My new itouch5 will not sync movies purchased from itunes thatsare saved in my itunes library.

    Mike, Hi
Thanks for yoursuggestions. I did see that article, tried correcting the permissions, looked at a few of the other things, but this doesn't make sense. This would only be the second computer that had these purchased songs on them. SO the 5 computer limit should have nothing to do with it.
The weird thing is how the computer tells me that it's not authorized to play the purchased songs and gives me the opportunity to put in either an AOL code or an Apple ID code to authorize this computer to play the song. I do it. I get a message that, congratulations, the computer has been successfully authorized to play the song. But then it simply does not play and when you try to play it it just recycles right back to the original message saying that the computer is not authorized.

  • Not syncing movies or music

    Hi all,
I am having problems with my daughter's Ipod (3rd gen). IT will not sync music or movies, but will sync games with no problems. Have restarted the computer, reset the ipod both through itunes and on the ipod.
    Any suggestions gratefully received.
    Sam

    Thanks for your response B-Rock.
+I'm guessing you have your iPod set up to automatically sync with your iTunes library correct?+
Guess so, how do I check this.
+Otherwise, are you receiving any error messages?+
Of the numerous times I tried to sync, I had one error message that said "the ipod cannot be synced. the required disk cannot be found." Seems to be happening a bit more regularly this morning.
+Do you have the "Sync only checked songs and videos" option enabled from under the Summary tab? If so, make sure each song and movie you wish to sync has a tick mark next to it in your iTunes library or disable the option+
Yes we have the sync only selected song, and have ticked the relevant ones. Any other suggestions?

I have not synced the movies I have purchased on my iPad to any other devices as yet and want to know if I can retrieve the movies from iTunes later if I removed them now without syncing first? • IPOD Touch will not sync Movies

I have an Ipod touch, that will only sync 2 out of 6 movies that i have. I have recently purchased Zombieland and for some reason it will not sync to my ipod. It will play in my itunes, i can see it on my list of movies to sync, but when i click it ( and i have it clicked on only sync movies) it does not sync at all to my ipod. i have already reset my ipod touch twice and it is still doing this. it is also doing with with several other movies. what do i need to do to fix this?

    Hello LCGalletti,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
Are you receiving any error messages while trying to sync these movies? How do you have your iPod configured to sync movies from under the Movies tab? Do you manually manage your iPod's contents?
Perhaps these videos are just not compatible. If that is the case, highlight the video in iTunes and choose "Create iPod or iPhone version" from the Advanced drop down menu. Then try resyncing these movies to your iPod.
If they are purchases from the iTunes store, make sure you are trying to sync the *Standard Version* and not the *High Definition* version.

  • Will not sync movies, rentals, or videos

Itunes will not sync my movies, rentals, nor videos i have bought from itunes.
This is my 3rd ipod classic given to me by the apple store to "fix" the problem that has yet to be "fixed". It will sync the very first time i plug it in as in, just straight out of the package. but never again will it sync. i have tried loading it maunally but that doesnt work either. and since all the people do at the store is hand me a new one i have no other options.

I am having a similar issue.
I am using iTunes 7.7 and an 80gb Classic set to auto sync when connected. The iPod is brand new and this is my first that supports video. I had one TV show in my library that sync'd with no issue. I can check/uncheck and load/unload that TV show all I want. However, I have a 1gb .mp4 movie that simply will not sync. It's in my Movies in iTunes. I even made a playlist with just that movie.
On the iPod settings page, the music tab has "include music videos". The Movies tab has "Sync all movies" checked and "All Movies" selected. I've also tried all the other possible settings to sync just this movie file.
So today I "rented" a movie from iTunes. When trying to move it onto the iPod, it transfers completely then give me an error - "The rented movie ... could not be transferred to the ipod ... because an unknown error occured (OxE00002BE)"
I have yet to switch from auto-sync to manual and try simply dragging and dropping.
    Any other suggestions?
    Thanks!

  • IPad will not sync movie

I puirchased and downloaded a movie from iTunes and it is my library.  However, when I sync my iPad with my iTunes, this movie remains in my library and does not sync to the iPad.  I have two previously synced movies on my iPad, but the most recent purchase will not sync.  I have the check in "Sync Movies" and "all".  How do I get the most recent movie to the iPad.

Do you have some sort of age restricted content setting preventing the movie from syncing in Settings>General>Restrictions?
Are you using the correct Apple ID on the iPad - the same one that you used to buy the movie?
Do you have enough space left on the iPad to allow the movies to sync? Settings>General>Usage>Storage? See how much space you have left on the iPad.

  • Itunes does not sync movies to ipod what can I do?

I try to sync movies from Itunes to my Ipod. I can sync it from Itunes and it does say completed but there is no movie on my I pod.
    What can I do?

    1. Reboot methods. The first thing to do is try to reboot the iPhone, which you can do by holding the top button and the home button for about ten seconds. In some cases, the iPhone is actually still on, but a bug stops the screen from displaying anything, so you can reverse the problem by doing the reboot. If you still see nothing on the screen, try to plug the iPhone in and again try the reboot methods to see if you can get the screen to display.
    2. Restoring the iPhone. If the iPhone shows up in iTunes, but it still doesn't seem to turn on, it's definitely a display problem. When rebooting fails, you can restore the iPhone from iTunes, and this should fix whatever bugs caused the original issue. Realize that you'll have to reload your music if you restore to another software version. To restore, plug the iPhone in, go into iTunes and click the iPhone's icon on the side of the select screen. Click on the restore button and agree to the prompt asking if you really want to restore the iPhone's software.
    3. Recovery mode. You can put the iPhone into recovery mode if it has a charged battery by holding down the home button before connecting it to iTunes, then continuing to hold the button until iTunes recognizes that the iPhone's in recovery mode. Recovery mode is a bare-bones way of booting the iPhone that allows you to perform a restore when you're dealing with a serious issue such as the iPhone failing to turn on or display anything on its screen.
    4. Last resort options. If you still can't get any response from the iPhone, you may have a bad battery or shorted out electronics. This is far from an ideal situation, but if you've got a warranty open with Apple, it's covered. If you don't, you can send the iPhone away for repair, but it will cost you a bit to replace the damaged components. Stop by an AT&T store and they may be able to give you a loaner phone in the meantime so that you don't lose your ability to make and receive phone calls until your iPhone is repaired.

  • Ipod touch 3rd gen not syncing movies

Today after about 4 years with the same movies on my Ipod touch third gen i decided to change what i had on my device. so i started up itunes for the first time in a few years pluged my device in and it connects no problem. i move all the movies i have into my itunes library. note all the movies are in a .mp4 format. they move into my library no problem. back up my device no problem. i check off in my library all the movies i want to sync along with in my sync settings to sync all videos. when i go to sync i get the warning that all current videos will be erased and replaced with the new movies. i agree and away the sync goes. the sync says it has 4 steps it runs the first 3 steps that are back up and prepare to sync steps but when it reaches step 4 i see it says waiting for changes to be applied but that lasts for half a second then the sync ends. i know it doesnt take half a second to load almost 10 GB. and on i pod touch third gen the movies didnt sync along with all my old movies are gone. i try again and again but no luck.
    Any ideas?

trying to sync my daughter's nano and movies are now not recognized (nor are tv shows)...our music/movies have been added to the cloud- does that matter?

Windows XP   8gb 2nd gen Ipod Nano (Black), 4gb 1st gen Nano (Black)
Ok take a loof at this article. It goes through a series of possible things that may be going on as to why your iPod is not showing in windows and/or iTunes. Some won't apply at all and some may. Note that at the begining of the article it suggests you check and go through all things in the article to make sure. The final suggestion is that your iPod may need servicing or replacement. After going through everything in the suggestion and it does not work I would go with that idea and suggest that you contact Apple (unless you purchased at a retailer and are still within their return period...then I would suggest taking it back to that retailer for an exchange.).
    Good luck!

  • IPhone 4 will not sync movies after updating to ios7???

I have not been able to sync my movies and videos on to my iphone since i updated to ios7. Also been having problems syncing music, the process never starts adding the files....

This is almost embarassing. For some totally unexplainable reason all the songs in iTunes were unchecked. I was considering syncing the whole iTunes library to my iPnone, tut even with the 32 Gb version it would not hold it all. I restarted my MBP, and the message about the unchecked songs came up. It obviously is not enough to have songs checked for the iPhone. Thanks anyway.
