Not turning to the side

Hello. My ipad is not turning to the side and it not on locked orantation thingy. The only way it turns if i turn it off and turn it the the postion i want only . This is hard because most apps work with motions to side side help,,,,

If there isn't a lock symbol at the top of the screen next to the battery indicator then try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If there is a lock symbol, then depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (rotation lock or mute notifications), then you can lock/unlock the rotation by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. I could not turn up the sound (volume) on my iPad 2 using the volume button on the side. This happens after I have reduced the volume to minimum using the same volume button. The volume indicator does not move up at all. Note: it was not on mute, so the issue seems to be the button.

Try this and see if it works.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

It is possible to turn on/off options within the Side Panel by Customization of Groups.
But it seems You cannot influence the way Web Intelligence present (minimized or Off) the Side Panel in the IE??
Is there a solution for this??
If not, it would be a nice property of a Web Intelligence document in a future release.

You cannot use it. You would have had to set it up on your ipod itself before you lost it. Since you did not "turn on the icloud", then you have not set up find my ipod.

I am having the same problem. Itunes reports that it's uploaded all the music etc.
When I turn the match function on, it says "you are not currently subscribed to itunes match".
I have restarted the phone and coputer, logged in & out several times to no avail.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Just a thought - have you charged the battery? You could try putting on the wall charger for about an hour and see if it will turn on. If that's not the issue, You may need to restore the iPad now if nothing else will work for you. Look through the troubleshooting steps in this article and at the end are the instructions for restoring the iPad.

You cannot configure the meter for external buffering in the off mode.
So the question is, are you trying to retrieve any data? If so, then as indicated in the above paragraph, you cannot retrieve data and have the data storage turned off. Good luck!

Yes, I need to retrieve data. So due to that problem, I cannot really get any data. I am not sure is that problem is due to the USB GPIB or not. But once I click on the click arrow, everying goes fine from initialise, measurment... once it comes to Read measurment, it has error (say somthing like: VISA Wait on Event for RQS.vi->HP34401A Read Meas.vi->Untitled 1) I have no idea like what it shows up.

If you have access to an Apple Store or other authorized Apple specialist with service department, you could take the computer in for diagnosis and repair under the AppleCare plan. Or the complementary coverage that comes with the computer if you did not buy the extended plan to add a few more years on the basic one. With the basic plan, you have 90-days support; if you bought the AppleCare extended plan, you have a total of three years support and service. Within the first year (from day of original purchase) you can buy the extended plan. Without it, a fee may be charged to test the computer. Or if there is an Apple Store with Genius bar, you could arrange to get an appointment there, and there should be no charge (in USA) to diagnose the problem.

Not sure what is wrong with the computer, but an expert could tell.
Also if you have an Apple Store nearby (or within reasonable distance) you could call ahead to set an appointment to talk to a Genius, and have them look into the issue(s) the computer may have. One determined to need repair under AppleCare can be handed off, there.
Did you have a backup method in place to save your work off the computer, such as TimeMachine and external hard drive? I mention this because a computer going into the shop for possible repair may lose its content, and the hard drive or other parts may have failed, so your saved stuff in there could be lost.
Hopefully they can get the problem solved.
