Not Transfer CATS Cost to PM

Hi,
Is it possible to only transfer Hours from CATS to PM but not the cost?
Any suggestion on configiguration, user exit to achieve this.

Are you doing CATS for contractors and IW41 for employees and did not want to capture the cost for contractors in CATS ??
If this is the case, you can set up two different activity types one with zero value and other one with needed value corresponding to two different workcenters. In the operation, you can change the workcenter to allow the right acitvity type.
So if you use, IW41, then the activity type which has the value in KP26 will post the actual cost and if it is CATS, then it directs to ZERO value activity type which cost does not flow to order.

Transfer of Costs in Product Cost Collector to COPA

Dear Experts,
Please can you advise me on this current issue I'm having. Below is a description of problem:
Customer is currently using report designed in COPA (KE30) to derive P&L report for using Plant as a characteristic.
This was being done at a time when Product Costing functionality was not being used
All costs (administrative, sales and production costs) were being collected in cost centers
At end of month assessment of cost center values to COPA is executed (KEU5)
Customer is then able to derive P&L report per Plant characteristic
However with implementation of Product Costing, all Production related costs are captured in Product Cost Collectors and not Cost Center
Hence we have no way of assessing or transferring total production costs from Product Cost Collector to CO-PA
We have tried to configure FI/MM PA transfer structure (KEI1) and default account assignment (OKB9) for automatic transfer of costs on goods receipt/issue, however this is not working because the product cost collector is used as the default account assignment for the transactions
So far only material cost valuation of sales/billed materials are possible (which does not address concern)
As a result we have a gap and customer is unable to derive P&L by Plant from CO-PA.
Can you advise if there is a way out, in order to have all Production Cost transferred to CO-PA.

Hi Ola
Your Cost centers would be categorized as below
1. MFG Cost Centers (In Plant)
2. Service Cost Centers (In Plant)
3. Few Cost centers (outside plant) Eg: Sales, Marketing, Sales offices etc
At period end
1. Allocate the Costs from SER CC to MFG CC using Distribution / Assessment cycle.
This will make SER CC as zero
2. Calculate actual activity price in MFG CC (KSS2 / KSII)
3. After this, do revaluation of PCC using CON2.. This will make balance in MFG CC as zero
4. Allow the Variances to be updated to COPA by ticking the "Variances to Costing based COPA" in your settlement profile
5. In short, what remains for you to allocate to COPA is the 3rd category of CC.. i.e. you should allocate those CC to COPA whose cost is not included in the cost of product using COPC module

Transfer depreciation cost to COPA

Hi COPA gurus,
As i know, there is no way to assign assets to profit segment, and depreciation run is automatic, so how to transfer depreciation cost to COPA directly (not via cost center then allocation to profit segments)?
Another point, business transactions to have Profit segment found automatically using substitution are only transactions from MM modules (price differences, revaluation, inventory differences). So Is substitution not able to apply with depreciation posting in this case?
Could anyone show me, how does depreciation data transfer directly to COPA?

I have the similar issue.
With the cost center in asset master, CO-PA document is not generated.
Instead, Controlling document (CO object is CTR) is generated.
Without the cost conter in asset master, CO-PA document and
Controlling document(CO object CTR as statistics) is also generated.
But, as you mentioned, even with the cost center in asset master,
CO-PA and Controlling document should be generated, right?
Customization I've done are
- GGB1: Substitution
- OKB9: Flag-on to "profitability segment" for the Depreciation cost element
- OKC9: Activate 0_SCO10
If I miss something, pls let me know.

Plant Maintenance Order planning costs transfer to Cost Centers.

1. Capacity Planning
I'm trying to get planning information from a PM order back to a cost center.
I have planned operations in a PM order with a valid activity type and the work center is linked to the Cost Center.
But I cannot see any information in KSBL, Cost Center planning report.
I have tried KSPP - Transfer to Cost Center and KSOP - Transfer to Activity based costing.
Both come up empty.
What am I missing?
2. Costing.
I would like the planned costs in the PM order to settle to the cost center plan. But the PM orders are not configured for planned settlement (I believe that's an SAP setting).
How do I get the planned costs into a cost center's plan?

Thanks, but I'm trying to integrate the planning that happens in a PM order with the cost center. I was able to get planned costs from the orders via S_ALR_87012993.
the lack of planned settlement in a PM order is annoying. We do a lot of work on PM orders and settle actual costs to cost centers. It would be nice to use that same functionality (Operations, Components, task lists) to be able to plan costs and settle the planned costs to cost centers. Internal Orders can settle planned costs to cost centers, why not PM orders?
I believe the KSPP transaction helps to link the two objects somehow, but I can't get it to work. If anybody has any insights, that would be great.
Or should I be pursuing something else?

Costs of components and activities not incorporated in costs of FG

Dear experts,
I am setting up discrete manufacturing in a warehouse with Handling units. The process I follow:
1. Crate handling unit with COWBPACK
2. Do goods receipt with COWBHUWE
3. Consume components with COWBHUWA
When looking at the financial documents behind the goods receipt of the finished product, I notice that the only costs that are booked are the costs of the actual finished product to inventory, but not the activities or the costs of the components...
What am I doing wrong or what configuration is missing?

Hi Pankaj,
When generating PPM/
PDS, the system checks whether the components of the bill of material exist in an active integration model. If not, the corresponding components are not transferred to the PPM.
Compenet will not transfer if :
-Components that have the phantom item indicator are not transferred.
-Components that have the bulk issue indicator are not transferred.
-If the leading material already exists in APO but this leading material is no longer in an active integration model, no data is sent to APO.
If all are fine, will suggest you to to do initial tranfer again.

I have a problem when we want to transfer shipment cost to PO we get the following error 'Forward shipment cost items Incorrect!!!' 'enter currency'. But when i check in shipment cost document, it already has currency. Any idea for this problem??
I want to try set 'no limit' as default in PO Service from shipment cost, because in our scenario we didn't fill service master for PO service shipment cost, so we don't have to calculate condition service master. Is there any way to set 'No Limit' as default

There is a possibility that the cost center you are using may be; blocked to post the costs --> linked to the profit center.
Use another cost center and try it.
Also use the purcahse order which doesnot require release when you are saving the shipment cost document.
Also check the valuation code assigned to the item categroies exixt in obyc or not.
First please check for the cost center; you will surely get it solved.

Your future postings are taken care to the new Profit Center. You only need to address the posting in Jan 2007 or probably until the period you changed the Profit center in the WBS.
Since the value and number of transactions are likely to be limited in January 2007, you may want to use <b>9KE0</b> which is a direct posting to PCA. Identify the value that has gone to the old PCA for the period of Jan 2007, take that amount by cost element, use the same cost elements and amount and make the transfer posting. This is like a journal entry. Debit the old profit center and credit the new profit center with the same amount. This can be controlled by the minus signs to the amount.
Caution; This practise may not be followed too often, the access to thist-code may be restricted to avoid frequent usage.
For the history, you can take a download of the WBS with the amount you are going to transfer.

CATS: Transfer CATS - HR

I need som help with this problem.
When a user has made a entry in CAT2, and saved. The user gets this message in Business Workplace. (the reason is that another user in the HR department is making a change, on this employee 1019, ausingen tcode PA30.
My question is, can i turn off this email funktion somewhere????

Windows Phone states that it is only voice connection when trying to transfer data, and if sharing, Mercedes will not show up as bluetooth device at all. However Merceds show Noika as a device. Can't upload contacts from my nokia n8 to SkyDrive via nokia suite 3.8.48. i choose Instruments - upload to skydrive. then i log in my live.com account, then click "yes" for accses to my data and... nothing happens. initail "copying to skydrive" blue screen with only "later" button available. reinstalling nokia suite, rebootng my phone doesn't help.

Voice memos on phone will not transfer to iTunes.

A little help. I recently updated my iPhone 4 to the iOS6 software and my iTunes to 10.7. Since I did this I can not sync my voice memos on my phone over to iTunes. I have a Macbook Pro.
"include voice memos" is checked.
Desired voice memos to be transfered over do NOT show up under "Voice Memos" tab when iPhone is plugged into iTunes. But I can see them under the "music" tab, I can play them but I can not transfer them over.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Tried the whole "consolidate library" bit to no avail.

Any luck here? Why isn't Apple responding to these questions/issues re: voice memos not synching? I have the same problem, prior to the update I could sync my voice memos no problem and now they will not sync. Since the update my battery life is terrible and apps are slow so i've been advised to reset everything or "restore new" or whatever, which means I need back up everything... all backed up now besides my voice memos. I've been checking and unchecking "include voice memos" with no luck, ended up unchecking Sync Music and now iTunes wants to delete all iPhone "existing content" and "replace with songs and playlists from your iTunes library". Will this delete my iPhone voice memos?? Guess I'm headed into the store tomorrow.

And they were definitely purchased from the iTunes store, they show on the account's purchase history (Store > View Account on a computer's iTunes, or you can view the last 90 days purchases via http://reportaproblem.apple.com) ?
You could potentially log into the account on that computer's iTunes (Store > Sign Out to log out of your account, that will then change to a Store > Sign In option) and redownload them by clicking on the id towards the top right of the iTunes screen and Purchased on the popup :
But that will potentially tie that computer to that account for 90 days : Manage your associated devices in iTunes - Apple Support
Or do you have a different computer that you could redownload them on and then copy them over to that computer via a flash drive or memory card, and then add them to its iTunes via File > Add To Library ?

Tv shows "music videos" still in library but do not transfer when syncing

I have 2 music videos in my "tv shows" category on the iPod. When I sync the iPod, they do not transfer over. I can download them again and then I have them. I have done this 3 times. Now I have 3 of each of these two videos in my "tv shows" part of my library. How do I get them to sync each time?

I figured it out! My "TV shows" was checked to only sync "unwatched" shows and I changed it to sync "all" and it worked. thanks anyway!

You may need to download a lower resolution version of the movie in order for it to sync to your iPod.
