On our BBC News today, Nigella Lawson our Domestic Goddess and cookery show superstar was denied entry into the good ole US of A.
Despite having visited regularly she is now not wanted, as it seems there has been a tightening up of the conditions to refuse entry, in her case she was denied access at Heathrow so did not even make it onboard.
There are also many others who are now persona non gratis.
If the reasons are as stated then you can expect never to see Eric Clapton and other rockers who have a history of substance abuse performing in the states again.
During our talk show on the Radio this was discussed and some guy rang in to say that his Dad was American and hence he had dual nationality, then in the late sixties when he visited the states the US Government served his draft papers to him, needless to say he returned home, then forty years later he landed in LA and was promptly arrested.
It seems that the "land of the free" needs a new catchphrase.
So if you guys want to live in a proper free country come to the UK, we let anyone in.

In one point five years ( at age 65 ) I will be a lucky human in the USA who can actually get his " retirement " from working.... if the retirement fund and all the fun stuff going on with retirement "plans " has not gone belly up by then... so I will be getting roughly ( a year and a half from now ) $ 2,000 per month. I have health insurance via military service ( called VA healthcare ).
Hook me up in some shack behind the sheep farm.. I am fine with that.. just want someplace to live without being told I can't smoke cigarettes in my own apartment and there are some nice girls around who don't hate men.
also don't want taxes taken out of my stupid income which is so small already and which already got PAID FOR WITH MY OWN FREAKIN income taxes.. if that is possible ?
Unfortunately your country would suffer from the influx of retired people like me... cause we would not be creating jobs and new businesses but just looking for a nice place to live for the last 20 years of our lives... and who knows WHAT would happen with that sort of freedom and neighborly socializing ? We might become HUMAN and put a damper on the general consumer based capitalist blood sucking business oriented gods in YOUR country ??? No shortage of those morons around no matter where we live IMO.

Yosemite Upgrade : Item Not Available in the USA

Have been trying to do the upgrade since the announcement but keep getting the same message that this Item is not available in the USA. Anyone else having the same issue?

It's available now but the App Store is so overwhelmed that all one gets is a an error message when trying to download it.

European serial number not valid in the USA

I had a licence for LR5 in Europe since february 2014, used it on my PC and now moved to the USA, buying a new PC.
When a want to install LR5 on it, I have an error telling that the serial number is not valid.
I contacted the direct service (by night here :p) and they gave me a procedure that could resolve my problem... BUT one link is always not found.
Here is the procedure :

I am going to guess that the link should end in .exe (one-dot-exe) rather than ..7z (two-dots-seven-z)—the two-dots are wrong for sure and there is an EXE not a 7z at that URL:

Once downloaded you can use the 7-ZIP application to extract the files from the EXE.
It is possible that the tech meant the following .7z URL which is for LR 5.5 and the Creative Cloud version not the serial-number-licensed version, but since you’re dealing with a serial-number-licensed version, hopefully not, it is the one URL that has a .7z on it:

Mail adresse not wanted on the 4s

All the email adresses i use on my computer is automaticly transferred into the contacts on my 4S. Is it possible to stop this. I syncronice with outlook, but i do not want the email adresses to go to my 4s

Cloud tv Android App not available outside the USA

Why is the new cloud TV android app not available to people outside of the USA (Google play store restriction)?
As far as I can tell the iOS app can be installed by anyone so this seems unnecessary.
Also on the EU Toshiba website it mentions the cloud TV app for android.
On a separate note, does anyone know when the firmware update will be released which provides miracast support for the cloud TV platform?

The app took over $35 from my account and there is no way this was authorized. Please advise on how I can recover these funds.

They did the same thing to me on 12/24/11. Apple overcharged me 3 times my purchase amount and have caused my bank account to be overdrawn!
I called my bank to make a statement of unauthorized charges AND filed a complaint with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). Apple provided no way to contact a live rep and the email reps have been useless...so they left me no other option.
I think they do this to their customers very often. It is extremely dishonest.
I actually posted the above info on this discussion community earlier today...and Apple deleted it! If that isn't an admission of guilt, I don't know what is.

Do not want attachments embedded - how do I fix this problem?!?!?!

I frequently have to send attachments in my mail messages (jpegs, tiffs, eps). However, every time I send attachments in jpeg, eps and tiff formats the recipient cannot download them. They are either invisible or embedded in the message - which I do NOT want. The only attachments that my clients seem to NOT have problems with are pdf's. How do I fix this problem? For now, whenever I have to send attachments in those formats, I have to switch over to Entourage. It does not make sense that this is a problem, since most designers use macs and have to deal with graphics on a daily basis, I am stunned that Mac is having this issue. I cringe that I have to switch to a Microsoft product in order to send certain e-mails. HELP!!!

When I receive mail, there is no problem. Attachments that people send me show up in an attachment list at the top of their message, just like in Entourage. I can flip the triangle and see the list of file names in their attachments, and can drag from this list to the location where I want to put a copy of the file. The fact that the image itself shows up at the bottom of the message isn't a problem (and is sometimes a benefit).
But when sending mail, it is very hard for me to compose my message. I can't control the attachments, and can't review the names of the files that I have included just before hitting "send".
Here is the Entourage format, which is what I really want. There is a place to put the attachments where they are independent of the message. I can drag a new attachment to this list any time while writing my message.

Reboot, I do NOT want everything to re-open

The more I use OS X Lion the less I Like it.
When I re-boot/restart, I do NOT want all the software and files to re-open with the reboot. I REPEAT!! I do NOT want all the software and files to re-open with the reboot.
Is there anyway to STOP this from happening....PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE I hope there is.
I think LION has gone way to far in making the techies happy, but the millions of "Normal" users, very, very confused and ticked off.
p.s. I have only 10 fingers and need 5-10 fingers more to STOP the constant expansion and weird action of the trackpad and Magic Mouse.

You can ONLY buy fro the itunes store of your country of residence and ONLY while inside the borders of that country.
You CANNOT buy from another country's itunes store.
