Not sure what soundblaster i got
So I bought a used soundblaster online. It's just the card, no box and whatnot. Seller advertised it as a SB X-Fi Fatalty pro.
After I plugged it in and installed the drivers, the system prompt me to register the product right? In 'Creative Product Registration' screen, the system detected 'Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite'.
Is this really the product description for the Fatalty series?
Coz the physical appearance of the X-Fi elite pro and the Fatalty looks the same and i can't tell for sure. Or is this just wishful thinking. lol

in device manager, dxdiag, the description only comes up as SB X-Fi Audio E800
So the Fatalty card and the Elite pro card are practically the same. The only difference is the Elite pro is bundled with the console and the remote. Did I get you right?

Ok I got my computer worked on to remove viruses so I had to reinstal itunes now everythings gone from my itunes tried to sync my ipod it won't sync my music ,apps, or pictures back to itunes it says an ipod should only be synced with one itunes library and im supposed to have only one it gives me a choice to erase and sync or tranfer purchases so I click tranfer purchases so I get a error message itunes was unable to load class information from sync services Reconnect or try later I am not sure what to do.

Hi there not sure what I did wrong but got a message asking if I would allow the application config but was warned by commputer not to now I can't log into some sites and others won't load properly, some sites will log in but only if the stay logged in box is not checked,I'v have cleared my cashe and internet history looked through securtity setting but nothing, anyone had this problem and has any advice?

I have been trying to purchase points for a slot machine game using my iTunes gift card. It subtracted the right about of $$$ but never gave me my points....not sure what I am doing wrong.

I updated my iphone 5 to ios 6.0.2. my wifi says its connected but doesn't work now. It doesn't matter what wifi network I connect to. It worked before updating my phone. I can no longer use facetime or use wifi at all. I'm not sure what to do to fix it.
I'm having similar issues with my phone. I got my first iPhone recently, only had an iPod touch gen4 for a little over a year. Updated to 6.0.2 when we got the phone (iPhone 5) a few days before Christmas. When I got home on the evening of January 11, my phone would not connect the router anymore. I was able to get it to connect after resetting the phone and the router, updating the router, and manually connecting. That laste for a few minutes and then wouldn't work anymore. I live in an area with very limited service, we have a network extender installed to help, and I am barely getting a 3G signal at times.
My wife's iPad 4, my touchiPod 4, and all of our laptops are working just fine on the router. When I dropped my kid off at school today, I noticed that I am not even seeing the school network anymore from the parking lot where before I got 3 or 4 bars and could connect to their wifi when I was there. Today my phone goes back and forth between seeing my home network but not connecting, to not even seeing the network at all even from the same room that the router is in.

My Airport wireless is working for my two MacBook Pros and my daughter's iPod, but our iPad, Iphone and other iPod all say they need to set up an Airport Base Station but do not have the proper software. I'm not sure what to do to remedy this situation.
This might sound like a silly question, but are you sure the iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch etc.) are still trying to connect to the same network from your own Airport router, as the MacBook Pros are? If you tap Settings on them, is the network name next to where it says Wi-Fi, the right one?
I've got a weird feeling that either in the past couple of days, a neighbour got an Airport device and hasn't set it up yet (causing your iOS devices to try to help), or that perhaps there's an issue with your Airport router and they're noticing it and trying to help out, while for whatever reason, Airport Utility isn't opening itself on the MacBook Pros like it normally should if there's a problem.
If you open Airport Utility on one of the MacBook Pros, does it report any problems with your Airport device, and can you view/edit the settings on it? -

Not sure what what is on my homehub!
So got a new PC, and generally on the hub whatever I named the device comes up! However, i'm not sure what device my new pc is and even if its connected and don't see it on the homepage as connected. I have a homehub version 2.
The reason I need to know is because I need to forward some ports on the device

Only way to identify what is happening is remove the other items from the hub. Switch off all the devices in your house except the PC. Open the Home Hub Browser page and go to the Home Network page. Initially it will show all the devices that have ever connected to the hub. Press the reset button. You should now only have one device listed (the PC). If all the devices disappear (and you are connected via WiFi) then open another browser tab and go to the BBC iPlayer page and start watching a program. Switch back to Home Hub Browser web page and press the reset button again. It should then appear. If it is listed as "Unknown-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx" then click on it and change it's name to something meaningful.
In your IPConfig window was the IPv4 Address: 192.168.1.xxx or 10.xxx.xxx.xxx?
Actually if it is a Windows 7 PC then the name should be filled in for you. It will match the PC's name allocated to it by Windows. See Post 2 above to find out your PC's Windows name.
On the MAC address front (from IPConfig), your PC may have more than one entry if it has an Ethernet network port, WiFi, Firewire, or Bluetooth ports. Check all of them against the hub's list.

today my mac won't turn on at all...the light at the front is remaining on and at a constant brightness however the screen is still black! I'm not sure what to do next?
If you can log in blindly or using the flashlight method, it is possible your screen brightness somehow got set all the way to nothing. I don't have my Macbook with me right now to test it out but I believe it may not be possible to adjust the brightness at the log-in screen so you have to be able to log in first (though I could be wrong on that).

My new iPhone won't activate. I tried to and it didn't work i'm not sure what to do.

I recently bought an Iphone off a woman at work. She had just bought it for her daughter to listen to music on and play games. She said it was showing the "connect to itunes" symbol. When i got it, i hooked it to my computer and Itunes just tells me the phone cant be activated. Itunes doesn't give me an option to restore the phone. I'm not sure what the carrier is for the phone, but there isn't a slot for a sim card. How can i restore this phone?
If the iPhone does not include a SIM card slot, this means the iPhone is a Verizon phone.
Not sure how the daughter of this woman you work with was able to use the iPhone just to play music and games without activating the iPhone with Verizon - if the iPhone was purchased new. None of a new iPhone functions work without activating the iPhone with cellular service. And if purchased new, that was one expensive iPod Touch for her daughter to use if the iPhone was purchased without a contract or the contract was cancelled paying Verizon's early contract termination fee.
I would return the iPhone to her and get your money back. -
My 2011 intel dual core duo iMac apparently has "Airport" ans apparently it is "on" although the icon (upper right) is gray. When I click on the <gray> airport icon it says it's "on" and the option is to turn it off.

For the router I suggest you consider one of the three Apple AirPort Base Stations, not only because it will be easier to get help with using them on this website, but they are generally regarded as the most reliable wireless routers. Technical support directly from Apple is free for the first 90 days.
Slightly cheaper alternatives exist. I have tried other manufacturer's wireless routers, and I don't recommend them. -
i got my nano as a gift last summer and it has worked great but now... the only way that i can listen to it is when it is plugged in my car. this is the only way i have found so far to allow it to turn on. i tried resetting it but that didn't work. and i can't update or restore it since it doesn't turn on when i plug it in my computer.
when it is plugged into the computer, it shows the low battery symbol but won't do anything else. i know that it is fully charged (at least it says it is when i unplugged it from my car)not sure what i should try next. please can anyone help me fix it without it costing me a ton...thanksTry going to this link and see if the instructions there help.

After restoring to factory settings/new iPod you will then have to restore from backup
To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
