmas songs popping up on my laptop. Really don't want them here. She SURE AS **** is sick of seeing all of my stuff on her computer.
