Well, it may not have been the launch of the decade, in fact in some ways it was a shambles, but this should not detract from the fact that LR is a great product.
Well done to the LR development team and thanks for something that is far more intuitive and easy to learn and use than the gargantuan Photoshop.

It appears you bought iPhone 5 in Georgia's gray market. As you are already aware that Apple does not sell iPhones in that country. The iPhone in question was most likely sold by Apple or its Authorized reseller in USA.
Warranty or Out of warranty services for iPhones are provided by Apple only in the country of sale by Apple, USA in your case.
It needs to be presented in any Apple Store in USA for evaluation. They will offer you a refurbished Similar iPhone for a price*.
If you want to change it to iPhone 5S, you need to sell this one on your own and buy a new iPhone of your choice.

I did read the help and went through the tutorial - the butterfly text wrap (and the wrap around the curved contour of the bicycle wheel at the Apple store) is the reason I am asking this question. I don't know how to use one of my own pictures and tell Pages what contour to wrap around. Is there some additional image editing software that I need to "creatively crop" one of my own pictures, so that Pages will be able to wrap around that contour?

Here's what I do when transferring from one profile to another, on the same computer.
Go to "organize bookmarks", click on "bookmark toolbar", click on any bookmark in that category, click on menu "organize", click "select all", click on "organize" again, click "copy".
Then close firefox, start it again with the other profile, go to "organize bookmarks", click on "bookmark toolbar", click "organize", click "paste".
Now if you are moving to another computer, try save the copied content to a text file and move that text file to the other computer, then use "paste" inside firefox.

So here's the story, a friend of mine had some problems with her Nokia n900, living in Canada we had to buy it from an asian mall but it sill had the warranty and everything so cool. Anyway, she calls Nokia in Canada, they send her a box with shipping and everything, cool so far, right?
Wrong, they then send the unit back with a broken screen and pry marks where they tried to get into it. She calls them, obviously furious and they tell her they can't do anything and the reason she sent it back was because it's an American model. They told her to contact Nokia in the US, so she did.
Chapter 2: they at first, without even looking at it, say they can't do anything, then after talking to a supervisor she finally gets them to consider it, supervisor says she will call back... 3 weeks later no call, so we try calling them and the supervisor is never there and there are no notes on the account.
Eventually we get in contact with her and she says to send the phone in and they will replace it, awesome! Only not... We send it in using the directions they told us to follow, but the person who received it never read any of the directions, they just opened it and fixed it, then wanted us to pay shipping back. (like $30). Since we were told that the unit would be replaced this made us pretty mad, and now they were absolutely refusing to replace it.
We eventually get a hold of the supervisor again who said she would try to sort it out, we get a phone call weeks later saying its been replaced and shipped out.
She opens the box... And its the same one but with a new screen.
After trying to call Nokia back about it, they are refusing to replace it now that we have it.
Now she doesn't want to have to deal with it anymore but I am getting pretty upset... .
If anyone can offer me any assistance or where I could post this to get assistance, that would be great.

Slower than slow. Not the first I know but have some questions please.

Hello fellow Verizon users. First let me tell you about my pc. It's second hand, HP Pavilion, Windows Vista, 32-bit, Windows 7, sp2. Hope this helps. My router is Gateway Westell 7500.
I have been reading the replies to others who have posted that their connections are very slow, but do not understand the replies and don't have the technical know-how to report back all of the info.
There was one link that I did click on where I typed in the IP address and it brought up my router information. All but two headings read that , more or less if you don't know what you are doing..Don't! However I did write one thing down. One was the down speed which is 3360 Kbps, and the up speed is 864 Kbps. Does this say anything about why my internet is so slow?
In task manager I noticed that there is information .... Processes, performance, CPU Usage and so forth. Although these numbers mean nothing to me, do these stats say anything about why I am having this issue? I was told at one time that the Services tab that shows a listing of the names and status of functions that are running, needs to be cleaned up. Here again, I do not know what these functions are and what they are for.
When I first signed on with Verizon High Speed Internet, everything ran fine and fast. I have talked to tech support about this and they took control over my pc, but did not fix anything.
Off of the topic, but when I would try to get help on Verizon Help Page, all I'd get is IE Cannot Display This Webpage. Called tech support and they installed Google Chrome. So what did that do? Anyway....
Also, when the Verizon Internet Security Suite is scanning while I am online, most of the websites stop responding or it takes so long to open a website that I just shut down.
I am at a loss here and getting ready to trash the thing. Could it be the router, or something else? I have cleaned up, done defragging, deleted cookies and so forth.

Sounds like you've done much of what would cover a slow computer. if the system, booted into either Windows Vista or Windows 7 isn't feeling slow it's most likely something up with the Internet connection. We'll sort that out for you and also work with anything that needs to be tweaked on the PC to get the most out of the service.
We've established one thing already. Your line is synchronized properly for 3Mbps service, which is 3360/864kbps. This also signifies you are on G.DMT ADSL or another ADSL1 standard. ADSL2 and ADSL2+ modes display different sync rates for the same speed.
If you could, can you supply to us a Speed Test from this website: http://web100.rit.edu:7123/ (needs Java) or for that matter, use http://www.speedtest.net/ to supply a speed test? The second site is easier to get results from as it gives you an image link. The first test is often more reliable for testing but you'll need to take a screenshot as lately they haven't been allowing Clipboard access due to tightened browser security.
In addition, if your service feels slow, does it only feel like this during the evening and night time hours or is it like this constantly, even in the morning?
Since you mentioned the machine getting really slow during a VISS scan, that makes me wonder: How much RAM is installed in your system? To find out go to the Start Menu, right click on Computer and then click on Properties. Under "Memory" it will display how much memory the system has, and if there is a certain amount of memory that can be used. Knowing that bit of information would be good too since a virus scan should not cause slow net performance unless the machine itself is loaded down. Your browser should be operating in RAM and using limited disk resources (which virus scans consume, due to Disk I/O).

Safari launches, but no visible page opens

As of about 5 hours ago, Safari will no longer display an open web page under my user account settings. The app does launch, but nothing appears on the desktop, in spite of the fact that web pages appear to open [that is, when I quit the app I get the dialog 'Safari is about to close x number of pages--proceed?']. However, nothing is visible on the desktop. Safari continues to launch normally on other user accounts on this machine, and Firefox will run normally under my account. Suggestions?

I have the exact problem! In fact when this happens, and it just started this week, I can File Open New Window...then when nothing happens, and I Quit Safari, it will ask if I want to close 2 (or 3 or however many times I've tried to open a new window). Also, there was audio playing on a website last night and the audio continued, but the windows disappeared.. So, there is something that's making the window disappear, but not actually close the windows. Only a full Restart fixes this, and then it happens again.
(it may have something to do with a flash or other plugin, but I haven't been able to isolate this yet)

I suspect that you installed an extension that hides some menu items thru user settable preferences.

How to void Unused Checks in a Check Lot which is not the next free check?

Hi Guys,
Our Accounts Payable Supervisor received a new Check Lot from the Bank. He did not get some of the checks in the lot, as they got damaged by the manufacturer.
Actually I can create 3 different Check Lots by avoiding the damaged checks. But, Accounts Payable Supervisor wants a single cheque lot and voiding those destroyed is the preferred option for him, so we have an audit trail.
By using FCH3 I can only void used check(s) or the next available unused check(s) but not the check(s) some where in between the range.
Please tell m how I go about it...

As you said, I can split Check Lot by avoiding the damaged checks.
But our Accounts Payable Supervisor don't want me to split the Cheque Lot.
He wants a single cheque lot and void some of the unused checks(which were already destroyed).
He is preferring this option because of Audit Trail.
But by using transaction code FCH3, I can only void the next available unused check but not the unused checks some where in the check lot.
So please tell me how to void cheques (not the next available cheque, but the cheques somewhere in the cheque lot) and splitting cheque lot is not the option for us.

Almost figure out the DVD Export Function, but...

Slowly getting there with trial and error. Got my film exported using QuickTime Movie. Not the quality I want, but it's what I've been able to figure out so far. My only real problem is the audio being over-modulated (distorting). The only thing I've done is apply normalization to the entire soundtrack. I'm still getting distortion.
Any and all help is appreciated

That will be the BEST quality you are gonna get, if you exported a QT Movie, using the sequence settings and making it self contained...and NOT recompressing. That is basically a digital copy of your footage from the timeline into a single QT file. Ain't gonna get better than that.
My only real problem is the audio being over-modulated (distorting).
Do you hear this over modulation in the timeline? You should be getting EXACTLY what you have in the timeline. If you don't, if things are different, then you did something wrong.
What are the peak levels? And are your speakers cheap? Or good?

On Mac 10.6.8 running Firefox 11 one account works fine, while on the other FF appears to launch but will not open a window.

On an iMac using OS 10.6.8 and Firefox 11, one account runs FF just fine but another account on the same machine does not. FF appears to launch...the control bar appears at the top of the screen and a light comes on below the icon...but no window opens. Clicking on a link in an email brings same result.

OOOOPS! Standing in the shower this morning I realized what the problem was. A visiting nephew showed my wife & I a YouTube video and displayed it on the big screen TV by dragging the FF window to the TV while logged-in to my wife's account. When we finished watching the video we switched the TV input back to TV and never dragged the window back to the computer screen. Happy to report all is now working as it should.
