Not syncing all Mp4 video files

Hi, I hope someone can solve this for me it has been bugging me for almost a week now and I give up. When I sync my ipod it won't seem to sync some of the tv shows and some of the movies. I have double checked and they are all Mpeg4 when I import them into itunes. Here is what I have tried for both the movies & Tv Shows with no sucess
1. Choosing the sync all option
2. Choosing the sync selected only
3. Creating a playlist with the ones not syncing
4. Restoring my ipod
5. I have checked that I have the most up to date software for both itunes & iod and run diagnostics. both are fine
The only difference I have spotted between the files that will sync and the ones that won't is that the ones that sync have a bitrate of 125kbps and the others are 80kbps. But they all play fine for me in tunes. I have version 8 of Itunes. Any help would be grately appreciated as I am going on holidays soon and really wasn to bring along my fav. tv shows and movies.

With the newest verison of itunes is not syncing all of my files to my ipod - this is so frustrating! I have taken itunes/quicktime completely off my dell and reloaded with the newest version of itunes/quicktime. Changed to manually managing my ipod files. Same problem here, same application versions. I'm trying to get them to sync to an iPhone but it doesn't actually sycnc. They play without issue in iTunes. I converted them from flac to Apple lossless using dbpoweramp.
Any suggestions would be helpfull

Nokia Lumia mp4 videos files

Ive just transferred my micro sd card out of my Samsung tocco lite into my Nokia lumia 520 windows phone, the 520 will not play the MP4 video files on the sd card that I shot on the samsung and comes up with the error code c00d5212,the resolution of the MP4 photos are 320 x 240,according to the phone spec the Nokia is suppose to play MP4 files, anybody help please.

Have you tried reinserting and removing the memory card? You can also see this link: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsphone/develop to know more about the supported video formats.
You can also try to convert it to another supported format using a converter software then check if it will work.

5th Gen iPod Video not syncing all video podcasts

My 5th Gen iPod video is not syncing all of my video podcasts.
I did specify in the settings to sync all videos, but for some reason it only places 3 of each on the iPod. This is using the latest version of iTunes, OS X 10.4.8, and iPod up-to-date.
This did work fine with the previous version of iTunes and only seemed to happen since the "upgrade".
I've tried restoring the ipod - didn't work
Reinstalled iTunes - didn't work
Rebooted system - didn't work
Undocked/Redocked iPod - didn't work
Please Help.

Assuming you're running iTunes 7, connect the iPod and wait for it to appear in the iTunes source list. When it does, click on it, and click on the 'podcast' tab. Make sure it is set to sync all podcasts. Check the 'video' tab as well.
iTunes 7 included several new options for setting just how the iPod will update in iTunes. So, it's a good idea to go through them and make sure they're set exactly how you'd like them to be.

My IPhoto library will not sync all my photo's and videos to my IPhone 4. It comes up well short every time. After syncing, I get a message, "example 1171 photo's could not be synced, please see Itunes for help". I have lots of space/gb on my Iphone, so I'm confused. I've done a factory reset and done all the usual stuff, but to no avail. My Iphone is a 32gb IPhone 4, my IMAC is OS10.6.8 and my IPhoto is IPhoto 08. I appologise in advance if i'm posting in the wrong place, so please no nasty trolls. I just need good, honest, kindly advice and a solution to this. I use my IPhone as a further external backup for my photo's

Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for the iPod Photo Cache.
Trash it. Start iPhoto and try sync again.

Did the back and forth between PC and Mac file systems screw up my files somehow?
Yes. Unfortunately the move has almost certainly caused the loss of the resource data that would have been (invisibly) attached to those files.
By adding a specific .mov extension after the fact you will have helped the Mac correctly identify the file type / asscoiations but also significantly you will have physically changed the filename eg from "clip" to "clip.mov". This means that when you come to reconnect the media in FCP , then FCP will be looking for files that no longer exist at the given path eg when specifically looking for our example clip called "clip" of course it won't find it.
Try this as a test... first remove the ".mov" extension from one or more of the clips, select those clips and press Cmd-Opt-I to open an Info window for the selection. You'll see an "Open with:" popup and in that popup you should choose QuickTime Player (if its a Unix Executable then it will initially list Terminal as the appropriate app, you have to choose Other... then in the open dialog choose Enable > All Applications and then navigate to and select the Quicktime Player app as the appropriate app). After you've done that restart FCP and see if you can now reconnect to those clips.

Autoplay is not universally supported by all devices. Many smatphone data plans can't handle the burden of preloaded and auto playing media. There's nothing you can do to change this b/c mobile devices simply ignore the parameter.   All that said, why are you still using player plugins? You don't need them with HTML5 video.

Cannot Add MP4 Video File!!! HELP!!!

I have got the 80GB IPod and have added a few videos, each MP4 files about 164MB in size. However, when i tried to add a MP4 video file that is 216MB it does not upload into my library? It is definately the correct file type and I have about 73GB left in memory so what could the problem be?

They are not formatted correctly.
Just because a file is mp4 does not guarantee it is
playable by the iPod.

PS. Hard drive space is not referred to as memory-it
is storage space. You have 73 GB of storage space
left, not memory.
It IS formatted correctly, it has all the attributes mentioned in the video file format supported by IPod mentioned above and the file is identical (apart from it is 216MB opposed to 164MB) to the other video files already stored on my IPod.

Mp4 video files in SWFs- How to embed?

The Flash Player 9.0.115 and up can play mp4 files, but getting them in the swf to begin with is not easy!
Below are three different methods I've tried, and the results.
• Instance A: I place an FLVPlayback Component on the stage, but it is not possible to set the source video if it is .m4v, .mp4, or .f4v, or flv.
• Instance B: If I encode a video file as an f4v, I can use actionscript 3 to set the source to an F4V encoded file, but only IF I change the file extension to .flv . If I keep it as f4v. The video won't play.

• Instance C: Streaming works. All you have to do is add an mp4: prefix to the file, or in some cases, remove the file extension altogether.

ITunes 11 deletes newly added m4v and mp4 video files!

I'm really loathing the new iTunes for a number of reasons.. but this one really takes the cake!
When I try to add an M4V or MP4 video file, iTunes deletes the file and does not add it to the library!
I never had any issues with 10.7.. and seeing as there is no way of reverting back that I can find.. any help in how to solve this... or is this one of those wonder new "feature's" I now have to contend with?

Are you frustrated that whether you drag and drop your video files to iTunes 11, or add video files from “Add files to Libray” or “Add folder to Libray”, nothing is imported even though the files are in iTunes 11 supported MP4, MOV or M4V video format.
If iTunes 11 won’t import MP4, MOV or M4V, first make sure your install QuickTime Player. Even though you hire VLC or Perian or any other media player to take care of your video playback instead of QuickTime, you still need to install QuickTime in order to add video to iTunes 11 for transfer to iPad, iPod, iPhone or Apple TV.
f you install QuickTime player but still can’t add MP4, MOV, M4V to iTunes 11, there is no other solution but to convert MP4, MOV, M4V to iTunes 11 supported video MP4.

Can't sync all the video into my iphone 3GS

recently I found out that i cannot sync all my video into my iphone 3GS even all the format is .mp4. when i want to convert it into iphone format hoping that it will help through the videora, the videora cannot even find all those file that is cannnot be sync into the iphone. any idea what is the problem here? is the file problem? or iphone got any limit on file size or number of file to be sync? thanks for sharing....

Before you restored it, did you check that box on the sync screen that downconverts the songs to a slower bitrate? That's the only thing that I can think of other than you adding more of other things (apps, pictures, videos, etc.) this time around but not the last time

Hi, You need to rename the file with only 8 letters/numbers in the name plus the prefix eg 12345678.mp4 same needed for photos 12345678.jpg :-) Good luck
